Quote: Destiny City has had a few experiences with snow so far, but no one can argue that this most recent snow is the best for building snowmen. It's on a weekend, and the weather is just perfect. Many have dubbed today the city's unofficial 'Build a Snowman Day'. Snowman, snow sculpture, snow angel--whatever you want to make, have fun with it! Young or old, take some time to appreciate the little things and connect with some good old, basic, winter fun! When Kit saw that much snow, he didn't think 'snowman'. He thought, 'snow castle', and not the miniature kind, either. Perhaps a more accurate term would have been 'snow fort', because wherever he built his structure inevitably turned into a warzone. What good was a castle or fortress without someone to defend it against, after all?
He really hated getting wet, even from snow because it had the added trait of melting into cold water, but he'd come prepared. Covered in head to toe in thick, warm, water-proof clothing, he kept his jacket zipped up over his mouth and nose so he almost appeared to be some sort of urban bandit.
Picking a strategic area across from Richard's apartment, Kit began to build up his fort with its low walls of densely-packed snow. Once he had three walls surrounding him that were each a foot thick, about five feet wide, and four feet high, he prepared his ammunition. And once he had twenty or so snowballs piled in a corner of his makeshift fort, he took one and launched it at Richard's apartment window.Natsuko-neko ((Please let me know if there's anything I need to change!))

Richard had been sitting at his table going over a report with Lexus winding around his feet for the past ten minutes or so. As he didn't have any plans on heading out into the snow for a good while he was just in a pair of slacks and a long sleeve shirt. However he was startled out of his work at the sound of a dull thud on the window close to him and he looked over with an eyebrow raised.
"Think some poor bird got distracted?" He asked out loud then carefully got to his feet and went over to investigate, his tiny ferret climbing up onto his pants and making her way up to his shirt. Once at the window he pulled back the curtain and glanced around for what it was that made the sound, not noticing Kit just yet.Kitomyx I AM SO SORRY! I thought I had tagged you but I guess not OTL

Seeing his intended target come to the window in distinctly indoor clothing - was that a furry creature on his shirt? - Kit launched another snowball, having taken careful aim prior in anticipation of Richard's actions.
Oh no, that wouldn't do. It was such a beautiful day out. How could he possibly even consider wasting it staying inside? If even Kit, who disliked snow for its dampness and wetness, was willing to take advantage of the weather, then he was making damn sure the bearded man did as well.Natsuko-neko ((Not the oldest tag I owe you, but I'll get to the other soon! Sorry it's so short. OTL))

Lexus squeaked and her fur fluffed out while Richard flinched in surprise when the next snowball hit his window. He recovered quickly, though the ferret as hissing while on his shoulders, and his eyes searched the area for the culprit, spotting him easily enough. A small smile crosses his lips and he let the curtain drop before turning around and heading to his bedroom to change. It wasn't hard to figure out the kid wanted him outside after all and it was plain to see just what for as well.
Once he was in more appropriate clothes and Lexus was both calm and put in her cage he left his apartment and headed to where he last saw the teen, scooping up some snow, packing it in a ball and hiding it behind his back on the way over.

As soon as Richard retreated from the window, Kit sprang into action working on something on the path between his snow fort and the older man's apartment. He figured it would take a little while for the guy to dress in all the layers appropriate for the season, but his plan required a lot of preparation and he wanted to make sure he did it right.
By the time the bearded fellow was out, Kit was back behind his fort. He unzipped the top of his jack to greet Richard with his usual grin. "Heya, handsome. Where's that furry sock that was clinging to you a little while ago at the window?"
Little did Richard know that on the path directly from the apartment was a shallow ditch about a foot deep that had been dug and covered with sticks and packed snow so as to conceal it. It wouldn't have been enough to trap anyone, of course, but it may have been enough to cause them to lose their footing.
