Grand Central Station offers a host of rail options to other cities on both Bet and Gimmel. As a government provided service the cost of travel is free but security is rather heavy compared to what you might be used to. Cops and Dragon's Teeth alike patrol the area constantly, and various tinker made security measures are watching at all times. At least one or two Wardens are typically deployed to the area as well. Flanking the exterior of Grand Central's underground train network are two glistening sky scrappers. Shops on the bottom, offices rising high into the sky, and between them sits an iconic halo over the station. A joint project between the different multiverse New York's Halo is a portal station that allows business and government officials with the proper clearances to travel between different versions of the city.

Peace wandered into the shadow of stunning piece of architecture known as the Grand Central Station. The buildings in the city always made her feel small, by the high ceilings of the station and the enormous crowds truly made her feel like one tiny speck, a piece of plankton in the ocean. Before she could fully grasp how small she was in comparison to everything, though, she noticed the shopping center and immediately threaded her way through the crowds over to it. It had disappointingly little of practical use to her, though she did eventually find a pharmacy tucked away at one end of one of the buildings. She practically skipped inside, eliciting a few uncomfortable glances from passersby.
After wandering through the aisles for a few minutes, and just as she saw the familiar shape and symbols of a first aid kit, Peace was greeted by a security guard who insisted she leave. She tried to step around him and even pointed at the kit, but he just wasn't having it and kept insisting she leave. He insinuated that if she didn't have money she should take her business elsewhere, so she motioned for him to wait a moment and procured a few bills from one of the side pockets of her backpack. He raised a brow and began to apologize when one of the employees walked over and said she had stolen something, and to search her bag.
That was when things went from uncomfortable to bad. She took a step back out of shock at the accusation and hesitation to spill the contents of her bag, at which point the security officer seemed to assume she was making a run for it and grabbed her. Purely out of instinct she punched the arm he'd used to grab her, knocking it away with a rather nasty squelch. He cried out in pain and a couple of the other shoppers scampered out of the store, calling for help.
Peace was in a panic. Had she had the opportunity to observe herself from the outside, she would note all the classic signs she usually saw in animals as she lashed out at the security guard who was now trying to detain her with everything he had. She struck him in the chest, knocking the wind out of him, then shoved him backward into a display and ran toward the first aid kits. She managed to get her hands on one, but a second guard had arrived on the scene and tackled her from behind. Even more spooked than before, she lashed out fiercely at the new assailant, managing to hit them with enough force to dislocate their shoulder and send them tumbling away into the first one.
She ran to the front of the shop while clutching the kit, her arm and side aching terribly at all the exertion. That was when a couple of police officers arrived on the scene and tackled her to the ground. She flailed wildly with her good arm while clutching at the kit with her other, eventually breaking free and running down one of the store aisles to get away from them.
Things were not getting better even remotely, and the longer she stayed there, the worse they were getting. If she'd known her vagrancy was so offensive to the other shoppers, she might've gone to one of the seedier pharmacies in town, where people were more used to her type. Having fought decently well, but not being in any shape to keep up this level of exertion, Peace bolted for the door, slugging one of the cops as they tried to catch her and ducking under the other. Even as she made it outside, she still felt the fear of one who was hunted, the oppressive closeness of danger all around her. The faces in the crowd were terrifying to her, but she did her level best to take routes as clear of civilians as possible as she sprinted away from the pharmacy, (now) stolen first aid kit in hand.
(Apparent) Crimes committed: (Aggravated?) Assault, Robbery.
Naomi Tenkou A situation escalated. The long and short of it is: Peace went into a pharmacy in the shopping area to buy a first aid kit, they tried to throw her out because she looked homeless and broke, an employee accused her of stealing, and then she got spooked when the security guards tried to detain her forcibly. She grabbed a first aid kit and ran, taking out a couple of security guards and a police officer on the way.

As the crowds parted for Peace to pass through, she gradually came to her senses. She realized that the Wardens, for whatever reason, were otherwise occupied and not pursuing her. She waited out the hubbub in a nearby alleyway after managing to dodge the few cops who were in pursuit, and as the afternoon turned to evening and things got back to normal, she took a very roundabout route back to the pharmacy, pulled out a couple of bills--she was pretty sure the kit was only about twenty dollars, but she wasn't sure--and quickly ducked inside the store. There were a couple of security personnel at the back of the store, so she moved quickly: she waved the first aid kit in front of the cashier, dropped her cash on the counter, and then beat a hasty retreat. She snaked around the building and then walked down random streets until she was reasonably sure she had lost any pursuers, then made a beeline through the city back toward the wilderness.
