Lilith returned home quickly after deciding on what she wanted to get into for the night. Before she really got off to her villainous career. So far she had done mostly harmless things, stuff that could land her in trouble, but worst case scenario she might spend a month in jail if caught in the act, maybe get probation with the wardens if she played her cards right. She didn't need to do anything too risky for that possibility to increase. Instead, she would simply continue building up her funds in order to buy some things she needed. Namely a firebase to store some supplies, maybe put up a storefront over it in Queens. Decisions decisions. She became distracted while looking up the logistics of running a business, coming across a more well to do looking fellow who had recently moved into her favorite place to burglarize. Staten Island. The guy she'd hit up initially was on the edge, a less rich man, though he was still rolling in the moolah. Soon, she'd be up there with them, at their expense of course. She had her job for the night as she looked up his new location, something surprisingly easy to find out online. Only idiots bragged and boasted about how rich they were, especially when it was old trustfund money that landed them everything they ever had.

She licked her lips hungrily, eyes fluttering to the cracked door of her room, barely smelling the lilac candles she liked to burn in there while studying. She missed Liana something fierce, but tonight would have to be another night she left a ntoe. Studying late, or maybe held up at "work." Such was the burden of a double life.

It took Liana dropping the keys on four separate occasions to finally get it in the slot. The tumblers rose and fell until they matched the teeth and with effort the lock turned over until it clicked in place. A sniffle brought the scent of iron and rust once more to her senses, earning a groan of disgust from the girl. With a small push the door to the apartment swung open on silent hinges. With what little energy was left in her sore body she crossed the room in a few strides and tossed herself on to the couch. An audible groan of agony from the slumped figure. It wasn't even the bruises that mottled her skin nor the split lip that was hurting her the most. It was the lights. Or dots. Or whatever the ******** was going on in her head. So much was happening around her yet she was entirely alone. Liana couldn't make sense of it, any of it at all. What was worse, she wasn't even able to call for help. Her goddamn phone had been taken. That and everything else she actually owned was gone as well. Even this week's rent.

But none of that was at the forefront of Liana's mind. There was just too much actual s**t. "Ugh, go away! Go the ******** away!" Liana shouted with all her force, reaching for one of the pillows and shoving her head beneath it. That's when it got weird. Where the hell was she? What should have just been the inside of her eyelids turned in to...the sewers? She was scampering along the waterways, picking a route over trash and grime along with all of the other rats. Wait, what the ********? Liana sat sharply up and winced at the suddenness of her pain. Slender fingers reached for the hem of her ruined shirt. She braced herself then and slowly dragged the cloth upward. Man, that was going to seriously hurt for awhile. The once smooth skin over her stomach was purple and red, spreading from the point of impact on her rib cage and around to her hip. There was road rash as well, with bits of gravel still having stuck to her.

A nagging at the back of her head took her away from the dismay she was feeling. One of those bits of light were close. Real close. Light purple eyes scanned the dim lit room until it came to the window. Nine floors up there shouldn't be anyone looking at her from out there. But there was. Two tiny eyes peered back from a long nose. Rounded ears poking out from the side of its head, and a tail curled around its little paws. A rat.

It was dark by the time Kozi got home, wearing her backpack and hat as she had when she left. She had stopped to ensure she had gotten fair payment for her car, and spent some time watching the men in the room as they worked, seeing with a pointed interested how the pieces came apart to turn the large truck, in rather quick time, into a pile of parts. Consider a new skill gathered, as she bit down on her thumb, watching the grease monkeys tearing out a radio, removing a steering wheel. In just ten minutes four men had shown her everything she needed to know about tearing apart a truck, down to it's base parts. They even disabled and removed a tracker, hooking it up to a different truck, using it as a decoy and peeling off quickly. Ten minutes told them about where this garage was, that night relatively but not in time to come and stop this specific operation. Elsewhere in the garage she watched as a couple of other men performed maintenance on a motorcycle. She leaned on a wall, watching them change oil, rotate tires. Half an hour more passed, and she remembered Liana would likely be waiting up for her. She turned to leave, gone with a backpack full of cash. Her next stop, an ATM that was designated a drop point for her specifically. It didn't take too long to load the money into the machine. A computer glitch, appearnce wise, flashed and that was her cue that it was all good. In the next few minutes she was climbing a low rooftop, that led to a higher one, and disappeared into the night. Kozi became Lilith once more, and she slid down a gutter in an ally, wiping herself off with her costume in her backpack. Four fifty five in the morning? Damn she was late.

She ascended the stairs, holding something in her hand that was befitting for an apology and also as a gift for what was the anniversary of... of how long? How had she forgotten again? Six months? Seven?

                                          ... Three?

It didn't matter to her as she reached the ninth floor, legs finally complaining at her. Her home was ten doors down, at the corner opposite where she had entered. Last precaution. But... the door was open? Specifically, it was ajar, and a push opened it all the way. A few steps put her inside the room, and her eyes scanned it, almost going on alert status. She hit the light, a look so intense it would be reserved for a murderous intent. If a cape had come here to confront her, he would have a hell of a lot of explaining to do. When she finally saw Liana sitting up, her gaze softened, icey grey eyes going from hard lines to wide circles. She kicked the door closed be hind her, dropping the small box, gift wrapped, on the ground with her back pack and clearing the coffee table in a maneuver too clean, too practiced. She didn't see the rat behind her as she fell to her knees, pushing the table back and staring into Liana's eyes. She tossed her hat aside, hair still in the dutch braids it took her an hour and a half to put up, a hairstyle Liana hadn't ever scene. She didn't immediately speak, surveying the damage done to her. She mouthed a "what the ********" as she saw the bruise on her ribs, the gravel. She pulled a the blanket almost frantically, moving the girl's destroyed shirt, a shirt she had given her, and looking to see her riddled with bruises.

Observant gaze fell on her lips after what, in her mind felt like an eternity of examining the damage her beloved had suffered. She turned a shade of red so bright and violent she almost looked like a cartoon. She took her hands in her face, tracing thumbs over her cheeks and holding her love's eyes in a deathlock with her own. Part of why they fit so well was because Lilith and Liana were inexhaustible, but that led to a sort off... nuclear response to everything. "I am going to kill whoever did this. Who was it," she said plainly, almost cold if she weren't also tearing up. She hadn't even noticed that, somewhere along the night, she broke a nail off until she saw it. She looked around, frantic, remembering she was probably in pain. With demanding hands that were unusual for the power dynamic of their relationship she took the ruined shirt off and got up, throwing it aside. She crossed the apartment, almost stomping. "This is going to sting but it will help that lip," she said wiping the blood with her thumb, them popping that in her mouth as if it were her own blood as she dabbed the ointment on her lip. It was sure to sting for a second, then numb it out.

"Who did this, Lilac," she said softly, looking over her legs to see if there was anything there as well, then looking back at her face, dead serious. Not so surprisingly she had sat her knife on the counter, a few steps away. Her breathing was heavy with emotion and frustration, and she was far from calm, but she was atleast down from the fever pitch she had reached.

Liana put on a brave face when she heard familiar foot steps rushing in. It said something along the lines of 'no, it looks way worse than it feels'. Which was entirely a lie and there was no way Lilith would believe her. They had been together long enough - maybe like eight months or more or less - that most of her tells were easily picked up on. Plus Liana actually did look like a massive pile of crap. Instead of fighting and trying to play it off she just melted. It felt absolutely wonderful when those hands she loved to have touching her busied themselves frantically with inspection. In silence she let her lady love have this freak out. Honestly it was nice someone was reacting to this as sharply as she had. In nothing but a bra Liana sat, watching as the brunette crossed the room to the kitchen. With each bang of the knife's butt end against the counter Liana flinched inwardly, pressing her fingers against her temples and squeezing her eyes shut.

The rapid drop in temperature against her side had Liana arching her back and squirming to try and escape the freezing bag of ice. Her hand quickly replaced Lilith's, their skin brushing one another for just a moment. In that half second of eye contact Liana half smiled, not wanting to split her lip again. "I seriously have no ******** idea. I was on the way back from...work. These dudes came out of nowhere trying to take my stuff. I know I should have let them. I know. But I just got so fed up with it all. It's complete bullshit! We're all in the same boat here anyway. It was so pointless." Tears had welled in the corner of her eyes and Liana stopped talking, her voice hitching unexpectedly. She didn't trust herself to talk any further without breaking in to hysterics. Some people were pretty when they cry, not so much Liana.

She tried not to pout too much when the ointment met her lips. Liana squinted her eyes but didn't shy away this time, welcoming the warmth from the quick acting numbing solution. The urge to lick her lips was overwhelming, though that would just result in a numb mouth. Unfortunately this was not the first time they had been in this position. Before though the cause was not a fist or three, but Liana biting the dust on her long board without a helmet on. She reached out to Lilith, taking those smooth hands in her own now bloodied and scarred ones. "Lily, I think there is a way we can find them. I couldn't call you because they took my phone. My phone, which I had been playing pokemon go on so the location setting was set to on." There was the scratching at the back of her head again - no, a gnawing - that had her looking past the beauty in front of her and back at that little rat out on the balcony. The more she looked at it, the more it felt like it wanted something from her. "Can you ah, do that witchy-woo hackerman stuff? Maybe you know, triangulate a signal or whatever the tech term for it is?" Liana didn't know much about how Lilith could do the things she could but she entirely accepted it. She had seen the woman pull some serious craziness out of her a** and not just trying to locate thee highest rated internet cafe in their vicinity.

Instinctively she reached for her laptop which would have been sitting next to her on the couch had it not been for those assholes from earlier. Instead she resigned herself to an uncomfortable silence for a moment or two. She figured now was probably the best time to get out of her disgusting clothes. Slowly she unfolded herself and headed to the bathroom, kicking off her shoes along the way. It absolutely sucked trying to get her shorts off. Liana had to peel them off and let them sink to the floor. Without even bothering to turn on the light she turned the shower to full blast and just stepped inside. Almost immediately her teeth were set to chattering. That first initial spray sent a chill down her spine. Liana put her back to the wall and sank to the floor, curling her legs to her chest and putting her head upon her knees.

The constant stream against her body was so relaxing. The shower slowly warmed up until it was hot enough to burn away her fears and emotions, leaving only...the lights. The brightest of the gaggle was the one just outside her balcony. Seeing it now, she could make out its shape. Were all of these orbs rats then? Liana didn't know what that meant for now. She focused in on the one nearest her, a small white and brown one that honestly was far cuter than she would have pictured. It was probably someone's pet rat, not one of the larger and more feral ones she knew ruled the underbelly of the city. This all felt very strange to her, and so Liana figured she should just suspend any sort of disbelief for her current situation and wing it. "Hi." Liana said it softly, so soft in fact that it was more a feeling she pushed through this strange link between the two beings. All she got was a single squeak, imperceptible if not for this bond. Well, it was a start. To what, though?

Lilith softened once more at hearing herself be called lily, but she was no less utterly consumed with a myriad of negative emotions that were threatening to have her black out and leave the room in a huff, and crush whomever had jumped someone so small and frail. But what then? How would she even know where to go? Dammit, Liana, why had you been out so late by yourself? She bit her tongue on that one, frowning when she said she should have let them take her things. In the land of god's and monster's no one should blame themselves when they get caught up in the terrible machinations of men.

And Lilith may very well be someone else's monster... in fact she surely was.

The notion that they could maybe find them struck Lilith hard, brought her attention back. No sooner did the girl mention the location setting did lilith smile like a wicked demon and move to get her own laptop from their room. "I certainly can, indeed, tringulate a signal via wiggity sniggity hickety hacketing, Lilac,"Liana was in the bathroom when she got back, and the icepack had made it's way to the floor beside where Kozi sat, putting the computer on the table and folding her legs. Her knuckles were popped in rapid succession, and she allowed her fingers to be directed as she accessed the world wide web. There was a lot of wibbly wobbly sniggity snoozes as her power, in a vacuum of actual knowledge on the subject she wasn't aware she lacked. She just knew what to do innately. And it wouldn't take long for her to track the location where the phone was, strangely, still in use. You would think they'd have turned the phone off at the very least to shake off the cops. Her tongue glided over her teeth, lips curling upward as she found her prey, and their location. Somewhere in the Bronx. Good, not super far. She took her phone and plugged it in via a wire so she could upload the location and some software into it. Her brain was heating up with fantasies of what she would do to them when she found them before she gathered Liana's htings.

But revenge could wait a bit. Firs tthing first, she grabbed her backpack and slung it over her shoulders and pushed open the bathroom door slowly, respecting a need for space. "I found them," she said, noting she was sitting on the floor of the shower, raising her ire even further but not breaking the softness with which she hailed the girl with the orbs set in her skull, rounded, glazed and somehow still hawklike, piercing in their somewhat visceral ability to perceive and feed data to her brain, and whatever allowed her to pick up skills via sight. "Say the word, and I'll go get them for you," she spoke, intentionally vauge. She was positioned to either break into a sprint out the door around the corner, or to stay beside her, even join her for now if that was what she wanted. That was clear in her posture, that either was fine with her.

Liana had come out just in time, covered in another set of shorts that looked eerily similar to what she was wearing previously, just minus the dirtied and torn bits. It was as if she had acquired a number of the exact same pair of pants during a sale of some kind. Or she stole it. But no one really knew that part. Her shirt was deliberately torn to hang off her shoulders and expose her midriff, covered with a simple tank top. Coming out of the shower with a towel being used to aggressively dry her mane, Liana arrived in time to clearly hear what Lilith was saying. She found them, not that there had been any doubt she wouldn't. Softly biting her bottom lip, the girl contemplated her choices.

Realistically what were they going to do? Bust in wielding wet towels in hand, snapping them viciously at any who dare get too close? Ask for the possessions nicely? Liana wasn't strong enough to deck someone and knock them out, let alone take on an entire squad of people who had made mugging their favorite past time. Calling the cops wasn't an option. Her brain had literally skipped over that from the moment she regained consciousness. No, they would figure some thing out. "Let's do this." Oh lort.

Liana geared up as best as she figured would be possible. She grabbed her knee pads, her elbow pads, and even the helmet she never wore because it ruined her hair no matter how hard she tried to maintain it. The longboard was next because it could even be used as a bludgeoning device, though she would be hard pressed to turn her favorite toy in to a freakin' baseball bat. There was something else she wanted to try. Without saying anything - because if this didn't actually pan out she would look like a maniac trying to assemble a squad of rodents - Liana focused in on the nearest blips on her radar. She scrunched up her face and thought real hard like. "Uh, hey guys and gals. I need some help possibly kicking a**, If I didn't actually get concussed and am currently not hallucinating this...could I get a gaggle of you all to assemble nearby? Yeah?" A basic sense of acknowledgement and a freakish amount of movement. Liana's eye twitched until she rubbed at it in response. What the actual heck was happening here. Should she tell Lilith that she was about to attempt to go all pied piper on these thugs?

Okay, that even sounded batshit insane inside her head. Maybe it was best to play it cool. For now. If this hunch was going where Liana thought it was then very soon Lilith would know that her girlfriend had just inadvertently become a cape. "Lil, we have to be careful. These people could be, I don't know, coked up or something. If it's too dangerous...bail. I can make back the money and buy new s**t but I hear facial reconstructive surgery is expensive and frankly I think you're cute just the way you are. Promise this won't get out of hand?" Liana got the feeling that she hadn't the faintest idea just how out of hand things could get.

It didn't take more than a few words. Let's do this was all that it took. Lilith... no Kozi turned on her heels away from the girl forcing herself not to get stuck staring at how incredible she looked fresh out of the shower. She turned a little red in the cheeks actually, but couldn't afford to be put off of her warpath. As Liana went to gather herself, Lilith spoke to her. "I need to tell you something." she spoke as the girl went into her room. She took her backpack and set it on the table against the microwave, As she began to speak about them being careful, Lilith turned to look at her with her mouth open. But nothing came out.

Well not until a few seconds after her astonishment at what looked like an amateur cape outfit. She giggled a little, approaching her and placing her hands on the helmet. She pulled at it lightly, burshing her hair back if she allowed Lilith to remove it. She looked her in her eyes, putting her arms over her shoulders and biting at her bottom lip. This would be tough to tell her. "I-" she stopped looking back at her backpack. "This is going to be hard to grasp but... I'm a uh. I'm a cape." She spoke hoping not to startle her. "I've been looking for a way to tell you for a long time... and I guess one sorta just came up. But yeah. I don't think the longboard weapon is going to be necessary." She went on. "I'm a thinker, so you don't need to worry about me knocking you over with superstrength or turning green or anything like that. WHat I can do is more subtle. I can... well I can learn how to do anything I can see. Like... you know how I always want to watch those martial arts movies? Or how I like watching sports on t.v. and sometimes I get really into it? I've been learning how to do what they can, and really really fast." To further explain she grabbed the knife she had used to crush the ice and, in a masterful display, rotated it around her hand with intricate wrist motions. She grabbed it by the blade and slung the weapon across the apartment at the dartboard on the wall. "So yeah, something tells me a bunch of little dicks who beat up on a lil flower like you won't know what hit them. Well they will, cause it'll be me," she said. She gave a second for the gravity of what she said to sink in.

There was no protest to the helmet removal, nor the correction of placement for her streams of hair that could be hard to manage. With a naturalness that spoke of their some odd days or weeks or months together Liana accepted the embrace, fitting her hands around an hour-glass figure. She pulled softly until their bodies meshed, a soft look of curiosity burning in her. There had been little that Lilith would withhold from her. While there was a desire to be calmly receptive of whatever secret the brilliant girl before her was about to divulge, Liana had a bad habit of digging at something until she found the truth. She seriously spent literal years of her life keeping a look out for any sightings or confirmations of Big Foot's existence, even going so far as to keep up constant patrol on conspiracy theorist websites and even 4chan. So instead of prodding at Lilith with her words, she did with her fingers. Her grip flexed on and off again, constantly poking in rhythm. When finally her girl got around to speaking Liana just stopped.

Whoa. That came out of left field.

Here she was debating on whether or not voicing her concern about her new rat-oriented sensory ability when Lilith just ups and reveals herself. But seriously, it all made so much sense to her now. Whenever they got in to little competitions there was so much studying done on Lilith's end. Like that time they challenged each other to see who could make the best pancakes and she spent the better part of the day just watching youtube videos of breakfast assembly and managed to make the most mouth watering crepes Liana had ever tasted. All of those b-rated kung fu foreign films they had watched together, though it was more Lilith watching and Liana trying real hard to netflix and chill.

With amazement clear on her face she watched the knife flip around Lilith's hand like she was some kind of sexier ninja turtle. A thinker could do things like this? It amazed her the extent of how far a cape could go. A strange feeling of elation hit just then. Liana might have to stop thinking about herself as separate from the people who could fly and crap lightning out of their asses. Maybe her power wasn't glamorous, but she was special now. Well, special-er. Liana had been staring for awhile, astonished and in a kind of stupor. Her face slid in to a real cheeky grin and she poked Lilith square in the chest. "Is that why you watch so much porn? I mean, everybody does it but the last time I used your phone as a flashlight there were like thirteen different categories just waiting for someone to hit play. That's pretty kinky Lil, even for us." Obviously she was poking fun. With a giggle fresh out of her mouth their lips were brought together in a series of short kisses. Depending on how this night went the two of them could be Bonnie and Bonnie, a femme fatale duo of dynamics that ruled this side of the city. With all kinds of fantasies floating around in her head a realization accompanied the notion.

Liana had been through something ******** horrid. She had thought she was going to die there, a belief furthered each time a heavy boot connected with her ribs. The feeling of dread and pure isolation when her consciousness slipped away, when nothing but the darkness surrounded her bubbled to the surface. A sadness entered her eyes and Liana looked at this woman standing before her in a new light. What did she have to suffer through to end up with such an ability? "In all seriousness there are like ten thousand and three questions that popped to mind. I don't want to slam you with them, at least not yet. Let's get through this night first, deal with those assholes and then we'll play twenty one million questions, okay?" There was sincerity in her gaze. With that said and done, Liana would follow wherever this fine a** cape took her.

Lilith could stay body to body with Liana forever, if only they didn't need to eat. Or sleep. Or generally do things. For someone like Lilith to like anyone besides herself as much as she did was nigh on as strange as wild dogs and cats getting along with mice. Was it that she saw the girl as a prize? Mayhaps, but more likely she had further still selfish reasons for having a girlfriend at all. Either way it happened, she'd grown more than a little attached. Her incessant, rhythmic poking threatened a blush from the girl's face. That is until her words had stammered out finally, and Liana stopped. Lilith had never trained herself to read people, but it was a skill that could be learned. And in the moment she considered it the seventh sense activated and her eyes began crawling all over the girl's expression, and she could almost see inside of her own head as the right parts of her brain lit up with some outside force shoving knowledge into it in a language her body spoke with fluency, but her mind couldn't comprehend.

The girl was surprised. That's what she gathered with this insight.

Not even a little bit surprised, however, was Lilith. She was broken from her inner focus by Liana asking about her interest in porn. Then her face did turn a bit flushed as she scoffed and looked away. Her body was noticeably more hot now. "I don't watch any more than you do! And besides... I don't learn a lot from porn... anymore." she let the thought trail off, noting that she had gained pretty much all of what she could already from watching it. She shook her head and continued. "Wait why are you using my phone!" she furrowed her brow and her eye twitched a bit. She'd done it, she'd gotten under her skin successfully, but she giggled a little too. And then Liana kissed her and her brain scrambled like eggs. Eyes rolled shut and she had to break back, biting her bottom lip and looking away with an intense focus. "She has no idea how jarring that is."

She looked back, seeing the sudden gloss in the girl's eyes. What the heck was she thinking about? Must have been the task at hand which refocused her, brought down the rising heat in her body. "I think I can anser about half of those when we finish this," she joked tapping her chin. She walked to her backpack, removing a second mask, her back up. and giving it to her Lilac. "Keep this on. Your identity is your most. Important. Possession. We can... find you something akin to a costume later I think. For now... well leave the longboard here. I'll do the heavy lifting I think." She stripped, fairly quickly, down to the strapless black bra and lacy black g string she wore to be as free as possible. Her costume, all black, flexible material, pulled over her body. Her hair was still up, two long dutch braids, and as her mask came on over her face, she would be the infamous thief she painted herself as once more. "We're going down the back stairs, and out the back door. Make sure no one watches us. Our prey is in the Bronx. Not far from here, or rather not far enough to warrant stealing a car. We stick to back allys and dark streets to stay under cover, ok?" With that, she'd be out like a bat outta hell, running in silent steps, measured and slower than usual so her charge could keep up.

Liana was uncharacteristically quiet on the return trip home. The fatigue had set in, evident by the dark circles underneath her eyes and the lack of exuberance. Still there was a smile on her face, faintly but present. When finally the door to their apartment clicked shut behind her Liana slumped inward and tossed herself back on the couch. Letting her bag slip to the floor she threw her arms over head and released a huge sigh of relief. "Kozi, Lilith, Liana, Scamper." Was it the exhaustion getting the better of her. She giggled and rolled on to her side, eyes peering out from the mask that was still in place. They had seriously done it. The reality of it all was setting it in. Capes, both of them. How unlucky they had been to ever be put in a situation where something like that would come out of them. How lucky they had been to get freaking powers out of the deal. This changed absolutely everything about their lives. It was so impacting that Liana didn't even know how to go about talking about this. So instead, she changed the subject. "Hey, happy birthday my love." She pointed past her to the windows where the sun was just cresting over the horizon, peeking through the skyscrapers and setting the sky to a mix of pinks and oranges.

Liana swung her legs around until she was in the upright position. In a flash her boots were off, followed by her peeling off the shorts she had been wearing. She was left in boy shorts, a deep purple shade that went well with her eyes. Sauntering over slowly to where Lilith was the taller of the two forced her target up on to the kitchen counter. "I cannot even describe to you what that was like for me. You were so amazing, Lil. So kick a**. How long have you been doing this?" Liana was speaking in between kisses, leaving little wet spots all along Lilith's body. They started at her neck and spread upward, just under the ear and back until finally she made it to the lips. Her arms wrapped around and reached for the fastening of Kozi's attire. Liana was clearly ravenous for two things; answers and booty.

Lilith walked into the apartment just behind Liana. She wasn't any more tired than one could expect from hoofing it across both Queens and the Bronx. Lilac seemed to be, but that was neither here nor there. The girl was new at this at best, and her being beat was more than reasonable considering their day. But she made a bee line for the kitchen, opening her laptop after shredding just the top half of her costume and standing in a bra and leather pants. Within a few moments she was back on Parahumans Online, browsing new posts for information on if anyone had notived the rats. Luckily, they hadn't, but she moved her fingers over the keys to make a new topic. She was paused, however, but what appeared to be a tinker looking for a place to stay. She raised an eyebrow, typing a quick response in the person's message thread. Undersiders tended to be a little zealous sometimes, which had initially put her off from joining them. Kozi, on her own, was far more dangerous anyway and the ease with which she could pull off heists made her an easy choice for the Red Hand. Maybe she could flip this tinker into a potential ally...

She finished her message about when Liana asked her question, closing her laptop and looking to the girl as she approached, rays of sunlight peaking in through the winshield with sunrise. Oh ********, it was indeed her birthday! Inbetween being lift ed and pushed back on the counter. She fixed her mouth to speak, but floundered for words. "Not very long..." she lied, breathing a bit of hot air up into the air of the apartment as Liana went right for the the buttons on her pants. She bit her bottom lip before speaking again. "Maybe like a year... two... five..." she trailed. Before the girl could question her further, she snagged her with long and lithe legs, wrapping around her neck and speaking melodiously. "Less talk, more bedroom. Carry me," she said, careful of the still rather large bruise as she looked at Liana like one might look at prey. "I'll answer your questions when we wake up." she spoke somewhat hushed, right into Liana's ear, flicking her tongue over it.

Fun as the time would be, she was lamenting filling Lilac in on the details of her capelytude.

In summation of the events that took hold after Lilith and Liana arrived home and then headed to the bedroom, they were rad. So rad in fact that any actual description of them has been wiped from the face of history to ensure that none accidentally stumble upon them and die of envy.

The world of capes was far more complicated than uploading videos to youtube or streaming your actions for the world to see. After the two beauties had finally woken up and went through their morning rituals there had been so much to talk about. Liana was taking it all in over a bowl of froot loops. Lilith had given her so much material to study up on and learn, like having a bank account that no one could trace back to her. It was so much freaking information the girl was seriously trying to not throw her hands up in frustration and go back to bed. The apparent trick was to keep a distinct line between your civilian life and your cape life. Never mix the two no matter how tempting it may be. Fly under the radar, don't start spending money like crazy. The rules portion of this had proved to be incredibly boring and restrictive.

But there was other aspects of this that were going to be hella awesome. Lilith had offered her an out. Right from the get go she warned Liana that Kozi was not known for her heroic deeds. A thief, one garnering infamy fairly quickly. There had been an open mouthed stare in return from the white haired woman. Despite having been together for like a few years or something neither of them realized what the other actually got down to in their free time. It felt like the curtain had been drawn back, the two now fully exposed to each other. They knew the other so intimately and now their greatest secret was shared. Liana felt profound then, and that open mouthed stare turned in to a full blast smirk of appreciation. "Lil, I'm down with whatever you are. Redhand or not I'm sticking by your side. I promise I'll follow your rules. I've got a lot to work on but I actually have to head to my real job. Promise I won't get up to no good, at least not without you." That had been a little bit of a lie though.

Liana had no intentions of going to this job that didn't actually exist. It was still Lilith's birthday and with her new found abilities there was no way in high hell that Liana would pass up such a wonderful opportunity to get Lilith something befitting someone so damn awesome. For now there was no fancy costume to throw on. Instead Liana took her most muted set of clothes and the mask from the night before. Backpack and longboard firmly in hand, Liana headed out the door and locked up behind her.

Lilith was still seeing starswhen she finally awakened. Liana was up and about it first, which left the thinker to her thoughts, as it were. Liana had been hurt enough that she triggered a power over rats, which made her a master. Had she been so lonely, so isolated in that moment that sh felt lacking in control? Thats what parahumans 103 had taught her, anyway. She would have to be sure to make Lilac understand that she was cherished. The more possessive nature of Lilith knew it was just to keep a powerful ally, but the small bit of her that was an emotional being found herself more or less enamored and attached. She is kryptonite. I have a weakness, lily admitted in her own mind as she sat up, going through the motions of going into the shower, brushing her face, washing her teeth. Now fresh and ready for the day, she picked out her clothing, a pencil skirt and long sleeve shirt. Sexy librarian day, it would seem. She spoke to Liana, giving her the rundown on her cape i tudes and what she was, on the scale of hero to villain. She crossed her legs, watching as the girl are her cereal, absentmindedly allowing her body to do things that it had picked up, carving a very intricate series of doodles into the tabletop as her darling took in what she was saying, the rules she was laying out.

She seemed to be taking it well. Kozi opened her laptop at somepoint, clicking on a red hand symbol on the bottom right of her personal computer, which initialized a VPN, dynamically bouncing even that across the world to keep her identity hidden while she looked over the things she had been neglecting. She was to play recruiter today? Dammit, she had all but forgotten. On top of that, there was a request for some information to be stolen from a corporation in Manhattan. Easy enough. Lilith looked down at her phone, hearing the ding of a message coming through. Luke, in her phone as Joker, was asking if she was still down for the party. She smield, far moreso now than she had been two days ago. She reached for it, quickly responding. I was born ready, Joker. Meet you around nineish. Got some business to handle. She closed her phone, setting it on the table and crossing her legs as Liana began to speak. "Don't worry" she began standing and leaving a kiss on the girl's face. "I'll get in enough trouble for us both. I'll likely be out in Queens later tonight. I'll shoot you a text, I'm planning something erring on the side of difficult and I'll likely need a hand." She turned her attention back to her computer, leaving the message cryptic. To Parahumans online, she went, typing a message to the tinker who had been looking for a place to stay.

When the message was posted, she would leave her apartment. Things to do, couple skills to acquire and all that.

Liana gripped her shoulder and rolled her head from left to right, trying to stretch out the muscles that had been bothering her all day. She was still so achey from the night before. Pain had been the state of mind even before their escapades out in the Bronx. Then their sexcapades here in the room. Now her body was screaming at her to take a bath and a nap. There as just so much left to do before that. Liana shut and locked the door behind her, turning as she swung her bag off of her shoulder and tossed it at the closet door. "You wouldn't believe what I found at such a steal, babe. I think it'll look brilliant on y-" Liana was alone in the house. She had just reached in to her pocket and pulled out a long, thin box covered with a suede lining. It was a choker with a jewel set in the middle, a blue so deep it almost looked black until the light hit it. She hopped over to the counter where Lilith's laptop was and opened the box, setting it to face the door so when that beautiful and bodacious hot mama came home it would be right in sight.

There was a moment that she just stood there, unsure of what to do with herself for the time being. There was still so much of the day ahead of her. Liana pulled out her phone and tapped it to life, flicking away a booty load of notifications from her various apps. She ******** loved phone games. Like maybe a bit too much. She could get so easily sucked in to stupid games like candy crush and wind up needing all kinds of lives or stamina. Lilith even staged an intervention for her when Liana wound up spending a load of money for imaginary phone perks in one of them. After clearing those away Lilith's message popped up. Curiosity peaked to maximum. The laptop was pulled close and Liana stared at it for a second. Its not quite an invasion of privacy because she wasn't going through Lilith's messages. Maybe there would be a hint of what was going on though?

A red hand icon. So dark brotherhood. Liana double clicked it and waited for whatever a VPN was to do its job. It was so sketch and made her feel daring. She scrolled around a bit on the website which had absolutely no names and the vaguest descriptions of things ever. She posted a basic inquiry, looking for fences in the NY area. An almost immediate response pinged back to her. Liana made mental note of where to find these people and logged out. Lilith said try to not have any kind of physical evidence of her capitude so nothing was written down. First order of business was stashing her stuff somewhere and cleaning up again. Liana kept her unassuming clothes on but headed to the bathroom, wanting to try and cover the bruise that was turning a weird shade of purple-green. A quick message to Lilith noting she would be waiting for an address or time for meeting up, of course with a few emoji hearts and a couple of eggplant ones.

There was something she had always wanted to do and now she had the means and even a way to profit. Stealing cars before had been too easy of a way to get caught. But now she knew where to take the vehicle to get it stripped for its parts. Oh man she was so getting up to trouble today. Liana left the apartment again, a smirk set on her face as she envisioned ripping down the street in a vintage rolls-royce.
