He’s also a very gifted strategist, and has perfected this on his foes. His crimes have allowed him a large independent fortune that he’s been able to cleverly hide, allowing him to fund all his future heists and employ others to support him. It has paved the way for his vast criminal network that’s he’s spent years establishing.

- From very early on, O'Connor was fond of magic, admiring magicians on television all throughout his life for their impressive illusions. His father, however, always disapproved, believing that science was a more worthwhile endeavor. Beck didn’t necessarily disagree, and sought to put the two together, because magic was essentially just clever display. The motivation nurtured his brilliance.
The correlation between one’s perceptions and one’s mental state was his prime fascination. Elaborate illusions were his primary focus, developing such realistic illusions that he sought to improve. This desire for improvement urged him to partake in illegal activities, which he concealed by fronting as a simple magician. O’Connor was eventually discovered in 2010, but he’d progressed so greatly that he convinced his audience to attack the police. Abandoning his old name and branding himself “Legerdemain”, he’d go on to more high-profile crimes.
