Name: Katori
Nicknames: Kitty, Tori
Stage: Youngling
Race: Ice (3/4) /Shifter (1/4)
Gender: Girl
Status: Single
Interested in:
3 Base Traits: Sassy, Daring, Stubborn
Personality: Even though she is just a youngling right now Katori has already proven that she has a spark of leadership. She's very sassy and always open to giving her opinion whether someone wants it or not. On the plus side you'll never have to worry about her being two-sided, but at the same time you may hear things from the girl that you would prefer not to.
She's also very bold and because of her loving family has grown up in an environment where she feels as if she can do anything as long as she puts her mind to it. She also has very few fears and even if something makes her hesitate the girl will push herself to confront it! Especially if her twin is in trouble since she would do anything for Taaru.
On that note she is also very stubborn. If she wants something shiny then by the spirits she will get that shiny! If it takes crawling out of her bed five times a night as a baby then she would do it over and over even if her parents kept catching her. As she gets older it'll be more of a stubborn / pride deal as she tries to put her foot down as the 'oldest' child who can prove her worth and stand her ground.
History:
Katori was born in Zena to Eresin and Talisia. Along with her twin brother, Taaru, she was raised in the animal sanctuary and has lived in Zena her whole life so far. Truly she has been fortunate to not only have loving parents, but also has a grand home to explore with her brother.
Currently: Just a baby living In Zena at the animal sanctuary. <3
Clothing: lots of fur trimmed clothing and other materials to keep her warm in Zena. <3 She adores really girl clothing that is soft to the touch and full of pretty patterns.
Accessories: An armlet from her father that she adores.
Interesting Tidbits! -Typical hands on hip behavior when she's arguing for her point -Great skill at making pouty faces, especially towards her father

Mamma always said to be careful of the cliffs. Still, Katori found herself walking up to them one day after branching away from her family who were all picnicking. The child, now almost eleven, held her arms out above her head as she practiced balancing along the slender path that cut down into the bottom of the sanctuary lands. Out here if she closed her eyes for only one moment she could imagine that she was like a chiavi and flying through the wind. Or that she was like Silva, the family raptrix, who could instantly swoop through the air like he was the wind itself. It was all truly exciting!
“I wish I had wings.” The child pursed her lips in a pout as she glanced up towards the skies. What if she could have touched the highest mountain in Zena? What if she could go to the moon? Ooooh, now that would be a thought! Taaru was silly thinking he could do all that on the back of a mammu, but even Gammu couldn’t reach that high. He didn’t have wings either so he was stuck on the ground. Which was fine with her brother, but not with her! She wanted to fly and do awesome things.
Just the thought made Katori’s gaze gleam. She could do it! She would be able to touch the clouds one day. Would they taste like candy or would they be too fluffy to navigate through? Her papa had made a cloud one day though and it had been cold and wet. Katori’s nose twitched at the memory. It had actually tickled her before making her sneeze! So silly, papa. Clouds are fluffier than that! Magic was a strange thing and she had to glance down at her small hands. Why couldn’t she make clouds or ice like her papa or uncle? Uncle Kian did some pretty cool shadowy things and could make a rose bloom for her while her papa actually made ice roses and could make a quick fire for hot cocoa with his. It was pretty convenient if you asked her.
Katori sighed as she reached out to pick up a loose rock from the path. Picking up the smooth pebble in her hands the hybrid pulled back her arm before throwing the rock forward with all of her strength. It went sailing, well as far as a small child could throw an object of that size, and bounced down the cliffs and towards the valleys below. Sauti apparently was just beyond that and her momma had promised that they could go shopping there one day. Apparently there were some interesting creatures that her momma wanted to find out there and when both she and Taaru were old enough they could go on vacation and tame some!
Still can’t fly I bet. Pouting Katori just shook her head before backing away from the path. At least she had Silva when momma let her take a ride together. One day she would be older though and then she could fly on her own with Silva or something else! Surely when she was older then they would let her right? Maybe not Papa because he was constantly fretting over dangers, but her momma would see that she was more capable!
Still not fair that Taaru could ride mammu, but she couldn’t ride a chiavi. Falling off of Gamu would be like falling from the skies. He was big enough after all! So tall and fluffy and like a moving mountain on his own. The thought made Katori giggle. A giant moving mountain! “Gammu the mountain!” She waved a finger in the air at the thought. It was genius! “I’ll go tell Taaru that he has to add to Gammu’s title as the mountain now.”
Speaking of mountains she probably should climb down now before her momma caught her. The last thing she needed was to be caught out here again and then told to stay in the manor for a week straight! Not again! Chores were okay, but she had to go outside on occasion! Just like the wind that whipped through the air behind the descending child Katori’s spirit was meant to be free.
And free it would be….well for the most part.

Youngling Solo 2
❅☾ Nighttime Thoughts ☾❅
Ah, the moonlight was super pretty on the snow. She loved the way that light was created from the ground while the skies above seemed so endlessly dark. It was like magic for her. Katori grinned like the little imp she was as she pressed her petite shape tightly against the manor walls. The cold stone chilled her even through layers of fur and the girl couldn’t help letting her body shiver a little. It was a rather freezing night after all, but Katori was determined to enjoy it. More so it was simply the fact that when she couldn’t sleep then the girl had nothing better to do than go to the stables and play with some of the animals there. At first when she was younger she was satisfied sneaking around the inside of the manor, but as she grew older Katori became more and more bolder. Now she enjoyed the fright that the nightwind could give her as the trees rustled overhead and a chiavi or a raptrix’s shadow suddenly blacked out the moon.
In actuality the howling of a raptrix made Katori feel even safer and more at ease with the night. Perhaps other children her age would have run away in fright, but the daughter of the beast tamer was a bold spirit. She was enthralled with the beasts that her mother brought to the sanctuary and always was one of the first to try and approach them (with her mother being present of course...for the most part). Unlike her twin who was a bit more sensitive about things and really a baby at times Katori was the daring child. Whether or not it would get her in more trouble was another story, but Tori just shrugged off such fears. How could you enjoy life if you just hid all the time, right? Her mama and papa were examples of that and so was her uncle Kian! They had lived through a lot of adventures and she was determined that one day it would be her turn!
She was super close to being old enough to be considered an apprentice as well. Such a thing had put a lot of thoughts into the youngling’s head. Well really the one putting the most thought into Katori’s head was the boy who had come in with his mother last week. They had brought an injured mammu to her mother and while their parents talked the boy had been bragging about how his father was already teaching him how to shoot a bow so that one day he could also become a hunter. His older sister had already sparked with magic, or so he claimed, and was working on becoming the next midwife for the town. Katori pursed her lips at the thought. Was she going to spark magic like her papa or were animals more of her forte? The boy was adoring his sister so much it was like magic was the greatest thing in the world to have, but at the same time he seemed so proud of his archery skills. It was just like how she loved her papa’s ice magic yet also thought the world of her mother for being able to tame all sorts of beasts. And to see her riding through the air on a raptrix or even her kinfa? It was a breathtaking sight. How was one supposed to pick one over the other?
“I really dun know.” Sighing the girl slipped into a stall next to a familiar cream and gold chiavi who blinked sleepy brown eyes at her, “At least it’s easier for you, Luli. You just opened your eyes and then the next thing ya know you’re being thrown outta the nest.” Katori leaned her head back as she snuggled up against the warm feathers of the friendly beast, “I wish someone would just push me.” She laughed, a quiet giggle bouncing through the stalls of the mostly empty stables.
She was still young though and she knew it shouldn’t worry her, but it would be nice just to see if she did have some sort of talent like the older boy was bragging about. Only time would tell, however, and the youngling would just have to be patient and wait to see what would happen as she grew older. Patience may not be her forte, but Katori would have no choice but to wait it out just a little longer. A couple more years and she would be an apprentice and then perhaps she would have a bit more of an idea about her future path. Still that was a long time coming and for now all the girl could do was curl up under a chiavi’s wing and sleep the night away.
