Azmerelda looked up at the twilight sky as she walked toward the lake. She reminisced about when times were as peaceful as it is right now."She sighed, It will be awhile till all the kingdoms will be this peaceful. She reminded herself. She then walked to one of the benches and sat down.

 The outlying plain resonated with a pure tranquil scenery free of blight and savagery. The mere gist of air followed through the area gently with so very few obstruction and shadows to conceal one's presence. As such, the sight of an abnormality of sort being rare and majestic, claimed the lake with its figure. The picture of the vampire woman within the marbles of silver depicted the face with a gallant yet cautious expression. The silhouette standing at the rear of this empress of hell was paradoxical to her own. Alas albeit taller with great contour of sharp shaped muscle defined with balanced growth and complexion; the mystical radiance of mana soared graciously in melody as the figure traversed forward.
Bare of weapons and trinkets; The river of black silk flourished from the head of the figure's hood the elven male's approach came with steady stride. To see the Queen of the Vampires among a territory so blessed by nature only brought curiosity to the Grand Sage. Vergaelus had only meant to travel boundlessly to other areas of interest to invest in his study and comparison to his kingdom. But now he would stand 20 paces from Azmerelda with his arms crossed and a steel stare right at the ruler of the great demons themselves. "Isn't this just wonderful? I meant to survey the lands for trivial matters and yet...I've came across the very Queen of the Vampires, alone, enjoying the view...peacefully at that. What brings you here..your majesty? he spoke aloud as he stood waiting.
Maybe they had the same vision for this day or perhaps it was fate testing his very conviction to his own belief. But as he didn't own the land nor knew of any plots or suspicions that could arise at this moment; Vergaelus remained neutral for the time being. Only a matter of remaining reserved and keeping conversation confidential enough to spare any trouble for either of them.

 Azme turned and chuckled to find that the owner of the voice she heard was the king of elves, King Vergealus. She stood up and laughed at his antics while shaking her head and internally roling her eyes." You make that sound like its a rare thing to see, me enjoying something peacefully" She started. "I'll have you know i can do plenty of things peacefully.... outside the kingdom." She finished "I just needed some time away from the kingdom and all the stress its brings." She concluded "Although I could ask you the same thing, since i knew you were coming." She said with a smirk.

Even the wicked had their days where they could freely enjoy themselves without a purpose. No one was ever too careful as deception could lead to a stake of life or stray from death's door. Sure these great fiends were not always so evil, yet who can tell the truth from a lie from another foreign specie? Vergaelus was capable of at least knowing the trials of the kingdom and acknowledging that he too was on a similar venture. But to know he was coming was all too convenient for the Elf to consider her not to be a threat either way.
"Is that so? Only even the smallest group of the tiniest percent know of my agenda and whereabouts. But that also be unlikely that you possessed eyes in my land or could detect me the moment I left. So if correct...Your senses may serve you accurate within a sufficient range.." he said still with the same expression on his face. What was it that they were about to discuss on this given day? He may lack the insight for this scenario, but he was prepared for the worst and upheld the true prowess of his own power in his soul.

She looked at him and chuckled, then realized that no one probably knows all she is. Which made since, most are only known when needed. But still it amused her that he thought she had spies,
She shook her head "Oh no, I knew because I,myself am an oracle, the first in 2000 years actually" She said matter of factly. "Whether you believe or not, does not make it more or less the truth."She told him

Oracle? The sacred gift bestowed by the gods themselves onto those worthy to carry out the will of mankind? These times...are dark indeed...as I feared whispered the thoughts in Vergaelus's mind. He had heard tales of great awakenings for many other races, but for such an ancient divine art to be among all, spelled ruin. As much as he wished to dismiss the very logic of her words and test it; The king didn't need a reason to act right now. But considering they were both at least masters in the psion realm with the very same teachings and study; Vergaelus at least wanted a bit of knowledge on this. Predicting the past or future was something that required a high amount aptitude in order to align the host, channel energy, and perceive clarity through immense concentration. "So you say. It still baffles me about your purpose here knowing I'd come. Can you also read minds?" he said raising a brow and rubbing his chin.
Now this left him feeling uneasy. No matter how innocent she may have appeared; there was only so much he could risk by standing face to face with the opposition. Who knows what she could do with her powers of the oracle. Was it just by chance she picked him up or was this going to be the beginning of the enemy's plan to haunt him at every means? "You see...I too, am a Oracle and I just find it too amusing to hear of me not noticing I had...admirers of sort" he said as he took a step forward and awaiting an answer.

She looked at him and chuckled covering her mouth. but her eyes showed mirth." An Oracle you say?" She asked as she continued to chuckle till it turned into giggles "You are not a true oracle, your powers were learned, trained, taught. While mine were a gift from the heavens." She replied " I came here, because i haven't had a chance to meet the other races. Read minds? no, Immediate thoughts, yes" She said "Admirers? Me, I will admit you are an attractive being, but we both have our spouces." She replied while sitting back down

To doubt his word was to also deny his power. To even glorify her own as the gift of the divine gods was sacrilege. Do vampires even worship? It appeared as the conversation went that the King sought the need to note such a spectacle and update the archives. It troubled him somewhat that all seemed to be casual conversing and not a hint of open hostility aired about the woman. Was the strife between the Kingdoms just an illusion or was there no longer the need to fear thy enemy? This was definitely an abnormality and he would have a tale to tell Ciel today.
"So you purposely lure in races from all over just to have small talk and cease any acts of war? Diplomacy can only be achieved through cultivation of society and equivalent exchanges...yet I see no such desire to achieve any compromise. Our spouses may love us for who we are...but even they have limits, much like the humanity, of what they tolerate" He said going on a small rant but nevertheless made his point very clear. He didn't want there to be a misunderstanding between this and it was best that he kept any ideals at a distance until thoroughly examined. What could she believe he was thinking now the man wondered.

Azmerelda studied him and chuckled at what she thought he was thinking "Why do you think that? It is wrong for me just want to talk someone who is not my race when I can?" She asked "Or do you believe that I always have to have a reason to talk to other races?" She questioned him "Also with the way things are not diplomacy is only but a pipe dream. "
She then listed to the last of his statement and slowly turned aournd to look at him with widen eyes. As she thought, he can't be trying to say what he i think he is, right? He can't be saying yes we have our spouces but even then there are times when they want to be a part of us. She shook her head and asked "With that last statement what you are trying to say." As if it wasn't obvious by the perils of a dark and wicked past; The carnage and lust of Vampires knew no limit. The Queen feigned ignorance and conjured an illusion to deceit his perspective more or less. Wishful thinking this was and no matter how her intentions may be; the inhabited instincts of her very nature would always tell the truth. "Only at the fate of history repeating itself and the very cost that ruin a nature by economy or culture does this diplomacy work. Compromising is much more than you think...." he spoke with a stern tone and then turned away as he sighed deeply. Surely he wasn't the villain here and didn't make any notions that were symbolized in malice towards any ill will.
There was now an inquiry based on something he mentioned within the previous words stated shortly ago. "Can't you see it? No matter how much we may cherish them; It won't make them forever loyal to your cause nor will it ever become anything you can control. For when they fear the unknown and doubt the future or...even speak lies around the truth; Can you still say diplomacy is a pipe dream? Compromise comes at a cost..." He said gazing yonder into the sky with his eyes shut.

She looked at him"You don't think I know this already?"She asked with a tone of shock"Compromise is the only way peace will come back to this lands. There is too tension between most of races for diplomacy to work right now."She said as she looked. She then listed to his words"my problem is that he is too loyal always trying to prove himself to me, so badly that he won't llisen to anyone."She then looked at him"Diplomacy within our own race is possible but with other races yes it is a pipe dream. Of course Compromise comes at a cost, but what else can we do at this point."She asked mostly to herself

Blasphemous. It was absurd to possess the ideal of compromise and still be naive, ignorant to one's heritage and culture. It was more than tension and far more in depth with the very philosophy that carried the will of each kingdom. Agreeing just to suit one's convenience for any governing power just spelled the demise of one's existence. It was akin to her asking to be killed here or waiting for her death in midst of those against her cause. Vergaelus wasn't being as skeptical as she seemed to believe, but rather he sought to distinguish their views on this so call compromise. Fortunately the Vampire didn't have an issue to where her loyalty lied and had unified most of her kind to her knowledge. "I'd be more cautious about taking that word lightly if I were you. Whether it's diplomacy or compromise will never be the true issue. Much like humanity; We too must realize that peace and war are one of the same entity. Dream while you can...but I will set out my own conquest to claim not the hearts of nations, but the souls of despair. With this...I take my leave" he said concluding the duration of this conversation.
Maybe it created more questions for her to ask on the behalf of what exactly he planned to do, but dreaming for harmony wasn't one. To a man like him; There would always be someone scheming or someone usurping power in one of many forms. Surely even the Kingdoms of Vampires came to acknowledge the very faults of trying to unify a system of governments. But like it was said; there was nothing to be done right now but to focus on the priorities at hand. With a strong gust of accumulated pressure from the atmosphere revolving around his position; The Grand Sage of the Elves vanished into thin air.
