Aedre couldn't help himself. A soft, gentle smile curled the corners of his lips. "You really think so? Thank you ... I don't. Normally show them to anyone. I actually think this might have been the first time ... " Aedre slid the binder back towards himself and fingered the edges lightly. "If you ever decide to make a career out of gardening, if you ever choose to expand it in to landscape, maybe one day we'll work on a project together."

--

Quentin looked genuinely surprised, "wow really? But they are so good. You'll make lots of money doing that." He smiled to the other, cheeks flushing a bit. "I think that would be pretty awesome... We'd make beautiful houses." He agreed, sliding the veggie bag to aedre. "Would you like more?" He asked.

---

Aedre perked a little, staring at the plastic bagging and stealthily reached for the bag, despite the bapho's eyes directly on him. Food just tasted better when you stole it. It was scientifically proven.

The imp slid a cherry tomato from the bag and popped it in to his mouth, savouring the flavor for a quiet moment before giving a soft, content sigh. Then he spoke up again. "I would love to see your garden sometime, if you'd allow me to?"

---

Quentin smiled as the other are another veggie. It made him happy to see someone enjoy his produce.. Not to mention have interest in it. He placed his hands on his lap, feeling flattered and a bit shy. "I would love for you to see it. I've never actually had anyone interested in my garden..." He explained, looking down. "I'm surprised you want to see it.... I could show you after school?" He offered.

--

"Why not now?" he offered, glancing up at the clock. "There's so many kids at the school that I'm sure they wouldn't notice if we slipped off back to the dorms to take a peep. Unless, ahh -- !" Aedre paused, pressing a hand to his lips gingerly. "Ahm, do you live in the dorms? I can't remember if we discussed that?"

Hobo Pixi: Quentin looked surprised, "really? You wanna see right now?" He asked, collecting his belongings. "Yeah... I live here.. Turns out no one wants to adopt an orphan teenager." He told him, smiling sadly. He'd been alone since the day he was summoned from his stone.

"My garden is outside my dorm window... It's small but it works." He admitted.

--

A twinge of a sad smile tugged at the corners of his lips. He knew that feeling all too well, and wanted to comfort his new friend. Instead, Aedre gathered up his own belongings and shoved them as gently as he could in to his satchel.

"I'd be delighted to see. Small or not, I'm sure a lot of love and time went in to it. In that respect alone, I am sure it is breath taking. Shall we?" Aedre gestured towards the exit of the cafeteria, a small ways from their isolated table.

"After you!"

--

Quentin smiled, a slight blush darkening his face. He felt relaxed and even a little excited from the other's interest in his work. He slung his bag over his shoulder and began to lead the other to his garden. "You know... I could help you grow a little garden too... I-If you'd like." He mentioned; it was his own little way of mentioning that he'd like to spend more time with him. As they reached the small garden, Quentin rubbed his neck shyly. "This is it... this is where those veggies came from." He explained, crouching down to pull out a couple weeks... pouting at them. "These weeds never rest... I swear." He quietly mused to himself.

--

Ember: "I'm not much of a landscaper, or much of a veggie grower, to be perfectly honest with you." Aedre couldn't help but to chuckle softly. It hadn't taken the boys too long to get to Quentin's dorm room, which pleased Aedre. It felt a lot closer than his own dorm room. The dorm area that Quentin was staying in seemed quite cute compared to Aedre kept his own space. Aedre would wager the word most people would use to describe Aedre's taste in design aesthetic in his own surroundings was "warm".

When Quentin lead him out to the small garden just outside of his room, Aedre kneeled down, tucking his fluffy tail around his feet to keep them from suffocating the plants. "How cute!" Next thing he knew, Quentin was crouching right now to him, tugging at some rogue weeds. A gardener's work was never finished. Always a new task to complete.

"Here, let me help you," Aedre offered, reaching out with his claws to pull on a few larger weeds so his claws didn't get in the way and damage something more important than an invader.

--

Quentin was happy that someone other than him thought his little garden was cute. He smiled to Aedre, "You think so too?" He then watched as the imp pulled some of the weeds for him, flushing a bit and smiling. "Thank you, Aedre." He picked the weeds with the help of the other male, pleased when it was done. The young Baphomet reached to one of his flowers that had bloomed, shyly taking one from the stock and sliding it behind Aedre's ear. He'd seen someone do that before in a movie... maybe Aedre would like it too? ....But... What if he didn't?!

Quentin bit at his bottom lip nervously, "I-I just thought you might want a flower." He forced out, trying to come up with why he would do that. He felt pretty stupid all of the sudden for following something that had happened in a movie.

---

Aedre paused his movements as he felt something slip in to his hair, just behind his ear. Slowly, Aedre straightened up, no longer bent over the garden, reaching up gently with his large, fluffy hand to gingerly touch whatever it had been. Aedre had been so focused he barely noticed that Quentin had plucked a flower for him. But he could feel it.

Aedre's face grew a deep, tomato red. He didn't know why his face felt so hot, or why he was suddenly at such a loss for words, but the boy just didn't know what to say. He was so ... touched? Nobody had given him a gift before. He would have to enchant the flower later to guarantee its preservation.

"Thank you ... that ... that wasn't needed, but I appreciate it. Thank you."

---

He wasn't mad or weirded out? Movies do work! Quentin smiled shyly to the other, "I wanted you to have it. These are one of my favorite flowers." He explained as he sat down, not even noticing the blush on Aedre's face. "I think... maybe... one day when we are older.. It'd be nice to work with you. You're ideas with my landscaping would be perfect together." He smiled a bit more, happy that he met the imp and even more happy that he was interested in what he liked... It made him want to be around him more often. Maybe he'd make him something special to show how much he appreciated him!
