██████ ▻ - Advanced Attributes - Ariadne has advanced speed, agility, strength, durability, and stamina due to a long series of experiments to alter her body. While she is in an intermediate phase, with continued experiments she could potentially become a Spider-centaur-like creature.
██████ ▻ -Dermal Armor / Natural weaponry - Ariadne can generate an innate armor as a part of her body, which is resistant to attacks, harm or pain and temperature extremes to an exstent. The hardening of the skin turns her skin into an exoskeleton mainly focused around her arms and legs, but in rare cases a whole 'catsuit-like' armor can be formed. This ability is mainly reactive to stress and danger, showing when needed eithe consciously or subconsciously, and return to normal with practice. Her ability also offers her 'spider leg-like fingers' to which become sharp points like a weapon, her nails becoming hard keratine like fangs which distribute her toxin.
██████ ▻ -Enhanced Senses- Ariadne can hear, see, taste, and feel many times better than a standard human. Her sense of touch is so fine that she can feel vibrations on a spider web and know exactly where it's coming from through feel alone. Many of these enhanced senses leave Ariadne with migraines.
██████ ▻ -Acrobatics / Freerunning- Once Ariadne got better, she focused on her body's health and movement, trying to keep it balanced and fit, despite her slender body frame, trying to add muscle to it. She learned acrobatics, finding the movements graceful and intoxicating to preform with her new speed and agility (even though she was horrible at it at first). After that came the bolder action and hobby of free running (parkour) on the streets of Gotham.
██████ ▻ -Spider Manipulation- Through her many trials with Recluse and the genetic altering series of serums, Ariadne gained the ability to communicate and control a variety of arachnids. This power does not work on any other insect or creature. These spiders can be her spies or deliver messages, or even attack in a swarm or alone. Using her blood she (or others) can alter spiders to be far more advanced that in nature. This is shown via Recluse's genetic experiments on Humans and spiders. Some of his genetic creations are drawn to her and obey her instead (usually all male spiders).
██████ ▻ -Pheromones- While all people and animals have a natural pheromone, Aria's has been advanced beyond typical human levels. She can make people do as she wants or tell her information, follow her, etc. This ability works best on males, or people already attracted to her. It is always 'on' and cannot be turned off. The levels, however, can be increased or decreased, and usually are stronger when she is stressed or afraid. Her webbing is laced with pheromones and can attract various beings like an alluring scent either into a trap or to a safe place.

- -Stronger Opponents- She may be more durable overall, but anyone stronger than her can easily kill her or seriously harm her. Blunt force trauma.
-Typical Human weaknesses- Ariadne can easily drown, die from choking, or simply being stabbed, or beaten to death.
-Extreme Climates- Extreme cold or heat can kill her or make her sluggish in moving. Being too hot can make her sick; being too cold can make her go unconscious.
-Choices- Ariadne has not been in the business of being a vigilante or even a person who goes outside much. Poor choices can lead her into dangerous situations she is not prepared for and can even get her captured or killed. This can also effect others in whether they live or not. She may chose what she wants over what is right.

- ██████ ▻ -Wallflower- Ariadne has always been a timid wallflower even when she was a child. Now that she has her father's influential musical patrons funding her studies to continue Marcos' legacy in classical music and instruments, she is often invited to fancy parties and dinners. She prefers to stay by the drinks or food tables and chat very rarely. While she won't be rude, she just never had the courage to dance or do anything outwardly active in terms of conversing and mingling with people. She wants to be a social butterfly but just feels like it wouldn't be something she could pull off.
██████ ▻ -Proper Lady- With the proper raising and manners, Ariadne is a lady of Gotham's high ranking society. She's soft, kind and demure, and is rather approachable to talk to. While she prefers to keep to herself, especially after her father's murder and her.... changes, she does welcome some friendly contact. She would never approach another with bold actions or flirtation. The others would have to make the first move. Strong Feminists would see her as 'repressed by The Man'. Aside from this, she can be flirtatious and snarky, even down right sarcastic when the mood calls for it. Aria can also be rude as she is not above chastising people who do wrong. She would act if another was in trouble... though she may not succeed in saving them.
██████ ▻ -Determined / Strong Will- Aria has always been a very determined little thing. If she thinks it's the right thing to do, she'll stick with it till either she succeeds or something or someone changed her mind. While this can be a horrible downside to trying to talk sense to her, the upside is that it's given her a strong will inside. She just has to figure out that it can be used for more than just 'getting your way'.
██████ ▻ -Fear of Rejection / Loss / Failure- Several things haunt Ariadne, how she started out life, the way she views herself as pretending to be this lady of Gotham's high society, and most effecting... the murder of her father and the decimation of her physical humanity. She's afraid to be rejected, to look foolish or be proven wrong, and especially the loss of something or someone she cares about. She won't try if she thinks there is a chance to fail, and fail big, especially if embarrassment is at the end of it. Aria doesn't like being laughed at or made fun of/insulted. This mindset keeps her from striking out on her own in both her personal love life (which is non-existent) and her musical career. Now that she is some kind of Spider Metahuman, she now has to come to grips with it and accept her new self and that she could be loved by someone else and not seen as a freak.
██████ ▻ -Personality Shift / Alias Related Freedom- In her Redback suit, she feels almost unstoppable. Ariadne discovered a type of freedom that has let her be everything that she could never be as Ariadne Marcos. As Redback, she can be strong and confident without fear of being found out or shamed. This confidence is almost an instant addiction and has become more than just a passing fancy as trying to be a costumed vigilante. She feels FREE. She's more outgoing, confident, brave, and even flirtatious. Only when someone recognized her does Ariadne resurface in an instant to lock everything down. Think of it as the ultimate being caught dancing or singing when you thought you were alone.

██████ ▻ -Revenge- Ariadne wants Ivan Leikos, aka The Recluse, to suffer. She realized she will have to actually kill someone but she insists to herself that it's worth it.
██████ ▻ -Musician- She often dreams of becoming a world re-known harpist, or violinist, but fears leaving all she knows and is familiar with. She is not fond of possibly failing and so does not try. Being shy (out of costume), leaves her little in way of making friends or actually heading towards this goal.
██████ ▻ -The Life- She wants to be normal (within reason). Husband, children, a house and living well-off, is all she really desired. Being a street orphan, left her with the bitter taste of poverty which she tries to frown out with luxuries and other things. It is as if she has to prove she is not worthless, but feels as if she actually is and ins merely pretending to live up to her father's good name.
██████ ▻ -Super Heroine- This is in conflict of her dream to be in love and have a family and home and normalcy. Aria wants to fight crime and be a hero and even be taken seriously in such a role. She wants to be a bold decisive fighter and catch the bad guys, save the day, etc. While her ideal of it seems far too simplistic and more like a child's dream, it's something she would rather do than to just be a freak. She sees her potential to stop people, to get information... she just doesn't have the training. With her determination... she can get it.
➳ What's their backstory?
- Ariadne was found starving on the streets of Chicago by a well known wealthy musician, Gino Marcos, on the way home from preforming in a concert. The young girl tried to pick pocket him but could not get away before he chased her down the back alleys and collect what was his. Seeing her in such a deplorable condition, he took her to his home and tried to nurse her back to health. A visit to the hospital would reveal a very rare illness in her body that seemed determined against all medicine to starve her.
A doctor approached him with a proposition for another experimental remedy to not cure but the sickness into remission so that she could be healthy and live a good life. Gino -having become fond of the little girl after losing his own wife and newborn son in a car accident- decided to adopt her and go through with this experimental procedure. Originally having no name, Gino named the orphan Ariadne, a name his wife had wanted for when they had a daughter, and gave her his last name.
While Ariadne stayed in the care of the mysterious Dr. Ivan Leikos, a well known toxicologist and admirer of snakes and spiders and all things venomous/toxic, Gino made sure she received a first class education as she was a very bright little girl -if not rather quiet and reserved. The tests all seem to come back negative, but with a Formula V-148B, a change seemed to take hold of a now pre-teen Ariadne. While she did seem more healthy, she was plagued by sounds and the need to be out of the bright lights of the hospital ward.
When the head of medicine at the hospital found out what Dr. Leikos had been preforming on the small girl (very illegal practices) he accused the Doctor of trying to kill his patient and experimenting with cruelty and life threatening serums. He was going to report him to the police but a fight ensued ending in the Head of Medicine at the hospital defending himself for his life as Leikos seemed to sprout spider legs and fangs to try to rip him apart in a rage. Young Ariadne screamed at the sight of her doctor feeding on the body of a man and tried to run away from the hospital to get help.
Leikos, calling himself The Recluse, stopped her in his monstrous form and disappeared with her, the notes of his formulas, and several key pieces of equipment from the hospital. Leaving behind for the police to discover was just the hallowed out body of the Head of Medicine and a trashed hospital ward. Ariadne was kept at Recluse's hideout and private laboratory where a wide range of his insanity and desperation for another like him could be seen in numerous mutated patients in cages. Leikos explained to her that she was special, that her DNA accepted the changes and she would become one like him and they could be together for eternity. Not knowing what to do, she went along with it, but planned to later try to escape when she had her strength back.
Meanwhile, Marcos, told the police all about how his daughter had been kidnapped by a monster and they had no idea what to do. It didn't take Silent Knight long to find the hide out of the Recluse and try to save not only Ariadne but the other patients as well.
Unfortunately he fell into a literal trap door of incredibly sticky webbing the Recluse had been working on to perfect, ensnaring Silent Knight as a meal for later. As Silent Knight worked to get out of the trap with numerous tools, it was Marcos who was finally able to track down Ariadne via a message she was able to get out to him carried by a large spider. This would end only in tragedy as Marcos fell into a similar trap, but Recluse had other plans for him, having known full well of Ariadne's note. He proceeded to shock and devour Marcos in front of Ariadne, much to her absolute horror.
With help from others, Silent Knight was able to get out of the trap and attack Recluse, but not before too much damage was done to Marcos's insides. Recluse fled the scene, setting off fire bombs as he left so his notes and all evidence would burn up, leaving only a promise that he would be back for Ariadne soon. Silent Knight took Ariadne to the hospital while police saw to the crime scene and dead nearly completely liquefied body of her father.
Terrorized by horrible nightmares and the inhuman senses that plague her, Ariadne swore vengeance on Recluse, swearing that she would hunt him down and kill him and destroy all of his work.

Relatives: -Gino Marcos- Adoptive father, a very wealthy and successful musician who specialized with string instruments. His wife and newborn son were killed in a car accident just months before he found Ariadne. He took her in and adopted her as his own daughter. He died protecting her from Dr. Ivan Leikos, aka The Recluse, a metahuman man-spider with designs on making Ariadne like him to mate with and usher in an age of spider-beings like him.
-Biological Parents- Both are mysteriously gone from Chicago, no evidence of who they were or where they had gone but they are presumed dead.
-Ivan Leikos, M.D.- An insane doctor with aspects of creating others in his image of a man-spider crossbreed. He created himself from a man to a huge monstrous spider whose hunger is insatiable. His loneliness lead him to experiment on numerous patients with his series of experimental serums consisting of venoms, toxins, and poisons found in nature and mainly spiders, especially his own blood. He infected Ariadne's genes with his and fashioned her body into resisting poisons and accepting them as it's own, overwriting it's genetic programming as a human. He only got to the first stage of the transformation, but he swore to continue it so she could be his mate.
Equipment: -Redback Suit- The suit is made from a kevlar/titanium compound with woven in web fibers for flexibility and strength. It is bullet proof, resistant to physical impact, and flame retardant. The hands and feet are specially made for easy climbing on nearly all services. The blades on her boots are used for fighting, balance, and climbing. The mask acts as a transmitter, receiver, and provides technical support to expand and hone her 'natural' senses and abilities.
-Silk Spinneret Gloves- This device that monitors her web spinning glands is hidden in the gloves, it helps direct silk fibers from Spinneret glands from her wrists (the glands being housed in her forearms), to grapple upright and upside down on surfaces. It can be used to ensnare others or items and bring it to her. The tether silk is white and made of a sticky high-tensile protine that's strength can rival kevlar. Two small reels can grab onto the silk and be used to pull her up or an item to her much like a grapple. Being weaved together it can be formed to make a net or a web for her to wait on or catch people or things, but must be made before hand. Several types of webbing can be made via different gland types she posesses.
-Darts- Thin darts made of hardened keratin quill-like projectiles. The fingertips of these gloves house small high pressure darts filled and coated in spider toxin that can incapacitate and even kill. It is near impossible to dig out of a victim. Picture the worst splinter ever.
