White tea: There was really nothing that Esrael disliked about this tea. It was light and easy to sip and there was just something about it that really calmed him. He had only recently gotten in to tea and this was definitely one that he knew he could drink time and time again. It was just very satisfying, though it could stand to be just a little stronger on the taste for him. 'This tea is surprisingly good for how light the actual taste is. While I wholeheartedly enjoy this tea, I do wish it was just a tiny bit more flavorful.'
Green tea: As the Fallen sipped the green tea he scrunched his nose up slightly. There was just something about this particular tea that he just couldn't get behind. It wasn't terrible, but it just wasn't good to him. There was just something that tasted off about it. Maybe it was just this particular type of green tea? He had to tell himself not to make judgement based off of just this one type. For now though, green tea was at the bottom of his list. He picked up his pencil, 'No. I'm sure there are some green teas that are good, but this one is just not to my liking.'
Oolong tea: On to the next one and Esrael was overjoyed that it helped get the taste from the last tea out of his mouth. A second sip and he began to enjoy it a little more. So far it wasn't his favorite, but it would have to be his second favorite at this time. 'I enjoy how easy this tea is on my pallet, it has a very nice level of smoothness to it.'
Rooibos: Even just smelling this tea Esrael knew he was going to like it. There was something comforting about the smell and as he sipped it...well that's all she wrote, folks. 'By far my favorite. I can say with ease, without even trying the others yet, that this is something that I could drink all day.' He took another sip and added a small note, 'Could use a little bit of sweetness, I would add a little bit of honey to it.'
Black tea: Not the worst one so far, but he couldn't help but think that maybe it was just a tad over steeped because there was just something about it that was just a little too bitter for his liking. 'I can see why people use a lot of milk and sugar with this particular type of tea. While it's a little too bitter for my liking, I think some milk could do it wonders.'
Mate: The last tea, as he sipped his first sip he instantly spit it back out. He didn't think that anything could beat that green tea for worst taste. He was incredibly wrong about that. 'I feel like I just poured molasses into my mouth and now I'm drowning in it. 0/10. Just no.'
White tea: Typically speaking, white was Cain's favourite tea, but the teacher had oversteeped his tea, and it was a touch bitter. It was really such a shame, seeing as white tea was such a delicate tea ...
Green tea: The tea was quite good. Not the best tea he ever had, but Cain thought it was passable.
Oolong tea: Mmmn, oolong! While the leaves were tougher and more durable, oolong could get quite dry if oversteeped. But even still, Cain loved it so much that even an oversteeped oolong was hard not to enjoy.
Rooibos: Eh. It was rooibos. Cain wasn't as big of a fan of the african plant, but he wasn't opposed to it either. He preferred flavoured rooibos teas to plain rooibos.
Black tea: Again, a tea that Cain loved above all else; a nice, crisp, black tea. And this was was exceptionally steeped! Well played, teacher.
Mate: Yerba mate was an acquired taste, and honestly, Cain could do with or without it. This particular brew was quite pleasant in comparison to some he had in the past.
White tea:Teto tried the silver needle with a sigh of satisfaction. It was so smooth and easy to drink and she loved the delicate undertones. It was near-perfect, in her opinion.
Green tea:Teto had grown up drinking green tea and had always loved it, but this brew was something else entirely. She let out an audible groan of pleasure after her first sip, falling completely in love with the brew. It was crisp and made her feel ten times lighter.
Oolong tea:The Kumiho was relatively indifferent to the Rou Gui Xiang, enjoying the flavours but not really being convinced of the creamy aftertaste.
Rooibos:The red rooibos seemed almost tasteless to Teto, and while she wasn't horribly opposed to it, she certainly wouldn't bother brewing it again in the future.
Black tea:Black tea seemed peculiar to the Kumiho, who was more used to the crisp flavours of green tea. Having the assam tea was not a pleasant experience for Teto and she decided in the future to try it with milk and sugar rather than plainly brewed.
Mate:Teto couldn't really taste the subtle flavours of the yerba mate tea described by the teacher. It wasn't an unpleasant experience, but she disliked the feeling that it was never going to leave her mouth again.
It didn't take much consideration for Teto to decide on her favourite brew. She eagerly wrote about the amazing, subtle flavours of the chun mee green tea, expressing her desire to drink it frequently in the future.

White tea: The first tea, silver needle. Margret was excited to have a tea culture class. It reminded her of her tea party with Hawthorn. Lost in her thoughts, the tea over steeped and when she took a sip, it was very bitter. "Ew...." She whispered to herself quietly. "Something went wrong with that one..." She wrote on her paper 'I didn't like these one much, it was bitter, but that was my fault.'
Green tea: The next was chun mee green tea which the Bakeneko made sure to keep an eye on. With her first sip, she tasted how clean and crisp it was, as the teacher described. "That was pretty good." She mumbled and nodded. She scribbled, 'Very fresh, it helped to refresh my palette from the last tea.'
Oolong tea: Rou Gui Xiang oolong was the third tea they'd try. It was a bit creamy and silky, not bad at all. She was getting better steeping these teas. 'This is great so far, reusable tea leaves are great!'
Rooibos: How great was it to be trying red rooibos? It wasn't a tea leaves at all! 'Longest by far to steep to a good taste, but it is worth the wait!
Black tea: The smell of assam tea was enchanting, and just one sip and Margret knew she was in love. This was the best of the bunch. She needed to make sure she remembered this tea. 'The mild sweetness gives this bold tea personality. I love it!'
Mate: Trying the yerba mate, Margret could only think about the assam tea from before. 'I have no strong feelings for this tea either way.'
He had chosen this class on a whim, as a way to fill this time when Amory had electives of her own, but as Thian drew closer to the room where it was to be held, he felt a genuine spark of interest creep up on him. Interesting drinks. An excuse to slurp in class. Maybe this would turn out to be fun.
White tea:
He set his water to boiling once he'd gotten comfortable, pouring a measure of it into his first cup and waiting for it to steep. He found the silver needle very different from what he was used to, light and flowery where he preferred something darker. It wasn't bad though. It wasn't good either.
"This stuff kind of just... exists," he said with a shrug. "I wouldn't have it again, but whatever."
Green tea:
Following his first taste of what this class had to offer, Thian was pretty sure he was in for more of the same mediocrity. Surprisingly, once he'd prepared the green tea and took a sip, he found... well... it was delicious. It made him feel like going outside and taking a brisk walk, two things he didn't think he'd ever felt in his life.
"What's this called? Chun mee? Weird name, great tea."
Oolong tea:
He enjoyed watching the leaves unfurl slightly as he brewed this next tea, not that was the end of his appreciating. Once he had sipped, he almost felt thirstier than he'd been when he started. It made him feel a little crazy, to be honest.
"Nope," Thian said, nudging the cup aside. "This one's bleh."
Rooibos:
He didn't even want to try this one after hearing it wasn't brewed from leaves. It was only because he was in class and expected to finish this assignment that he continued, and once he had, he was thankful. This stuff was excellent, almost as good as the green, and he didn't even mind that it wasn't real tea.
"This sh—stuff is really good." He took another sip. "That's all I have to say."
Black tea:
It probably didn't help that he was beginning to tire of this. Tea, tea, tea. It wasn't as much fun as he thought it would be, especially once he tasted the assam. It was pretty bad. Bitter, and even a little cold. He probably should have made it himself.
"Next."
Mate:
""Is this grass?"
He couldn't help the face he was making, and after a moment of trying to suppress it, he gave up.
"It seriously tastes like I stuck my face in the dirt. Sorry." Thian wasn't actually sorry, but he didn't want to completely fail.
White tea: Delicately sipped at the white tea, and then proceeded to roll it around in her mouth. It was so delicate! A nice, gentle tea. Very nice!
Green tea: The second the green tea hit her tongue, Niamh grinned. It was simply amazing! It reminded her of being outside on a perfect day, sitting beneath a nice tree... She closed her eyes, to savor the moment. I think this tea is perfect and delicious.
Oolong tea: Unlike the beloved green tea, once the oolong was in her mouth Niamh puckered, She swallowed, but just barely. "Ugh..." It made her mouth feel dry, and clingy. Maybe I steeped this one wrong, but I don't see how anyone could drink this...
Rooibos: Clutching the next cup, the tiny Fey hoped it would get the taste of the Oolong out of her mouth. And it did. This one also had a lovely, woodsy flavor. So nice and warm! I very much like this tea. It remind me of summer.
Black tea: Niamh sipped the black tea, enjoying the slightly sweet flavor. This one is nice, too, but not as nice as the green, or the rooibos.
Mate: Another tea that reminded her of outside! This one was a little sweet for her taste, but still pretty good. This tea is nice, but maybe a little too much for me.
White tea: This tea wasn't her favorite, but it wasn't terrible at all. It just wasn't her cup of tea apparently. Someone else could possibly enjoy it though. The water taste wasn't her thing. Onto the next cup!
Green tea: She liked this tea even less. Nothing was wrong with it, and it wasn't terrible, just not for her. There wasn't enough substance for her, just like the white tea. She could see why others would like it.
Oolong tea: Much better! Jacintha could imagine herself sitting down and enjoying a cup of this tea. It seemed almost creamy to her, and she liked that about it. However, she hoped she would like one of the other one's better.
Rooibos: Another one she was just meh on. The favor just wasn't for her. At least she didn't hate any of these teas, and they had all been made properly. For this one she simply didn't like the more woody taste it had.
Black tea: Was she simply just a picky person? Once again a tea she didn't like a lot, but could still drink. The bold favorite just wasn't her style, but she did like the small hint of sweet in it. Maybe she could try more sweet teas in the future? Maybe a strawberry blend would be a good one!
Mate: This one was definitely her favorite. It wasn't absolutely mind boggling amazing, but she could see herself drinking this one everyday still. After a bit she found herself having a hard time sitting. Turns out she didn't realize it was a natural energy booster. Now she wouldn't be able to sit in any of her classes. Oops. Maybe she shouldn't drink this one.
Alyssum hadn't really been sure what other classes she wanted to take, but when she spotted tea culture on the list she figured she'd give it a shot. She enjoyed a cup of tea every now and then, and maybe she'd learn something new.
White tea: Alyssum picked up the white tea and gave it a careful sip. She could definitely taste the floral notes, but it was so delicate that it was like a whisper of a taste. It actually made her want to try more, to try to find the taste again. When she finally set the cup down she could feel the ghost of the flavor in her mouth, which was not at all upleasant. She would have to try more white teas in the future.
Green tea: When Alyssum sipped on the green tea, she felt her eyes widen a little. There was no trying to find the flavor with this tea! It was crisp and clear, almost like the first bite into an apple, but it wasn't really sweet. It made her feel delightfully energetic. She made a note to ask further about this tea, and maybe buy some for later. This would be great for when she was studying.
Oolong tea: The next tea Alyssum tried was pleasant enough. After the crispness of the green tea, the oolong felt almost like drinking silk. If green tea was the crispness of a fresh apple, oolong was the smoothness of whipped cream. It was a very interesting contrast and she enjoyed the flavor, though it felt more like a rainy day, relaxing in a comfy chair kind of drink.
Rooibos: Alyssum gave the rooibos tea a sniff before tasting it. It was a strong flavor, with a sort of mustiness to it. It wasn't exactly unpleasant, but Alssyum wasn't really sure how she felt about it. Perhaps it was something that just needed an acquired taste. She took another sip. No, not bad. But maybe something she'd only seek out every now and then.
Black tea: At Alyssum's first sip of black tea she knew she had another favorite. Like the green tea the flavor was very much there and pronounced, but the black tea had a nice sweetness to it. It was subtle, but also felt versatile, like the sweetness could pair nicely with several different kinds of flavors, but was equally delicious on its own. This was another one Alyssum might have to inquire about later.
Mate: Alyssum's first sip of the mate tea was...interesting. It had a plant-like taste, one of the strongest she'd tasted today. She took small, careful sips, really trying to find the flavor. It was there. Kinda citrusy, but she had to focus really hard to find it. The flavor started to cling to her mouth the more she drank, making it harder for her to pick out the subtleties. She set the cup down. Not bad, but really odd. Kinda like the roobios, it didn't seem like something Alyssum would want to drink except for on the odd occasion. The taste certainly lingered a bit more than the others, or at least it felt like it. Well, maybe you just got used it.
Jaden thought it might be good to try taking classes on different kinds of drinks as well as baking. If he ever got good enough, maybe he could serve things in his fennekit cafe? After he figured out how to keep the areas separated...
White tea: Jaden sipped on the white tea first. He thought it was an odd name, considering the tea wasn't white. As the flavor hit his mouth his eyes widened and all thoughts of the name flew from his head. It was incredibly tasty! It wasn't strong, but he sometimes had trouble with taste anyway. But what he could taste felt very nice in his mouth, and reminded him of that nice scent that just lingered around flowers. He was quite sad when his cup was empty, and wondered if it was possible to ask for more...
Green tea: Next Jaden tried the green tea. The instant it hit his tongue he made a face. Blech! It was kind of bitter, and not at all pleasant! The white tea tasted like how flowers smelled, but the green tasted like how flowers actually tasted if you actually made the mistake of trying to eat them. Jaden made himself swallow the tea and quickly put the cup down without going for a second sip. No thanks!
Oolong tea: Jaden picked up the next tea with a bit of trepidation and sipped cautiously. He relaxed as the flavor hit his tongue. It still wasn't as good to him as the white tea had been, but he found the flavor infinitely preferable to the green. It felt pretty smooth in his mouth, but he couldn't really discern a noticeable flavor. Still, it felt nice enough that he drank it all to wash the taste of the nasty green tea out of his mouth!
Rooibos: Jaden picked up the next tea and gave it another cautious sip. Again this one wasn't so bad, and again it still wasn't as good as the first one. It didn't have the feel of the oolong, but Jaden got more taste from this one. For some reason it just reminded him being in a forest. Around maybe late summer or early autumn. He drank about half the cup, starting to feel a little fully and sloshy, deciding that the rooibos wasn't too bad.
Black tea: Jaden picked up the next tea and gave it a sip. It was probably the only one that looked kinda like what its name suggested. As he half-guessed, it wasn't as good as the white tea. Though considering black was the opposite of white, perhaps he should be grateful it wasn't as bad as the green tea! If he had to put an order to them though he would say this one had the most pronounced flavor for him, after the white tea. It was different, kinda sweet but without that floral taste. Jaden decided he liked the black tea a lot, and drank most of the cup down.
Mate: Feeling quite full of tea, Jaden picked up the last cup and gave it a sip. He was instantly confused by the flavor. At first it was as bad as the green tea. He swished it a little in his mouth, and the grassy flavor receded a little, with new flavors coming forward. Jaden was hard-pressed to even guess the flavors, just that they were kinda sweet. He wasn't really sure how he felt about the mate tea though, and since he was feeling very full of tea indeed he limited himself to just that one mouthful.
Lemongrass tea: Mmn, lemongrass made such a good tea. The downfall was if you didn't have a finely knitted strainer, you risked getting a lot of the grass in to your cup. Cain didn't mind, but he knew plenty of others who did.
Peppermint: A classic that was hard to mess up. Cain rather enjoyed his cup of peppermint tea, and had no complaints. He rather enjoyed the pureness of the flavour and could feel it going down coolly in the back of his throat. It was like he could feel it killing off any germs he may have contracted.
Ginger: While Cain usually proffered more delicate flavours, ginger tea was warming and reinvigorating to him. This particular cup that he had brewed was not too spicy, yet full of flavour. It was a successful steep!
Hibiscus: Mn ... the sharp zing of hibiscus tea always seemed to overpower other flavours in tea. On its own, it tasted about as expected. It wasn't his favourite.
Lavender: ... no. No. Lavender was okay in small quantities, but not as the main flavour! Cain had to hold back a grimace. It tasted like he was drinking liquid hand soup.
Chamomile: Yes, a delicate flavour that Cain could get behind. After the lavender, it was a welcome reprieve.
