June 7, 2012: In a world of heroes and villains it can often be difficult to figure out who is your friend and who is your foe. These difficulties increase when a hero from days gone by need your help stopping himself. Or at least something similar to himself. Rebellion has called upon Captain Cosmo II for help in dealing with what appears to be a clone of himself but as is expected, things are never quite that simple.

The message was cryptic to say the least. Someone from the HSA needed to meet an individual here and truth be told, he was free at the moment given the lack of an actual content to produce with the local news station and his willingness to actually report the same thing for that matter. Every once in a while, the same story about the usual robbers and super powered individuals became the same record placed on the spinner: boring and repetitive. Maybe that's why he casually brought his six-foot-two frame inside the bar itself, Ferek casually sitting at the bar itself to order a dark Whiskey while awaiting this informant to arrive.

Dean Frost
"Ferek?" A voice inquired as a man sat down beside the whiskey drinker. "I am assuming you're here because I asked the Hero Society for help?" The appeared to be none other than Dean Frost, a journalist who published a great deal of articles about superheroes and recently the Hero Society. He seemed a little stiff but it was probably due to the same reason he had asked the Society for aid. What he wanted done, he would not do alone. Not with his particular weakness. Dean did not order a drink, nor did he address the bartender in any way.

He casually downed the Whiskey he was giving, enjoying the robust taste that only came from sitting within a barrel for quite some time, when he heard someone make mention of his name. He turned to greet the figure before him, extending out a hand to shake.
"That would be correct. Dean Frost, I assume?"
He really didn't have to assume. Ferek majored under Multimedia, which included Journalism. While he was most notably known for his work behind the scenes in various articles pertaining to Heroes, it did not take much and a degree in the field to do simple research to see the face behind it all plastered among social media and other news outlets. He noted the male chose not to drink, even if were but a small glass like Ferek had ordered. He probably just wanted to get down to business, so he would of course oblige.
"Shall we head somewhere a bit more disclosed to discuss this matter?"
He was overly paranoid like anyone could be if they had borderline dangerous abilities the SIA wanted to watch and or suppress. It's one of the reasons why he chose not to go open with a facial identity to a costume like most chose. Dean most likely already knew given his extent into their work, which was fine because even if exposed, Ferek truly had nothing to hide. Still, nobody wanted a repeat of what occurred to Aqua Surge. He thanked the bartender, leaving a tip before presumably following Dean off wherever it was they needed to go to talk a bit more privately.

Dean Frost
The man's face contorted slightly in thought before looking down at his watch and then back to Ferek. He had to careful about his timing now. The sun was down and Dean Frost was hardly better than a mortal man when the sun was down. Yet with Ferek there was no reason to fear a direct attack. Dean would have no reason not to go. So he did. "Alright come with me," He finally replied before leading Ferek out of the bar and a little bit down the street to a motel room he had gotten. "I would bring you back to my house but the man who is after me is there now. I'm going to need you to bare with me a little on this because it will be hard to believe." He said once they were inside the motel and he had shut the door behind them. He knew it would be a little harder to believe than most other hero stories. Clones. Why was it always clones?

Something had certainly seemed off. He could not place it on if it was just the way his facial features twisted with a foreboding thought or if already, Ferek's mental abilities were at play. If for the latter, certainly not as he had to contend with several others and their weird thoughts. Some were lusty and some were angsty, but this was a bar, so that was ever hardly surprising, so he had to go off that it was just the former of his thoughts that told him whatever was going to come next would warrant a strong drink.
"Gee, taking a fella out to house already? Could give him a meal and a ride home before all that happens." he jested with male before him as a means to possibly lighten what already felt like a tense situation. He downed the rest of the liquor before him as he followed the other outside. "That's okay. There's been a lot of bizarre stories here and there, so just lay it out to me as best as you can. I'll promise not to label you as a nutcase."

Dean Frost
The man did not laugh. In fact he didn't seem to understand Ferek's joke at all. Eventually though he shrugged it off and began to explain. "A while back I was captured," He began, looking around to ensure no one eavesdropped on their conversation. He was a little on edge but otherwise fine. "I don't know what they did before I escaped but a man who looks and sounds exactly like me has been out for my blood since. He attacks my home at nights and hides during the day when I have the power to fight him. Every night for the last week I have been attacked. I need you to stop him."

This sounded a bit weird the second Dean talked more and more. At some point, he was attacked and captured. The gist was that at the end of it all, there was somebody who looked exactly like him that held a personal grudge out for him. All the while, the Psionic male weighed in on what this could all possibly mean. It could be the fact that someone indeed had cloned him successfully. Ferek had heard ideas like that before and no, it was nothing like the fact that Tupac may be out roaming the Caribbeans as they speak. There were supers these days who seemingly bore very familiar traits that should have been unique to heroes and villains bore back from the Glory Days themselves. Not even Ferek was much of a similar concept to his Grandfather, after all. He wasn't exactly willing to write Frost off as demented and batshit crazy like some of the most brilliant minds of the times went out.
"So, this doppelganger of yours has the same powerset, I'm assuming," he stated at last. "Except for the fact he's strong at night while you're strong at day and so he runs away from you as a result. I should probably be able to help you out, but I'm also going to need your help on something as well."
That's right. Ferek might have been an investigative journalist, but sometimes he himself needed clues. Frost was a Journalist himself and knew Chicago more than the Brazilian American did. Perhaps picking the male's possibly not insane mind could help him in the long run when it came to investigating the matter about his grandfather's death up to how and why it occurred.

Dean Frost
"I can tell you where he will be or we can set a trap. As I informed you he has attacked me every night this week. Always in a different time or place but always at night. Stay here long enough and he'll come. Still, I'm curious, what is it you meed my help with?" Dean spoke calmly, oddly calm still. It was the same odd calm he had spoken with this entire time. He held some irregular idiosyncrasies and seemed very mechanical in the way he moved, operated, thought, and acted. He did things in the most efficient and simple way all the time. He also looked oddly well kept for a slob, which Ferek might notice if he let his journalistic skill take over. Dean presented himself in clothes that boasts a casual and relaxed appearance but his face was clean shaven and his hair well kept. It almost looked as if it had been intentionally disheveled.

Ferek let some of the thoughts play out well in his head. He may need to know what it was that this "Dean" before him did in terms of capabilities in order to make a successful plan.
"I sure hope you and your clone don't share ESP," he jested. "But maybe knowing more about what you can do somewhere more disclosed can also help as you look like you're very well tailored for someone lurking out from his usual home. You have anywhere you roost at from full prying eyes?"
As for his request, Ferek gave it thought to thoroughly weigh in his mind what it was he needed exactly. "There's been an old investigation that's been puzzling me for the longest. As I'm not from around here fully, I figured someone more seasoned like yourself may know a bit more about the matter regarding how the first Captain Cosmo as Chicago was his town. A few of the museums and archives I come across seemingly botch out a few parts."
Even most of the family records were gone. The only way Ferek knew was because, well his powers were adversely similar to the first and clearly, his mother let on though even then she also kept her reserves about the subject. Dean probably didn't know much as Olympia did on the matter, but he figured from one non-biased figure to another, he may be able to at least find a lead.

Dean Frost
"Captain Cosmo?" Dean repeated the name and his face froze in it's expression as he searched his memory. The name rattled like all the other memories. He could remember if he took more time. "I can tell you about him but I'll need some time. My memory isn't what it used to be and the drinking isn't helping. Deal with my problem and I'll help you with yours." Dean said calmly before moving onto the next topic. He checked once again to ensure they had gone somewhere they would not be eavesdropped on and when he was satisfied with their security he spoke. "On the basis of powers, he'll be incredibly durable and strong. Fast too so don't let him get the drop on you. There isn't much Olympia could do to you physically that he couldn't." There was just more he was willing to do to you. He had discretely dismissed the topic of his home.
