Jonathan Parks was what a lot of people would call a nerd, or even just a simple farm boy by the looks of him. His black hair parted to the right and combed quite nicely out of the way, while his blue grey eyes stared out at the world. He had a tendency to not stand out and wore dull colors. He was all around not too fascinating to most people, and he rarely drew attention to himself. People thought he was quite easy to see through. Most people just defined him by his name. They believed he was nothing more than Jon Parks, a photographer for Chicago-Sun Times and a simple mild mannered guy from Naperville.
He felt it was better that way, it left less questions for him to answer when he disappeared and didn't have an excuse for his sudden absence. It also made him quite unrecognizable to the public eye when he was out saving the day as Mr. Invincible. Today, though was important. The Hero Society were going to be getting together for a party, celebrating their progress, national recognition and official support from the United States government. It was an honor for him to be apart of something like this. Something bigger than him.
But what really excited Jon was the opportunity he may get to finally meet his predecessor—the first 'Mr Invincible'. He was always a fan growing up and became an even bigger one when his powers started manifesting. Here he was a simple kid from Naperville who was slowly gaining the same powers as his hero. Who could say that? Odds are no one could. It's partly why he ever became the second Mr. Invincible. After the first disappeared, he realized the world would always need a "Mr. Invincible". Hell, one day he might not even be Mr. I.
He finally made his way to the front door and entered inside heading straight for the meeting room in civilian clothes. He wore a button up purple shirt, black sacks, and a pair of plain black shoes. He walked inside the room taking in everything. There were several balloons hanging from ceiling some on the floor, party streamers, adorbs, and a banner even saying "Hero Society" above the table. One could mistake the decor for a birthday party but it wasn't. It made Jon smile. Not to his shock he was the first here. Always punctual he was. It's probably why he was referred to as a boy scout by most people who knew him.

Déjà vu, yet not at all—not quite. It was here where the first members officially became something more than what they once were, to join a league of their own, a society of heroes bent on protecting the everyday citizen, people who couldn’t protect themselves. It was nostalgic just being there, even if they’d been there many times before, because tonight was special, because it was a night to recognize how far they had come. It was just the morning before when the president himself presented them—or at least those who attended—with medals for their service, recognizing them as a valid peacekeeping force with his support, much to the displeasure of a certain local senator whose opinions differed. With their combined efforts, a difference was, in fact, being made.
When word was sent out, the details called for casual attire, since the only company there would be was each other. With that in mind, the attendees could wear whatever they liked, provided it was appropriate enough to be worn in public, masks optional for those who it concerned. Officially, the starting time was 7:35 and supposedly due to end at 9:20. Aside from the simpler decorations, which were a bit livelier than the usual coordinated effort of various event planners, the table at the center of the meeting room was filled with food, though there was space for them to take seats. In order to keep the food warm, the chafing dishes were used, each housing dishes such as Lemon Rosemary Salmon and Eggplant Parmesan to Beefy Baked Ravioli and Rotisserie Chicken—napkins included. Otherwise, there was a punch bowl, non-alcoholic wines, and simple sodas; no alcohol, given there would be minors.
It just so happened that some were early to decorate, though they finished in record time and had time to change or drive home if they needed to, while others merely arrived early. As for the leading lady herself, she had, in fact, gone home, partly to change and partly to check on her daughter like any responsible mother would, but she was back now. Her attire could be described as business casual, but that was what she was comfortable with, so hopefully no one overdid it. As soon as she saw a familiar face inside first, she waved his way. “I see you’re early, too. I hope you don’t get too hungry during the wait. Oh! Also, do you think you can notify me when it’s 8:30? I’ve got a few surprises due.” In fact, one such surprise was for him two if she counted someone who wanted to meet him.

Charlie arrived at the special event set up by Olympia. He felt like he might be a bit underdressed for the occasion. The nice receptionist directed him where to go and he joined the group he did see a few people here he must be early. He migrated around the room kinda unsure what to do till the actual party started. He wasn't a social butterfly and he wasn't too sure if he should go fo the food. He did decide to go for a soda, that he would do. He eventually found a wall to lean on and drink his soda.

It had been an eventful few days he had been knocked out at the football game and awoke to being rescued by his new friends. Having been missing for such a while gave him no choice but to finally tell his parents he had powers, they took it surprisingly well. It did take some convincing to let him join this hero team. He posed it as he needed to be able to defend himself and that it be protection in numbers. Either way, he was here now and was ready for the fancy party. Arriving he was directed to the place where the party was happening. He spotted Charlie and a few others, though he was unsure who to talk to first

Jillian was not ready for fancy events so she just used an outfit from one of her gallery showings. She arrived and knew where to go. See she was here quite often she had made a painting for Olympia and it pretty much exploded from there ending with everyone but the younglings having a portrait. That would have to be rectified. It had been a bit of a surprise for the kids once they realized what their art teacher did in her spare time. But she could keep and eye on them in school too. She definitely spotted the food and snitched a bit, along with a soda. Didn't want to be all middle of something and then the tummy gets all gurgly.

Gabe arrived for the party all dressed and this time the receptionist knew he would be ok getting to the party on his own. He had done this several times. he was finally feeling better from the truck debacle. Despite being a phycologist, he not immune to needing some help himself. At most, it helped him know he needed to mull it over and come to terms that while his plant did break the pod it wasn't his fault he had been mind controlled. It still gave him the willies thinking the villain had been in his head. But this party was for them to relish on their victories, not the defeats. Besides one Loss want too bad. even Olympia had told him he was not to blame for the truck seeing as it was not technically him that did it it was Morgana who had been in his head. shaking the thought from his mind he exited the elevator and arrived at the party, the scent of food meeting his nose. The plants in the room gave him everyone's location

It was exciting to have the entire society together. While Margot had obviously spent more time with the younger heroes, she was lucky enough to have the occasional patrols with the big league. The superhuman deflector girl found herself a little jumpy, in the best way, just by arriving to speak with the receptionist and then taking the elevator up to the meeting room floor. Her clothes of choice: a chiffon blouse, high-waisted knicker shorts, and some white Chuck Taylor’s. She heard “casual”, and that was made her feel comfortable, so that’s what she would go with.
As soon as she entered, a wide smile formed on her face, almost hopping when she waved at Ms. Isley. Even when they saw each other every few day or two, she couldn’t get over the jitters of being in the presence of her role-model. She was equally happy to see Zach, Ms. Doherty, and, of course, Charlie. She saw Zach earlier while she was at the front desk, but he was already stepping inside the elevator before she could catch up. Back to the present, however, Charlie was playing it cool and leaning on the wall with a soda, while Zach had just recently arrived moments before her. She beckoned for Zach to come get their group together, before walking towards Charlie and playfully punching his shoulder. “What’s up, guy?” she said casually, sporting a smile.

She was dressed in her usual outfit for work. A few people had arrived before Halo got there. Mr. Invincible II who she was still slightly annoyed with, though she recognized the outcome would have been the same regardless as it turned out. Olympia of course, ever the mom of the Hero Society and a few kids from Legacy. Though she hadn’t met anyone from Legacy in person yet, she knew who they were both from her work with the SIA as well as the general media. Gabe seemed to feeling much better, she noted. However there was one face, one very familiar face, she had not expected to see here, or ever again really for that matter. Still, she couldn’t help but take a minute to look over said individual with an appreciative eye. She was never one for public ogling or PDA, but he looked good. Really good. It was with a smile and perhaps a slight flush on her cheeks that she approached Erik. “I didn’t expect to see you here. How have you been?”✬June 2nd, 2012✬

Charlie looked to where he heard Margot enter and smirked. She motioned for Zach to follow her. "Nothing too exciting, I'm finally no longer grounded so that's a bonus." He said He had let the team know his prior use of his powers for theft of the money his family needed. They were pretty understanding which was a relief, he wanted to be upfront with his teammates especially if they were going to be relying on each other. when Zach arrived with a plate of food for himself, Charlie stole a piece of the roasted potatoes.
Zach had spotted the food and decided to go for it. He definitely went for the fancier than normal party foods. He knew Charlie liked Potatoes and would likely snitch one from his plate grabbed extra of them. When they had lunch time during training they would snitch from each other plates all the time. "Good news, the school finally will let me come back to to the cheer squad now that I passed the doc test." He said between bites of yummy food. The school had wanted a physical to make sure he was unharmed from the kidnapping before he was cleared to come back.

Blake and his alter ego were two sides of the same coin though each side was the complete opposite of the other. As a Worthington, Blake was naturally charismatic, charming, and had a way with people that someone could unknowingly classify as superhuman. Silent Knight on the other hand was reserved, distant from those around him, disciplined and so much more that Blake could never be without his own abilities tampering with his mental state. His mind was like an intricate puzzle, so many pieces that were required to fall into place and when he emerged, things were different, he was a different person entirely. That wasn't the case here. Among his peers and fellow heroes, he was just enjoying the life of the party as was everyone else, in different ways of course.
Blake stood in the the back area of the room wearing a usual all black suit, sitting alone at a table eating away at what adorned his plate. Every so often he'd pat his face with the proper cloth provided, his eyes narrowing down on those in attendance. He fought with them, worked closely with them, his admiration was present for each of the heroes brave enough to put their lives on the line at all costs. A better team couldn't have been assembled on that day. Blake pushed his plate away from him before standing up from his seat to step closer to the crowd. He greeted the two with a nod, both Jonathon and Susan back to back. "I'm impressed. This has really shaped into quite the team." He started, standing to the left of Susan while staring at the Hero Society banner.

“Nothing too exciting. I’m finally no longer grounded so that’s a bonus.”
She quickly reached over and patted his shoulder, retaining the warm smile that seldom strayed from her face. “It’s all behind you now, my dude! At least you can, you know, have a life—get a girlfriend, go to the movies, whatever you want, yeah?”
“Good news, the school finally will let me come back to the cheer squad now that I passed the doc test.”
There was a bit of a hop when she heard those words. She was enthusiastic as ever; she was a cheerleader, after all. “Ooh! That’s great! It’s a shame it happened so late, though. School’s pretty much over in, like, eight days?” It was almost summer vacation, which worked out well for Charlie to have been ungrounded beforehand. “And speaking of which, I am hosting a pool party on the last day of school. You two want to come? Oh, and spread the word to the rest of the gang.” It wouldn’t be the same without them. After all, it was easy to get close with people after spending so much time out relying on one another. They had saved a handful of people in the last few months, including each other.

Jon nodded. "Oh, it's no worry. I like being early. Sure I'll let you know. Looks like people are starting to arrive now. Shall we?" he gestured for her to go first of the two. Making their rounds to people was going to be a task seeing as the room was beginning to fill up quick. Lots of faces, familiar and new. But before he went anywhere, Blake showed up and started speaking. "It has. I wasn't even aware we had younger members." Jon said, referring to the teens. They looked like they were still in high school. Was it a good idea letting them be apart of this? Especially at their age where responsibility wasn't a number one priority. Only time would tell.
