About The Race
The demons have traditionally been more of a race that values solitude. They are the beings whom most others assume would be the quickest to turn on one other were it not for personal gain. While the demons are loyal to their leader and those of power, their loyalty to one another wavers frequently should there not be some sort of personal gain. Despite this, however, they are quick to take care of children within their race who have lost their parents or are in need of care that can not be provided by their parents for one reason or another. They do not believe in depriving children of the right to live their lives while adults are expected to fend for themselves.
They mature at the rate of 10 demon years to one human year. For example, if a demon is the equivalence of 10 in human years, then in all actuality they would be 100 years old. Because of this slowed maturing rate, it is not uncommon for elderly demons to live as long as 1000-1100 years old--the human equivalence of 100-110 years old.
Section Black has become known as more of an underground territory where many backdoor exchanges and underhanded plans come to fruition. The territory itself lies just beneath the center of the city so as to yield the more darkened and dreary environment that most demons prefer.
Demons remain neutral parties within the war, lending their strength to the highest bidder. Leadership has remained among the Onigatana Family for millenniums, the role of king having been passed down from father to son for as long as can be remembered. The last leadership change came when the former King was assassinated by a group of vampires, causing his son to take up the role in his stead.
