What kinds of gifts were bought for gags, though? This was much more difficult than he'd thought it would be. At least if it was secret and the person who got his gift didn't like it, they wouldn't know who gave it to them either, though.
If not knowing what to buy for his peers wasn't bad enough, though, the person on the index card that he'd been asked to buy something for was a girl. What the heck were teenage girls into these days? The likes and dislikes on the card weren't as informative as he'd hoped they'd be. Even if she liked the color blue and liked make-up, did that mean she'd be happy with blue lipstick? He highly doubted it.
Frowning, Jack looked around for the nearest teenage girl he could find and tapped her on the shoulder to try to get her attention. "'Scuse me," he said, "but can you help me with something? I'm trying to get a girl a present for a Secret Santa and I need some advice."Stump_Fairy ((Please let me know if there's anything I need to change!))

Reddish orange hair swung behind around as Evren turned around. While she was wearing her pink lolita show coat, the real oddest thing probably about her was that she was holding her cat who was wearing a pink bow tie that matched her outfit. Her bright orange eyes squinted as she thought hard. “Hmmmm… Gift advice? Well that might be difficult I don’t really much about girls.” To which she paused for a few seconds to realize what she said before adding. “Oh, I mean like other girls… normal people things… I don’t really… mmmm.” To which she puffed her cheek out for a second deciding it was best to stop talking there before she said more dumb things. Readjusting the cat she was holding whose face seemed to rival grumpy cat’s she then tilted her head and blinked her eyes. “Um… My name is Evren? I’m sorry buttt… I’m not sure if we’ve met before… I don’t think we have…”

The male red-head stared at the cat in the girl's arms before properly regarding its holder and her pink lolita show coat that matched her feline's bow tie.
"Uh..." Jack was glad the girl seemed to understand his confusion about her not really knowing much about girls because she explained before he even had to voice his question. He chuckled in spite of his failure. Of all the girls he'd had to ask, he had to pick one as strange and unaware of her peers as himself.
"That's okay. I don't really know much about 'normal people things' either. But I wouldn't say that's a bad thing. At least you don't just go with everyone else's opinions and likes just because the majority does." He smirked at the cat as she readjusted it in her arms.
"Hey, Evren. I'm Jack. And yeah, that's right; we haven't met before. Why? Are you not supposed to talk to strangers?" he teased with a grin.

Evren smiled akwardly and then made a motion with her arms and the cat moved to make its home on her shoulders instead. "Oh no I've just never had anyone come up to me... you asked that question so casually I was thinking maybe we'd met before and I had forgotten..." Petting the cat on her shoulders she smiled at Jack. "See I'm usually the person who ends up going around talking to people... because of the situation I'm in right now..." After a pause she just smiled and said. "Do you know where I am?"

Jack seemed intrigued by the way Evren moved her arms to get the cat to change positions. "Oh, I'm just like that with everyone," he said when she mentioned that he had asked her his question casually. "I guess you could say I'm pretty comfortable with people. Kinda like you seem to be with that cat."
"Situation?" he asked, wondering what the girl meant until she asked her own question. Then he laughed. "You mean you get lost a lot? Or do you have amnesia? I can help, but you're going to have to give me a frame of reference. By 'where', do you mean planet, continent, country, state, region, district, city, street...?"

Evren tilted her head. "Well Regi has been with me for as long as I can remember..." With a quick tilt of the head she had a blank look on her face. "Well yes... I do have amnesia I guess but I think my bad sense of direction has more to do with why I'm lost." Putting a finger to her head she gave a deep thought at the question he asked her. "Mmm... I guess what street is this?"

"Really? That's cool. I know people bond with dogs easily, but I don't know about too many bonds with cats. Especially when it comes to people taking them out of the house." He ran a hand through his disheveled hair before gaping at Evren's comment about amnesia.
"You do? Wait, but then how do you know your bad sense of direction isn't connected to that?" Just how bad was this girl's memory? Should she really have been allowed out on her own? Maybe she hadn't originally gone out on her own, but she'd gotten separated from whomever she'd come with.
"Uh...it's Park Road, but where are you trying to get to? Or actually, what are you trying to do?"

"Oh... I never thought of it like that... its just been two years since it happened so... I just take things as it is." She tilted her head and smiled. "But actually it might have something to do with it if I think about it... like I'm looking for something maybe? Not really sure I just space out and before I know it I'm in some place I didn't intend on going." "Park road huh... it probably wasn't where we where supposed to go..." Smiling brightly at Jack she pumped her fist. "Whelp since I don't have a clue what I'm doing I guess I can help you out with your gift."

"Since what happened?" Jack asked, suddenly more alarmed and curious than before. "You haven't been wandering around lost for two years, have you?!"
He gaped at her. "...You don't even know what you're doing or where you're going? Hold on, let's forget the gift for a sec. Evren, do you have a family other than your cat? Or a phone? Please tell me you have a phone."

"Eh? No... I lost my memories two years ago and haven't remembered anything from before? I'd be really hard to just walk around for two years wouldn't it?" Evren looked absolutely confused as he asked her more questions. Not picking up on his concern. "Eh you mean my parents? They run the Porter Pet Clinic if that's what your asking about... wouldn't it be weird if Regi was my only family? Oh... did you need my phone for something? Oh, now I remember I can use the gps to get home... You're really smart Jack." When she then opened her purse she jostled the things around in there. "...Eee...umm.. hmm... It's not in here... did I leave it on my desk?"

Jack anxiously ran a hand through his bedraggled hair. He relaxed a tad at hearing that the girl before him still had memories from up to two years ago, but it still sounded like she shouldn't have been out and about on her own. Not that he was the type to worry about others, he reminded himself. He had enough to worry about on his own.
"Well yeah, it'd be hard, which is why I was shocked thinking that's what you'd done," he explained. "It's weird enough that you only have two years of memories and you're wandering around not knowing what you're doing here or why, so can you blame me for thinking you might have only had a cat for family?"
He stared incredulously at the Evren as she worked through why he was asking if she had a phone. Usually he basked in praise, particularly when it was for his intelligence which he was most proud of, but in this case all being called smart prompted him to do was slap a palm to his face. A groan softly accompanied his action once he'd heard the young lady's question to herself.
The teen wasn't in the habit of helping people. He didn't have reason to spend time on others when he could have been using it for his own benefit. However, the girl had so selflessly offered to help him look for a gift when she didn't even know where she was that Jack knew he couldn't just leave her be. He hated selfless people because he considered them stupid for not looking out for themselves when no one else would, but he also hated owing people.
"Okay, listen. If you help me find a present to buy for this girl, I'll look up the address for the pet clinic and walk you back there. Can you find your way home then? Or someone who can take you home?"

Evren just tilted her head in confusion. Regi who was perched on her shoulder just flipped his tail still keeping his face as grump as ever. Putting her finger to her chin she blinked. "Well... I don't see an issue with that..." Evren looking around at the area they where in. "Was there a place you wanted to check out? Or did you have a general idea?"

"You can find your way home from there, right?" Jack asked dubiously. If not, he was going to have to do more digging and not only would that be more work, but he'd feel like a stalker. The teen stared at the cat, wondering if it, at least, knew its way home.
He sighed heavily. "I have no idea. The likes of this girl are all over the place. Okay, let's start with something easy." At least, he hoped it would be easy. "What would you want as a Secret Santa present? Or, er, just a present. I know you said you don't know what 'normal people' would like, but ignore that for now."

Evren smiled brightly. "It's fine. Regi will help me home if worse comes to worse... sometimes he randomly shows up when I'm out too late... Now if only he could talk..." If Regi could talk like guardian cats she could get better impute from him on the outfits she makes for him. Evren scratched her face. "Hmmm well I like note books, fabrics and sparkly things I guess..." Scruffing Regi behind the ears she hummed. "I guess accessories would be something I'd ask for... Personally I have more difficulty making those then my outfits."

Well, that answered that question, though the high-schooler still wasn't exactly confident that the cat would lead the girl where she wanted to go. He wondered if Evren was placing a little too much trust in Regi, even if they had known each other a while.
"Wait, hold on, what?" Jack frowned at her. "Notebooks...why? To write stuff in so you don't forget?" He scratched his head as he regarded her with his hazel eyes. "You have more difficulty making accessories than outfits? You mean you make your own clothes, or you make outfits by putting together clothes that you have into an ensemble?"
