Of course, the current King and Queen of Nightvale were not always together. In fact, they didn't like each other a first. Although they were in an arranged marriage, they did go on dates, just like an other couple before them. This is a record of events that tells the story of their first date. Their first date was held in the courtyard of the Royal Place, orchestrated by Azmerelda's mother, Elizabeth. Unknown to most, there is a secret passageway that leads into a dining area for the two young vampires. This was so they could maintain privacy.

"I'm sure I told you...."
Robin sat in his chair on the polished wood table in the undeground diner, nervous. He was called here by Elizabeth, Azmerelda's mother, and had called this a date. He didn't like it, and it was even worse for him considering this would be his first date ever. The young vampire had thought of everything, but, couldn't pull himself together. He hated social situations like these, he wasn't used to them without his mother an father these to coach him. On the outside, he looked very out of it, and even asked many times by Elizabeth if he was OK. With his pale skin and worried exterior, he could produce concern out of anyone. She even gave him an option to reschedule, but, Robin decided he would go and do it now, and finally do this date thing. Much to Elizabeth's praise, mind you, which he enjoyed. He liked the attention, in fact. But now was the time for the date. If only he didn't have to wait so long. He could do this, he could show Azmerelda he was worth something.
Even if he was trembling.

Azmerelda Crown Princess of Nightvale
Azmerelda had been urged or more like threatened by her mother, the current queen. And to make matters worse,. She said to look sexy. that just didn't sound right, but she loved to show off her hotness. No matter the reason. so she put on her sexiest outfit, and went to the brick, pushed it in, and saw the door open. She sighed as she walked inside, but once in. She was amazed at how beautiful it was. She then saw him, her soon to be husband. She sighed and walked up to him.

"I'm sure I told you...."
He perked up as he heard the door moved. It must be her, no one else knew the passage, except for the people supplying the blood. Taking sight of her, Robin blushed fiercely, the blush fairly obvious with his pale skin. "H-hi....Azmerelda. H-how are you today....?" he asked, looking away from her. He felt nervous looking at her directly. She was the Princess after all, and it would be bad to do something out of line. Especially since she sighed. She must not have thought much of him. He always had gotten this feeling from Azmerelda, like she didn't very much care about the arranged marriage, and as an extension, him. "Umm, well, were h-having blood today, I guess. I don't know what kind of t-t-type, though, if you were wondering." He didn't know what to say, the witty things he was thinking flying from his mind as soon as he settled on something. He knew he was probably dreadfully boring.
But, maybe she would see he was trying....?

Azmerelda smirked. When she saw him blush, it was almost cute. She then walked closer to him then slowly sat on his lap, then bent over to whisper in his ear"I see you are trying so hard to impress, and for that you deserve a reward"She whispered then slowly kissed him on the lips. She then remained there and nodded"Hmm, I hope its O+ i have never had that type before."She said dreamily"What about you, what are your hobbies and dreams?"She asked him

Robin blanched, his skin going pale for a few moments. She was so forward.The she whispered in his ear, and he could swear he could hear the blood thumping in his head. "I-I wouldn't say I'm trying that----" And then he got his reward, a kiss. And all at once, Robin's face was flushed red again. "What's so special about O+ blood? I don't get it." Was there actually a big difference? She asked a question of him next. "I write, I draw when I'm free. As for dreams, I want to be a General like my father before me." There was an edge of confident as Robin said this particular comment.

She looked at him"You are so humble as welll. I'm sure you will make a great king one, my king."She said"The big deal about O+ type is that it can be given to any other blood, so that makes it rare."She said then streched on him and relaxed(or is that AB+)

Robin was confused, becoming slightly aroused as she stretched upon him. This made him nervous all over again. He made quite an attempt to ignore this, though."Um, yeah. I guess I understand. That sounds interesting." He was struggling here, and she didn't like he it. He hoped she wasn't toying with him.

Azmerelda saw him trying to regain his composture and giggled then sighed"Don't you wish we could go above ground, I mean we will be king and queen, soon."She asked"So shouldn't they see us together acting as a couple?"She asked him then kissed him again but this time longer."Or maybe we could stay down here for ahwile and get know each other better?"She asked looking at him"

"I mean, there has to be a reason why we're down here, right?" says Robin, her giggles making him nervous. He offered no resistance to her kiss, his eyes dreamily closed. "I wouldn't mind getting to know you better, you know...." he said absentmindedly. His eyes went hazy and unfocused, a smile coloring his face, and his skin returning to a natural color. "Ask me whatever you want." As he said this, their server had arrived, placing a tray with two goblets full of O+ blood.

Azmerelda immediately sobered up and slowly got off of him, and sat down at a chair. Slowly tears started to fall from her eyes as she thought of how to tell him, why he chosen amoung the others that her mother could have chosen. Curse you mother but putting us through this. She thought venhomously. She then looked at him with a sad smile and thought. But maybe I can learn to love him. I can tell he has genuine feelings for me. She then asked"Before i ask this question. Know that i didn't want to put you through this."She said then sighed"Tell me why do you think my mother was so set on us getting married?"She asked him

Robin paused as she suddenly stood up. He stood up abruptly, seeing her crying. Did he do something wrong? He started to become anxious once more , fidgeting and being incisiveness. "D-didn't want to put me through what?" he asked, afraid of the answer. "I dunno why, she said I was 'special', whatever I that means. What does that have to do with anything?" These questions were confusing. What was she trying to say?

Azmerelda couldn't contain her tears any longer as she then start flow like a river down her face. She chuckled"yes special Indeed."She said as she continued"She is so set on us getting married, because."She then fell on her knees not being able to hold herself up"Because she can't let her people findout that her daughter gave birth to a child that wasn't completely vampire. but also part dragon."She said sobbing into her hands"Before you, i was courting the crown prince of Durandal, kingdom of dragons. We mated and not long after I gave birth to our first child. Annette. Since my mother couldn't let her people find out that her daughter is a heretic and her first grandchild an abonination. She changed Annettes features to be more vampire like and then arranged our marriage."She said"You can hate me. I would if i were you."She told him as she stayed on her kness

"I....I, well, I..." Robin was speechless. He wished she wouldn't cry, he couldn't stand her crying. He honestly didn't want to know any of this, it crushed all of his optimism about this situation. So, he was a pawn by the Queen to convince the public that her daughter had done no wrong doing? Robin was shocked speechless, and reflexively pulled his knees up to his chest. ".....I don't hate you." says Robin clearly, before falling completely silent.he felt stuck; there was no way he could talk his way out of this to Elizabeth, and he knew it. It would just expose him for knowing this obvious secret. Robin closed his eyes, tears falling down his face. "S-so I guess I'm n-not special, huh...." It was heartbreaking for him, to say the least.

Azmerelda couldn't even look at him and sighed "I know you didn't want to know this,but i believe its better that you know now before we are married. Then later on or when her awakening happens." She said then slowly looked up "Really, you don't?" She asked him"then siowly got up"You are special to me at least well alittle"She said
