 A large lake surrounded by trees stood out in an open field. It was like an oasis within the green sea that surrounded it. The lake shimmered as the starlight that pierced through the canopy danced atop it. Within the surrounding trees there were mounds some with markings others without. It was certain this place was considered sacred to someone as they had buried their own here. For whatever reason the lake carried a very relaxed feel almost haunting. The lake itself was extremely deep and it seemed as if something dwelled within it but whatever it was there was no way of telling from the surface. This oasis was teeming with life and in the night there were calls from all sorts of creatures some even leaping from tree to tree snatching at the lightning bugs which flickered their own lights only adding to the soft ambiance of the area.

 A figure could be seen slowly moving through the trees, a pair of fiery orbs illuminated the face of their own. Surtr was his name, or the ashen crow as he had come to be known. His crow perched on his left should as he strode through the trees stopping at each mound and staring at the marker of it passing by after a few moments. To an observer it would appear like Surtr was paying his respects but in truth the mage had much more sinister intentions. He had come for one grave in particular and unfortunately he would have to dig up the one who was laid to rest. Something Surtr wasn't much looking forward to but something that must be done. Those paying even closer attention would see a glint of metal as he walked, this giving away his intention as if asked to reveal it was a hand shovel which would be used to unearth the one taking a dirt nap. He hummed softly pleased with himself as he resumed his search. After failing to find his target Surtr found himself at the lakes edge. He chuckled softly before looking out on the lakes edge debating whether or not he should take a break and go for a swim or resume his search.

 Azmerelda C. Michealis Queen & Co-ruler of Nightvale
Azmerelda got a message that someone wanted to meet her. She was at first hesitant, but she did need to get away from the kingdom. She sighed and made her way to the area where the place mentioned. To not be seen. She wore a simple purple outfit, and a black hood, to blend in with the night. When she entered the place. She looked around till she saw a ball of fire, and quietly walked toward it. She then looked at him and said"I got a message that you wanted to speak to me?" She inquired while not taking her eyes off of him

"Very true I did..." Surtr said softly. He dropped the shovel to show a sign of good faith that he meant the woman no harm. "I would like to study you... If you'd indulge me. I'd help you however I can in return but I'm sure as you'd expect there is little to know information on Vampires in our libraries and I'd like to learn more." He said slipping from his large close in a smooth motion while simultaneously removing the two pouches of knives from either hip. He did this all while taking a few steps towards Azmerelda to give her every indication that he meant no harm. "I figured that the queen would be the best of all study if I could." Surtr said softly hoping she would oblige. He had hoped to finish his previous venture before she arrived but supposed he'd have to forego the appetizer to turn his attention to the main course. He wondered what she'd think. Would she accept? Would she request something in return? He was unsure and yet his curiosity had been piqued so he had to go into the rabbit hole now.

Azmerelda looked at him with narrowed eyes. The last time that happened. It ended in catastrophe. She was sketpical about letting him study her, but at the same time. She could use this opportunity to snif out and kill any mages still tainting her kingdom. It was worth it, but first she had to know a couple of things" You are able to sense your kind, correct?"She started"So tell what does this study entail, are they any side effects anything i need to know before making my decision. I need to know now."She told him

"My kind? Oh Mages eh?... Well it's more along the lines of being able to sense certain magical properties about beings. So I suppose in trivializing such a thing yes I can...." Surtr said softly allowing a small chuckle to escape his lips. While there was much more to it than that this one seemed rather blunt so he may as well not beat around the bush. His fiery eyes looked up into the night sky as his left hand came up to rest under his Ching as if stroking a fake beard. "I don't believe there will be any side effects. I would only use magic to scan your body as I examine and that wouldn't have any residual effects. I suppose I've been known to woo women while doing this. Though I doubt a queen wouldn't fall prey to something like this. Surtr teased softly. He had been known to be a bit of a womanizer but he figured a queen wasn't someone to fall for such things. Besides this opportunity was far to precious to risk on something like bedding a vampire. "In return I'm sure we could work out some kind of accord so long as it isn't too ridiculous." He said softly taking a step forward palms open and up to the night sky awaiting her response. He gave off a harmless feel though he didn't know much of Azmerelda so he was a bit cautious in nature. After all the bad blood between their races ran deep and Surtr must be wary for his own safety.

Azmerelda's eyes flickered a litle before settling on ruby indicating she was going to use Read surface thoughts was being used. Her eyes's widen slightly in surprise as she thought "he is telling the truth, all he wants is to study me, that's it. Her eyes went back to their hazel color " Your kind indirectly caused an almost famine in my kingdom. As I do not know if there are any of your kind still hiding in my kingdom, What i want from you is to snif them out and bring them to me. Because those hiding were there when it happened. So I want you to bring them and owner of the house they were in. So they all can be punished for their crimes. After that, both our kinds can start to work on peace" She said then looked at him

As her eyes turned red Surtrs head tilted slightly. "Intriguing... I take it you could read my mind at that point, or perhaps my intentions." He said thinking aloud as he began making mental notes of everything that occurred. As she began to speak about the past Surtr nodded softly. "Yes I'm afraid most mages are like a moth to flame when it comes to the pursuit of knowledge." He stated softly not defending his race but more of explaining how something like it was inevitable. Though their blood feud had gone on for quite some time and as the centuries past Surtr found the knowledge on vampires dwindling. So he had come to restore that. At least for himself. As she made her request Surtr chuckled softly. "A hunter of my own kind you say? Very well I agree so long as I get to the question the ones I find as well. Just the mages mind you, and you may do with them as you please after I finishing speaking to them." Surtr said playfully as he stepped forward extending his right hand to shake hers sealing the deal the two had spoken of. She could read his mind more if she liked. Surtr may be a lusty trickster but his word was unbreakable. Should she chose to accept the examination would begin and with it a barrage of questions for her to answer. Likely tedious but Surtr supposed it would be a small price for a queen to pay to ensure safety in her lands.

Azmerelda smiled coyly "Yes I can read you mind, well more like what you are thinking at this very moment. Which is helpful when it comes finding spies." She then chuckled at his analogy "What an excellent way to put it." She replied as she listen to his condition.
She smiled "Of course that's only fair as only you would know what is going on in those heads of theirs. So how long will this study take?" She asked curiously as she had never been studied before, although she though she would have been many times by now.

As Azmerelda agreed Surtr smiled. "Handy... though I wouldn't recommend delving into my mind too often. It's a very unique place one I wouldn't subject my worst enemy too." Surtr said as he stepped forward assuming the queen agreed and skipped the formality of shaking his hand. It mattered not him he was merely being polite foregoing such frivalities was more Surtrs style anyway. "Well I suppose that depends on how in depth you will allow me to go..." Surtr said playfully stepping forward. "I'll ask you questions as I conduct a physical examination and once it's concluded it will be over. It would be difficult to say exactly how long it will take." Surtr said now taking another step so that he was only a few inches from her. He gave off a very warm aura a natural phenomena due to his prowess in pyromancy. Some described it as intoxicating but Surtr doubted such a thing would work on a queen. "May I?" He inquired playfully his hands up and ready to begin but not touching her yet until she approved. He figured she was quite powerful and while if a fight did breakout he was sure it would be splendid that was not the goal of this venture so he wouldn't press his luck until he could properly gauge who she was.

Azmerelda looked at him and smirked "Yea no one is worse than my grandmother, but duly noted."She said as she chuckled. She then sat down next to a tree, since she was getting tired of standing.
She then listened to his answer and smiled "You can go as deep as you want, as long as you are the only person who see the results, ok." She said seriously. She could sense his aura she always could but being who she was, it didn't even phase her.
She then listened to the procedure and nodded "You may" She replied while looking at him the whole time.

As she mentioned her grandmother he chuckled. "Does your race have a heavy focus on family? At what point do you become queen and so on? I assume with a such a strong queen the society is matriarchical." he said playfully implying she was the one who wore the pants of the kingdom. A rather intriguing thing to insinuate and an answer he was excited to hear. As she sat down he move and sat behind her placing either leg around her scooching close enough so that he could each comfortably. She gave him permission and he began starting with her back his fingers moving over it tracing along her spine and the accompanying muscles. His hands her deft in their movements gentle and yet firm feeling out her anatomy slowly and surely making mental notes as he went. "Agreed, although I've been told I'm quite good at sharing I shall make an exception." he said softly and playfully chuckling to himself as he continued. He had started at her shoulders and neck and was still going along them being sure to be very thorough. As she granted him to go as deep as he wished a playful smirk crept across his lips. "Careful what you give a man permission to do." He teased in a rather seductive tone. Pushing his luck a bit as he continued his examination. "Remarkable similarities in physiological structure." He said thinking aloud. His fingers would pause between her shoulder blades spending a few second rubbing out a very apparent knot. Having traveled the world Surtr was quite good at giving massages and he might as well repay the queen for her request. "Any changes to this structure? You hear a plethora of rumors but never know what to believe. You don't shift at all do you?" He inquired as he began to feel out her ribs moving on from the shoulders. Despite her wearing clothes he was still able to feel Enough from this.

 Azme looked at him and smiled "No the society isn't matriarchal." She started then chuckled "It just happened that way. the previous queen gave birth to all girls, so there was a crown princess instead of a crown princes, and that just kept on happening." She finished "Yes my race does, my family has ruled my kingdom for mellinias." She said proudly.
Suddenly the air got a little chilly "Good, because If i find out someone else has this information. two things would happen" She said as she turned to completely face him "One. You will never see your kingdom again, but then again you wouldn't want to, after I am throught with you." She said with seductive smirk "Two. the person who had the information will no longer be able to use it." She concluded
She then slowly leaned forward to where she was right next to his ear and whispered "was there a message in there for you, like carfefully on how much you touch her delicious body, who knows when she might be... in need of your... services." She started then continued "As you say mages are like moths to a flame when it comes to knowledge, and the best kind of knowledge is hands on.
."She said then moved to be right in front of him "Haven't you ever wanted a taste of the forbidden fruit." She said with her siren like voice "And to a mage, what is more forbidden then that of a vampire.." She then then licked his his lips slowly "Who knows maybe one of these days, that question will be answered." She finished as she laid across his legs.

Surtr smirked as she answered the questions it was quite intriguing to be sure. The royal family only giving birth to female that was definitely something to inspect more. As the air got colder Surtrs warmth seemed to increase unnaturally so as if it was somehow pushed back against the cold. When she turned around to threaten Surtr smirked his smile playful across his lips almost enjoying it as she threatened him. "I'd like to see that...." Surtr whispered back allowing a playful push against her words. "Though such threats unnecessary I seek knowledge for knowledge. I will not pass it on." He said plainly just before she leaned in. As she spoke Surtrs smirk grew into a very playful grin. "No... there was so message.... In any case my services are always available." Surtr said speaking softly into her ear returning the same seduction back in turn. Surtr was quite skilled at this game and he would happily play. Though he had never lost so unfortunately Azmerelda would be a bit a of a disadvantage. As she scooched closer his arms would wrap around the queens lower waist pulling her in closer so that their bodies were now touching. Surtr was shirtless so his flesh was now pressed up against her that same playful smirk across his lips daring the queen to continue down this path. As she licked his lips Surtr did not move or follow after she may have been pretty good but Surtr wouldn't bite on such an attempt. He then moved forward tipping the queen back so that she would be firmly placed on the ground. "I have tasted said forbidden fruit.... though I admit it was low hanging." Surtr said teasingly implying that he had slept with a vampire before but that it was not an old one and certainly not the queen. She was perhaps the most forbidden fruit of all, a conquest worth pursuing and he would continue to play his pieces to see how the game unfolded. He was atop her now his fiery eyes glowing as he looked upon her awaiting her response. He wished to see what she would do next. Would she demand control? Or simply resume this game of temptation. Either way Surtr would be forced to challenge he'd have to win. It was a matter of pride now and he regarded few things higher than his own sexual prowess so it would require quite a skillful play to flip the tables on this mage.
