Brief Description of Appearance OR Customs Form: Paper Doll Profile: Shades are not known for having relations with
other races, but when they do, its the talk of the swamp. Goblins, on the other hand, are quick to romance a partner, and go quite quickly with their relationships, going so far as to half imbue a stone to show their love. It was this sort of relationship that lead to Advik's birth. A shade, feeling out of place and far from home, got caught up in a smooth goblin's romantic advances, and before they knew it, they were imbuing a stone with the romantic goblin. When the infant came, the shade was shocked and scared. Their family would never accept this, a shade with some sort of half breed child, and in fear the shade abandoned the heartbroken goblin, going back to their home in the swamp, swearing to never speak of this again. The goblin, broken hearted and broken spirit, could not bare to keep the child around. It reminded them too much for their lost love, and so Advik was fated to start out life as an orphan. Their parents did leave them with two matching pendants, that the tail and the shade wear everywhere.
Advik does not know her parents. She imbued and then left on the Academy doorstep, orphaned since day one. Her parents, presumed to be a shade and a goblin, left her with a lot to deal with tho. She is a small child, the shade in her genes bringing her size down farther than her goblin genes could make up for, and is thus fairly shy. Her tail, Himmat, is less sentient than a pure shade's tail would be, but its still the best friend little Advik has. When she feels out of place, or austrasized for her odd genealogy, Himmat is there to keep her company.
The little hybrid has a large fascination with building. Weather its with blocks, legos, or her favorite, marshmallows and toothpicks, she is always coming up with ideas for bridges, tree-houses, and play-houses. The little shade hybrid often feels she has to hide herself away, which helped her hobby of making secret places to hide all the more concrete. She often looks at tools and the sort, imagining one day to have the responsibility to use them and make more permanent structures, ones that wernt made of blankets, and didnt have to be taken down at bed time.
Strengths: Creative: Advik loves to design things like tree-houses, blanket forts, and in her notebook, she likes drawing out little towns, enjoying the options she has for laying out her little imaginary city. The girl, along with her tail, often make small villages to play in, sometimes destroying them, sometimes being a good mayor and making sure there is candy for all the citizens.
Inquisitive: Advik, with prompting help from Himmat, is always curious as to how things work. The world has to have rules, right? Well how does a bridge stay up if there is only water underneath it? How do you make sure your lego tower does not fall over? How did the adults make such a big academy?! Although she is often too shy to ask these questions, she loves looking up the answers and finding things out.
Faults: Meek: Advik is often shy and prefers to go unnoticed. Sadly, with her rather striking racial qualities, she often does get noticed, much to her own misfortune. Being a shade, with a rather scary looking tail, she gets odd looks, and is assumed to be aggressive, considering her appearance. The little hybrid is not aggressive, and is often scared to get called out, fearing confrontation.
Uncertain: Advic is very uncertain. Shes unsure if shes a good person; her parents abandoned her. She is unsure if her blanket fort will really stand tall, and is worried if you go in there its going to collapse on your head. Advic is unsure of a lot of things, but thats why she seeks more info, to always learn.
RP Prompt: Oh no! Your Nightmare has lost something that is very dear them! What have they lost, and how do they react?Advic was running late that morning. She thought she had put her notebook in her backpack, right where she always puts it, but it was missing. The little daydream was in a tizzy, throwing blankets, clothes, and other belongings this way and that, frantically searching for the lots notebook. Himmat was helping, but in a fairly counter productive way. The tail was tossing what Advic had just moved back onto the girl's side, making her hunt even harder.
"Himmat!" The small freshling finally cried, actual tears in her eyes.
"Himmat move that stuff to the side or something, dont throw it back over here!" The tail frowned in as much a way a tail can, if it had eyes it would put on a hurt puppy look, and flopped to the floor, no longer trying to help find the notebook. Advic wiped a tear from her eye, and then continued searching. She had a great blueprint for a nice little village in her notebook, and she wanted to find it. Partially so she could work on it more, but partially because she was terrified that someone else would find it, and then laugh.
Her drawings were not good, not compared to all the other artists out there whom's work she had seen. Sure they were professionals, but she did not realize what kind of work went into becoming that. She thought daydreams and nightmares were just born good at something, and she was terrified that someone would find out that she was not born a natural artist, and then that none of her drawings of buildings and towns would come to life. The freshling gave up, and sat on the floor, big tears coming from her two almond shaped eyes. Her tail quirked its head. It knew its freshling was upset, but what was a tail to do about that? The tail bumped its head against the freshling, and licked her face.
"What? Is that really what tears taste like?" The small hybrid said, her crying coming to a stop. The tail grinned a big toothy grin at the girl, and Advik could not help but laugh and hug her furry twin. If she couldn't find it, then no one else could either, probably. So her fear of being found out as a bad artist was safe. The daydream let loose a sigh of some relief, she could always find another notebook and build another village from paper and pencil lines. The tail bopped the freshling on the head again, playfully, and the girl was cheered.
"Sorry for being grumpy at you Himmat..." The girl said, stroking the top of the tail's head.
"We can make a new, better village tho now, right?" The little shade inquired to her twin, who nodded and gave her face another lick.
