Amber hummed a soft, cheerful tune as she walked, clutching a box to her chest with a care for its contents. She could feel the heat radiating from it to her fingers and even through her shirt. The delicious scent of chocolate followed the heat, and Amber couldn't help leaning forward to give the box appreciative sniffs from time to time.
Baking class was always fun, but today especially so. They'd make brownies. The dry ingredients were already mixed so it was a matter of measuring and mixing in all the wet stuff to make it into batter. The fun part had come with the additions. The teacher had provided all kinds of nuts, chocolate pieces, caramel, and other bits and bobs. The whole class got to add whatever they liked to make their own personal brownies! Amber had mixed some chopped walnuts and a tiny handful of chocolate chips to her batter, poured it in the pan, then drizzled some caramel on top before setting it to bake. She'd been hard put not to eat the whole pan when she tasted the results! She wanted to bring some home to share with her family.
Even now she was tempted, but each time her fingers strayed to the lid Amber hardened her resolve. Good things like this had to be shared! She believed nothing could brighten up a day like a delicious sweet, and she loved seeing people enjoy her cooking. She directed herself to pay more attention to her surroundings to get her thoughts away from the box and its tempting contents.

I pictured this at the Academy, but left it vague in case you wanted to go for a different setting. Like Amber passes Mordikai at a park on her way home or something!
