 Shaline de Fortemps (Lawrence)
Advance White Magic Teacher As Shaline was walking down the shops district, she noticed a weapons shop and decided to take a look. It was always interesting to see different weapons and see how the crafter decided to forge them. She always made her own weapons while she lived in Eorzea, and most everyone that made their own had a very similar style as everyone that was a Blacksmith all studied under the same person, as well as any crafting profession. Each area of crafting had it's own master and everyone went to learn from them. Shaline walked into the store and started looking around at the craftsmanship of the weapons and she could tell they were done by a skilled crafter.

I wish I could remember
Rune had been in her forge for most of the day, trying to repair a sword for a customer. The sword itself had a hilt of 7 inches and a straight, double-edged blade that was 40 inches long. Black leather was wrapped around the hilt, with a gold trim. She had just finished working on the guard, which was about 5 inches and silver, when she took notice to a customer on her security monitor. Rune only used the monitor if she was working in the forge, so that she could see when someone would walk in. After wiping the sword down with a soft cloth, she smiled and rose it into the sunlight. As the rays of sun gleamed off the steel blade, she smiled and walked into her shop.
Upon taking notice to the newcomer, she smiled and put the sword away in a special case. The case was glass and trimmed in gold. Above the case was a plaque that read "Repairs". Any weapon she did repair work on went in this case until the customer arrived to pick it up. After closing the case, she walked over to the female and greeted her. "Welcome to Runestone Crafters. My name is Rune and I will be glad to help you with anything you may need. That is, as long as it has to do with weapons. Are you looking for something in particular?"

Advance White Magic Teacher Shaline's ear twitched when a young woman spoke. She looked over to the girl and smiled. "Did you, perchance, make all of these weapons?" She looked over the girl and noticed the tall tell signs that she was the smith of the establishment. "These weapons were crafted with precision and skill."

I wish I could remember
Rune nodded and looked around her shop, taking in all that she had done. She had only been crafting weapons and such for a few years, but her passion was clearly visible. Something had guided her to this profession and she loved it. "Thank you. I've made every single one of these, aside from the ones in the repair case. My job is an art and I make everything with pride and passion. You could say that crafting is in my blood. I never overlook even the smallest detail. Are you looking to buy something or perhaps order something custom?"

Advance White Magic Teacher She shook her head and smiled. "Not at this moment. I actually tend to make my own weapons. But it's nice to see that if I do decide to get another weapon that I know where to come." Her tail swished to the other side of her as she walked over to the girl. "I'm relatively new to the area. So I don't know many people." She did a slight bow to the girl. "Shaline de Fortemps is my name." She stood up and smiled once more.

"It is a pleasure to meet you Shaline." Rune said, smiling a little. "Most of the time, if I'm not in my shop, I'm in my forge. This is a nice little town and I do hope that things stay that way. Although, one can't be too careful. You never know what could happen. I've been here for as long as I can remember. Crafting was the only thing that could me calm." 'She has a tail. Oh well, I can't judge anyone around here. There are many types of people around.' "Do you work at that academy by any chance?"

Advance White Magic Teacher Shaline smiled and nodded. "I actually do. I am actually the Advanced White Magic teacher." She said as she pulled out her White Mage stone and in a flash of light, her outfit had changed. Her knives that were on her hips had disappeared as she now looked like she was without a weapon. Her ears twitched as she smiled at Rune. "I have only really explored the school so I was taking time to look around the town to see what else was around."

Rune smiled and stretched out a little. "This town has a lot to offer if you just look hard enough. And it also seems that new shops and buildings are rising up. I've heard a lot about the academy, but I've never actually seen it for myself. I would rather avoid a fight if possible." She didn't have time to worry about fighting or anything else. The only thing on her mind was finding out who she truly is. Everything before meeting Artemis was a blank and she desperately wanted her memories back. Crafting took her mind off of it for a bit, but not entirely.

Advance White Magic Teacher Shaline nodded. "Yes. I tend to like to stay out of one or in the back healing. Which is funny because I master in two other melee classes. But even then, I like to try and find an alternate to fighting." She looked over some of the staffs that were in a case. She spotted one that looked very similar to one that was in Eorzea but was different quite a bit. "It's nice to meet someone else around here. The other staff at the school tend to keep to themselves for the most part." She looked back over to Rune. "It was nice to meet you Rune."

Rune was actually quite interested in the academy. There was even one time when she thought about becoming a teacher there, but her love for the craft was stronger. At least she could say that she made a friend and couldn't wait to tell Artemis. He had saved her a few years ago and she promised to do all that she could to help him. "I'm happy to have made a friend. And feel free to stop in anytime. I believe that the academy could really help a friend of mine, but he refuses to ask."

Advance White Magic Teacher Shaline cocked her head to the side like a curious cat, although she didn't realize she did it. "Oh? Maybe I can meet with him or her and see if maybe I can help them. My father told always taught me that when someone was in need of help, to never pass them by. So maybe I can help." Shaline's tail switched sides again as she talked. Her ears perked up as she spoke about what her father said. She truly adored her father and always tried to be like him, and not the Miqo'te she was. She smiled as she finished talking.

Rune looked down a little and released a small sigh. "Artemis is a bit stubborn when it comes to his situation. Even if you offered, he wouldn't accept your help. He doesn't like the idea of putting anyone in danger and he feels like it's responsibility. The only reason he's letting me help is because I live with him." She wanted someone to help Artemis, just like how he helped her. Why wouldn't he want someone's help? The whole idea of it confused her. Rune could understand why he felt responsible, but it didn't mean that he had to fight alone. "Sorry about that."

Advance White Magic Teacher Shaline just smiled a little bigger with a small giggle. "Sounds like my Uncle Emmanelaine. And you never know. Maybe I can convince him that he won't put me in danger. Trust me. Titan when he is revived a third time is about as dangerous as Bahaumt on a rampage to destroy Hydaelyn. And I can hold my ground against a crazed dragon who is hell bent on destroying my home." Shaline smiled and pulled out her dragoon and ninja stones. "Besides, I am known as the Mage of Light back in my world. I have saved the world from destruction time and time again. So maybe just at least let me meet him."

Rune laughed a little and tried to cheer up. Perhaps Shaline could convince Artemis to let her help him. It was worth a try at least, even if does say no. "I wouldn't even know where he is. I'm here early and he stays gone all day until late at night. Where he goes is a mystery to me. What he's going through is very personal. Perhaps he just doesn't want anyone else to end up like someone he lost. And by lost, I don't mean dead." 'It wouldn't him to talk to her. I just wish I knew where he goes during the day.'
