It had been a while, a bit too long of a while, since he'd seen Drexl. It was one of those things that he felt he really wanted to remedy because he missed him. The big guy was one of his best friends! Not to mention that... well... he had a bit of a crush on him. Something that his sisters had noticed during the festival in Sauti which had embarrassed Jerami greatly.

Shaking his head rapidly he murmured to himself, "No getting all embarrassed or else I am not going to be able to face him." His antennae twitched rapidly before he started forward again. Alright, he had to get going, get to where Drexl lived, and see how he was doing. He hoped that he was alright. The last time he'd seen him was when they passed each other at the festival. After the festival he'd gone home, then to the Chiable Isles to say goodbye to Aisha, home again to get his magical wand, and here he was now.

Giving a little sigh he looked around the place that his friend lived before he moved to knock. Here was to hoping it was Drexl that came to the door instead of his scary Earthling father.

Jerami blinked a couple times as the door that he was trying to knock on didn't feel at all like a door... and then he realized that it wasn't a door but instead a chest. His cheeks went dark instantly, "A-Ah... S-Sorry I... Oh! D-Drexl... good." It wasn't great that he was trying to knock on Drexl but at least it wasn't anyone else, he was sure he'd of died of embarrassment if it was anyone else in Drexl's family.

Giving a squeak he found himself dragged up into a hug, something that made him smile, and he returned the hug, "I missed you too." He said, before smiling, "I look amazing? Awww, that is sweet of you to say." He leaned against Drexl's chest for a moment, lifting a hand to give one of his braids a little tug, and said with a laugh, "I saw you too... and then got teased a lot for waving at you."

Looking down, then back up he said, "Do you really? Thank you! I actually made this one!" He sounded quite excited to have Drexl compliment his blue dress because it was hand made. It meant that he was getting better and better at the skill! Something that delighted him to no end. It kind of made him want to show off more things that he'd made... only that wouldn't be any fun for Drexl, surely? What guy other then Jerami wanted to look at a pile of dresses?

"Oh? You're future mount? You picked one out?" He asked in a curious manner, allowing himself to be lead over to where the fenced in area was set up. He moved to stand next to Drexl there, then squatted down carefully in his dress so that he could look between the slats in the fence, looking at the one that was there in front of him. He tilted his head to one side, his antennae giving a little bounce, before he said, "He's still pretty small, huh? That's probably good, huh? That means that you have a lot of time to work on training your baby like I had with Bruin."

The brown kinfa was overhead at the moment, working on practicing his flying skills. He wasn't the best at it quite yet but he was working at it! At least that was one skill that the adorable Miqwe wouldn't have to worry about. Looking over at Drexl he asked, 'He was running away? Is he alright? He wasn't hurt by them or anything was he?" He sounded worried for the baby creature, wondering why merchants would be chasing a baby around.

Giving the little beast a smile he waved a hand at him and said, "Hello there! Aren't you cute?" He didn't put his hands too close, not wanting to get nibbled on. Instead being careful since the creature had a lot of sharp teeth to be wary of.

Jerami gave a little squeak as he was pulled along. It wasn't as though it was something that Drexl even had to put effort into given the differences in their sizes and builds. He shifted himself so he could settle down next to himself in a manner that would keep his dress from riding up, and glanced over at the rather happy looking limbara. He was rather cute, wasn't he? Definitely not something that he was expecting given all the teeth. Good to see that the beast was getting along so well with Drexl though since they would be working together in the future.

Glancing up at Bruin he couldn't help but smile at the first bit of what Drexl said, "Yeah, he's getting really big these days." At the mention of Bruin supporting one person in flight he gave a rapid shake of his head, "Oh! I d-don't know about that... I mean it would be s-so high up!" More so then he felt he was prepared to deal with yet. Not to mention he had no idea how to go about training the big bird for such things. For the time being he was content with keeping his feet firmly on the ground... with the exceptions of tree climbing and the occasional aldabuk back rides he got from Drexl.

Leaning into his friend he watched Miqwe closely before asking, "Do you... do you think he'd let me pet him? Or is he like Bruin and only likes one person?"

Jerami lifted a hand to smother a little giggle, "Is that so? I could see that." So Lixes liked to lay all over the little guy, huh? He supposed that would be a good way to get him used to a lot of contact. It would be best for him, so that he wouldn't end up an antisocial brat like Bruin he thought to himself fondly. He loved the kinfa dearly so even with his attitude the way it was he couldn't really be all that upset with him.

Giving a smile he lifted a hand toward the little limbara, allowing it a chance to sniff at his hand before he tried to pet him, "He really is an interesting looking beast. He's like nothing I've ever seen before that is for sure." He felt really neat he found himself thinking, lifting his other hand up slowly, allowing Miqwe to sniff it too, before hes tarted to pet him with both hands.

"He's going to get big, huh? I mean he'd have to be pretty big as an adult to be able to carry you." Drexl was a big guy and he'd only get bigger as he continued toward adulthood. He'd need an equally as large mount to carry him around, huh?

"Huh... you kind of feel leathery, Miqwe." He told the little creature as he continue to pet him, finding that the feel of his skin was nice. He wouldn't say that it was like he was a nice, soft leather that he'd worked with before when he was making himself some shoes. Instead he just left it as feeling 'leathery' since he wasn't about to be mean to Miqwe or Drexl. He gave a smile as he looked up at Drexl, "I'm glad to hear that he likes the petting."

Looking down again he said, "How big to Limbara get?" He asked in a curious manner, leaning in closer to Miqwe to get a look at the beast's feet. It tended to be that if a beast had big feet that meant that they would get big. He would guess that Limbara got huge if that were the case. He gave a smile and said, "I bet he will get big, hm? Big enough to be able to carry you about even if you get as big as your Father Yaholo."

Looking up at Drexl he starred up at him for a moment, then looked down as he clasped his hands in his lap, "Yes... my last journey, the one to Aisha, it was... hard. Like having my heart torn out... but it was a journey I had to make. I feel I am beginning to recover and that I will be back on my feet completely soon enough."

So they could carry Yaholo then? Good, that meant that Miqwe would definitely be able to carry Drexl, meaning that the beast would be able to help keep him safe if anything dangerous occurred. Giving Miqwe a gentle scratch under the chin he said, "Once you get bigger it will be up to you to keep an eye on Drexl when I am not around. Do your best, Miqwe!" He'd cheer the little one on so that Drexl would remain safe with his help no matter what might happen.

His thoughts were scattered for a moment as Drexl pulled him back for for a big hug, something that brought a smile to his face. At least until he was told that Drexl and his family hadn't been allowed to meet with Aisha. Yet another reason for him to feel a bit sad. Surely as the Great Mother wouldn't Aisha want to meet with all of her children? Even those that weren't exactly the norm? Shaking his head to clear such thoughts he said, "I was... I really was going to follow the Alkidike ways. I meant to take Bruin and become a Guardian, which is similar to what you're doing as a Rider."

He looked down at the magic wand he'd brought with him, picking it up, and gave it a once over before he said, "I... didn't end up having the choice though. Magic chose me and I ended up having to follow that path instead. It... was something I wanted to deny but magic doesn't exactly like to be ignored."

He stuck his tongue out a little bit before he nodded, hopping up to his feet, before he offered his hand to Drexl as though he could actually help the big man up, "Sure! Exercise is always good for growing beasts. At least that it seemed that way for Bruin." He couldn't say he knew anything about limbara, he was just going off what he knew about fluffy Kinfa babies.

Jerami gave a smile, "I'm glad. I like Miqwe too." He said, giving the limbara a gentle smile and a pat on the interesting natural armor that he had on his back. He was kind of glad that the little guy decided that he liked him. If he didn't then he could probably eat Jerami up in a couple of bites once he was full grown. Looking up to where Bruin was circling he said, "Bruin... doesn't... dislike you. I mean he doesn't seem to want to attack you when we are hanging out which is good for Bruin!"

Lifting two fingers to his lips he gave a whistle to get the attention of the big Kinfa before he moved to walk alongside Drexl as they went down a path that the limbara favored. It seemed like a beautiful path for sure. The trees allowed some light from overhead making everything all dappled with bits of light which made him smile a bit. Looking over at Drexl he said, "I can see why Miqwe likes it."

As they got to the end of the path he found himself starring at a little hut and the stuff that was being worked on. He was already building a house? Already thinking about moving out on his own? That was actually a bit surprising. Jerami was worrying so much about other things that the idea of moving out hadn't even occurred to the smaller male. He turned quickly, starring at Drexl at the mention of him building a room in his house for Jerami... or the two of them sharing a room.

Jerami starred up at his friend for a long moment, his antennae giving a little twitch, before he laughed, "You know you're doing it in the wrong order, right? Shouldn't you ask a person out on a date or two before inviting them to share a room with you?" Lifting a hand up he caught hold of one of his braids, giving it a playful little tug.
