Bio: Lalita was born in the lands outside of the kingdoms. Her mother was a poor, but ambitious woman who felt a child would only hold her back from getting what she felt she deserved.. A marriage into a wealthy family, preferably one with a title. A child born outside of wedlock would only ruin any chances at that.. So she resolved to get rid of her daughter as quickly as possible. Most likely, she had only gotten pregnant in an effort to force some unfortunate rich man into marrying her, but it didn't work, so she had no use for the child.
It seemed that part of her did care for her daughter though, for she left her on the doorstep of a kind woman. This woman loved children, but had never had any of her own. Now, she was getting on in years and with her husband dead, she was certainly not likely to change that. When she was unable to find the child's mother, it was an easy choice to keep her.
Lali would grow up quite well, before her teenage years anyway. She was a normal enough child, enjoying playing more than lessons. The difference was mostly in her powers.. She lived in the Air Kingdom at the time. Where other children were playing with air, she showed an affinity for mirrors.. And just about anything else that was reflective. She always had noticed that difference, but never thought much of anything of it until she was older.. Old enough to learn that the woman she thought was her mother.. Wasn't.
As one can imagine, her reaction to that was less than good. It was as if her world had been turned upside down. Such a simple thing, yet it changed so much when she knew it. For a while, she tried to live as if nothing had changed, but found that she couldn't. As absurd as it was, she felt too betrayed. The logical part of her mind knew it was foolish, but that something so big had been kept from her.. Her perceptions of those around her had completely changed.
She was fourteen, only a couple months after she had been told, when she unthinkingly asked herself a question while looking into a mirror she had made. "Who is my mother?" To her surprise, an image formed in the mirror. Slowly, but it was there. A face, a beautiful face of a strange lady, dressed in finery only a noble could afford. That face was familiar too though.. It closely resembled her own, though the hair was a dark brown and the eyes were a darker shade of blue than her own. There wasn't much else that she saw that time, but this was her first true taste of magic.
Of course, once she saw her mother's face, that made her want to find her all the more. Barely a month later, she left the home she had known all her life. Despite the warnings she was given, she wanted to meet the woman who had given her life.. At first, it was a bit difficult to manage on her own. She was still quite naive to the ways of the world, but she learned quickly. She never tells anyone what exactly happened in the months before she found her mother. She used her mirror to find the place to go, as well as to try to see if she could do anything else with it.
When she did find the place her mother lived at, she discovered that she had married into a wealthy noble house in the Water Kingdom. As eager as she was to see, in person, her birth mother, when she finally found the right house, she found that she was too nervous to approach her. She ended up deciding just to watch. She was able to get a position there as a maid. That suited her just fine.
Although she had just a low job, she was easily able to learn about what was going on. Servants gossiping and all that. She found out that her mother's husband had died a couple years ago.. And that he had had a daughter by his previous wife, who was also dead. A sweet young child who Lalita immediately took a liking to.
As it happened, being in the staff let her see a very different side of her mother than what was shown in public. The woman was cruel and rude to her servants, treating them like dirt when she thought no one could see. She also was trying to find another husband. She found that the grand and beautiful woman who ran the household was a complete and total disappointment, although she wasn't certain what she had expected.
The efforts of the woman that was Lalita's mother were in vain, which only made her take her frustrations out on her servants. It wasn't long before it became apparent that the woman was mentally sick. She got the idea that maybe the reason she couldn't find another husband was that she wasn't beautiful enough. That... Became an obsession fairly quickly. She was always trying various treatments to enhance her natural beauty, to make herself look younger. It was sickening..
The worst though, was when she began to get the idea that maybe she could use magic to steal youth from someone else. You can probably imagine where that went. She was becoming a danger to those around her, but she kept it hidden so well that few noticed. Those who did were the servants, who needed the work.. It's amazing how far a person can go to convince themselves that nothing is wrong. They convinced themselves that that woman would never actually do anything to anyone. If only that had been true..
Curious and alert as she was, it was Lalita who realized that her 'mother' was actually going to try something very bad.. Making her adopted daughter disappear, so that she could use her to attempt one of the nonsense spells for youth. A foolish notion, especially since they were fake, but the woman was definitely crazy. Lalita found out about this before it happened.. And her way of fixing it was to keep quiet. Instead of telling anyone, she got ahold of some poison. It was almost painfully easy to slip it into a drink her mother had before bed.. By the time the body was discovered in the morning, she had already left.
It was probably about this time she discovered something else she could do with mirrors. Contributing to her mental instability.. The first time she ever used her Dark-side Reflection Spell was on herself. A mistake, but one that pushed her over an edge. While she was able to survive it, mentally, she was still very messed up. She has since been able to piece together a new life for herself just inside of the Earth Kingdom, managing to buy a building she turned into a shop where she sells extremely high quality mirrors.. Ones she has made. Over time, her mirrors have found their way into most palaces, due to their unmatched quality.. Little does anyone know that she uses these mirrors to spy on royals.. Not that she has done much with any information she has. One person she has kept a very close eye on is her step-sister.. She also has spent a lot of time practicing her magic, learning more of what she is capable of.
Personality: Lalita is not an easy person to describe. She, like many others, has several faces. Those that do not know her well would describe her as calm and ladylike. A gentle, sad creature that inspires others to protect her. She seems charmingly well spoken, as careful with her words as she is with everything else in her life. She is very reasonable and less prone to acting without putting a great deal of thought into her actions. Perhaps she comes dangerously close to over-thinking, but she firmly believes it is far better to be safe than sorry.
Those that know her well or have had the misfortune of being around during one of her 'episodes' have a very different opinion. They would describe her as sick. Someone that would haunt their nightmares. She is a sadist, showing a child-like glee in the pain of others. Killing? Something that wouldn't bother her conscious one bit. Perhaps the most horrifying thing is that she treats it all like a game. She is quite a skilled actor to hide this from others. She can also become surprisingly obsessive over certain people..

Powers: Mirror and Reflection Magic: Lali is capable of using magic that uses mirrors and reflections.
~ Can create "perfect" mirrors of varying sizes and shapes
~ Can summon up to five mirrors and manipulate them in combat
~ Can effect people and/or through their reflections in her mirrors, usually to cause them harm, but sometimes used to other effects
~ Can store objects inside of mirrors, seemingly within some sort of pocket dimension that these mirrors connect to
~ Can create constructs from mirrors/glass/crystal
~ She can imbue mirrors with magic, giving them a variety of effects
~ She can cause illusions with the mirrors by having them reflect light in certain ways.
~ Can use various spells with mirrors/reflections:
Weapon of choice: Mirrors, sometimes knives
Strengths:
- Gathering information
- Knows how to throw knives accurately
- Keeps a level head even in difficult situations
- Very determined
- Good at judging situations
- Able to improvise as needed/very adaptive
- Good at figuring things out
- Knows how to sew well/can make her own clothes
- Knows how to take care of chickens, rabbits, and even horses
- Knows how to clean and keep a house neat
- Can cook well
Weaknesses:
- While her mirrors are stronger than normal, they can be broken by strong physical blows. She cannot summon a new mirror immediately after one is broken. (The wait is one post.)
- Mirrors are great for protecting from focused attacks! Area of effect type abilities... Not so much.
- She may be able to find things through her mirrors, but she has to have some idea of what she is looking for to find it. Be it a person or place, she will not see what she is not looking for.
- There is a limit to how much of anything her mirrors can hold. It's just extremely hard to reach.
- Mirrors make amazing prisons, but she is not strong enough to trap a living being forever. A soul, however, is a different matter entirely... On another note, if a mirror that a being is trapped in is broken, one of two things will happen. Either that being will be released or they could potentially be destroyed along with it. Depends on how it's done.
- It takes time to make one mirror. It takes less time to destroy them all. It is possible for her to run out in a fight.
- Her mirrors cannot automatically block attacks. She has to actually see it coming. That being said, there is also every possibility that a fast enough person could still get past them.
- While normally careful, her tendency to "play" with people in fights rather than fight seriously is definitely a problem. She could be beaten before she realizes her mistake.
- Constructs and clones are more fragile than their "real" counterparts.
- She cannot replicate a magical attack, unless she has contained it in one of her mirrors.
- It wouldn't take many hits to drop her in a fight. She is rather fragile, physically.
- She has a strange fear of her own reflection.
- Obsessive behavior over people she likes/hates.
- While it technically isn't any more important than any other mirror, if a certain mirror of hers is broken, she may develop a mental block when it comes to using her powers.
- Unhealthily obsessed with her step-sister, there is almost nothing she wouldn't do for her.
Fighting Style: Lalita takes a defensive approach to fighting, preferring to let her opponent make the first move. She also seems to prefer toying with her opponents, as opposed to seriously fighting them. If she gets serious, she remains defensive, but shows a lot more care with her actions.

~ Mirror Portal Creation: She can create portals within the mirrors to travel through, going from one mirror to another.
~ Mirror Vision: She can see things from far away through mirrors. More impressively, she can recall images that have been reflected in mirrors within the past 24 hours. Any reflective surface will do, but mirrors provide the clearest images.
~ Mirror Imprisonment: She can trap beings within mirrors and/or reflections.
~ Shattered Reflection: A spell used to either kill or seriously injure someone by shattering part of their reflection.
~ Dark-side Reflection: A mirror can be used to show someone their darkest sides. They are forced to either overcome their own darkness or be driven to insanity by it. It is surprising how few prove stronger than their darkness.
~ Reflective Cloning: She can create a clone of herself or others by manifesting their reflection into reality for a short time.
~ Mimicry: She can temporarily "mimic" the appearance of another living being, mimic movements in a similar way to one's reflection in a mirror, and can perfectly replicate an attack, or other action, so long as she has seen it at least once.
~ Reflection Constructs: She can create constructs from reflections in the same way as clones.
~ Mirror Shard: A broken mirror is not automatically useless to her, because she can levitate the shards and use them as projectiles.
~ Attack Reflection: Mirrors can be used to reflect attacks back at attackers.
