Isaris sighed as he rolled his shoulders. This was just great...he had gone out more than three times in hunt of that blasted Carro since his last encounter with the creature. He had yet to actually find the thing, only traces. Though, the fact that it seemed to always be near where kids played was something interesting. Isaris noticed that the dust from its wings settled on the webs of those blasted spiders. Signalling out where the beasts were to the patrol’s. Isars had his quiver on his hip as his bow was slung over a shoulder. He was debating changing out the bow with something bigger….longer...stronger wood. He tilted his head as he looked up at the tree he was currently looking over. Yeah. Those were webs all the way up there. Seems like the patrol’s already were taking them down. The youth shook his head seeing the light coating of dust. Then turning he started to walk away from the tree. So, Carro was here...so where did the blasted thing go now?
As he walked the youth heard it off in the distance. Wings. Flapping. He paused with a smirk. Aha, there it was. Isaris waited with a slightly shaky breath. Once the wings were right there he turned, no arrow. No weapon, just his bare hands. He caught Carro head on, falling back into the bushes with the beast he pinned its wings to its side. “Gotcha!” He let out that shaky breath when he felt the creature stop struggling after a few minutes.
Isaris sat up, holding Carro close. The beast didn’t seem too stressed. So the youth let out a long sigh. “Ok, here’s the deal. I need your help. I know what you do...you protect kids. You watch for those things that threaten everyone. I’m going to be upfront here. I tracked you with every intention of letting you go back. I just…” he flopped back. “I’m going to adopt kids with someone that means a heck of a lot to me...I wanna gather up protectors for them. I wanna make sure their going to be okay. After watching you...I got the feeling you could do that…” he glanced down to the beast against his chest. “Can you help me protect the kids I wanna adopt? I’ll let you roam as freely as you want...just…” he groaned. “I dunno...come when I call?”
He looked up to see other Nondwi who seemed to look similar to Carro. Its family. Ah, he loosened his grip till he let the beast go entirely. He watched as Carro flew up, standing he brushed the dust off his chest and shirt. Sighing. He looked up again to see a few of the Nondwi fly around the tree tops. Their dust falling on a few webs before they dove away from them. Seemed it was a system that they had. Carro wasn’t the only one. He nodded. That seemed logical enough. He started to walk back to the settlement. Stopping as he felt something heavy on his shoulder. He looked up to Carro. “Are you coming with me?” Silence was his answer. “Ah, right...guess I’ll find out in time huh?” he smirked as he walked back to where he knew Vallen was waiting for him...
