Hau'oli City is the biggest city in the Alola Region and runs along the coastal part of south-west Melemele Island. It is separated into three areas. The three areas are, Hau'oli Beachfront, shopping district, and Hau'oli Marina which is this area. This is where you can set sail to the other islands or to other regions.

It had been a long trip for the young fourteen year old. She had boarded a couple of ships, but Isabella finally arrived in the Alola region. When the boat docked and they were aloud to get off, she quickly ran off the ship. Isabella quickly released her sylveon from his pokeball and gave it a hug. "Look Silver, we finally made it after such a long trip! I can't wait to explore Alola's islands!" she couldn't help but sound excited. Standing back up, she fixed her backpack that had been perfectly designed to match her outfit. Isabella smiled when she felt Silver wrap one of his ribbons around her wrist.
Taking a few steps before realizing she actually didn't know what island she was currently on. Stopping she quickly took out the pamphlet that had a small map describing the islands. "Well first we need to find out what island this one is Silver" Isabella spoke sweetly to her Pokémon as she read the pamphlet. Glancing down at the sylveon for a moment, she couldn't help but laugh a little as she saw the scolding look he was giving. "Dont worry, it says we're on Melemele island. Now let's go make some new friends and find out more about Alola" she said in a cheerful tone. Isabella decided to make sure real quickly that she didn't leave anything on the ship before leaving the Marina.

Brian caught Lilly as she jumped into his arms, stroking the fur between her ears and smiling when she agreed to stay close to him. Being a dark-type, Lilly could be a bit of a troublemaker at times, but Brian loved her all the same. He loved all his Pokemon equally, and tried to spend an equal amount of time training and playing with them every day. He smiled when she climbed on his head, purring, and he looked in the direction she was pointing to see a sweets shop. He smiled when Lilly asked if they could get something to eat, and his stomach rumbled in agreement with her words.
"Sure, we can get something to eat," he said., then looked at the lady behind the counter. "We'll take six malasadas, please." The lady nodded, and Brian paid her for the sweets before taking the bag she handed to him, then walked over to a nearby bench and sat down. Setting the bag on the bench next to him, he pulled three pokeballs from his belt and tossed them in the air, calling Stinger, Lightwing and Fluffy out so they could eat, as well. "Here ye go, guys," he said, handing each of his pokemon a malasada before taking the last one for himself. He smiled as he bit into the fried food, enjoying the taste. As they ate, he looked around at their surroundings, wondering where they should start.

After making sure she had everything of her in her backpack, she decided it was time to go. Looking down at her pamphlet that she had on Alola, Isabella read it as she began to walk. "It says here that the Pokémon lab is thi-" Isabella stopped talking as she suddenly tripped over a Pokémon. Isabella braced herself for hitting the ground, but was suddenly caught just before doing a face plant against the pavement. Looking back, she saw that Silver had caught her with his ribbons and that she had tripped over someone's pachirisu. "I-I'm so sor-sorry for tripping over your Pokémon" she quickly replied as she got up, turning around to the trainer. Isabella then realized that it was a boy around her age, which made her even more embarrassed. "I-I um....I was just trying to figure out where the Pokémon lab here was" Isabella spoke quietly as she quickly looked down at the pamphlet still in her hands. Her sylveon had sat down by her side and waited for its trainer to remember what they were doing.
Lilly saw Isabella trip over Fluffy, and went right over to the electric squirrel pokemon, helping her up, and noticing her Malasada was all over the ground. Being the sweetheart she was, she offered fluffy half of hers, not having taken a bite out of it yet. Once Fluffy happily took the equal half of the purrloin's food, Lilly smiled and sat next to Fluffy purring as she ate her half happily. Lily always looked at Fluffy as her sister in a way, and as such, was always looking out for her and anyone else on their team. Once Lilly finished her half of her food, she went over to Brian and hopped into his lap, looking at Isabella saying "Purrloin Purr!" (No harm done.) as she smiled sitting in her trainer's lap, trying to look cute.

Brian was in the process of finishing his malasada when he heard someone's voice approaching them, and when he looked up, he noticed that a young girl, who appeared to be about his age, had tripped over Fluffy, who was now sprawled on the ground with her malasada squashed. He watched, smiling, as Lilly offered half of her own malasada to Fluffy, who took it with a smile and began to eat hungrily, then turned his attention back to the girl who'd tripped over Fluffy. "No harm done, miss," he said. "Fluffy is pretty resilient, so she'll be alright. Right, Fluffy?"
"Pachi!" the electric squirrel said, waving her blue-and-white tail in the air happily. Having finished her half of Lilly's malasada, the Pachirisu approached Isabella and sniffed her curiously before sitting in front of her and tilting her head to the side. "Risu Pachirisu?" she asked. "Fluffy wants to know if ye're alright," Brian translated. "I'm Brian, by the way, and this is my team. Ye've already met Fluffy, Lilly is the Purrloin sitting on my lap, Stinger is my Beedrill, Lightwing is my Starly, and Blaze is my Chimchar." He stroked Lilly's head as he spoke, knowing the Purrloin enjoyed it when he did this.

Isabella couldn't help but smile when she saw the Purrloin give half of her malasada to the Pokémon she tripped over. She was happy to see she hadn't injured or upset the small Pokémon and that it was fine. But her attention went to the male as she heard him speak to her. When Brian said that his pachirisu asked if she was fine, she couldn't help but give a bright friendly smile towards the group. "I-I'm just fine, thanks to Silver over here" she introduced her Pokémon with a cheerful tone. "Your pokemon are all so cute! I haven't seen a purrloin in so long, I forgot how adorable they are" Isabella gushed over the purrloin and the other Pokémon for a few moments. She had seen all different kinds while growing up to two Pokémon breeders, so she wasn't all that surprised to see so many different ones. "Oh sorry for my terrible manners! I'm Isabella Storm and I'm from the Hoenn region" her voice went back to being quiet as she spoke. Isabella gave a smile towards Brian before blushing, she wasn't used to talking to boys her own age.
"So why did you come to Alola Brian? I'm here to try and beat the island challenge, though I'm not sure where the Pokémon lab is" a small giggle left her lips as she spoke to him. Isabella then looked down at her Sylveon and gave him a small smile. He seemed to be interested in playing with all of Brian's Pokémon though.
Lilly purred as Brian pet her head, before a happy smile came on her face at what Isabella was saying. She jumped off of Brian's lap, and did something she rarely did with anyone else, she began to rub against Isabella's leg, purring as if she wanted the girl to hold and cuddle with her. She rarely ever did this for anyone but Brian. Lily then proceeded to say "Purrloin Loin Purr! ((I like her!)) as she looked over at Brian happily, purring softly as she climbed onto Isabella's shoulders and nuzzled her cheek.

Brian nodded when Isabella said she was alright, thanks to Silver, her Sylveon, and smiled as Lilly purred while he petted her head, but he was caught off guard by what happened next. Before he knew what was happening, Lilly had jumped off his lap and approached Isabella, then began to rub against the girl's leg, purring in a way that she only ever did for him. When Isabella picked the Purrloin up, Lilly looked at Brian and spoke, then climbed up onto Isabella's shoulders and nuzzled the girl's cheek.
The look of utter surprise on Brian's face caused the rest of his pokemon to start laughing, and the young trainer glanced at them, then looked at Isabella again. "I apologize if I spaced out for a moment," he said. "I'm just astounded that Lilly approached ye like that. Besides me, she's only ever done that for my mama, so it's a bit of a surprise to see Lilly show such affection to someone she's just met. As for why I'm here, I'm also planning to take on the Island Challenge, but I'd like to do the Challenge on all four Islands."

"The island challenge, huh?" a short laugh erupted from behind the two trainers, the source being a rather tall young man standing in front of a Haxorus. He was dressed like a tourist, a tropical floral print button-up short sleeve shirt and baggy cargo shorts, a well-worn bag slung over his right shoulder. He nodded at them as he stepped forward. "You look pretty tough, kid. No doubt you'll do fine, if you don't mind my saying. Nice to meet you both," he said, a wide grin on his face. "My name is Jake. This here is Wyrm," he said, gesturing at the Haxorus behind him. It gave a rough snort, eyeing up the two trainers and their Pokemon before giving a solid grunt. Obviously it wasn't impressed.
"Don't mind him, he's just grumpy that I haven't gone to the Battle Tree yet. It's day three, I keep telling him. We're supposed to be on vacation, take a break from battles. But my whole team, save one, is on his side." he chuckled, then gave a shrug. Wyrm glared at the back of his head, but Jake paid him no mind. "Say, if you're both doing the island challenge, why not go together? I'm sure you could learn a lot from each other. Maybe I'll tag along too, to watch. And if you need any pointers, I'll be glad to help- I've been battling quite a while myself. To prove his point, he pulled up the flap of his bag to reveal a plethora of badges- the Kanto league, the Sinnoh league, and the Unova league all there, as well as an Honorable Mention ribbon from the champion of the Unova region. The badges sparkled in the bright Alolan sunlight, and Jake's grin matched them. "So, whadda ya say?"

Brian didn't flinch when a voice and a short laugh sounded behind him and Isabella, and he turned to see a young man standing in front of a Haxorus. He returned the young man's nod, looking his Haxorus up and down for a moment before turning his attention back to the young man, who had introduced himself as Jake and his Haxorus as Wyrm. "It's nice to meet ye, Jake, Wyrm," Brian said. "I'm Brian, and this is Isabella. Wyrm looks strong, how long have ye been together?"
He watched as Jake pulled up the flap of his bag and revealed three sets of badges, and his eyes widened when he saw the badges from his home region of Sinnoh. "Ye've challenged the Sinnoh League, haven't ye?" he asked, glancing at Jake. "As far as Isabella and I doing the Island Challenge together, I think that's a great idea. It would give us both a chance to see how the other battles. What d'ye think, Isabella? Would ye like to do the Island Challenge together?"

Isabella smiled when she felt the purloin rub against her legs, bending down to pick up the small Pokémon. She began to pet Lilly in the spots she knew purloins liked to be pet. Though she was enjoying the pokemons cuddles, she wondered why her trainer was so quiet. Blushing when Brian finally spoke, she was a little taken back but she wasn't surprise. "Really? I've never really had a Pokémon not like me" Isabella spoke with a sweet smile as she pet Lilly. It was like pokemon could sense the females good nature and that she cared deeply for everyone. Isabella was happy to hear that Brian was in fact here to do the island challenge as well, so maybe he could help her find the Pokémon lab here.
Suddenly a loud laugh could be heard from behind them, causing Isabella to jump a little. Turning to the male that approached her and Brian, she wondered what he found so funny. But soon the man introduced himself and his somewhat grumpy Pokémon. She took note that he had a dragon type, which didn't surprise her when the other mentioned he was grumpy from not battling. Isabella was going to introduce herself but Brian already did that for her. So she stood there quietly as she petted Lilly and listened to the two males chat. It wasn't until Brian turned to her and agreed with Jake that they both should do the islands challenge together. "Sounds like an adventure to me, so yes let's do the island challenge together" Isabella spoke with a friendly smile as she looked at Brian. It was odd, but she felt happy to be doing this challenge with someone else.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw her Sylveon run passed her before catching him right before he was going to hug Wyrm with his ribbons. "Remember Silver dragon types and fairy types don't necessarily get along right away" Isabella warned her Pokémon gently. Letting go of the sylveon, she couldn't help but laugh a little as she saw the other pout at her for stopping him from hugging the older males Pokémon. "Sorry about that, Silver here just loves everyone he meets and enjoys giving out hugs" she apologized to Jake and Wyrm just in case her Pokémon spooked his a little. Making sure she didn't knock Lilly off her shoulders, she hoped she wasn't upset with her. "So I say we go to the Pokémon lab and pay the professor a visit" Isabella suggested since that's normally where people go to start something like this.

Brian smiled as Isabella picked Lilly up, petting the Purrloin in places most Purrloins liked to be petted, and he could hear the Pokemon purring contentedly. He shook his head when she seemed a bit taken aback by his words. "It's not ye, 'tis just strange for her to show such affection to someone she's just met," he said. "She didn't even like me, at first, but now she's one of my most loyal Pokemon, and a good friend." He smiled at the Purrloin as he spoke, knowing how affectionate Lilly was with him.
The young trainer couldn't help smiling when she agreed to do the Island Challenge with him, and he knew they would have fun doing so. He noticed Isabella's Sylveon, Silver, run past her, but he was stopped by Isabella, then told that fairy types and dragon types didn't necessarily get along right away. He couldn't help but chuckle as the fairy-type seemed to pout at Isabella for stopping him. He noticed that Lilly hadn't fallen from the girl's shoulders, though the Purrloin had always had good balance, so it wasn't really surprising. Brian nodded when Isabella suggested visiting the Pokemon lab and paying the Professor a visit. "I agree," he said. "I'd like to see what the starters are here in the Alola region. Jake, would ye like to come with us?"

Lilly The Purrloin
Lilly purred contently as Isabella pet her in spots that most purrloin love to be pet. She then licked Isabella's cheek, sweetly. Other than Brian, she rarely gave anyone kisses. Lilly purred as she was pet, staying on Isabella's shoulders happily. She had a smile on her little face as she looked at Brian happily hearing that Isabella would be coming with them on the Island Challenges. She hugged Isabella happily glad she would be staying with them.
