tab ✁ Immortality: He can essentially live forever, if allowed. He's not entirely corporeal, after all. But that doesn't mean he can't be hurt or killed. It's just, whoever would want to kill him would have to be pretty darn dedicated.
tab ✁ Heightened Senses: Aside from sight, Remi can sense things other beings cannot. Be it a time rift, supernatural entity, or the nuances of tea fragrances.

tab ✁ Reaper (sealed): When his father took his right eye, his ability to reap the souls of the dead/dying and transform into a reaper were taken away. On the bright side, looking into his eyes no longer makes you feel the overwhelming dread of your inevitable demise. He can also still sense the makeup of peoples' souls. Literally, he can take one look at a person and have a sense of who they are and what they've been through. While not inherently a reaper power, it comes with the territory of reaping millions upon millions of souls for centuries.

Bio: The footnotes version of Remi's life is this: he was the son of death and now over a thousand years later he's a happy grandpa. But it's a little more complicated than that. He was born without a name, but he had a purpose: reap the souls of the dead and dying. Considering his father is the God of Death, it made sense. But eventually, in a time now long forgotten, there was a war that threatened the balance of the multiverse. Remi was one of the 300 children death sent to rebuild a balance. Of those 300, he proved the most capable in war tactics and was given the job of general. One of his fellow generals was a fae known as Rosaline Woodland Shields. She was the one who gave him his name, though she originally thought Remir would sound better than Remi. Eventually, the war ended and they ended up marrying. The wedding cost them more than money--Remi's father sealed Remi's powers into his right eye and plucked it out. But it was a sacrifice that was worth it, for now he got to spend eternity with his wife. They run a small tavern in a different plane of existence for adventurers and warriors, but their proudest achievement were their twins--a boy and girl named Markus and Lacie. After their kids had their own adventures, they took over the tavern so Remi and Rosie could retire. While they've gone to and fro, they eventually led on new lives in the modern realm. Remi enjoys working in school environments, so Heartwood became a clear target for his retirement plan. As for Rosie, while she stayed for a while, the news of them finally being grandkids led to her heading back to the tavern to play parent again.
Personality: Honestly, he can be a pretty cool teacher. Generally laid back and perpetually calm, Remi likes to be seen as the teacher you can go to when you need advice without it sounding preachy. That being said, when he is teaching, he can often come off as unorthodox or even sly. More often than not, he rarely does what most expect. He values patience more than strength, which likely comes from centuries of seeing and involving himself in war. He detests unnecessary violence, but his patience for younger individuals is a lot more lenient than for those who have already passed the century mark. He admires mortality, and how flexible a young mind can be, so he tries his best to be a positive influence.
