Years had passed since Avior had found himself actually out on patrol in the city. After the whole madness Ordeal, where he found the very fabric of his mind torn and twisted by the very chaos he had once trusted in so deeply, he felt incredibly lost. For more than four years he had been a Senshi, once on the side of Order, now on the side of Chaos, but it was hardly a time spent well used.
No, in fact, after the first two years , when he had earned his wings, he had barely made it out of the city alive. Not because of how dangerous it was, but because of just how badly his own mind decided to beat and berate him. He was just a kid back then, too stupid to realize that there was far more to life than just a few petty words and a single moment of weakness, yet he couldn’t go back to that time. And for a while it plagued him, driving him deeper and deeper into a hole he just couldn’t climb out of, or find the light at it’s end. So back then, he had tried to end it. When that, too, had failed Nischal had chosen to flee the city, to find his own sense of purpose and and to try his hand at being alone by choice.
For a long time, it worked, and two years later, he returned to DC, ready to make amends with his shortcomings and to help protect those of his small and fragmented faction. Yet it seemed as if just that small, tiny, insignificant event while fighting Pandora was enough to shake his reserve to the point where Avior found himself troubled and aimless, fighting back the tormented chorus for voices in the back of his mind who chanted verse after verse of his own uselessness.
To combat them, he went out on patrol, looking for something he couldn’t quite name. Fear of the unknown or being attacked left him years ago, for what could be scarier to him right now than his own mind attacking itself? And with that lack of fear came a recklessness that he should have known better than to do, coming far too close to normal civilians when powered up during the still young night. It was always such a strange feeling, being so close to those who lived normally, yet being forced to ignore them until danger was present, almost as if he had disassociated himself from normal humans all together.
And it frightened him.
For all his fears and worries, he still found himself drawn to those like him, so when he did finally feel the Aura of another Dark Mirror Senshi, he headed towards it, ready to help if need be. Then again, how much help could he even be when he was incredibly lacking in helping himself?

“Whoa. It’s an eternal,” Sinope commented as the high-powered stranger came into view. He sat on the edge of a school building, kicking his feet over empty air. “And an Eternal Dark Mirror Senshi at that. To what do I owe the honor, Your Eternalness?” the teen asked, smirking as he appraised the newcomer and not even bothering to get up.
“Don’t run into a lot of other Dark Mirror Senshi often, so I don’t know many, especially because I’m pretty new. But I don’t think I’ve met any Eternal Dark Mirrors before and I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen you before. What’s your name?”
The redhead didn’t bother introducing himself. He wasn’t sure the other senshi would know or care, lowly as Sinope was, so he didn’t waste his breath. Instead, he focused on the little mirror wraith below, watching it as it crept toward the group of boys hanging around just outside the guys’ locker rooms.

Avior had no thoughts at all on the matter of formalities, and just smiled at the younger senshi sitting up high.
“It’s Avior. Avior, Senshi of Walls. Just Avior is fine, since I’m your ally, not a person to be listened to or anything. It’s a pleasure to meet you. What’s your name and Sphere?” Calmly, he greeted him, taking just a moment to give a short nod before he easily scaled the wall to join him up on the roof. Just how old was this kid? Probably hardly any older than he had been when he first powered. Once beside him, his gaze followed the boy’s and made a slight raised eyebrow at the wraith wiggling along towards some boys.
“Your classmates I take it?” He asked, not accusing, just curious. Suddenly he felt incredibly old standing next to this young teen, even if he was still just a teen himself. He guessed that’s just what was bound to happen if you quit school at sixteen. “And you said you’re new? May I ask, was it Remarque who awakened you, or perhaps Leto?”

”Senshi of…Walls?” the younger senshi repeated, twisting around to check Avior’s face for signs of jesting. “How does that even work? What’s your magic like? Do you build things? Make mazes? Block people off?” Sneering at the concept, he answered, “Sailor Sinope, Senshi of Slyness.” When Avior came up to meet his altitude, he got to his feet, brushed himself off, and extended a hand to shake.
At the eternal’s inquiry, he gave a casual nod while he followed the progression of his wraith. “I figure the less energy they have, the less inclined they’ll be to use me as a punching bag.” The latter question regarding who awoke him required more thought. “‘Awoke me’? You mean like as a Dark Mirror Senshi, right? I think it was Remarque. Long-haired blonde guy. Why?”

“It’s more like summoning walls. Barriers of sorts to keep people safe, though I’ve used them before to launch myself in the air, or crushing youma. I’ve even used them to pin people in place so they couldn’t escape.” Avior wasn’t quite sure what to make of Sinope’s sneer, given the fact that his magic was one of the useful spheres he had seen in his lifetime. Especially when compared to slyness. Still, the handshake was warm and reciprocated before he turned his gaze back to the boys below.
“Ah… Well, I suppose they are perfect candidates for draining then. Maybe I should send my own wraith down there to wear them out even more. Can’t have them beating up on one of my brothers in arms.” In saying that, he pulled out one of the shards he had hidden in his fuku, but didn’t quite use it yet. After all, he didn’t want to intrude on the other’s ‘hunting grounds’ if he wasn’t welcomed.
“I only ask because from what I remember from years ago, Leto was much more of a violent teacher than Remarque was. And Remarque is an old friend, I hope he’s helping you out when it comes to learning the ropes. How long have you been a senshi for?”

“Keep them safe, keep them in, keep them out, make a labyrinth to watch them scurry around like lab rats...okay, I guess I can see how that might come in handy. Maybe even be fun,” Sinope commented, smirking at the last idea. “Crushing youma and launching yourself into the air sound like pretty creative ways to use your magic, too, even if it’s not the most conventional use that comes to mind when you think ‘walls’. I guess that relies on how the walls manifest, though, since if they just materialized out of thin air, those might not have been possible.”
His smirk broadened into a full grin at Avior’s comment about possibly sending his own wraith out and Sinope bowed at his waist with an elaborate gesture of his arm. “Please, be my guest! I’d appreciate the help.” The additional words about being one of Avior’s ‘brothers in arms’ caused him to flinch, but he had recomposed himself by the time he had straightened from his bow. Whether or not the older senshi considered himself his ‘brother’ in any way, shape, or form was not his problem. Even if he collected energy from those boys, it wasn’t as if Avior didn’t get anything out of it. He benefitted from the energy collected from the mirror wraiths as well, same as the rest of the Dark Mirror Senshi.
“Yeah? I take it you know both of them, then?” Sinope asked, curious about this Leto person and both their and Remarque’s relations to Avior. “Nah, not really. I mean he answered a few of my questions, but I’m a quick learner and I figured I could work things out on my own. Don’t like to rely on others when I can help it,” he explained. “Let’s see...I’ve been a senshi for abooout...six months now? How about you?”

Nodding in agreement, and pleased that he had been granted permission, Avior used his shard to set his little beastie of a wraith on the boys below. He had enough trust in the weird little thing that he otherwise paid it no mind as it charged in.
“I know of both, yes, but I’ve only worked with Remarque pretty extensively. He’s the one who brought me into the Dark Mirror Court and helped me reach Eternal level.” Six months, huh…. He wasn’t quite sure if that qualified as being a quick learner… After all, it only took Avior two or three months to reach Super level… But maybe that was a White Moon thing, rushing towards power. Life was alot different since he had given all that up.
“Since I was sixteen so… Four years now? But I was only really active for two of them… Something came up and I left the city on my own for a while and only got back about a year ago.” Sinope didn’t need to know about his depression or how he went and drove all around the country in a busted up winnebago, so why mention it?
“Don’t like to rely on others? The Dark Mirror Court is Often described as being a ‘family’ since it’s so small, but lots of us seem to have that same ideology, not wanting the help of others. It makes us disjointed and unorganized I think. Perhaps if you wanted to be all by yourself, how come you didn’t awaken as a white moon senshi? Before I corrupted It certainly felt like a dog eat dog world and I had no one to depend on. I joined here BECAUSE there were people to work with.”
