Jaxon more or less had his future decided for him. Bismae had made it abundantly clear that Jaxon pretty much belonged to her and that she would take good care of him. Jaxon didn't disagree with this sentiment. Bismae seemed perfectly capable of taking care of more than just herself. She did, after all, dream to be the Mother of her own household someday, and Jaxon seemed to be the one who was going to have to help her build that foundation. Jaxon pretty much just accepted his fate. He was generally speaking too laid back when it came to his friends to really put up much of a fight, and really, a house filled with snake children didn't sound like a bad idea to Jaxon. He was perfectly fine with the way his life was shaping up, and so long as he stayed on the same path he was on now, there wasn't much cause to complain. Percy, on the other hand, would probably complain relentlessly. It was obvious from their first meeting that Percy did not approve of Jaxon in any way, shape, or form. Percy was pompous, and very outward about his disdain for Jaxon whenever Bismae wasn't around. Jaxon just hoped that when Bismae and himself were old enough that Percy would be off living his own life, and the two of them could keep to themselves without Percy's disapproving stare always looming over them. Jaxon, for now, would just have to be patient and wait for Percy to move on.
