Dana is friendly and headstrong, loyal to a fault, and a true believer of the Dominion’s vision of the future. Her own traumatic experience could have made her bitter and resentful, but she overcame the negativity to become who she is today. She exhibits the courage, perseverance, and faith she needs to best fight for the tomorrow she desperately wants to share with other deviants.
What is their backstory?
Dana Comely is a sentry, a deviant soldier who fights for the Dominion.
In the past, she endured an accident at her middle school where her powers went out of control, injuring and killing several people, others dying later from radiation. While her family was reluctant, she was taken away due to the danger she posed, and not by Providence, but by a band of scientists intent on “curing” her of her “sickness”—her deviation. For two years, she was kept as a lab rat, hoping and praying her family would come to save her, but they didn’t. She was kept docile by drugs which prevented her from focusing her powers. When she finally saw them at one point, she pleaded to be freed, but they told her it was best she stayed behind. However, she was rescued by the Dominion, by Snow and her compatriots, freed and protected. This was what put her on the path, and she hasn’t strayed since, owing her life to the people she fights for.
