Alphard liked bowling. But not by much. He hardly knew the game, but on a late cold night when he had nothing better to do it sounded fun. Sadly, the local place was closed so he'd made due. Make due meaning set up a bunch of trash bins on a street and throw a bowling ball he'd 'liberated' from a bowling alley a scant few hours ago just for exactly this reason.
Hobo bowling, really, the kind of game you only did when desperate or bored of both. And Alphard was feeling a bit of both, noise he was making aside.

So far, today as well, her patrol was met with silence for the most part, having included only the occasional observation of a bout of road rage and the like up to this point.
However, it was also one of those days when memories of greater turmoil revisited her, and not necessarily all magical.
At present, more specifically in the last hour or two, she had to mentally continue to give herself periodic reminders that she was not currently in the middle of past experiences of hostility right now, youma were not threatening her, standing in the way of reaching the portal back to Destiny City, and so on.
And where the present was concerned, she seemed to be effortlessly drawn to trees filled with birds lately. She gave a group a scare, and if she were more honest with herself then she'd admit that the scare was mutual, when she landed in the branches of a tree. On the flip side, she was pulled out of grim recollections at that moment.
A moment though was all it was. Aptera had promptly jumped away from the tree as the startled birds were taking flight in a hurry all at once, too.
She landed on the empty street. Except, a pivot and one step put her 2 feet from someone. The street was not empty.
She drew in a sharp intake of air as she reversed the step she had taken, reflexes seemingly taking over in her tense and frantic state of mind. Had someone been tailing her to catch her off guard for an attack of some sort?
With a punch and then another, she summoned her squire magic, creating a barrier that pushed out at a radius of 4 feet around her. A part of her mind was aware from drills that there was some fashion of a limit to her ability to use her magic in a period of time, so for the next handful of seconds she was intent on keeping this barrier and her fists up as she willed her thoughts to grasp her predicament right now.
Level 2: Aptera's bracers glow and she forward punches to create a magic circle in front of her, and then she punches again to activate the magic. This summons a heavy globe (8ft diameter) that, tying into Castor's power theme of force, pushes anything and anyone away from her without discrimination. Inside the globe, a hailstorm rages, giving her the mass she needs to force attacks away (the hailstorm inside is visual and may be cold but provides no damage or bonus effects). The globe follows her movements and will exert a force of equal power (up to her own level) on anything that it comes into contact with. This will repel any weapons or magic her rank, but higher ranked weapons or magic can break the globe and she will need to resummon it. The globe does not reflect the magic (it cannot be redirected to harm anyone else) but forcibly stops the attack before it can hit Aptera. The globe can be channeled for a total of thirty seconds. If it is broken, she can resummon it within a few seconds and continue channeling.

Eeeeeee thank u for the battles Vampsu <3 8 D
I just got back from taekwondo class wherein I got to spar with my new armor-ish gear for the first time fuuuuns ahaha >u<
I has to get this first course assignment of my final semester submitted tonight so I've saved our Spacewatch/Aptera battle and shall tag back in it asap as well f*u*f
Being jumped was not new to Alphard sadly. Sometimes it happened because you dealt in the wrong place and at the wrong time. Sometimes it was just to send a message. Often it was because he looked like an easy target, (to which he was usually given that he just was a piss shot fighter), and maybe had some cash. But getting jumped on, or rather hit with fists then magic? This was new. His first reaction was to protect his chest and the second he felt the opening, that window of opportunity?
"Veil of Twilight!" Magic cast he backed away frantically from whoever had attacked him.
"The hell was that for?" He didn't feel any weird chaos so what the hell of who the hell had he pissed off this time?

There was a spell said aloud? And then there was a question. The question had convinced Aptera to dismiss the barrier she made while continuing to further analyze the situation at hand. However, a light flashed shortly after that which had her bringing her arms over her eyes protectively. She managed to stay standing though and with another two punches, promptly summoned the barrier around herself again.
"Contrary to my initial actions during this encounter," Aptera began, consciously projecting her voice, "A spar is the extent of what I would request of this meeting with you." She then dismissed the barrier she created again. This darkness would wear off, right? Furthermore, she remained where she stood with fists raised in a sparring stance, eyes closed and then opened at intervals, checking and hoping for when her vision returned (preferably sooner rather than later) as she willed herself to still endeavor to be as aware as she could of what she could grasp of what was currently transpiring while lacking visual cues.
She continued to speak with a continued aim at a degree of honesty and careful selection of words, "I am sensing now that you give off a mark of power belonging to someone of order and that I reckon I missed while lost in thought. My first strike was with an intention of self-defense. So, how about these circumstances now being a spar between us? Because if you're game to spar with me, I'm game to spar with you."
Aptera's back foot lifted slightly from the ground. As far as she was concerned, anything was possible. For instance, bloodthirsty agendas were possible between those on the same or different sides. So while in these current moments she listened for a response and shifts around her, she also ran through her options of possible actions before and after her vision was restored.
Scrambling until he figured out that no, he wasn't under threat, Alphard took a while to right himself out, shaking off that sudden heart pounding rush that came with the jolt of adrenaline. "Thats a hell of a way to introduce yourself, I gotta say," Alphard said, gingerly narrowing the distance between himself and the woman. She wasn't chaos but lord on high she'd spooked him something fierce. After being attacked a lot recently, Alphard was sort of beside himself with all the conflicts he'd been having to deal with as of late. "I mean don't you think saying Hi is a bit better. I mean, no offense, but I could have seriously hurt you or something." Temporary blindness hurt just in a more abstract way. "I'm sorry I hit you but geeze, you really got me there."
As the magic would fade, he'd relax not quite answering her question until she seemed recovered. "If you want to spar I mean, sure just uh-" He gave a shrug, "try not to hit my face I got to go to work tomorrow."

"I'm sorry, too," the tension in Aptera's voice eased when she received the voiced replies and responded to them and a smile reflecting how she was regaining ground back to a calmer state appeared on her features. "And while the start of this meeting of ours could have been worse, I seem to be uninjured for the most part and getting better. And, I'm glad you seem to be mostly uninjured as well."
"Actually, thank you as well; I also appreciate what I've gathered so far despite the initial circumstances moments ago. And, copy that, the face is off-limits to strikes," she went on to say while noting her vision was back before then transitioning to a question.
"Do you hear something?" Aptera asked as she charged forward at her newfound sparring opponent. If she wasn't imagining it, there was a police siren sounding in the distance somewhere. However, she endeavored to draw her focus back to the here and now, especially who she was sparring with, as she swiftly extended her leg up into a round kick aimed at the side of one of his upper arms.

>v< Lol, Vampsu, I'm totally open to seeing where our RP goes without further details set but if you'd like, I thought it would be funny if our duo's spar reaches an abrupt end due to having to avoid dealing with the police having been alerted of a cause of disturbance? cx
He was ready for them to start the spar but she wasn't hallucinating. Sirens were in the distance, and, closing in. "Well s**t." He said, oh so eloquently.
He got hit, mind on the police and his mindlessness getting him sent to the cold stone ground. "ow." Twice in one night- it wasn't his evening at all.
"I think thats the fuzz. We should rain check this and bounce. Even as a normie I uh, don't look reputable ya know." He gave a half smile. "Catch ya around?"
