Tuesday night, Sailor Ptolemaeus arrived at around 8:30 pm on the building roof to ensure he wasn't late for when its clock struck 9. He hadn't thought to specify where in relation to this building they would be meeting because he had assumed that, since they'd been on the building of a rooftop prior, Themisto had been thinking of this building's roof.
Even if the senshi of the lost hadn't had the roof in mind, though, the height afforded one an advantage when it came to seeing who was lingering at the structure's base or entering it. If the rendezvous was intended by the other to be indoors, Ptolemy could have always just sensed his energy signature and entered the building to find him.
At first, the Dark Mirror Senshi had thought that Themisto would have just told him where to find this Kallichore or told her where to find him, but his final, 'see you then' implied otherwise. For many reasons, the hooded super sailor scout was glad the White Moon Super seemed to have also wanted to join them. At least with a mutual acquaintance, their introductions could go more smoothly and he probably wouldn't have to waste so much time assuring the Order being that he didn't want to fight and wasn't an enemy.
Though Themisto hadn't mentioned Kallichore's rank, Ptolemy guessed that someone who had been present for the creation of his court must have been a veteran when it came to this war and therefore was probably an eternal by now. He wasn't sure how comfortable he would have been meeting one of those from the White Moon for the first time if they didn't understand his intentions prior. If things went wrong, they probably could have easily wiped him out.
In addition to his presence making things go more smoothly, the senshi of change would be happy to meet Themisto again and learn more about him. Their meeting last time had seemed too short to learn all that much about each other, especially because it had largely been spent discussing courts. Kallichore made him curious, too, as her own sphere hadn't been brought up. Heck, for all he knew, she might have been a knight rather than a senshi.Lucifer Force ((Sorry this took me a bit to start! sweatdrop Got pretty busy yesterday. Ptolemy would feel the prickling burst of two Order signatures scaling the building not too far away from his position. The signatures moved quickly, in tandem with each other, jumping from ledge to ledge, gaining altitude as the clock ticked slowly towards the appointed time. They could feel him, just as he could feel them, one more powerful than the other. Themisto reached the rooftop before his companion, and perhaps it was purposefully so. The Senshi of the Lost had felt Ptolemy and was honestly surprised the Dark Mirror Senshi was early. He wasn't sure exactly what to think about Ptolemy. Part of him was distrustful simply based on the fact that Ptolemy's starseed was full of Chaos. On the other hand... he didn't seem so bad on the surface. The Super Senshi did his best to be friendly, at the very least. The Dark Mirror was outnumbered and was technically taking a risk that Themisto initially didn't think much about. "Ptolemy! Hey, dude. Glad you could make it." I guess. Maybe. I dunno what to think anymore. "You held up your end of things. I held up mine." Behind him stood an eternal senshi, whose body glowed with supernatural markings indicating her transcendence. Themisto was visibly trying to avert his eyes from them - they made his skin crawl. She, on the other hand, seemed right at home, offering a slight bow to Ptolemy. She didn't seem at all averse to Dark Mirrors. Voice even, demeanor calm. "You must be Ptolemaeus. Themisto told me about you. You... have some questions about the Dark Mirror Court? There are few of us who remain that remember their creation. I'm happy to answer what questions you may have." She cast a glance up to Themisto, who stood a good two inches taller than his companion. He looked away sheepishly. "....yeaaaahhhh so I didn't really listen to the whole mirror-walker schpiel... I remember Ares. Ptolemy said she's gone or somethin'. Look, I thought you were just... makin' stuff up. Bein' creepy." Kallichore seemed to chuckle lightly. "I'm not surprised. Ptolemaeus," The eternal turned her attention back to their Dark Mirror counterpart. "Are Remarque and Leto still the rulers of the Court in Ares' absence? I saw them a few months ago, dealing with something in the park."

Taking careful note of the synchronization between the pair of energy signatures as he picked up on them, Ptolemaeus began to wonder what kind of relationship Themisto had with this Kallichore. They must have been decently close if the former had believed the latter to tell him the story of the Dark Mirror Court just to mess with him. Their harmonized movements only seemed to support this theory. Perhaps they worked in a team and were thus well-accustomed to each others' actions. Curious as he was, though, the Dark Mirror Senshi decided not to inquire about it unless the information was willingly volunteered. He was already asking a lot of the pair as it was and he was grateful for anything he could get.
Ptolemy straightened up when Themisto appeared and grinned, raising a hand in greeting as he resisted the urge to tease. The 6'3" male seemed perfectly at ease and had straightened his posture out of respect rather than tension. "Hey, Themisto! Thanks for coming; I really do appreciate this. I owe you both, now."
Once the unfamiliar eternal had joined them on the rooftop, Ptolemy performed an elaborate bow before his posture slumped and he reverted back to the casual stance he'd had prior to the others' arrival. He regarded her glowing markings with intense interest, having never seen anything like them before, and emitted a high, impressed whistle. "Well aren't you a work of living art," he remarked, beaming. "And you must be the knowledgable Kallichore. It's a pleasure." The young man appeared pleased that the eternal seemed as relaxed around him as he did around them. "Please, call me Ptolemy."
He nodded to verify that he did, indeed, had questions about his court. "It means a lot that you would come all this way to meet me. If there's any way I can ever return the favor, don't hesitate to let me know." He then followed her gaze to the senshi of the lost. Simply witnessing the pair's interaction with one another once more summoned his grin, broader than ever, to his face. This time he couldn't hold back with the teasing. "You seem to get creeped out pretty easily, don't you, Them?"
Folding his arms behind his head, he shifted his weight from one leg to the other and sucked in a deep breath to blow it slowly out while considering the question asked of him. "I don't know about the term 'rulers'. I've only ever met Remarque in person and he seemed more like a friendly mentor than anything to me. A leader, perhaps, but not a ruler with rules. He's protective of our court members and eager to answer questions, provide guidance or help however he can. But he doesn't tell us what we can or can't do. He'll explain his beliefs about Mirrorspace, the other factions, and the war to those who ask, but he allows us to make our own decisions and form our own opinions. I greatly respect and admire him for that."
Unfolding his arms, he absently pressed his knuckles to his chin as he continued. "Remarque mentioned Ares, I believe, but I haven't heard of any Leto. Are they a royal senshi, too?" How ironic that he wasn't aware of his own court's royalty and yet a member from another court was. Then again, he was still a great deal newer than her and Themisto hadn't seemed to be familiar with his own court's royalty, either.
Oh...Kallichore had seen Remarque dealing with something in the park? That must have been during the situation regarding that giant rogue mirrorwraith or something. It was a shame he'd missed such an adventure, but he'd been so busy with his civilian life at the time, balancing work and school, that he had only heard of the event after it was all over.

Kitomyx Sorry for the re-notification, I forgot about Zirconia and needed to edit! Kallichore didn't seem too phased by Ptolemy's interest, even if it did seem to irk Themisto slightly. "Knowledge more than art, I'm afraid, but thank you. Have you not seen something like this? I can explain, but I feel your search for knowledge of the Dark Mirror Court supersedes it." Themisto made to sit on the nearby air conditioning unit, leaning over to rest his elbows on his knees. The jab at being easily creeped out earned Ptolemy a quick and immature raspberry, to which Kallichore seemed to chuckle. "...I got my comfort zone. Eyes on people where eyes shouldn't be is kinda outside that comfort zone, dude." The fact that Ptolemy hadn't met Leto personally seemed to confuse the eternal. She tilted her head at him, curious. "Oh? Leto was the first to be... baptized, as Ares called it. You are correct - she is a Princess. Perhaps she disappeared, like Ares has? It's hard to say. She is the senshi of camouflage, after all." Another short and light chuckle shook her shoulders, but otherwise Kallichore seemed more serene than amused. She shifted her weight, quietly regarding Ptolemy as he explained his rather positive relationship with, and regard for, Remarque. The other half of the Dark Mirror royalty. "...guidance is very important, in all things." The fact that members of the Dark Mirror Court weren't aware of their own royalty rolled about in Kallichore's head. Perhaps Remarque wasn't so keen on revealing these specifics to the Court members. Perhaps Leto was not nearly as hands-on as Kallichore had assumed. "Princess Leto became a Super Senshi that night, six years ago. Ares was once a Parallel - a type of senshi who hailed from another universe, one parallel to ours. Their senshi wore black just as we wear white. I don't know everything about that place, however, Ares used to tell me stories." "---Ares n'... Serene?" Themisto echoed, picking through his brain to try and fish out the bits he'd actually bothered to remember from this bedtime-story-turned-reality. "Selene." the eternal gently corrected. "Selene, Ares, Aphrodite, Gaia. All Greek names. Zirconia was their cat and mentor, of sorts. Ares briefly mentioned a Prince, but I don't recall her ever naming him."

"Don't have to be any less of one to be the other, do you?" the tall senshi inquired, still smiling. "And no, I haven't. You're right, but if you're still willing to explain later, I'd be happy to listen." Perhaps it had something to do with her sphere, which he had also neglected to learn.
At Themisto's raspberry, Ptolemy laughed aloud and was interested to notice Kallichore's amusement as well. When he seemed to be indirectly scolded by Themisto, the taller male appeared confused for a moment before his laughter started up all over again. "Are you talking about when I was admiring her markings?" He asked, jabbing a thumb in the eternal's direction. He now wondered more than ever what the Super and Eternal's relationship with one another was. "Themisto, babe..." His grin gradually stretched wider across his face as he continued to speak, dark eyes focusing on his addressee's sepia brown ones.
"I'll be honest. I tend to creep people out pretty often, both as a senshi and a civilian. Sometimes it's just because I like watching people to draw them because I have a hobby of sketching. But if my libido is involved, I rarely limit myself to just looking." He interlocked his fingers and stretched his arms in front of him, palms out. "See, I'm a very touchy-feely person and I'm not picky about who I come into contact with. Whether guy or girl, no matter if it's a friendly hug or an angry punch to the face, I enjoy physical contact. You seemed pretty skittish and wary when I first met you and I didn't want to freak you out any more than you already were, so I left you alone. But believe me...if I'm actually being a pervert, I'm open about it. People can tell because I usually have my hands all over them." Ptolemy held up his palms innocently. "I've been good so far, though. It's not like I don't know how to behave when I want to."
Now that that was settled, they could get down to the matter at hand. The Dark Mirror Senshi raised his brows at the information about Leto and considered why Remarque hadn't mentioned her. He'd had no reason to, Ptolemy supposed. She probably didn't 'rule' over the court any more than Remarque did. It might even have been less if his lack of seeing her around or hearing about her was any indication. If her sphere was camouflage, though, as Kallichore had said, that certainly made sense. Perhaps she wanted to keep a low profile.
"A Parallel..." Ptolemy repeated, recalling that Themisto had mentioned the term during their previous meeting. "Hmm...I wonder if that world had corrupt senshi who wore white," he commented musingly. A shame Ares didn't seem to be around to tell stories now. He would have adored learning about what it was like in her world.
He blinked when more names were mentioned. "I think I know those names. Selene was the Goddess of the Moon, Ares was the God of War, Aphrodite was the Goddess of Love and Beauty, and Gaia was the Goddess of Earth. But what do those gods have to do with anything?" His brow creased in bewilderment. "Zirconia...?" That wasn't a god as far as he knew. "Wait, are we talking about gods or something else? Are these all Parallels?" The senshi of change sneered. "Do all Parallels have Greek God names? That's weird."

Themisto wasn't sure what to do with Ptolemy's admission to being touchy-feely and being called babe. The Dark Mirror really was in a league all his own, and it wasn't one Themisto felt comfortable playing in. Maybe eyes on people's bodies didn't bother Ptolemaeus because he'd seen worse. Or maybe weird stuff just didn't bother him. Maybe, for Ptolemy, weird was fun and exciting.Kallichore seemed unphased by the two boys' conversation, instead nodding to the Dark Mirror's assumption. "I thought the same, though I have no way of confirming such a thing. Ares mentioned that she was trapped here, with no way to return to her universe, once her Princess had been killed. I can only assume their planets were named for the Greek gods, instead of using Mars and Venus like we do. I never met Aphrodite or Selene, but Gaia used to be a member of the Court. She became a Dark Mirror with Ares' ascension. Is she gone as well?" If Gaia also disappeared, perhaps she was with Ares. The two of them, aside from Zirconia, were the only ones who remembered the world they came from. The eternal nodded again at Ptoelmaeus' confusion. "All the Parellel senshi I personally knew of had Greek God names, but Zirconia did not. She was their cat, and didn't seem to follow the same rules. Though," Kallichore trailed off for a moment, gazing at a spot somewhere above Ptolemaeus' left shoulder. "...Zirconia did not change when Ares ascended to Princess. She did retain the ability to manipulate mirrors. Last I saw her, she was researching something odd having to do with your starseeds." Themisto looked up from his position on the air conditioning unit. "Their souls? Everybody's, or just the Dark Mirror ones? I wouldn't want anybody messing with my soul, no thank you. Cat or no, that s**t's gotta stay in my chest." Turning back to Ptolemaeus, Kallichore crossed her arms and shifted her weight on her heels. "Ares briefly mentioned a Prince but I cannot confirm what his name was. Perhaps it was Greek as well, but why Zirconia did not have a Greek name, I do not know. I do know she had powers that no other cat seemed to possess, and she was manipulating a starseed last I saw her. Evidently, Dark Mirror Senshi have a strange, reflective coating over their starseeds that is wholly unlike anyone else's." The Super Senshi sat straight up. "You mean... you saw this cat messin' with some Dark Mirror person's soul? How'd she get it? Can this Zirconia just... pull that s**t outta somebody's chest? Like the Negaverse does?!" Kallichore shook her head in the negative. "No, Zirconia happened upon this one because a Negaverse officer named Wolframite had taken it from someone else, and hoped Zirconia would crush it. She did not, and rather wished to unravel the secrets of the Dark Mirror, rather than snuffing out the soul."

Ptolemaeus listened attentively as Kallichore spoke of Ares being trapped and her princess killed. That must have been terrible. Was it possible then, perhaps, that the reason Ares had vanished was because she had found some way to return to her own world? If so, he wouldn't have blamed her in the least. "Hm...I actually haven't heard anything about any Gaia, so I couldn't tell you. Sorry about that." Grinning, he added, "It's funny....all of the planets in our solar system were named after Roman Gods except for Uranus for whatever reason, which is a Greek God name. I wonder if their equivalent of Uranus is a Roman God's name. Caelus, I think it was. And Uranus aka Caelus happened to be the husband of Gaia aka Terra." Not that the names of their planets or senshi were of much relevance to them here and now. He was probably getting too off-topic.
He scratched his head. "Do you know what kind of energy signature Ares and the other Parallels had before Ares and Gaia became Dark Mirror Senshi? Or what Zircona's was? I know guardians' are a lot harder to tell but did she have a star?" Then again, that maybe the information about guardian cat star colors wouldn't have applied to parallel world cats. Maybe it was the opposite, like the senshi with their light and dark fukus. Or maybe they didn't have stars at all. Maybe they had another shape or something else to distinguish them as different from other cats.
"Ah. You said that Parallels were a type of senshi, so I figured that all Parallels were senshi. I guess it stands to reason that not all people from that parallel world would be sailor scouts, though." He sat himself down on the ground, his legs out in front of him but bent at the knees like twin mountain peaks. The teen clasped his hands in front of them as he murmured. "A cat that can manipulate mirrors? Can all guardian cats do that, or just the Parallel world ones? Or just Zirconia?" Despite having talked to a few, he still didn't know all that much about guardian cats, let alone ones from a parallel world. Themisto's proclamation caused Ptolemy to grin at him and shake his head. "No one's gonna steal your soul, least of all some cat from another world."
The tattooed sailor scout returned his attention to Kallichore as she spoke of the Parallels' prince and Zircona having special powers. "Oh, alright. I was wondering why I'd never heard of cats being able to mirrorwalk and stuff before; not even guardian cats." The mention of the reflective coating caused him to raise his brows. "Was it...you wouldn't happen to know if that coating did anything to protect it, do you? Was Wolframite unable to crush it on their own? Was that why they had given it to Zircona?" Did the coating protect the seed from being corrupted by the Negaverse' chaos, or was it a sort of chaos on its own? Maybe it was both. Maybe it was the reason why Dark Mirror Senshi had chaotic energy signatures but were still different from those of Negaverse agents.

Ah, then perhaps Gaia disappeared with Ares. Perhaps they found a way back home.Kallichore nodded slowly, brows furrowing slightly as she watched Ptolemaeus. He seemed like a wealth of trivia, which she appreciated. Themisto just thought their Dark Mirror counterpart was a nerd, but he didn't voice it. Instead, he tucked away that little bit of info in case it came in handy during Bar Trivia Night. The question of Ares and Gaia's energy signature had Kallichore tilting her head. He was astute, and she appreciated that immensely. "Their energy signatures were wholly unlike yours or ours. It was... something in-between. Difficult to describe, since no one else possessed a signature quite like that. I'd say... gray, perhaps, would be the closest thing I could think of. Neither light, nor dark completely, but something in between." Nodding, the eternal thought that might be a satisfactory answer. Without something immediately to show him, it was difficult to describe the energy signatures long lost to time. "Zirconia did not have a star, but a black crescent moon. Its points faced downward, and she wore a choker with a winged eye. As far as I'm aware, Zirconia was unique in her ability to manipulate mirrors. I've met a few others cats, and none of them seemed to possess the same qualities." The Dark Mirror senshi's demeanor changed, and rightfully so. Alarmed he must have been, to find that his starseed possessed a mirror-like coating that no other starseeds seemed to have. Themisto was shocked as well, eyes widening and casting a confused glance at Ptolemy. Did it hurt to have a mirror-coating like that? Did that mean Ptolemy was something other than a senshi? The eternal drew a breath, beginning slowly and steadfastly. "...I do not know why Wolframite had given the starseed to Zirconia, unfortunately. The Negaverse must've attacked the Dark Mirrors at some point to retrieve the seed, or Wolframite was acting on his own. I'm not sure if he could have devoured or crushed it himself - and yes, Negaverse agents can and do ingest starseeds, Themisto." The super senshi visibly paled and gulped thickly at the thought. "That being said, Zirconia could manipulate this coating on your starseeds, to some extent. It shrieked when she attempted to remove it, as if it were some living entity. Unfortunately, her research was in its infancy when I saw her last, and I have not seen her since. That is all I know about the reflective finish on your starseed." It might have had something to do with Wolframite's run-in with the Blood Moon Court, for which Kallichore was not present. She frowned for a moment, casting her eyes to the sea of stars above them. "Ptolemaeus, have you ever heard of the Blood Moon Court?"

As Kallichore fed Ptolemy one new piece of information after the other, the Dark Mirror Senshi carefully categorized and stowed them away in the file folders of his mind. In-between energy signatures? And here he'd thought that the Dark Mirror Court had been the most 'in-between' one could get, even if they were chaotic. Did that mean all the senshi in Ares' parallel world were in-between? All the powered beings, perhaps? Too bad they didn't seem to have any way of figuring that out as of yet. But then...did that mean Ares had become...corrupted in a sense, then, if her signature had become chaotic? What if she had been more balanced prior?
The mention of the black crescent moon and a winged eye symbols also fascinated the super senshi. They must have meant something...hadn't Remarque and some other Dark Mirror Senshi worn symbols of eyes with black crescent moons? That couldn't have been a coincidence. "Did Ares and Gaia also share those symbols, do you you know, or did they have their own?"
It was starting to sound more and more like the Dark Mirror Court may have been caused by the cat Zirconia's doings more so than Ares' if the cat was the one who had been able to manipulate mirrors and if it was her symbols that many of the court members wore. It seemed impossible at this point to say whether parallel world cats had been just as strong or possessed the same abilities, but it seemed certain, at least, that she capable of things that no other feline guardian of Earth could do. Then the questions of what, exactly, she had done and why she had done them came up.
The confused and shocked looks from Themisto evoked another smile from Ptolemy, amused at the Senshi of the Lost's reactions. These things didn't even affect the guy directly and yet he seemed personally invested in the whole situation. Surprised as he was at the news himself, he still found Themisto's behavior to be endearing.
Ptolemaeus returned his attention to the story. He was still puzzled about some things. Remarque had told him that Ares, as Queen of the Dark Mirror Court, had made an alliance with the Negaverse at one point a long time ago, so it sounded like it had been more likely that Wolframite had acted on his own. But if Kallichore wasn't even sure of that, it was probably better not to speculate.
"So...did Ares become Queen of the Dark Mirror Court before Zirconia found out about the mirror coating?" He frowned slightly. "Do we know how Ares changed from a Parallel senshi to a Dark Mirror Queen? She wasn't the Senshi of Mirrors, right? Could her transformation have had something to do with Zirconia?"
It didn't sound like it if Zirconia herself hadn't understood the nature of the mirror coating on the seeds and had tried herself to remove it. It had shrieked? "You know...our court often talks about Mirrorspace as a living entity in itself..." he murmured, thinking aloud. "I wonder if that coating is a piece of it; like a part of its soul bound to ours or something..."
The way it sounded like it had resisted removal, however, almost made Ptolemy question if it wasn't a parasite of some kind. The concept certainly was disturbing. Or perhaps it was a sort of mutually symbiotic relationship somehow. If only all the beings from the parallel world hadn't seemed to vanish from existence, they could have asked someone about this. If only Zirconia was still around.
"Thank you for all your information, Kallichore," he finally told her when she concluded about the coating. "You've really helped me out a lot."
He was surprised to find that that didn't seem to be all, however. His tattooed face turned sharply to her when she asked him about the Blood Moon Court. "I've heard of it, yes," Ptolemy answered. "Is there something you can tell me about them as well?"

Kallichore looked up at the sky for a moment, sifting through the fuzzy memories she had of Ares' physicality prior to her corruption. She wore a tiara, just like the rest of them did, but... "...hmm... no, I don't recall her having a crescent moon symbol. She wore a tiara and the same regalia most of the rest of us do, though hers and Gaia's were considerably more... fancy? Lace accouterments and the like. But no, I don't recall her or Gaia wearing crescent moons or any symbol in particular." She folded her hands over her stomach and watched as Ptolemy worked through this information on his own. She had no reason at all to lie - and if Ptolemy collaborated with others who witnessed the same event, he would come to the same conclusion. She tilted her head at his next question - the symbology of the eyes and crescent moons were peculiar in Kallichore's opinion as well. "Ares' corruption and Zirconia's research seemed, to me, to be independent of one another. Zirconia did not corrupt when Ares did, and her research did not begin until quite some time after the fact. A year or so, perhaps more? From what I recall, Zirconia went into hiding after Ares and Gaia corrupted. Her signature did not change, while Ares and Gaia's did." She reached up to tap her chin. Something Scylla had mentioned months before... What was it? "...someone else from the Blood Moon mentioned Ares' transformation pen was taken from her, for some reason. The Blood Moon operated somewhat militarily, with a higher council acting as a judiciary council, if you will. I was never a part of it - the council, I mean - but that group decided rewards and punishments. If they decided Ares was a danger to herself and others, there must've been a good reason for it." Themisto sat up and crossed his arms, frowning at the eternal. "...so, this Blood Moon Court, they're not around anymore? They got disbanded when Ares went bonkers and decided to corrupt? Can you do that? I mean, I thought somebody had to come in and, you know, pump ya full'a Chaos and all that to get the deed done. How'd Ares like... corrupt herself? Why would you wanna change like that?" It makes no sense to me, to just... succumb? Is that the right word? Dammit... The Super Senshi looked to Ptolemy and shrugged in apology. "...I dunno, Ptolemy, it's kinda confusing to me. Not that you're like... super evil or anything..." " Evil, just like good, is on a spectrum." Kallichore explained, voice calm and even. "I can't claim to know exactly what drove Ares to change like that, and to pull others in with her, I imagine loneliness was a contributing factor. Ares and some other senshi came together to form the Blood Moon Court, in an effort to maintain some kind of brutal force against the Negaverse. I was one of their cadets, and a personal recruit of Ares herself. This is where my information originates."

Ptolemy contemplated the details he was showered with as he rearranged his legs to cross them and drummed his fingers on each of his knees. "...No symbols. Huh," he repeated softly to himself. He then began the tedious task of detangling more facts and events he was fed.
"So it was possible that Zirconia might have been trying to undo Ares' corruption into the Dark Mirror Court by learning more about what the Dark Mirror Senshi even were. But I'm still having trouble understanding where the Blood Moon Court fit in to all of this. I don't know which court came into being first.” The super senshi considered what he was told about the Blood Moon Court and attempted to consolidate it with what he knew of his own. "Okay...just to clarify, first of all, what faction was the Blood Moon Court? What were their energy signatures like? Were they order like the White Moon Court, different like the parallel senshi court, corrupted like the Negaverse, corrupted like the Dark Mirror Court's, or something else altogether?" Running a hand through his hair, he continued, "Who exactly made up the Blood Moon Court? Were all the parallel senshi and Zirconia a part of it? I’m assuming there were others as well, unless the court was the name of the parallel senshi's. Or did the Blood Moon Court exist before the parallel beings showed up? How did it even get formed? And its council you mentioned - who was on it?" Holding out his hands, he began to count off each event on his fingers as he tried to place them chronologically on a theoretical timeline. "Let me get this straight. I'm not sure I have all the pieces in the right places, but here's my attempt at putting them together so far. First, Ares, Gaia, Zirconia, and other parallel senshi came to Earth from a parallel world. The parallel world senshi had a prince and princess, but the prince was left behind in that world and the princess died by some means when she came to this one, so the rest of the parallel senshi were stuck here."
He paused, considering something. "Regardless of the reason, Ares decided to make the Blood Moon Court complete with a council which she might or might not have been a part of. Do you know why she made the court or whether or not she was on the council? I'm assuming since they took Ares' henshin pen away from her, she wasn't a part of them, but I suppose they could have just overruled her." Ptolemy shrugged. "Whatever the case, her pen was taken, which meant she probably shouldn't have been able to power up if parallel powered beings are like the ones here. But then have to have tried living as a normal civilian among us even being from a parallel world." The teen supported his elbow on his knee and his chin on his palm. "Unless she corrupted before they took her pen away and that was the reason they took her pen. But maybe she found another pen or some other means to power up.
"One way or another, though, Ares and Gaia corrupted into Dark Mirror Senshi somehow and Zirconia subsequently left the parallel senshi - and the Blood Moon Court? - to go into hiding. We don't know why but it could be because she opposed the corruption of Ares and Gaia regardless of whether it was their choice or not. Heck, she may even have been trying to escape whatever corrupted them in order to save them as possibly one of the last parallel beings to remain uncorrupted." He rubbed at his temples. There were so many unknown factors. "Do we at least know why Ares decided to make the Dark Mirror Court or how she became its queen, especially without her henshin pen or guardian cat? And why did the Blood Moon Court disband after Ares corrupted into a Dark Mirror Senshi?“
Taking a deep breath, the dark-eyed senshi attempted to continue pushing through his guesses as to what events had happened in what order. "So Ares became a queen through some unknown method, whether doing it herself or some force granting her that power, like the will of Mirrorspace. We don't know if it was even her choice or if she could have been being manipulated here, right, since chaotic energy and shrieking mirror coatings were involved? Also doesn't bode well that she created an alliance between the Dark Mirror Court and the Negaverse after.
“If Wolframite took a starseed from a Dark Mirror Court member, that was either before the alliance was made or he was in violation of said alliance. The fact that he gave the seed to Zirconia is interesting because as far as we know, neither Wolframite nor Zirconia had reason to associate with each other and Zirconia would have had to come out of hiding to meet him. Maybe they had something in common that motivated them to work with each other, like not trusting the Dark Mirror Court or whatever entity created it such as whatever sentience Mirrorspace exhibits.” Ptolemy exhaled slowly as he examined and re-examined the facts presented to him. “Maybe they were trying to understand it better. Especially if Zirconia wanted to purify the parallel senshi. But those are all just conjectures.”
Looking up at Kallichore curiously, he asked, “How do you know that Wolframite gave Zirconia a starseed if Zirconia was in hiding? Was the Blood Moon Court aware of her whereabouts even if Ares and the Dark Mirror Court wasn’t? Or did Ares and Gaia disappear before Zirconia showed herself again and Zirconia disappeared after?”
Pushing himself back up to his feet, Ptolemy took another few deep breaths and began to pace. “So basically, Ares made the Blood Moon Court with other senshi, some if not all parallels included. Not sure if Zirconia was a part of it. But when the Blood Moon Court basically kicked her out or something and took her pen, she might have gotten lonely and somehow managed to corrupt due to her loneliness. Some how she got back enough power to make the Dark Mirror Court and tracked down some of the Blood Moon Court members to convert them into Dark Mirror Senshi. Once the Dark Mirror Court was created, the Blood Moon Court was disbanded. Is that right?” He pressed the tips of his fingers together. “Why and how did it disband? Was it Ares’ will to get them to disband after they took her pen?”
He glanced at Themisto and extended his arms in a helpless gesture. “Hey, it’s not like it’s any less confusing to me. I don’t feel like my will is impacted, as I’ve been told some Negaverse agents’ are through brainwashing and such, but I guess I wouldn’t know for sure if I really was being manipulated. At least our court seems different enough from the Negaverse to me, and even if Ares allied herself with them, Remarque, certainly, does not.”
A smile came to his lips. “I suppose the whole thing is ironic twice over, then. The Blood Moon Court was created to attack the Negaverse with brute force. Once she was kicked out, Ares retaliated against them by making the Dark Mirror Court and allied with the Negaverse. But now that she’s gone, though we’re still mostly directionless, Remarque is steering us back down the path that the Blood Moon Court seemed to walk, which was against the Negaverse.” Shaking his head, he laughed sardonically. “Wow…no wonder no one knows where our loyalties lie.”Lucifer Force ((Sorry for the delay! Kitomyx No worries! Your avi is AWESOME And I'm coloring their dialogue to make things easier to read cuz this got LENGTHY. I hope that is okay/helps! (the other greens were barely discernible from black ugh) The Senshi of Madness nodded to Ptolemaeus, listening intently as he audibly worked through all the information she had to give. It was quite a bit to sort through. His questions were valid and she patiently answered each one. "The Blood Moon Court was a sub-group of White Moon Senshi. They came together under a united cause, and came before the birth of the Dark Mirrors." How long before? Kallichore would have to think on that. It was near the beginning of her tenure as a senshi, some six years ago. That night, she and Ares had been chased by Alkaid and General Serandite and nearly lost their lives. If it weren't for Ares' quick thinking and mirrorwalking capabilities, she and Ptolemaeus wouldn't be having this conversation. "None were corrupted, it was simply a... union, of sorts. Some Parallels were part of the group - Ares, Gaia and Zirconia were the ones I saw myself, but I heard Ares speak of others. I do not know who they are. For the most part, the Blood Moon was comprised of like-minded White Moon Senshi with Ares as part of the ruling council."
"As far as I am aware, Ares and the other Parallels existed before the formation of the Blood Moon Court." Themisto was intently watching his elder sibling, though he tried to hide it from Ptolemaeus, lest the Dark Mirror correctly guess their relation, despite the glamour. He was sure she could hold her own, but didn't wish to risk anything, regardless. "The fact that the Negaverse was continually victorious lent many senshi the idea to form their own group that was more... bloodthirsty than the White Moon typically is. While most of the faction at that time was searching for a Moon Princess or some kind of crystal, the Blood Moon performed tactical strikes against important Negaverse officers or strongholds. Ares herself destroyed one of the Negaverse General-Kings named Marthozite, though I was not present for that particular operation.""The Council was comprised of several individuals, including Ares. I myself was not a part of it, though Birhan Isat was one of the members. Albali was as well, though I have not seen either of them in many years. The Council was a ruling committee, since the White Moon did not operate in an organized fashion the way the Negaverse does. I get the sense that the Dark Mirror Court lives by the same principle."She listened quietly as the Dark Mirror Super began putting the pieces together. Their history was a long and sordid affair, and with Ares gone and Remarque having come far after her ascension, much of that history was lost or disregarded. She nodded in places and made mental note of gentle corrections. It was easy to get lost of misunderstood with the breadth of history they were dealing with. "You are mostly correct, yes." Brown eyes were cast skyward, searching for the names of the Princess and Princess. Scylla knew one of them at one time, the prince. What was his name? "Yes, Gaia, Ares, Aphrodite and Zirconia, along with the prince and princess, came into this world to search for something. I am not positive what that something happens to be. Scylla was one of my Blood Moon comrades, and she mentioned having met the Prince. A blonde man, though I don't recall her mentioning his name. The Prince died somehow, as did the Princess, which, I assume, cut off the Parallel's ability to return home. I do not know those details, but Sailor Scylla may very well.""Yes, you are correct, in that Ares helped to create the Blood Moon Court with the hopes that we could strike back against the Negaverse with a united front. Ares was a member of the ruling council, though the other members ruled to take her henshin pen from her. I'm not entirely sure why, though I recall the whispers being that the decision was not taking lightly. Ares was a highly respected founding member of the Blood Moon Court, and voting to take her pen away must not have come easily. Ares must have done something to alarm the other members to have them choose to react in that fashion. Ares was still a Parallel when her pen was taken. She had not corrupted at that point."Themisto leaned back and seemed more confused that ever, doing his best to follow Ptolemaeus' line of thinking. This was years' worth of nonsense they were separating, layer by layer, and neither of the two men were present for any of it. "...I dunno, I always thought that you can't just corrupt yourself, you know, something has to start it. Like, a mechanism. Maybe somebody else started the process and Ares just went Super Saiyan in front of the Blood Moon because... well, that's pretty badass, and maybe she wanted revenge or something? Maybe the Negaverse wanted to break up the Court, so they got to Ares.""It's quite possible. I don't know for certain why she corrupted, or through what mechanism. She appeared to us during a standard meeting, and corrupted on the spot, without any obvious outside influence at the time. It could be that she was poisoned by Chaos, in a way, or let it overtake her in some fashion. I truly don't know the answer to that." Oftentimes, she wished she did, though the knowledge would not change what had happened that night, so many years ago. Knowing the why did not prevent the birth of the Dark Mirror Court, and the corruption of so many. "...The Blood Moon attempted to reform after Ares and Gaia corrupted, and they took Requiem and Leto with them. I did not return. Scylla made mention of Birhan attempting to regroup with everyone who survived, but I don't know much more than that on the subject."
"I can only make assumptions as to the why behind the Dark Mirror Court. My most prominent theory is to recreate the Parallel Court here this universe, since Ares' ability to travel to her original world was lost. I'm sure it was quite lonely to be trapped in a world that isn't yours. But, like I said, I can only theorize. Only Ares knows the real answer."Kallichore tilted her head, finding it quite interesting that Remarque seemed to be leading the Court, and in what direction. Themisto, on the other hand, folded his arms and shot Ptolemaeus a curious look. "Good to know you're not brainwashed. That s**t's messed up. You either get loyalty cuz you're a great leader, or you don't. Brainwashing people... that's what cults do. Then your organization's chock full of crazy folks who don't do any thinking for themselves. Real bad for PR, if you ask me.""I've no doubt Ares' actions were partially in retaliation for the Council voting to take her henshin pen, but since I wasn't part of the Council, I don't know for certain. I do wonder if everything is cyclical..."

Ptolemy brought his steepled hands up and thoughtfully touched the tips of his index fingers to his lips. " Ah...so the Blood Moon Court were White Moon Senshi who came together because they believed in being more aggressive than others of their faction. Now the name 'Blood Moon' makes more sense. And it seems appropriate for a senshi named after a Roman god of war to be bloodthirsty. But not all the parallel senshi joined the Blood Moon Court, right? It doesn't sound like Zirconia did, in any case."He repeated the names Kallichore had mentioned in order to commit them to memory. "So in addition to Ares, the senshi known as Birhan Isat and Albali were both members of the Blood Moon ruling council," he confirmed. "I see. Yes, the Negaverse definitely seems like they know what they're doing when it comes to being organized and using strategy, since working as a team and coordinating makes planning easier. That's smart of the Blood Moon to do the same."It was Ptolemaeus' turn to tilt his head. "You get the sense that the Dark Mirror Court lives by what same principle?" he asked. "...Being organized?" Perhaps he simply hadn't had enough interactions with the rest of the court to notice, but from his standpoint, the Dark Mirror Senshi were less organized than any of the other factions. Their few numbers seemed to keep them scattered, but perhaps it had been different when Ares had been around. "Oh, so both their prince and princess came...interesting," he commented. "Whatever they had been searching for must have been especially important for their royalty to have made the journey, let alone died for it. Not to mention the risk all the parallels took of being trapped in an alternate world." He studied his silver fingernails pressed up against each other. "I believe I met Scylla once. I hope to seek her out and ask her what she knows, as well." Ptolemy closed his eyes. "How tragic for the parallel senshi; losing their royalty and their way home in one fell swoop."Opening his eyes, the Dark Mirror Senshi dropped his hands to clasp them behind his back as he continued pacing. "So even though Ares helped to found the Blood Moon Court and was even on the ruling council, the rest of the council decided to take her pen away. No matter how highly respected she was, she must have felt very betrayed. Especially since her pen and being a senshi must have been pretty much all she had left of her old world. And the fact that she hadn't been corrupted yet when they made the decision...I wonder what she could have possibly done to alarm the others."Themisto spoke up with the suggestion that perhaps the Negaverse got to Ares to break up the Blood Moon members. Ptolemy turned to him brows raised, intrigued. "That's an intriguing notion. It would make sense if they contacted her after she got kicked out from the Blood Moon Court and she was hurting. It'd also explain the fact that she made an alliance with them as queen of the Dark Mirror Court." The Negaverse certainly had no qualms about corrupting White Moon Senshi, so why not attempt to corrupt a parallel one? But then something else Kallichore mentioned caught Ptolemy off-guard. "Wait; she just corrupted in front of everyone at a standard meeting? Was this a meeting of the ruling council, or the entire Blood Moon Court?" He ran his fingers back through his wavy, black locks as more questions flooded him. "And why did she attend a senshi meeting if she couldn't transform anymore? Doesn't that mean she no longer had a place in the Blood Moon Court? Or did she just decide to show up regardless?"Ptolemy looked to Themisto. "Don't corrupted civilians become youma? I would have thought that if she corrupted without her pen, she might have turned into a youma herself, but maybe it ws a different method or type of chaos than the Negaverse uses that made the situation different." He glanced back at the eternal senshi. "Was she really not powered up when she corrupted?"Smiling weakly at Kallichore, he said, "I'm sorry for asking so many questions, but this is really helpful and I sincerely appreciate your patience with me. You said that the Blood Moon Court attempted to reform after Ares and Gaia corrupted, but you only mentioned the former's corruption. What about the Gaia's? Was it the same place and time, or later? And what exactly happened to create the Dark Mirror Senshi?"Clasping and unclasping his hands behind his back, Ptolemy inquired, "Was Ares just instantly royalty as soon as she corrupted? Did she ask others to follow her or just corrupt them by force?" Reaching into a pocket, he removed a mirrorshard to examine it as he spoke. "She threw them into a mirror, right? Was this all at the meeting she corrupted at?
"And why did she only corrupt Requium and Leto at first? Were they just the ones sitting closest to her or something? Were they corrupted against their will, or did they choose to be? Did she corrupt other Blood Moon Court members later, after the meeting? And did she stick with corrupting only those from the Blood Moon, or did she go after other White Moon Senshi, too?"He shook his head at the ground. "I'm sorry, but I still don't think I caught why the Blood Moon Court disbanded after Ares corrupted into a Dark Mirror Senshi. If Ares was just a founding member and not the sole leader of the Blood Moon Court, I don't understand why her corruption would have affected them at all. Did she attempt to convert all the Blood Moon Court members into the Dark Mirror Court so that there weren't enough people to maintain the latter? Did the Blood Moon disband immediately following the meeting at which Ares' corrupted, or sometime later? What relation, exactly, did the Dark Mirror Court's creation have with the disbanding of the Blood Moon Court?"He nodded in acknowledgement when Kallichore mentioned her theory as to why Ares created the Dark Mirror Court. "That could be. I also wonder if she might have made the court to find a way back home using our ability to mirrorwalk. Remarque himself suggested we search for new worlds within Mirrorspace, but Ares might have been hoping to locate her particular one." Brow furrowing, he added, "It's odd to me that Zirconia didn't seem to understand the nature of Mirrorspace and its connection to senshi, but I wonder if more than just Zirconia, the parallels themselves had some sort of connection with mirrors. After all, they did come from a parallel world - a world that could be said to mirror our own.
"Speaking of Zirconia...I don't think I caught how you knew that Wolframite gave Zirconia a starseed if Zirconia was in hiding. Who was she hiding from? Did the Blood Moon Court know of her whereabouts even if Ares and the Dark Mirror Court didn't? Or did Ares and Gaia disappear before Zirconia did?"Exhaling another deep breath, he smirked at the Senshi of the Lost. "Yeah...we're pretty much left with nothing to do but to think for ourselves, though Remarque offers guidance for those who want it. Because of our lack of a cohesive goal or ideal, though, I feel like we're kind of...lost.
"Everyone in the Dark Moon Court, including our royals, have different ideas of loyalty to whom and for what reason. We're not consistant with a unified cause. With Ares out of the picture, though, I know Remarque's trying to change that. It's just a little odd that his perspective seems to be the exact opposite of the one that the court was made with in the first place. It's such a contradiction that he seems to want to help the White Moon, but we're a faction of chaos, so of course they don't trust us and the Negaverse are too cautious to do so, either; alliance or no alliance."He chuckled softly. "Even though we were supposedly 'born' from them, I guess we're nothing like the Blood Moon after all. We're probably more passive than the White Moon when it comes to the Negaverse. There's a very delicate balance we have to sustain; not drawing attention to ourselves lest either of the larger factions see fit to overpower and destroy us." Ptolemy cast Themisto a pointed look. "That's probably why it's best most think us a myth or remain ignorant to our existance completely."Gesturing, he continued, "That's also probably why Remarque hasn't done anything drastic like officially dissolving Ares' old alliance with the Negaverse even though he doesn't trust them. I personally feel like having an alliance with them is useful because we have a way to get closer to them than any White Moon Senshi could and learn more about them. And since we're both chaos, maybe we could learn more about ourselves as well."Lucifer Force ((Hehe, thank you! It was weird trying to make a Ptolemy avi, but I'm glad at least he's recognizable. I love your current one, too! That's Kallichore, right?
And I'm so, so sorry this is so lengthy. XP I tried to color-code too, but I don't know how much it'll help. Trying to wrap this up, I swear.))

Kitomyx WHOO super long! Apologies for the wait! I had to sit and do this in chunks. Kallichore nodded, parsing things as they came through. Ptolemaeus seemed to be grasping the proper history of the Dark Mirror very well. It was a murky thing, deep and twisting. "Zirconia was a part of the Court, yes. She was the cat who tended to us as need be, I assume. She and I didn't have many interactions during my tenure for the most part. I was merely a cadet. Scylla was closer to Ares, as they both served on the Council. Scylla has been an eternal longer than I've been a senshi, and I've been a senshi for a very long time."What events led to the confiscation of Ares' henshin pen remained a mystery, at least to Kallichore. Without being a part of the ruling Council, she had no business being involved in the politics that drove the upper echelons of the court. Her job was to go on missions on behalf of the court and train to become more powerful so that she may serve it better. She longer to become an Eternal and wear wings like those that adorned Scylla and Ares. They were her idols, back then, when she was still bright-eyed and hopeful for a violent future. "Yes, I believe it is that tragedy, combined with the loss of her henshin pen and the profound loneliness that Ares must've felt, that caused her to become one with Chaos. But... yes, she corrupted in front of us. I was an eyewitness, as was Scylla. Nemesis was there, I believe, as well. I haven't seen her since then, I don't think. It was a meeting of the entire Court. Ares called us all together. She must've gotten her pen back at some point, since she was transformed when I saw her. What happened between her and the Council... Scylla would very likely know. Gaia corrupted without Ares' help, it seemed. She simply said she stood by Ares, and became a corrupt before our eyes. That was the last time I saw her, as well. What mechanism was used to corrupt Gaia, I am not sure. Ares didn't touch her, she simply changed, just as Ares herself did."Themisto seemed queasy by the idea that people could become youma. He had an inkling that evil officers of the Negaverse could become those bloodthirsty beasts, but he didn't think much more on it than that. The thought gave him gooseflesh. "Maybe she was strong enough not to become a monster, you know? She sounded hella powerful. If she just POOFS and becomes royalty AND starts forcibly corrupting people? That's mega powerful. She sounds... real scary."Kallichore nodded to him, stoic. "She was incredibly powerful. To create the first Dark Mirrors, aside from Gaia, Ares summoned a mirror and threw both Leto and Requiem through it. They emerged the other side as Dark Mirrors. She called them baptisms. She asked that we submit and become her new Court under her rule. Once she corrupted, she assumed the form of Princess Ares. It was instantaneous. I don't mind the questions. It's rare that a Dark Mirror is interested in the Court's history.""We started to escape after Ares corrupted, though it seemed to me that the corruptions were forced. Whether or not that's true... you have to take that with a grain of salt. I was barely a Super then, and running for my life from an oppressive, choking force. If we did not submit, I'm certain we would have suffocated from Ares' smoke. Requiem and Leto might have been within arms' reach, or they might have been the first few Ares laid eyes on. I'm not sure how or why they were chosen in particular. I would not be shocked to find if Ares hunted down other members of the Blood Moon for corruption. She came after me for that reason, but I managed to escape a second time."
"From what I understand, Birhan Isat and Scylla, and perhaps a few others, attempted to regroup after Ares' corruption. I was contacted, but chose not to go back. I suspect not many were willing to gather again after what happened, but I'm not certain. Scylla would know more than I on the subject." She looked down at her hands, turning them over, examining nothing in particular. Something Ptolemaeus said about Zirconia not understanding parts of Mirrorspace made her relive memories and theories she hadn't touched in ages. In the meantime, Themisto shifted in his seat and shrugged. "Maybe Dark Mirrors weren't a thing in Parallel-land, or Dark Mirrors are just different enough that, you know, Zirconia might not have known what she was lookin' at. Like... you think you're gettin' a dish full'a spaghetti but you find out it's actually chow mein. Kinda looks the same, but it's actually real different? I dunno, but I'm with Ptolemy - if you came through a mirror into this world, you'd think they'd know more about 'em.""That's my theory - that the Parallels had a connection to mirrors, but not one as strong as a Dark Mirror's. However, it's just a theory. As to how I knew Zirconia had a starseed from Wolframite? She told me. I stumbled upon her by accident. I think, perhaps, a Parallel's starseed is somehow fundamentally different than a Dark Mirror's, which might explain Zirconia's unfamiliarity with them. The timeline is very confusing, and I apologize for that.
I assume Zirconia was hiding from Ares and the other Dark Mirrors. I imagine they wished to have a cat of their own, but I'm not too certain. Zirconia's past with Ares and the Parallels was a very touchy subject. She seemed to me to be quite heartbroken over their deaths or corruption. When I found Zirconia and she told me of Wolframite giving her the starseed, it was years after Ares' corruption. Whether the Blood Moon even existed at that time, I do not know. Ares and Gaia disappeared before Zirconia did."In a way, Themisto felt a little camaraderie and sympathy for Ptolemaeus. Being the Senshi of the Lost, the irony was fairly apparent. "...just survivin', like us, I guess. Weird that you guys are Chaos, which makes you sound bad from the get-go. Still, the Negaverse is bad news bears and even though you guys are both Chaos, you probably shouldn't hang out with them much. They seem a lot worse, to me, anyway."Kallichore sighed quietly and smiled to Themisto, though very faintly. "...they might be Chaos, and we may be Order, but there is still so much gray in between."
