Fang City Fashions Owned and Managed by Michelle Yamato. Signature Collection by Yamato Fashions (Michelle's Line) Fang City Fashions has just about any fashion style that you can think of. Michelle travels to different worlds to gather ideas for her next collection during one day of the week when the shop is closed. While in the worlds, she purchases clothes to stock her shop. Her own style is heavily influenced from her home world that is lost to her, but her Signature Collection, which changes with the seasons, is influenced by the many places she visits. Michelle has turned the storage space above the shop into her living quarters. She does have store access as well as a separate outside access to the living area. Open hours: M-F ~ 10a - 9p Sat ~ 10a - 11p Sun ~ Closed If you have any orders or requests please be sure to call Michelle with at least two weeks in advance for when you need the order or request. She will also do alterations if you need some. Must at least have one week for alterations. If you are in search of cloth armor, please ask to see the catalog. must give at least two weeks for order to be complete. Clothes on store floor: Various Prices starts at $8, none higher than $30. Signature Collection: Starts at $50 Catalog Custom orders: $60 - $300 Custom Sizes of inventory: Add $20 - $35 depends on what increased size. Alterations: $20 - $40, depends on how much work is involved. Price will be set up front. Will not go higher than $40, unless otherwise noted. Special Requests: $100 - $500

Fang City Fashions Owner Michelle came down from her apartment upstairs to begin her day at work in her shop. She turned on all the lights and turned on the air conditioners and unlocked the door. Today she was late opening the shop but she had spent all night coming up with her new signature collection. She had only gotten a few hours of rest, but it was worth it. She looked at some of the clothes that were in her shop and felt their fabrics to determine which one would work for which design, of course straightening up the tables and making sure that the mannequins were still dressed properly. She picked out a few that she would change after today to display some new styles. She looked over the current Signature Collection items and made sure that they were still stocked. She made the original pieces that she dressed on the mannequins and then went over to Eorzea to the Weaver's Guild to have it produced with quality materials and precision sewing. For rare fabrics, she brings them herself.

<-DEATH-> What was a being like Death to do? The Nephilim didn't know anyone besides his siblings. He had no sense of real purpose so he checked out the shops. It's what the realm did after all, right? Walking into the store he looked at the cloths. "Humans always have such strange tastes..." He was dressed in a shroud, a Greek style kilt thing (as he didn't know the name), a shoulder guard, some spiked boots, and some gauntlets. It was functional to him. He looked around and gave a sigh. The nine foot tall Nephilim was clearly out of his element. "What function does all this serve?"

Fang City Fashions Owner Michelle looked over and nearly screamed at the surprise sight but forced herself to stay calm. "Well one, clothes cover us from indecent exposure, and two, to show individuality." Michelle to her place back behind the counter.

<-DEATH-> Death looked to the woman. "I mean it provides no protecting. Humans are frail and squishy, this seems like a poor choice." Walled over to her, looking down. Looking down he scratched the back of his head. "I guess my size and what I need isn't on the list of things here." Smiling under the face mask as he examined the girl. "So tell me... why clothing like that?"

Fang City Fashions Owner Michelle thought for a moment. She looked him over and could guess he was after armor. She didn't really deal with armor a whole lot only because she wasn't trained to make armor. She smiled up at him. "Well custom orders of sizes can be made but clothes provide a sense of individuality as well as protection. Not all clothing have to be armor. Sometimes lighter weight clothing provide ease of movement." Michelle looked him over and moved out from behind the counter over to her male section and found a shirt that was loose fitting for the size of person. "Take this top for example. Someone going to a beach might enjoy the loose fit of top to help deal with the heat of the sun from having his top from sticking to them. Clothing can even have properties in battle. I also can create simple clothing for mages and those who don't need heavy armor to go into battle." She walked back over to her counter after returning the top to the rack and pulled out a catalog of Cloth battle attire. "I custom order these most of the time. This right here is a robe made for a beginning mage that is just entering the academy that helps with their healing, to help them focus on drawing upon the Arcane magics." She flipped to another outfit that was very colorful. "This outfit if for someone who is learning the way of the bow and arrow. It's loose but it's made with using leather armor to cover the chest to protect the heart and provide protection of rope burn from the bow."

<-DEATH-> Death nodded a little as he listened. "So to humans Armor is not as preferred as individualism. Strange..." He wasn't much for fashion nor a lot of armor. Looking at the odd outfits some more he nodded. "Humanity as a whole is perplex but they have a spirit of fighting." Looking back to the woman he extended his hand. "Death."

Fang City Fashions Owner Michelle was about to shake his hand when he said his name. She drew her hand away slightly. "I'm not going to die if I touch you? Forgive my question, but where I come from, there is a thing where the touch from death kills you." Michelle was going to be sure it was safe. Where she lived as a child, they had many legends and lore that spoke about death and how if one should encounter him to never touch him or loose their life. "I really don't mean to be rude, but it is just what I grew up hearing and learning."

<-DEATH-> Death let out a laugh. "No no..." Catching his breath and nodding his head. "Not like this no. If such a thing was true, a lot of friends would be dead." He moved to the center of the room, shifting to his full reaper form. "Like this yes." Shifting back to normal and walking over to the girl. "I can't do such a thing." He pointed to the scythes on his belt. "But this... yes." Smiling under his mask he stood beside her. "My sister, Fury, she you might want to watch. Manipulative one she is. War... don't make him made. And Strife.... well he is always in a poor mood."

Fang City Fashions Owner Michelle reached her hand back out then to shake. "Where I came from, we had many shrines and gods that legends began forming and what not." She looked up to him. "Mikoto. But everyone calls me Michelle. I am actually from a world that no one can get to, and one I cannot go back to. We simply called it Earth. I can't go back there anymore. The portal forever closed behind me when I came through. It was almost as if this world was calling out to me to come and wasn't about to let me return."

"The Tree of Life, it's a portal to other realms. Sadly it sends you to where you will be needed. It's why my siblings and I are here." He nodded to her name. "Mikoto, you are here for reason. One most forge the path on their own though."

Fang City Fashions Owner Michelle shook her head as he probably misunderstood her to be sad. "I am actually ok with not being able to return home. I wouldn't have had a home to go to. My parents died while I was in what some would consider High School back where I am from. I went away to another country to learn about making fashions and had only recently graduated when I found the stone that brought me here. I have no regrets coming here. My parents' families didn't accept me anyways because of how I was conceived." She looked over to him. "Michelle is fine. I'm used to hearing that one more than Mikoto."

<-DEATH-> Death nodded some more as he knew family deaths better than most. Mostly because he had killed them, with regret though. Pointing to the bright, neonish, green in his shoulder. "I bear the souls of all my Kin who were slain..." He looked to Michelle. "Your birth shouldn't matter, just your deeds. Never regret a decision. I chose duty and for that Humanity had Eden and it's start." He had help in preserving humanity and after War had been chained he brought Humanity back to free his brother. "I like Mitoko better."

Fang City Fashions Owner Michelle smiled. Only her parents and little brother ever called her Mitoko. Not even her extended family would call her that. They all called her Madison, and it was out of spite. They blamed her for parent's deaths, but she knew well enough that it wasn't her fault. She tended to just keep her distance from her extended family. And she was ok with all her decisions. "Like I said. I regret nothing and I have opened a business that my father would be proud of. Although I do have one regret...I didn't get to see my little brother graduate High School. But he knew my situation. He was the only only one that never turned me away after our parents died. Do I regret leaving him behind....no. He will thrive. I know he will. He's surrounded by people who love him and he will go far in life. He graduated High school a few years back so it's not like I was here already when he graduated...It was more like I was forced not to go by our grandmother. She didn't approve of the marriage when she found out what happened to my mother, but my father stood up to her by telling her that his love will never waver. She still didn't approve but made sure our lives were hell to put it lightly." She looked back out to her store. "But that didn't stop us from being a family. We worked together, and we worked hard. My father started his own business from the ground up that my brother would take over one day, if he hasn't done so by now, but we proved to her that even without her support, we can still thrive." She looked down at a picture of her and her family, a few years before the crash, with a more recent photo of her and her brother in the other frame next to it. "The Japanese are a very proud people. We take pride in everything we do, with work, family, friends, just about everything. Before my parents died, my grandmother finally accepted our family, but it was a week too late. The following week after getting a letter from her of her acceptance, my parent died in a fatal accident after slipping on a patch of ice in the car." Michelle didn't know why she was telling him all this. It's not something she liked talking about. Because her grandmother still never accepted her because she wasn't her son's legitimate daughter. And her other grandmother had already shunned her mother for the incident that led to Michelle's conception. It was only after her brother was born did they ever accept her mother again, and completely ignore Michelle whenever they came for a visit.

<-DEATH-> Death nodded as Mitoko told her story. "That they are. But acceptance is good and maybe someday you will see each other again." He wasn't exactly sure what to do, but went for a comforting pat. "Family is always important, even if they can be frustrating. Spending a few Millennia with mine I know. But family... you do anything for. When War was betrayed I brought a realm back to life to clear his name. I would do it again, for any of my siblings." He smiled under his mask. "Trust me... thing have reasons."
