Isaris sighed as he sat on the tree just there along the border to Tale. He was watching the trails below him to make sure that Issaly was coming home. He tapped his foot against the branch as he searched for his younger brother. No dice so far...well. That was disappointing. The male slipped down to lean against the tree. This time making sure that everyone was safe as they travailed in. Most of the merchants who passed him knew he was from a small group of archers who protected the forests.

Though she wasn't quite done with Tale, Faamy did want to scout ahead a little. With the heavy rains that came and went through Tale, she wanted a little more notice for her next stop.
She was really so close to Jauhar. Oh, this was exciting!
When she spotted someone leaning against a tree, she immediately smiled and waved. "Heyo!" she greeted, skipping on a little closer with her playful smile. "Yeh bein' the gate keeper 'r sumthin'?"

Isaris smiled at the cheerful woman who walked up to him. Chuckling he shrugged. "Something like that. I like to make sure that everyone's entering this part of Jauhar safely." he offered a hand in greeting. "I'm Isaris. Local Archer and Guide."

Brow rising slightly, Faamy grinned and accepted the offered hand. "Quite the ti'le thar, Isaris. Name's Faamy, nothin' fancy after it." She glanced around quickly, lids of her blue eyes fluttering with a playful smirk. "Tell meh, this road dangerous much? Plannin' ta come this way later, 'n sure don' wanna run inta trouble all by my lonesome." Not she was actually that worried, but it would probably be best to make sure.

Isaris chuckled. "There will be others to make sure the road is safe...I'm just here on the lookout for a family member. Doesn't seem like their showing up this way again...that's alright. It means I got to meet a possible new friend." he smiled at her. "So...Faamy...what do you do that allows you to travel?"

So, there was some sort of crew out there keeping watch on the road? Interesting. Concern flicked along her vision as a family member was mentioned, brow knitting slightly. To not know where family was... but, that was how it was with her own family, save for the letters she sent fairly regularly.
Of course, the other's cheerful view made Faamy smile even brighter. "Ah'm spredin' meh music." She did a half spin to show off the oud slung across her back, and then another half spin to face the man again. Playin', singin', 'n dancin' my way 'cross the land."

Isaris hummed. "Interesting, we don't have many musicians around here. It'd be nice to hear a song or two around the settlements." Provided the female wanted to go into Jauhar. He glanced back to the forest. "Were you planning to go in? Or just curious about the border watch?" he smirked at his own little joke.

Faamy's brow rose with surprise. Not many musicians around? Blasphemy! Although, that did give her a better chance at drawing in attention and profits to herself. "Well, ain't quite set on goin' in yet, but I will 'ventually." Giving Isaris a clear once over with her eyes, she smiled and cocked her hip playfully. "Also a bit curious 'bout the border watch, ain't gonna lie. Yeh out here all by yer lonesome keepin' watch?"

Isaris chuckled. "Nope..." he looked up and pointed. There, high above them was a shifter/oban hybrid with a rather large crossbow. "That's a fellow watcher..." they weren't exactly friends. Well...Isaris met him on odd terms. Then follow that up with how he met Obans and yeah...rocky start. He looked back to the female. "Are you alone?" Surely not...a lone woman out on her own...eh. Not his issue.

Faamy's eyes followed where Isaris was pointing, brow rising again. Hot dayum... "Good ta know ya got sum'ne watchin' yer back," she said lightly.
When the question was returned to her, she smiled brightly. "Oh, no. I got Fermata with me." She looked around at her feet, brow knitting. "Fermata?" Turning, she sighed and gave a little whistle. "Fermy, you git out here!"
The little face of a perzi peeked out from a clump of ferns, aiming a stink-eye at the stranger.
Faamy shook her head and gave Isaris an apologetic smile. "Sorry. Little guy is grouchy from bein' hungry."

Isaris chuckled as he fished out a dried piece of meat. Handing it to the female. "Here...for the little beastie..." He looked around. "What are you looking for at the moment?"

Looking at the meat, Faamy smiled wide. "Well, ain't yeh just the sweetest!" Squatting down, she held the meat out toward the perzi, making kissy noises to tempt him out. "Just lookin' 'round. Gonna be comin' this way soonish, so wanted ta see what's what."
Ears perking, Fermata bounded over, sniffing the air for the scent of the snack. He snatched the meat quickly and bounced a couple paces away to eat it in peace.

Isaris watched the tiny beast for a moment, thinking of Dep back home. Chuckling to himself he nodded. "Their adorable. Might try to find one myself..." He walked a little more. "Did you need suggestions for locations for music playing? The settlement I live in has a few good places for that sort of thing..."

Faamy's smile warmed and softened. "This little guy was a gift.. from a precious friend." Of course, mention of the locations made her stand right up, looking to Issaly with eager eyes. "If yeh could, please! Don't know much 'bout Jauhar than what a map says."

There was a deep chuckle as he pulled out his map. "Right...when you walk in. Ignore this Inn. Scam artist. Always plays up a sob story from another patron. Here is a small vendor stall, their youngest kid has a hearing issue, but loves music. If you play they'd actually feed you cause the Mom adores when the baby is happy." he tapped a blue spot. "Here...watch it. The guy here might ask if you wanted to be on his stage...don't. He's known to have women go missing in his tavern. My friends and I are waiting for him to take one of our girls...cuz then we'll just have fun going at him." he showed a few other locations. "As I said...not many bards come through. So, you'd get a pretty coin at least."
