Backdated to January 15, 2017-- Four days after this Cordelia had spent the morning fussing around in the kitchen, preparing a small 'survival sack' to take along with her to Corvus; water bottles, trail mix, a couple of Cliff bars. She didn't know how long they would be there, but in the event it took her a while to figure out how to bring them back she wanted to be prepared. She also had no idea what to wear. Arsinoe had been moderate in temperature, the library cool enough beneath the stone walls for the books to be well preserved... But what about Corvus? If they were powered up when they arrived it wouldn't be a problem, at least... Magical clothing at least brought with it resistance to the elements up to a certain point, and given her fuku she really didn't think that Corvus would be a frozen wasteland. Cordelia set her henshin pen down next to her travel bag, spending the last bit of time before Luc arrived looking for flashlights, just in case it wasn't daylight when they got there.

He was glad there was a bus stop closer to Cordelia's house as he stepped off and headed toward her apartment. He had his usual 'planetary' travel backpack in case Cordy forgot something since they didn't know what they'd be facing. He hoped she was ready too. She'd called him and said she wanted to try and today was the date she'd set. Heading up to her door he knocked, shifting his grip on his bag. It would be interesting to see if she could relax and focus enough to actually travel. He wanted to help her though. With everything she'd been through he wanted her to see where she came from. Despite her fears he knew, from what he'd seen of her in his visions, it couldn't be a bad place.

"If that's you, Luc, the door is open... If you're not Luc, I'll be right there!" She should have had the door locked, but knowing they'd set a specific time and that Lucien wasn't a fan of being late, she had unlocked it before starting her flashlight search. The one that she generally kept in her bedroom seemed to be missing and that left her with an old camping lantern that she was now in the kitchen checking the batteries in. At this rate it was likely that her traveling bag would also contain candles and matches... "I suppose it's too much to hope for that Corvus was once wired for electricity," she muttered beneath her breath, finally getting the screws out of the base of the lantern.

He shook his head as he heard Cordy's voice and slipped inside, locking the door behind him. She shouldn't have left that open and he wondered what had possessed her to do that. Hearing weird noises coming from the kitchen he headed that way. "What are you doing and that thing looks older than me." He set his bag down beside the counter before going over to see what Cordy was messing with. "I have extra flashlights you know?"

"It was Papa's when he was younger. I can't find my-- Stupid flashlight and this doesn't have any batteries in it." Cordelia huffed, setting the screwdriver down. "I don't keep a whole lot of battery operated things just lying around and I know I don't have any C batteries..." At this point she was almost starting to wonder whether or not this was a good idea. She didn't voice that, however, knowing that Lucien wasn't going to let her back down after coming this far. "Did you bring the extras with you?"

"I literally just said I had extras. Calm down." He reached over to pull the lamp and screwdriver out of her reach. If the lamp had been her fathers then he doubted it would even still work even if they had batteries to put in it. "I've got two in my bag and I've got batteries for them in case one dies." He'd learned that lesson himself the hard way. "Anything you don't have I'll have. Not my first rodeo."

"Having extras in general doesn't necessarily mean that you have them here with you, Luc." Cordelia snorted softly despite letting Lucien move the lantern and screwdriver away. Fidgeting and fussing wasn't going to get her anywhere, honestly... "I know it's not your first, Luc, but it is mine. I... I really appreciate your willingness to come along with me. Fiona's offered on more than one occasion and there's always Celsus, but..." Something about taking Lucien with her this first time felt right, especially after hearing that he'd seen her on his homeworld.

"I wouldn't have mentioned them if I didn't have them. I figured you'd be nervous and wasn't sure that you'd have thought to pick any up." The ones that most people had for emergencies weren't always the best for exploring since they were cheap and not really bright most of the time. He smiled slight at her admission. "I'm glad I get to go first. You seem to do everything else first without me so I have to get something." he was partially teasing and hoped she noticed.

"I don't suppose there's any way of knowing what time of day it will be when we get there... Or if there even is a time of day. I don't even know how this is going to work. Corvus is a constellation, not a planet." It was foolish to think that they'd be teleporting onto a star. That meant that her homeworld was likely on one of the small planets surrounding one of the stars of her namesake. "I'm ready to do this. We'll wind up somewhere safe, assuming I can even get us there, and we'll figure out exactly where we are once we're up there. Nothing to it-- Just relaxing and thinking, right?"

"Sort of." He laughed softly. "Grab your bag and we'll go sit in the living room." They could sit on the rug and he could talk her through it. "There's no real way to tell since it all depends on where the nearest sun is and ... it's a lot of science." He only knew about what time it would be on Arsinoe since he'd done it often enough. Sometimes it was hard to keep track though since the orbit was slow and strange. He snagged his bag before going to sit, motioning for Cordy to join him. "Could be a planet or a floating castle or anything from what I've heard."

"My bag's already in the living room, along with my henshin pen. I thought it might be easier to transform first before traveling. Does it make it any easier to focus?" She shuffled over to where Lucien was sitting, dragging her bag along with her. If they were going to power up first she wanted to do so before sitting down so she could also put her pack on her back to make sure it came along for the ride as well. "I'd worry about gravity on a floating castle, but... Magic and space. This is absolutely insane, Luc."

"It's a lot easier to do while powered up so I was going to suggest that." He nodded. He had his pen in one of the pockets on his pack so it would be easy enough to get to. "I can do it without now but that's only because i've been doing it so long I think." He pulled out his pen so he could transform. It was still a weird process but at least he didn't have to stand up since his outfit wasn't likely to get tangled up or in the way. Once he was transformed he looked back up at his cousin. "It's not any more insane than going to the Surrounding or being reincarnated magical super heros."

Cordelia plucked up her pen from where it was sitting on her bag, holding it aloft as she recited the words needed to transform into Sailor Corvus. She was always eternally grateful that her transformation didn't leave a flurry of feathers behind. Cleanup for something like that... Ugh. As Sailor Corvus she shifted her pack onto her back before taking a seat across from Arsinoe. "So... How do we do this? We just... Focus?"

He tucked his pen away and hooked his bag around one of his legs so it would come with them when they transported before looking at his cousin. "First you need to relax. And I mean actually relax and not the "I'm relaxed.' sort. Then we can work on the focus bit." He inched a bit closer so their knees were touching. "Hands on your knees and take a few deep breaths."

"I know what you meant." Corvus snorted softly as she settled, closing her eyes so she didn't have to see whatever look her cousin might be giving her. Relaxation might not be her strong suit, but she had looked into a few meditation techniques over the past year in an attempt to make it easier to let go of some things and refocus. "Should I be holding on to your hands? Or are you banking on our knees touching being enough for you to hang along for the ride once I relax enough to take us into space?" She was asking out of curiosity and not as a stalling technique, for once, wanting to make sure that once this happened everything went right.
