Who: Eden and Ian Flynn (Cynnybun), Aadhira and Dr. Jannisari (The Semblance of Unity) When: Around noon, late May 2017 Where: Dr. Jannisari's condo in Durem.
----------
It had been some time since Ian had received a response from Justin, and he was starting to get worried. Had something happened? He really had no other way to contact his fellow guardian, and had never gotten Aadhira's phone number either. But it wasn't until a new version of the Lab 305 contact sheet arrive that his worry came to a crescendo.
Justin's name was no longer on the list. Next to Aadhira's name was a new addition: Helminha Jannisari. He had never heard of her, but that could only mean one thing. Aadhira had been abandoned and re-adopted. He could only imagine what that must feel like--given up on, betrayed... He didn't like to think that Justin had done it for any reason other than wanting the best for Aadi, but... He still didn't understand. But if Justin was not going to return his messages, then there was nothing he could really do on that end.
However, the one thing he could do was reach out to Aadhira. Though he had only met the peacock Frei once, he considered him a friend. Surely he would remember Eden as well, or at least make the connection between her and her essence. He had seemed especially interested in it that time. So after reaching out to this Helminha--Dr. Jannisari, as he'd come to find out after Googling her--a playdate was arranged and they were on their way to Durem. On the bright side, it wasn't quite as much of a drive anymore.
"A peacock?" Eden's eyes drifted up from her phone screen as she slumped in the passenger seat, despite Ian's many warnings about safety. It didn't make much sense, now that he thought about it; Eden didn't even have a lower body for the seat belt to hold back. "I bet he's really pretty, huh?" All of the Raevans she had met so far looked very much like their souls. A peacock Raevan would surely be fantastically colored and plumed.
As they pulled into the parking lot of a large apartment-style building, Eden couldn't help but gape up at it. Sure, she had been to Cruz's apartment building before, but this was very different. These were newer, shinier, much more modern and industrial at the same time. That seemed to be the "style" of Durem.
"He lives here? Cool!" Eden drifted toward that front door with Ian lagging behind, missing the anxious look on the florist's face. "What number are they?"
"Um... I'm not sure. Her last name is Jannisari." Ian looked up at the tall building and swallowed.
"Oh, here she is!" The nymph pressed the button eagerly, delighting in the buzzing noise that ensued. After two long buzzes Ian gently pulled her arm away and she snickered quietly. When the intercom came on, Ian spoke first.
"Ah, Dr. Jannisari? It's us, Ian and Eden Flynn!"

There was a slight crackle. "Oh, Mr. Flynn? I'll have you buzzed in. We're on the twelfth floor, in number 1205." Jannisari clicked the intercom off. She didn't often have anyone over - after all, a woman's home was her castle - but since the inclusion of Aadhira into her life... Well, she couldn't keep him locked up, even if he was unsure about meeting with Ian and Eden. The raevan in question was currently draped on one of the couches and she arched an eyebrow at him. He was feeling less than confident, and, in this moment, it showed, just a bit. "They're coming up," she said and he slowed oozed upwards, his ribbon bouncing. "Ian was Justin's friend," Aadhira said. "I know." "But I don't know Eden." "It's an opportunity." Aadhira said nothing further, but rearranged his face pleasantly and went to wait by the door.

The journey up in the elevator was met with a nervous look from both Flynns, the more interesting of the pair folding her arms across her chest and hovering as close to the center as she could get. The shiny walls reflected her furrowed brow and she focused instead on her cell phone to avoid it.
But soon enough the door slid open and she let out a sigh, drifting immediately into the hallway. She could feel Ian's eyes on her but did not acknowledge them, instead straightening up again and raking her fingers through her hair to make sure it was arranged nicely over her shoulder. She took advantage of a reflective picture frame to make sure the neckline of her top was properly situated off her shoulders and that the sleeves were nicely draped, and lastly that her choker was facing the correct way. If she was to meet not only a new Raevan but a no-doubt beautiful one at that, she wanted to look her best!
Ian just chuckled softly as they knocked on the correct door for Dr. Jannisari's apartment and Eden joined him. "Try to start off gently, okay? He might be a little shy..." It wasn't the correct word, but Ian didn't have time to explain himself. Likewise Eden did not have time to press him for clarification, which made her lips purse slightly. The Semblance of Unity tag finally lmfao sobs gomen OTL

Dr. Jannisari opened the door, almost smiling at them. (For her, whose face wasn't terrible expressive, it was as close to a smile as she got.) "Mr. Flynn, Ms. Eden." She didn't know if Eden had taken Ian's last name... Ugh, that was another bit of legality she needed to speak to Aadhira about later. Later was a lot of things. "Aadhira's in the living room." The second living room had been converted into a library, so now she only had one. She gestured behind her. "Please make yourselves at home. I'll be in the library if you need me." Was she abandoning Ian and Eden to talk to Aadhira alone? Absolutely. She'd pop out if needed, but this was a meeting for his sake, not hers. "Hello, Ian!" Aadi called out from his lounging spot on the couch. "Nice digs, huh?" Dr. Jannisari made a face, briefly, and, clicking the door shut behind them, walked briskly and soundlessly off into another room. Which left Aadhira as their erstwhile host. ('Good practice', Jannisari had pointed out.) "Would you guys like drinks?"

"Ah, thank you." Ian offered a boyish smile, the lift of his brows betraying a bit of anxiety. But Dr. Jannisari disappeared as quickly as she had appeared, leaving the three of them alone in the large space. Ian hesitated, closing his mouth after a moment. Perhaps she had work to do or something? She was an academic, after all...
Eden made time to give Dr. Jannisari a pleasant smile, but as soon as she stepped aside the nymph was drifting into the room and away from the guardians. Big green eyes darted around the room, taking it all in and searching for her true priority. But she didn't have to search for long, the object of her curiosity calling out to them as soon as his guardian had disappeared.
Large purple crocuses bloomed along her bubblegum hair as she moved closer to the couch, lively green fern leaves unrolling among them. Ian followed behind her, ready to put a cautioning hand on her arm if she got too eager. But instead she just clasped her hands in front of her body, beaming brightly at Aadhira. She took a moment to take him in, very much her opposite with his dark skin and cooler palette. What struck her first was his hair, the most gorgeous green like evergreen needles, but his eyes-- His eyes! And his freckles, his wings!
Noticing the somewhat awkward silence as Eden just stared, Ian let out a soft laugh and put a hand on her shoulder. "Hi Aadi, nice to see you again." He looked at Eden, who was still starstruck beside him. "This is--"
"I'm Eden!" she chimed, tucking a piece of hair behind her pointed ear. "Sorry if I was staring, I just- You're amazing!" He was easily the most stunning Raevan she had met so far, and likely would beat any others in the future. "I love your hair, it's gorgeous. It's nice to meet you, Aadhira. Did I say that right?" Her wings fluttered behind her and she fussed with the sleeve of her top. What did he think of her? Though her colors always seemed to get positive feedback, but they were nothing compared to Aadhira's glow. The Semblance of Unity literally 3 months later.................................
