Aiolos had a short list in hand that he needed to get in town. They were the things that he hadn't figured out how to make for himself yet. That and he felt that he should probably go and chat with the blacksmiths, to see how they were doing, and if there were any chores that they might need down so he could make some coin. He didn't want to look for anything special, nothing out of his price range, but maybe... maybe something sweet? He knew full well that such things were a waste of money but maybe just some hard candies? Those seemed to last a while.
Lifting a hand to scratch it against his cheek he decided that if he got some candy it would be just that, some hard candies that would last a while. That way they wouldn't be a waste of money if they had a long shelf life and took a while to eat each one. Nodding to himself he headed onward toward town.
It was a place that he didn't venture often, mostly feeling out of place, but at least when he went he was useful. He was the one that people knew full well was good at helping out with various chores and therefore were only too happy to dump their extra or boring work onto.

Isonet had done it again! He had successfully lost Ottis and therefore his Mother's grip for the time being. He felt sorry that the hybrid had to take punishment for his misdeeds but Ottis once said that as long as Isonet learned what to do and what not to do he was fine. The child turned to bounce as he looked around him once more. Mentally vowing to find a way to get both he and Ottis out of his Mother's control. He smirked before turning to take off. The young asaeri ran headlong into a strong back. Rubbing his head where he bumped into the person, his small hat had flown off from the force. He mumbled out a few words before going. "Sorry about that..." he bent down to pick up his hat. Looking up to the person he saw a familiar asarei elder. "Aiolos!!!!" he smiled brightly. "How are you? What are you doing in town?"

Aiolos gave a little jolt as someone came crashing into him, turning to look toward the one that had hit him, "Ahh... Excuse me I..." He trailed off as he realized who it was that had bumped into him. It wasn't anyone that he should worry over being bumped by as the one before him was just a little guy. Giving a bit of a smile he said, "Hello again, Isonet, it's been a while." He said in a polite greeting to him. Giving a smile he said, "I'm so bad, doing a bit of shopping and possibly seeking out some work. What about yourself?"

Isonet giggled. "Escaping a cage." he knew from past experiences. Aiolos was orphaned due to some reason. He missed his mother, so the child figured it would be a silly idea to say that he was escaping his parent. He looked back expecting to see a few of his Mother's men. "They wanna put me back in the high class clothes and parade me around like I'm the good son." he shivered. It was of note that in a special little holder on his back was his parasol. The handle sticking out as if waving to Aiolos.

Aiolos gave Isonet a gentle sort of smile, "I see." He really didn't actually. He knew that the boy had issues with his family but Aiolos couldn't help but envy him a little bit. Even if it was strict parents that paraded him around he still felt it would be better then being without them completely. At the same time he supposed that he didn't know much about his situation so it might be pretty bad, right? He couldn't really allow his own experiences to cloud his mind when it came to Isonet. "I can't say that I can save you from all of that but I can offer you an invitation to join me for at least today?" He offered him, giving him a smile, "I don't mind you tagging along but it might not be all that fun for you."

Isonet glanced to the elder. "It would be greatly appreciated." he said as he stepped up to Aiolos' side. "Mother...I love her for the life she's made for me. I really do...its just..." he sighed. "I was never allowed to hear of my father, though I know he's alive. I'm not allowed to learn magic, even if I wish to learn in case of an attack." he tapped the parasol. "I have to hide this and other things I treasure because she'd destroy them to put something more to her liking in their place. I don't feel like her child...more like her puppet." He muttered all that to the elder. Not wishing to be overheard. He kept his gaze to his feet. Glancing up to make sure he was still in the clear. "I'm punished as soon as I return home. She abuses my childhood friend...then verbally turns it on me..." he gritted his teeth. "When I'm able to..I'm getting us both outta this city...I wanna live outside like you do...she'd never look for me outside..."

Aiolos starred down at the younger male before he lifted a hand up, resting it on the top of his head, and said, "I'm sorry, that sounds... tough. If there was something that I could do to make things better... but I'm nobody important." Aiolos had no power of his own, he was just a random hermit that lived in the woods, one that was homeless when he was Isonet's age. As such he really wasn't sure what he should do about Isonet... and he had no idea how he was supposed to help him when he really wanted to. "If I could, if I had any power or anything to offer, I'd help you and your friend..." If he could do anything he would but he was just one person against someone that obviously had money and power that he lacked. Giving a smile he said, "I hope you're able to find your strength soon, Isonet, so you can get out of the city with your friend. When that time comes you can always hang out with me for a while... though if they know you talk to me they might look for me straight away, huh?"

Isonet chuckled as he leaned into the other. "Thanks, though honestly I don't think they really pay attention to people I hang out with outside." As he spoke he hummed. "Ok...so what was today's plan?"

"I will keep that in mind then." He murmured, petting Isonet's hair as the boy leaned into him before he said, "I will help if you need me to in the future. I am not sure how much help I will be but I still want to try." He didn't know how much he could do, if anything, but he'd at least try! He really should since he didn't have much in the way of friends. If he could save this one at least then he wanted to do whatever he could for him. "Today's plan? Visiting a few people, seeking work, and once that work is done then I will be doing a bit of shopping." Nothing very interesting but things that were important to get done since he needed the money to actually get the shopping done.

Isonet smiled up at the other. "Thank you, Aiolos. You might find me at your doorstep when things get bad...once my Mother finds out what I want to do." As he looked around he liked the sound of that sort of day. A day of learning new things!! "Oh!!! A day of learning new things then!! Are we going to see the blacksmith's again?" That sounded like a good start.

"We will be starting there. They tend to know those that need chores done and are willing to pay for those chores." People that had more money then sense if you asked him but he didn't mind that. It helped him when people decided to be lazy and pay someone else to do their work after all. It was how he fed himself as a child and what allowed him to buy the place he lived currently. Starting forward toward where the pair of blacksmiths had their business he said, "We might not be there all that long since we need to get right to work." He warned him, not wanting Isonet to think they were going to hang out for a chat with the two muscle men. Aiolos found them to be nice people, helpful people, but he'd rather get his work done so he could leave town sooner then later. He always felt awkward when he was in town so he would only be too happy to bail.

Isonet nodded. "Alright!" He was only too happy to keep the other company. Doing chores with Aiolos usually resulted in him learning new things. He bounced next to the elder. "It'll be nice to see them again...and meet new people!!" He hummed a little as they walked. Looking around he saw many things that were rather pretty. A dress or two he could see himself hiding away in. Maybe grow his hair out a bit, keep it in a tasteful hairstyle to appease his mother...ideas. Ideas.

Aiolos nodded his head in agreement before he started to lead the way toward where the forge was located. As they went Aiolos said, "I'm sure that they will be happy to see you. It's been a while since the last time that we visited them together." He glanced the way of his friend and asked, "Did you go to visit the brothers at all on your own?" He couldn't say that he knew of all of the visitors that the blacksmith brothers had since he didn't get to town much. For all he knew Isonet had visited them on his own. While he wasn't sure if that was the case he was sure the blacksmiths would have liked it. It wasn't long enough they were able to hear the sound of a hammer meeting metal, something that said that at least one of the two was hard at work at the moment. Upon reaching the shop he stepped inside, looking around at all the new pieces that they had hanging on the walls, before spotting one of the brothers at the counter. Lifting a hand he gave a wave and said, "Long time no see, Maddox. How have you been?" The man turned their way, seeming to light up instantly, and said, "It has been too long you two. How have you been? Are you here for weapons or work?" "Work for me." Aiolos said, then glanced at Isonet, to see if either of those two things interested the younger Asarei.

Isonet chuckled. "I tried a few times, but Ottis and I always got caught. This would be the first time I would see them since our last visit here together." As they walked in he smiled as he looked around. Hearing Maddox he turned with a vigorous wave. "Just like last time, I'm here to help Aiolos. I kept trying to visit you guys, but Mother always caught me sneaking out." He made a displeased face. Then took out the parasol. "This has been a great training weapon for me! My fighting instructor was impressed with the craftsmanship! I told him it was from here...if you got new business from a really big guy with streaks of black in his hair...goes by the name: Jaggus. That's him..."

Aiolos gave a humming sound as his friend said that he'd tried to visit the blacksmiths but hadn't been able to due to being 'caught' when they attempted it. It really seemed weird to him that Isonet trying to go places sounded more like he was attempting to escape from prison. It was... odd to him but he supposed that it was something that was normal for his situation. Not that it made Aiolos a fan of it. He hoped that with time his little friend would be able to figure things out so that he wouldn't forever be trapped at home. Even just him being able to shop on his own or with his friend without hassle would be good for him. He'd pray to Seren that such a thing might be allowed for him in the future. He set to scanning the shelves, taking in new things, as Maddox and Isonet spoke. The big man seemed to be quite pleased with everything that Isonet was saying, "I'm glad that you're pleased with it." At the mention of Jaggus he gave a thoughtful sound, then nodded, "He's met with us a few times, though seems to catch up with Mason more then myself just due to when he pops by. We trade off who is working the forge and who is working the counter at noon and he seems to show up more often then not when Mason's at the counter." If it was on purpose or not he had zero clue. "If you want to send any one else our way, please do. The business is always appreciated." Digging around behind the counter he produced a list and said, "Here you boys go, a list of some chores that people nearby have for you Aiolos. I'm starting to think that you spoil them and that they leave off doing things so they can have you do it instead." Aiolos stepped forward to retrieve the list, "Thank you as always, Maddox."
