A posting was listed across Belrea, and many of the journalists made sure to showcase it in their papers. It was the buzz of the town, the great gathering in the largest of the Academy amphitheaters. What made it so interesting was not that it was an announcement of a new discovery, but instead it was an announcement in regard to the safety of their land. Such an ominous topic was unheard of.
So, in a large space with seating that felt like it could house a city, the crowd moved in to find seat and standing room wherever they could. It would be overwhelming, had the space not been open to the sky above. A cool breeze flowed in, leaving the voices of discussion to pass through the crowd as they waited for the leaders of the Academy to arrive.
No one knew exactly what was going on, but the crowd didn't seem too concerned at the moment. Belrea was a place of careful discussion and contemplation, and surely the leaders before them would speak up and share their thoughts in a civil, intellectual manner. The crowd was here to witness such happenings, and learn what they could do to support their leaders and protect their home.
For now, all they could do was find seats or space and wait for the lecture-like meeting to begin.

Agnartaki Post: 1 Location: Around in the Crowd --------------------
People disappearing? Nobody knowing why?
The Vermon Sable Press was on top of it, fighting to get the story amid the many papers also fighting to get the story. It was a vicious rat-race, and it was a part and parcel of finding the truth.
Agnartaki was only too happy to participate.
Eyes bright and gleaming, stance perky and energetic, she waited with paper and pen in hand for the lecture to start. She could barely sit still with the excitement of one of her first big stories, dancing from foot to foot as others found their seating.
She was going to ask so many questions. She was going to get so much good copy out of this. And - oh, there was an idea - she was going to find someone to interview. Yes! A personal story was always the best! That would capture hearts and minds and really drive things home. Perfect!
She looked out over the milling crowd, seeking out anybody who looked like they had someone among the missing, someone who might be able to give a good story...
Ever since Howth had been tentatively tapped to potentially become a member of the Academy, he had tried to keep up with the world outside of his room. He had succeeded to a certain degree, learning enough about this gathering to know he had to be here, but he still wasn't sure what all of this was about. Even when he had requested information from his Academy contacts, he had been politely but firmly turned away.
He had only been wandering around the busy part of town for about twenty minutes so far, but Howth already longed to be back home, away from all of this. He wasn't a total shut-in yet, but he was certainly headed that way.
A sullen indifference rolled over his features as he dropped into a seat, watching people gossip and mill about.

Yokka- Post 1
Yokka walked into the amphitheater with the usual awed expression. She could imagine herself being there as a student one day, able to make use of the studies and minds stored within. ..It may have been nothing more than a pipe dream, but her imagination was big enough for it.
Her whole family had come as well, but had already taken their seats. Yokka kept on walking the theater though, taking in the sights. After all, it wasn't often that she got to come by the academy, and nothing was happening yet. Whatever was going on, she would sit when the announcement started.
She walked in, Pai nervously skittered from her shoulder to the large carrier pouch she had for him. She patted the pouch before walking to sit. Waiting to see what would happen.

Neryssa Post 1
Belrea was such a wonder, when the news reached the Matori she just had to see what all the hub-bub was all about. The meeting area was a large one, but it was filling fast. Standing onto her tip toes, Neryssa looked out over the heads of those around her. They all seemed to be waiting for someone to come forward at the front. She was only pulled back to reality as someone bumped into her. Giving a small smile and ducking her head, Neryssa moved off to one side, a blue spot among the browns and tan tones of the those around her. At the moment she looked to see if her sister was anywhere in the crowd, but she didn't see her yet.
"So many people in once place, almost reminds me of a festival back home. Don't you think so, Lygs?" Neryssa asked the Critter on her back, He was never too far from her, her eyes where she couldn't look. "I wonder if Nadiya is here. Something like this she could make a ballad out of." The excitement was getting her that her feet kinda pranced in one place making her bounce a little. Couldn't these things hurry up? The suspense was killing her.
It was worrisome to see all the posters of the missing people. It was turning out to be a very bad idea to have found Tendaji and opened up their borders to them. Surely this would never have happened… Ila filled in after her family, happy that they were safe. She took her seat at the end of their line next to an empty seat. There was a large crowd here, it look like almost all of Belrea had gathered here and then some. She could clearly see the non Belreans sitting in the crowd. Ila sunk a bit in her seat, she wanted to know what was going on.

Karothdra 1
Karothdra and Tyiva had not had much time to travel around Belrea before the gathering was called. Still it had been hard to miss all of the missing people posters that decorated the city. Karothdra worried this was happening back home. What if this was also going on in Tendaji? She’d avoided cities as best as she could, even more so as they got closer to Oba. If she asked for any news now they would know where she was.
“I am worried about home.” Karothdra said as she glanced at Tyiva. But she knew home was not an option.
Agnartaki Post: 1 Location: being nosy! --------------------
OH LOOK, A FOREIGNER! One with Blue skin and fins - one of those water folks from Tendaji! Agnartaki couldn't restrain herself - she had to approach.
"Hello, hello!" the young Geian called out, waving vigorously with one hand, clutching her notebook in another, "Hello! I'm a reporter, do you mind if I ask you a few questions?" She didn't give the water woman any time to answer that. Green eyes bright and shining, she moved onwards to:
"What were you saying just now, to the beastie you have there? What is it? Is it dangerous?" it sure looked like it, with bright coloring and a stinger and was that a horn??? fabulous. "Where are you from? On Tendaji, that is, where are you from on Tendaji... and, oh!" it occurred to her that she might want to give her new victim scoop time to answer, but she just had to fit in one last meaty question.
"What are your thoughts on the current situation with the missing persons?"
She smiled eagerly, almost hungrily. Give me something. Throw me a scoop. she thought, I'll take anything.

Nadiya - 1
Spinning on her heels Nadiya glanced about the growing crowd. There was just so much energy in the air! Admittedly it wasn't the best form of energy that one may see at a concert or some happier event, but it still was buzzing with action. Nadiya pursed her lips as she tried to eavesdrop on some of the worried whispers in the crowd. Something definitely is up. Was this some strange Belrea thing? Or could it be happening all over? The thought made her purse her lips in a slight moment of concern before the sight of her sister made the Matori's eyes light up.
Of course when she raised a hand to wave and come over the Matori noticed that another woman was speaking with her sister. Curious as usual the Matori slyly moved through the crowd to get closer so that she could listen in without announcing her presence right away.

Tyiva - 1
Not being home on Chibale during this time of year bothered Tyiva. While she hadn't acknowledged the situation to her companion the Alkidike had been more distracted than usual. Was the ceremony going well? Would she be forgiven for missing out? How did one even calculate the time of travel into such plans? It had been in her excitement to visit a new continent with Karo that Tyiva hadn't even paused to think about how long the visit would be. Yet Danika had told her that she was fine to travel and that she would be safe at home without her....the thought caused the Alkidike's antenna to drop before Karo's voice brought her back to the present.
"As am I." Tyiva responded truthfully before reaching over to give her companion's hand a comforting squeeze before letting go so that she could cross her arms thoughtfully, "Perhaps it is only occurring here?" Her black gaze surveyed the growing crowds, "For now we best be vigilant about ourselves and then work towards home after we take care of our journey here." She could only pray that Aisha keep her sisters safe while she was away. Her gut did knot though - what if her own missing presence was a cause of concern to her sisters?

Raeka 1
Raeka sat in the seats near the front of the hall, where most of the Academy members milled about. It was a row reserved and mostly full, but around her was spaces from the 'common' folk. She had heard a few whispers from the other members around her age, the ones that felt they were far superior than those who weren't invited. Raeka didn't really get it, and didn't quite appreciate it. Frowning a bit at the group who actually stood away from the seats, she leaned back and pulled a hand through her curly hair. It stood out against her skin and made her shine like a beacon, but she didn't care. She deserved her place, and didn't let anyone tell her otherwise.
Letting out a huff as they waited for the leaders, she spun around in her seat so she could look back, examining all of the people who attended. It was daunting, but she swore she could see a few who didn't match the rest. Was there a splash of blue in the crowd? Oh how fascinating!
Seth had made the long travels alone, his family sticking back to work more on their smithy than on the concerns. They stressed his need to learn everything there was about the situation, and make sure he shared with them immediately once he was done. Sethaeus wasn't really excited, but he accepted it for what it was. Pushing through the crowd and trying to ignore how overwhelming it was, he found a seat near another Geian boy, one who looked just as out of sorts as he. Glancing toward Howth before providing a quick nod, he looked about with clear eyes and leaned further in his seat.
"Bit of a show, ain't it?" He remarked softly, speaking of the people, of the town, and of this gathering. Being from one the quieter settlements, he never imagined he would witness such an overwhelming gathering.

Howth post two
When Seth took a seat nearby, Howth straightened from his disaffected slump, trying to look like he belonged and was on the ball and all that good stuff. He nodded back when the Geian nodded at him.
"It is... um... something. I don't live very far away from here, but in my experience people don't usually gather with such purpose." His experience was admittedly rather limited, but this whole spectacle was making him antsy.
The blacksmith was relaxed, and didn't seem to notice much of the actions of Howth. It was in his nature, to keep his hands busy and his head down. As the other boy spoke, he let out a soft sigh and nodded.
"I live far enough...and don't come to the city. The population alone is enough, but to be in this room crammed together..."
He felt hotter than when he was over his coals, and he somewhat regretted it. But he had to be here, for his family.
Glancing again at the boy, he noticed the other was getting antsy as well. At least he wasn't alone in his discomfort.
"My family works, so they could only send me to get the information..."
