Alassiel was on her way back home, Rygha needed the healing and her on the road healing wasn’t doing him any good. Even with the help of an Alk on the road, he needed to see someone. But once they’d reached Oba, he still didn’t seem to be doing well. There was no choice, they had to stop and find a healer before he did actually collapse on their way back to Matori.
The shifter knocked on the door, “Hello?” After asking around this seemed to be the closes healer that would be able to help her snaptrotter with his injuries.

It was a simple Inn that Issaly had gone to. Trying to find work before he was back on the road. He had gotten a few people walk up to him. Then the knock on the door, the Inn Keeper rushed to him as he had just finished up with a minor injury. He stood quickly before rushing out to tend to the Snapptrotter. He stopped in the doorway. "What happened?!?" he asked with high pitched sort of squeak.

“Are you the healer?” Well he could be anybody so Alassiel wanetd to ask before she got started. “Ambushed by Suhurama.” Was the simple answer she gave after the confirmation. “Wounds aren’t healing very well.” Hopefully he knew what he was doing, she didn’t know if a Shifter would know about the mounts form Matori but she didn’t have a choice at this point. The wounds were bruising the skin purple around them and they leaked through the bandages. She knew it was an infection, but she had been unable to fix it.

Issaly was calm as he moved to look at the leg. "Hey, big guy...can you let me see this a bit more?" his tone was soft. "Awww, this isn't that bad. You can recover with a little salve and some rest..." he looked to the female. "Hi! I'm Issaly a healer, I own a Snaptrotter. He's resting in the back. Do you mind if I lead him around to the back. It'll be easier for him to get off this leg." he explained as he motioned for the two to follow him. "I have more supplies in the back."

Rygha stuck his nose right into the shifters chest and took one long inhale. Alassiel watched him and rolled her eyes.
“Yea you can take him to the back.” They’d made it this far so getting to the back would be no problem. “I’m Alassiel and this is Rygha.” The shifter whistled low and pointed to Issaly to let him know to follow the other shifter. “He should give you any trouble. Thank you.” She was always curious to meet other snaptrotters, well so was Rygha, so this was going to be a bit more fun for both of them and keep Rygha busy.

Issaly chuckled as he walked them to the back. With a hum, Saalin came up to them. Issaly smiled up at the large beast. Abysio picked his head up from where they all were currently nested. Ullyee flicked her tail, thus the bigger beast decided to lay his head back down. Therus hidden among the hay as Issaly led them to a good spot. Saalin moving around the newcomer. "The big guy here is Saalin...Sal, be nice. Rygha is hurt." he motioned for the injured beast to lay down then set about cleaning the wound. "This is going to feel really weird, sorry big guy." he said to the beast as he applied the salve...

Rygha did as he was told, albeit he was a lazy beast and would much rather sit down then have to walk around when it was painful for him to. Alassiel for her part, took a seat in front and let Rygha drop his head on to her lap as Issaly went to work. The Shifter looked around to all the animals and was impressed at how many there were.
“Are all of these yours?”

Issaly looked up absently. Then around to his pack with a blink. "Uh...yeah. I sorta just...rescued all of them..." he smiled softly. "They became family." He finished cleaning and wrapping the wound with the proper ointment. Giving the female a small jar. "Here you are. Rub this on the wound at least three times a day, making sure to change the wrap at least every other day or whenever it gets dirty." He brushed off his pants as he reclined back. Chuckling as Saalin laid his head on his lap. "They were being used in fighting rings. You can see the faint scars on Saalin here...Ullyee has them too, but her's are more on her legs."

Alassiel took the small jar and nodded as he gave her instructions. She bagged everything and leaned down to give Rhyga a quick kiss on the snout.
“That sounds terrible,” Ally could definitely see the scars on the familiars. As a rider she took great offense to such a thing. “At least now they have a good home. Have you been rescuing familiars for a long time?” He looked well equipped and trained to take on such a task, perhaps it as in his family to rescue the familiars that were abused. Sometimes Alassiel wished Ziel would take much more of an interest in familiars.

Issaly shook his head with a chuckle. "Not really, it just worked out that way." he hummed as he reclined back into the curled body of the Snaptrotter that was hunkered down behind him. "I would love to further that cause. Underground rings like that are just nightmarish." He shuddered a little at the thought.

“Are there a lot of these underground rings?” Alassiel hated the idea of thinking that there were some people out there using familiars for their sick game. Now that she was aware however she wouldn’t idly stand by, well she didn’t know what she could do but if she ever caught a whiff of such a ring anywhere near her she would do everything in her power to dismantle them. She wondered if Z’ran had ever heard of them, he was a merchant and had lots of connections. These thins had to start with merchants selling familiars for that purpose.

Issaly hummed. "To be honest...wherever there's major trade I'm assuming there's a ring." he sighed. "I can tell you for sure there's one in Jauhar. In the settlement I grew up in. I'm sure there's a big one here as well. Just...can't find it."

"Is it a Shifter run ring?" Alassiel wasn't surprised if there was one in Oba to be completely honest. They had enslaved the Matori after all and familiars couldn't fight back really. Alassiel sighed a bit frustrated, Oba would never learn, would they? Shifters though... They weren't like that. She really hoped it wasn't Shifters otherwise she was going to have to go over there herself and do something about it.
“Oba's will be very well hidden...” No surprise there, Obans didn't want to get caught twice now did they?

Issaly paused to think on what he saw. "Sadly, it was shifter run. There were three that I can recall being the ones I dealt with to get these two. Abysio was abandoned in a old fighting arena." he said. As if saying his name summoned him, Abysio did get up to nudge his way into Issaly's lap. Saalin huffed to go to Ullyee.

Alassiel sighed softly, that was not the answer she had been looking for. Perhaps it was inevitable that at some point someone's greed got the better of them and they created such rings. Ally had hoped the Shifters would have been better than that.
“Thank you for all your help,” Alassiel gently pat Rhyga. “I kinda pushed it a little too far with all the fighting. I'll know better for next time, you I don't think I'll be tackling that beast for a while.” She had the school to run and no wish to be out fighting anymore.
