Human Form:
As a human, Nyx usually wears a modest flowy dress that resembles mori style clothing.
She prefers wearing these dresses as a human on land because Nyx does not have this luxury as a pirate on her ship.
They are also comfortable to wear for her since the material is soft and flowy, Making it good for warm weather. T
his style is not commonly used by pirates which helps her since it will be hard for others to find out her identity.
Nyx also has pinkish hair with intelligent bright blue eyes. Despite going out a lot, she doesn't tan.
Also, when Nyx is human, her legs are covered in pink scales that resemble the color and pattern of her tail (Much like the picture). Therefore, she will always wear leggings or stockings under her dress to cover her legs.
Pirate:
As a pirate Nyx is still human. She wears a Black hat with a skull and white feather on it along with an ornate black coat to match. She also wears pants of some sort to hide her scales. she also has a belt with a place to keep her cutlass in case she needs to defend herself.
Mermaid Form:
As a Mermaid, Nyx has pink hair and her bright blue eyes like before. Her legs are now a light pink tail and she has webbed ears.
Since she serves the mermaid throne she has done well for herself & has been awarded with ornate accessories by the royals themselves.
While she hates to boast the title, the clothing is quite comfortable for her. She also carries an ornate trident to defend herself.

Name: Nyx- Means "night" in Greek. This was the name of the Greek goddess of the night, the daughter of Khaos and the wife of Erebos. Also derived from Nix- Water spirits who usually appear in human form in Norse/Germanic myth.
Sereia is the Portuguese word for Mermaid.
The best translation would be "Night Mermaid"

☠ Harsh thunderstorms - Lightning and rain can ruin the ship. Rainy days in general also bring her down a bit since she can't go swimming or sailing. She sees rainy days as another day wasted before she can find her dad.

Weaknesses: Nyx can be impatient sometimes due to her role as once being a Leader of her mother's old crew. Since Nyx prefers to be organized she is Not spontaneous & better when prepared. Her extrovertedness can sometimes make her attention-seeking, and at times a bit unreasonable
Strengths: Nyx is very brave and Daring, allowing her to take on almost anything that comes her way. She also has no trouble at all talking infront people. She has also been exposed to many cultures of humans and mermaids during her Travels- Making her well-rounded. Nyx is also experienced in using Tridents and Swords (cutlasses).

History:
Nyx's mother was very poor until she found work on a boat filled with pirates. She would clean the boat and help cook food for them. While working on the boat one day, sirens had driven some of the pirates mad- including the captain himself. Since Nyx's mother was not affected by the sirens she was able to get the boat back to safety and eventually became captain herself.
With a new crew, Nyx's mother chose not to use her power for evil. Instead, she went and stole loot from the rich to give to the poor. However, since stealing in any form was illegal her mother and the crew were trying to flee from the authorities when their boat was blown to smithereens.
Nyx's mother nearly died, but was saved by Nyx's father who happened to be a mermaid. After the rescue, Nyx's parents would meet in a secret cave behind a waterfall. One day, Nyx parents confessed their love to each other.
After that, Nyx was born as a Half-Mermaid. Nyx spent most of her childhood on the newly built ship. However, a mermaid and a pirate was forbidden in most underwater kingdoms. Nyx's mother was at the mercy of the authorities again and was forced to promise them that Nyx would never step foot into their world since she was an anomaly.
Also, most mermaids were enemies with pirates. since Nyx was being raised by her mother into a live of a Pirate, they did not want this idea of piracy to spread to other mermaids.
When Nyx was 18, Her mother suffered from a dire sickness. Unable to be on the ship, the crew attempted to sail her back to land while trying to do what they could to cure her. Once they got to land, it was too late. Nyx's mother was dead. And her father's whereabouts were unknown. Depressed, Nyx jumps into the sea- hoping to become nothing more than ocean foam.
To her surprise, her legs become a tail for the first time- Allowing her mermaid lineage to resurface. Since then, Her legs have pink scales as a symbol of her identity. She knew she had to reunite with her father to make her family whole again.
A year later, Nyx is the new Captain but is without a crew. She hopes to find people who can help her so that she may reunite with her Dad.
During several attempts to find her dad, Nyx has done numerous quests for several Ocean kingdoms. Unknowing of her true identity as a half mermaid, the authorities of these kingdoms deemed her a hero for helping them out. The main underwater city Nyx goes to is a friendly place off the coast of France. There, she received an ornate trident with a fleur de lis design on it.
Nyx also keeps her ship docked in a cave near this underwater city. In fact, the same cave where her parents fell in love.
