Teleportation: Samuel also has the ability to move through space at an instant, however, he can only teleport to places he can see or has a direct connection to. That means if he has a photo of a location, he can teleport to it. Teleporting without a line of sight is possible but it is a risk Sam prefers not to take because he has no way of knowing where he will end up. He can take two people max with him when he teleports.

Animal Manipulation: Sam has the ability to communicate with and control the actions of animals he is around (up to a mile). His ability is limited by the animal size meaning he can control a horde of smaller animals or a single large one. However, his ability to communicate with them is not limited by size, only his ability to assume control of them (see though their eyes and move).
Mind Link: Samuel has the ability to mentally link up to five people together. When linked, the people are able to share thoughts, emotions, and memories as well as pain and suffering. While the link allows them to experience the same good feelings they will also experience negative feelings. If one person in a link is rendered unconscious, everyone linked falls unconscious as well. If one person in a link is killed, everyone else is rendered brain dead. Telepaths can sever the links but are unable to prevent them from initially forming. People with psychic resistance can not prevent links unless everyone they are being linked to has the same resistance.
Danger Intuition: Samuel has a sixth sense of sorts that alerts him to any immediate threats. He can only tell when he is in danger and so it is not really a helpful team skill. Samuel can predict the danger in degrees that vary depending on the coming danger. If the threat is great, he will receive almost a vision (not really a vision but he gets a very, very good idea of where the danger is coming from) relating to what will happen, however if the threat is minor he won't feel much more than a strong urge to move out of his current location.

- He is mortal and when forming a mind link or assuming direct control of animals his eyes turn white.
➳ How do they act?
- Samuel is a man who is always wearing a mask of humor. He hides real feelings behind humor a jokes. He doesn't like bullies and he doesn't like pompous jerks. Anyone who flaunts elegance is bound to rub him the wrong way and his humor will probably do the same to them. He enjoys situations where he is control and is a firm believer that his way is the best way to do things.
➳ What's their backstory?
- Samuel had a complicated childhood. He grew up in the shadow of a man who was never even his father's son. Owen Hunt. Half way through Richard Shaw's career as the Horseman Azrael he met a woman named Miranda Henderson. Richard fell in love and most of the time he was not working as Azrael or training Owen, he spent with Miranda. Yet love had blinded him to the truth. For every bit of hero that Richard was, Miranda was a villain. By the time he learned the truth they had already had a child. Samuel. Richard's love for Samuel did not change at the discovery of his mother's villainy. His love for Miranda didn't change either and that was the key source of his problem. He loved a criminal and so he began sabotaging certain missions so that Miranda's involvement would not be noticed. Eventually the stress from that caused Richard to fall ill. Samuel was twenty by then and he had moved out and away from both of his parents who were playing a constant game of tug of war with him. His mother wanted him to be a villain and his father wanted him to be a hero but his father would not let him be Azrael and his mother was not the mentoring type. Maybe it was for the best. If he had followed Richard, he would be dead. If he had followed Miranda, he would be in prison with her.
So Samuel found a middle ground. He became a Robin Hood-esque thief. Within a few months he had taken up the mantle of The Raven. As the Raven he worked to improve the lives of the little guy while constantly making the lives of mobsters difficult. Then Richard was killed. Samuel went on a quest for vengeance and only found rumors of a dark Azrael tearing apart the criminal underworld. Without any sense of closure he was forced to abandon his vengeance. Samuel's ambition grew and he began going after larger targets, larger sums of money. He targeted banks he knew helped criminals, and in doing so he attracted the attention of heroes. He was labeled a villain and he lived with it. That label became more accurate when he began killing. Originally he never wanted to drop any bodies, he wanted to take from criminals and give to the poor but things changed. He realized he could never keep a made man from recovering his wealth and he could never keep the poor from being bullied. So he figured he would eliminate the cruel. His work began with organized crime.
The Raven targeted all of the mob families, he even dipped into Cartel, Bratva, Triad, Milieu, the Irish Mob, the Mafia, Yakuza... okay... so he kinda got involved with all branches of organized crime. Some he attacked from the outside and some he attacked from the inside. Some, he attacked from the inside of others. It became a very complicated web and remains complicated to this day. He maintains connections to various criminal organizations and has over fifteen different identies that he has used to infiltrate the groups. When Owen Hunt found him and offered a place on the new team he accepted. It was another platform to help the little guy and it gave Sam a way to be closer to his father’s old work. Now he actively fights as a member of the Four Horsemen, he has adopted the name Nergal but still uses his old alias from time to time.

- - Samuel's father was the Azrael before Owen Hunt. He doesn't hate Owen because Owen is Azrael, but there is certainly envy there.

- Samuel stopped killing criminals when he joined the Four Horsemen. He has stated on multiple occasions that he has no opinion one way or the other on killing.
