Who knew just how much time had passed. Aria certainly had no idea. She'd been living with Cynder Fox and Raider for... well she'd stopped keeping count so very, very long ago. The City was still a mess, some things were rebuilding. Rumour had it Wily was working on... one thing or another.
Aria simply could care less what the Robot Masters were up to. She was more interested in scavenging, running through the underground. Anything that kept her busy. She was an adult now, but sometimes she found it hard to feel too grown up.
Raider was off with Glitch and Fox... somewhere. Perhaps looking to find more refugees. That was a common thread for them, caring for small audio til they could go off on their own. A girl named Ash had found her place with them after the blowout with Flashover.
But Ash was busy caring for new kids, and Aria found it difficult to be around the pups. Their loneliness and abandoned state reminded her of her own.
"Ah." Aria shook her head, rubbing her ears slightly, "That's enough of that." she quietly chastised herself. The audio was standing just on the edge of the downtown area, she'd moved into the town to entertain herself for a few hours.
Stop sulking and feeling bad for yourself Aria. You're better than that.
She pushed a paw back through her long brown hair, green eyes scanning the city for what she wanted to do. Squinting, she saw a bar off in the distance. Not normally something she was interested in, but for some reason, she felt drawn to the place.
Well. She had nothing better to do, right? The robotic audio wrapped the cloak she wore, tightly around her shoulders. The hood was pulled up to cover her more, it made her feel safe, though she knew it was just a cloak and would do nothing to help her in the state of a fight (maybe she could throw it at someone to distract them long enough to dart away).
Moving along, she soon found herself passing through the doors that opened into the bar. It ... reeked. Her small nose wrinkled back against her muzzle. Smelled like wet pups who'd been in the hot sun too long.
Gross.
Passing it off, the girl moved up to the bar, quietly ordering a drink from the bartender before pulling herself up to sit on a vacant stool. As the man behind the bar moved off to get the drink going, Aria turned and let her eyes scan the room.
They then affixed on something... no. No someone she'd not seen in.. some time. Digging into the pocket of her cloak, the robot stuffed some money up onto the bar itself and dropped from her chair, not bothering to wait for the drink at this point. Crossing the room, she moved up behind a soft grey audio, in a familiar green hoodie.
"Five?"

The green hooded audio paused as he was spoken to. Looking back, pink eyes fell onto green. His face broke out in a warm, albeit just a little twisted, smile. "Aria."His hand flashed on his other side, the dull sound of a thud against the wall. He glanced back almost bored to the bullseye he hit. He shrugged as the other player's jaw dropped. From in the vague back Aria would hear someone call out, "That's why we said don't take on Bullseye Fivel!!!" Five chuckled darkly as he slipped an arm around Aria to guide her to a nearby small table. His body had filled out finally in their time apart. Though there was a childish gleam to his eyes, his smiled lacked it entirely. He sat down after offering her the other chair. He rested his chin on his folded hands. Time had been rather kind to the male. His body filled out from the premature muscle he had from his time under the junk yard. His hands were clad in his trademark fingerless pink gloves, his hoodie looked a bit snug showing off a toned body underneath. His dusky tail flickered behind him as he focused on her. He had less hate for Bots, it was something that he had just gotten over with time. His hate more was towards himself in small ways as well as his elder brother who lacked so much. He saw his brother lately however, with a seemingly steady boyfriend and two pups. He wished the small family happiness from afar then made up his mind to only write. After hearing stories of a female Bot that seemed to be about helping everyone he had figured that Bots could also be victims like the citizens were. After all, a Bot was created...that didn't mean they had a say in anything that concerned them really. Well..that's what he came to realizing after a few years of hate. Now he spent most of his time using his knife skills to good use. Hustling people in a 'fair' game of darts. Seeing Aria again, Five felt a small part of him wake up. He remembered her being a lost little pup in his maze of a home. A maze that he had fortified and remade many times in his bordem. A maze he would very much like to see her take on again... "How are you?"

Aria hadn't really had much time to register the fact that her friend had nailed that bulleye so entirely. No. Instead she found herself being gently guided over to a table by the chuckling figure. It wasn't lost on her, the differences from her last meeting with the other audio. She settled in the seat, eyes studying the hooded figure across from her. He seemed... more put together somehow? Less erratic maybe... were those good words to describe it? She wasn't sure. Instead she just smiled back at him, pulling the hood of her cloak back. Much better, she could see him better now. The cloak was comforting, but it also shaded her vision. "I'm... I'm good. Haven't really had much going on in the last little while." she reached and pushed some of her hair from her face as she spoke. Her bangs had fallen loosely, no longer pinned down by the weight of the hood. "How about yourself? Feels like forever since I've seen you. Pink gloves and green hoodie though, dead give away." her smile was more of a bemused grin. Some things about him hadn't changed. Apparently his affection for those particular items was one of them.

The male smiled again as he removed his hood, his hair was fluffy as it fell a little in his eyes. Brushing it back he tucked it behind his now pierced ears. A set of three rings in his left while his right had a cuff with a chain linked to a stud. He nodded. "Similar over here. Though..." he glanced to the dart board. "I found a easy past time." he chuckled as he held up a hand to look at the glove. "Well, there are a few things one needs as their calling card." he knew in some circles his name was uttered with some degree of caution. If only due to his unstable nature at the start. He smiled as he reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear. Quick fingers slipped a pretty little hair pin to help keep her hair in place. "There you go...hope that helps."

Aria's eyes had followed the flow of things, her head turning so she could look over at the dart board, his dart still wedged center circle. That was a fairly impressive shot, and it completely left her disarmed as she felt a hand moving through her hair. "Huh?" the bright orange audio blinked across at her friend as he continued to speak, her own hand reaching up to gently run over the pin that was now holding her hair back. "Oh..." she paused a moment, feeling a strange heat in her face, "Thank you." she smiled a bit again. Her eyes roved once more, however, catching a glimpse of the rings and cuff on his ear. Piercings were such strange things. They were fascinatingly lovely to look at, but she couldn't imagine why a flesh and blood creature would put themselves through the agony of putting permanent holes in their flesh. Somehow, it seemed to suit Five though. Idly her hand reached up and she let her finger trace one of the rings. "Those are new too, huh?"

There was a soft purr as he leaned into her touch. The young male smiled as his eyes glittered when he looked up to her. "Their proof. The rings are for every group fight I've survived on my own, since the fall of the rebels. The chain is proof of my tie to my will of living..." he said as he flickered the chain. As he spoke the bartender set down two drinks, one that was the one Aria ordered the other was in a special sort of glass. One that said 'Bullseye Fivel'. Five nodded to the barkeep before taking a sip. "You are most welcome about the pin...there's many that I find in the junk yard." he chuckled. "I save a few as special rewards for a few females that do me favors."He paused. "Though, you are the first female I've given such a pin to." he pointed out as he took another sip. Honestly most females shied away from him. He didn't mind. Aria was special. He hissed softly as his hand flew to his hip. That scar...

Aria was amused at the way Five leaned in and purred about his ears. The movement of the chain that he flicked elicited a small giggle from the female sitting with him. Her head nodded a bit as he explained the lot of them. At least he had a reason, it wasn't just a random fashion statement. Not that she likely would have judged him for that either, it was just hard for her to understand. Her hand pulled back when the bartender came over and she nodded her thanks. Another giggle passed from her lips as she read the words on his glass. Apparently his past time meant he was definitely a regular at this place. She'd have to keep that in mind. Aria's face had contorted oddly when Five started to speak about the females that did him favours. She couldn't put her finger on why, and she'd been about to tease him about how he must have many girlfriends then, when her thoughts were cut off by the last words from his mouth. Her one full ear flicked a bit, and the tiny, rounded one just twitched a little, unable to make the same movement. "I'm sure you say that to all the girls you give things too." she grinned a bit, trying to snuff out the strange heat in her face again. Maybe she'd have to have Glitch check over her coolant systems later, they were clearly malfunctioning. "... It is lovely though."

He smiled, he seemed to do that a lot around her. It was odd. Well, he did smile...just not this much usually. He thought about it. "I'm sorry if this is forward or odd of me...but..." he shrugged as he just came out with it. "Aria...how did you grow so fast?"It was something that just struck him as odd. He wasn't a fool, he did the math. She shouldn't be nearly his age by now.

As the question escaped Five's lips, Aria felt her eyes drift away from looking at him. She'd been contentedly smiling back at him. The question was like a sharp knife between her ribs, unintentionally twisting and digging in hard. Fox had told her that it was better for people not to know what she was. Fox wasn't ashamed of her being a bot, but... it was other people. Other people were afraid of them, and she didn't look like a bot. People would be more frightened by that. You can't pretend you're a real person forever, Aria. He's going to find out eventually, you're not good enough to keep it up forever. the girl mentally chastised herself. She wasn't real. Not like Five. She didn't have blood in her veins, hell... she didn't have veins. Not real ones. The girl quietly took a long sip of her drink, her one good ear drooping listlessly against her hair, the nubby little ear just twitching. Not panic or fear, she was simply... Upset. "I'm just... different." she managed to uncomfortably mumble out, her tail beginning to flick and swat around herself a bit. There was another long pause. "I..." she lifted her head to look over at him. "Does it matter why?"

Five blinked at her reaction. Leaning back as he crossed his legs in thought. Things clicked, things fell into place. He looked around once then back to her. "It doesn't matter at all." he confessed as he took a long sip of his drink. "How can you hold your liquor, Aria?" he smirked.

Aria was pleased to have avoided the awkwardness of that particular conversation. Though she tilted her head a bit, snorting at the next question that came from Five's mouth. Honestly, she had no idea, but she did have a slight ego. "Better than you, I'm willing to bet." she let the amused smile return to her face. "Why?"

Five tipped his glass to her. "Lets have a game shall we? See who can drink more?" he smirked. "Winner gets to demand something of the loser?"He knew what he wanted of her, though a part of him was loathing himself to trick her. He could hold his own. He looked around to the barkeep. "Two pitchers." he requested. With a smile he looked back to her. "Are you game?"

Aria liked games. She played games with Raider often. She'd never played games involving alcohol however, so this was new. Her tail flicked a bit behind her, and her nubby ear twitched a bit. Her ego was being challenged though and she snorted. She then grinned as the bartender brought the pitchers over, placing them down on the table for the pair. "Sure, but you're going to regret it when I leave you walking around the city with flowers in your hair for the rest of the evening." she giggled a bit at the mental image. Bright flowers adorning his unkempt hair and utterly ruining the look he had going. "I'll be sure they match your gloves." her voice cooed out, the giggles subsiding as she simply grinned at the young man. She was a bot, afterall. What chance did he have?

Five chuckled. Then emptied his cup. Pouring them both equal shares he set a cup in front of her. "Here you are." he smirked as he tipped his cup to her. "Ready?"He was going to enjoy this. Not many took him on in this game, it was always entertaining when someone did. As he waited for her to take a sip he spoke. "So, Aria. We can talk freely here." he took a sip. "Are you normal?" a flash to his eyes as he asked that.

Aria quietly thanked him as he handed the cup over, looking in at the strong smelling, dark liquid inside. It was clearly more potent than the drink she'd ordered when she came in, but that was fine. She could handle that. Right? The female audio took a sip, still listening as he went on about being able to talk freely. She was slightly distracted from his comment, initially, due to the acrid taste this liquor was leaving on her tongue. Her nose wrinkled up, but she didn't stand on that long as she finally let the weight of his question sink into her mind. "Kind of a loaded question, isn't it?" she wasn't certain she liked the implication, but it was a relatively vague thing she could still dance around. "I mean, really. Look around here, does anyone really seem all that normal to you?" she took another sip of the unpleasant liquid, her nose wrinkling in disdain once more. "Pretty sure I'm as normal as anyone else."
