A constant challenge that presented itself to Aptera was the exercise of maintaining alertness when her thoughts were quite insistent on pondering about various aspects of this magical war. What were the reasons behind the criminal activity? Why drain energy? Why were starseeds being taken? However, information was not a resource easily obtained in war. War was layers and layers of complications.
Still, it was a possibility that puzzle pieces of information could slip and be gathered during encounters and, yes, of course, war encounters could include talking or fighting or both perhaps. And at this point, Aptera was now more willing to take such risks in endeavoring to gain any gradual step of further understanding of all this.
She was practically just a leap away from her intended destination: a building under construction that she had heard about and that she thought may have been considered an option for a hideout in relation the magical war. She discovered though that it was nearly bare bones, only at the starting phase of being built. She noted, too, that beside the skeleton of the planned establishment was a fenced clearing, perhaps the purpose of that lot had yet to be determined.
Her attention was drawn from her survey of the area to focus on a power signature nearing her location.
She jumped, vacating her perch on a tree branch and landed a number of feet from the power signature's source before proceeding to ask, "Who are you looking to fight?"
Then, just before another jump, she said, "And, if you really want to fight, you can fight me over here."
Aptera landed in the premises of the aforementioned fenced clearing and waited as she faced the direction of the senshi she encountered. How would the immediate stretch of time ahead develop?
Aptera had somehow been doing so much thinking, so much wondering, so much contemplating, which included such a thought as this: She and others like her who were involved in this magical war may benefit from more growth in battle skills.
