Ahh, life as a senshi was good indeed. As a normal human, he couldn’t chase after and hitch rides on the backs of moving vehicles like ice cream trucks. As Sailor Sinope, however, he was perfectly capable as he quickly discovered when he tried. It was great. Anytime he felt like a snack, he could wait for the truck to stop, hop off to order, and hop right back on once he’d gotten his new treat.
Maybe the ice cream truck driver had begun to recognize his face after the third or fourth time, but even if he did, there was no way he would have guessed Sinope was riding on his truck’s roof. Since the vehicle didn’t go very fast in the first place, he didn’t feel there was any danger of him falling off, either. This was the good life. In this way, not only could Sinope patrol the area and collect energy from hyper little children devouring large quantities of sugar, but he barely had to lift a finger to do either. He just let his mirrorwraith out whenever the truck stopped to sell its wares to the neighborhood kids and it did the rest.

Like her wraith and like mirrorwalking, the latter of which was something that so far never got old.
And whilst Sadalsuud was a little so-so on the whole taking energy thing - the whole thing from what she gathered was meant to help the Court - and the court involved really nice people like Mr Prince and Merkeb.
And it wasn't like her wraith was taking a lot of energy - it really was just a little.
She was walking on her way towards the park, with the intention of letting said wraith out for a little bit when the musical tones of an ice cream truck made her pause...
Or more like the sudden flare of a chaos aura had her pause, as green eyes instinctively glanced around.

Sinope blinked and looked up from his popsicle when he sensed an energy signature very similar to his own. Another Dark Mirror Senshi? He glanced about before spotting a young lady in green and black headed toward the park. Grinning, he waved at her to catch her attention when he noticed her glance around. “Hi, there,” he greeted amicably, grinning from ear to ear. “Haven’t seen you before. Are you from the Dark Mirror Court, too?”

She peered up at the ice cream truck after blinking, thinking that perhaps she had been mistaken, however there really was someone up there...
And the aura that she'd picked up on seemed to be coming from there as well.
She waved back, because the other had waved at her and watched as the figure jumped down from the top of the ice cream truck and couldn't help but think it kind of neat even if she didn't think that she'd dare do the same.
"Hi" and her smile was as friendly as her wave as she said cheerfully "Yes I am - I'm Sailor Sadalsuud."

I’m really new, so I don’t know much about this whole deal. Pretty fun trying to get the hang of it all, though,” he chuckled.

Sorry for the delay, for some reason I managed to miss this was up in the guild - going to add it to Sadalsuud's diary so I don't miss it. I'm kind of bad with titles but would Sly Luck work?
Sadalsuud laughed "No I’m not Irish - at least not as far as I know." Because whilst it was something that she could ask her father about, he hadn’t ever mentioned being Irish or having Irish family. "I’m actually part Korean - from my mother’s side - although my father’s American."
She continued "And you were right on the second guess - I’m the senshi of clovers." Sadalsuud couldn’t help but nod in agreement at Sinope’s comment about other Dark Mirror senshi seeming rare - because truth be told she hadn’t met that many of the rest of the Court either..
Although she had met Merkeb and the Prince…
And there had been a few Dark Mirror senshi during the Adventure Port event - even if she hadn’t caught all of their names.
She shook her head at the offer to get her something "I’m actually okay at the moment" she admitted. "But it’s really nice to meet another member of the Court."

Hazel eyes widened in wonder. "Korean? That's amazing! Have you ever been there before? Do you know if they have clovers in Korea?" Recalling that he had caught the girl on her way to the park, though, he paused.
"Oh, whoops, I didn't mean to bother you while you were in the middle of doing something. Were you patorlling, or just coming out here to enjoy the weather at the park?" Not that it was any of his business, he realized, but at least the black-haired young lady didn't seem the type to take offense to his nosiness.
Sinope nodded in acknowledgement when Sadalsuud assured him she was fine for now. He beamed back when she told him that it was nice to meet another member of their court, though, because it had just dawned on him that perhaps the other Dark Mirror senshi might not have wanted his company.
"Same here! This is so awesome; I didn't think I'd run into another Dark Mirror by chance just going around like this. What are you up to, if you don't mind me asking? Anything fun? Just collecting energy? Training?"

Sadalsuud nodded "Yes when I was younger - although I don't really remember it that much."
It had been back when her grandfather was still alive, when she had still been very little. "But I'm hoping to go again some day."
Sadalsuud's laughed a little at his question about clovers, shaking her head slightly as she admitted "I don't know - but it would be neat if they do."
Then her laughter faded into a smile as she shook her head again "Ah no you're not bothering me and I don't mind at all - I was planning to collect some energy for the court and so I guess you could say I was patrolling..."
She continued "But I wouldn't mind having some company."
It was an offer and a cheerful one at that.

The male senshi nodded. "That's cool. Hope you get to, especially if you have family there."
Happy to acknowledge the offer to keep Sadalsuud company, Sinope answered, "Great! We can collect energy together. Or at least let our wraiths do it." He glanced at the golden clovers on the girl's dress as he took out his own shard to call the mysterious little creature out from it.
"While they're doing that, though, since we can't really do anything to help them, do you wanna spar, maybe? I'd love to see what you can do as a senshi of clovers, and we could pass the time while training."
The smile faded slightly at Sinope's question about sparring, a rueful note slipping into her voice as she admitted "I'm not really into fighting."
She slipped her own shard out from under the golden bracer that adorned the wrist of her right arm as she spoke "But I can show you my magic if you want to see it."
She laughed, the same rueful note in her laughter as she continued "Although I'm still trying to work out what it does - apart from look pretty."

"Oh, no, I'm not into fighting, either," he assured her quickly before realizing how stupid he sounded. If he wasn't into fighting, why would he have suggested they spar? "Maybe 'spar' wasn't the right word."
Now that he thought of it, though, even if his magic wasn't physically harmful, did he really want to use it on her? He didn't want to cause her distress, especially since they seemed to be getting along okay so far and he didn't want to ruin that. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to use his own magic after all.
"You know what? Forget I said that. Wouldn't want you to waste your magic just to show me." In all honesty, if she wasn't sure what it did, it could have been dangerous to either or both of them. "How about Korean? Do you know any? Could you teach me?"
"Oh that's a relief" Sadalsuud said, admitting as she summoned her wraith "Because fighting isn't something that I'm that great at."
And 'not that great' was perhaps something of an understatement because fighting was something that Mi-Hi - and by extension Sadalsuud given that they were one and the same - was downright lousy at.
The offer to show Sinope her magic had been an honest one, but Sadalsuud didn't push when he told her to forget about what he'd asked earlier–
Because whilst her magic was something she considered pretty, it didn't seem to actually do anything.
Unless you counted the looking pretty.
"Actually yes I do speak Korean" Sadalsuud said cheerfully "Both my Mum and Dad speak it" she continued before admitting "Although my Dad is not as good at it."
She nodded at the second question "And yes I could teach you some Korean if you want me to?" She made it a question.

Snorting, Sinope assured her, "Me either, believe you me. I get bullied at school all the time. All I'm good at is talking, but my big mouth is what gets me into trouble half the time." It could also talk him out of trouble, if he was skillful enough, but the fact that it was what got him into trouble in the first place kind of cancelled it out as positive trait.
"Neat!" he exclaimed, interested in the prospect of knowing and learning another language. "Hey, being bad at it is better than not trying or knowing how to do it at all, right? It's cool that he at least makes an effort to learn."
And then an idea occurred to him. "That'd be great! You know, if you taught me some Korean and I could speak it convincingly enough, maybe I could convince people I don't know what they're talking about and they'd leave me alone." ...Yeah, right. He didn't look Korean at all and he was too fond of talking to not use English. "Er...well, maybe not. But at least I might be able to confuse them?"
He cast her a sheepish smile as he summoned a mirrorwraith from his shard to set it loose. "Uh...how do you say, 'I don't understand you'? Or, like...what's your favorite thing to say in Korean?"
"That sounds horrible" Sadalsuud said as Sinope admitted to being bullied at school, her voice sympathetic.
It was something that, admittedly, she didn't really have to deal with because - at least for the most part - she generally got on with most of her peers at school as Mi-Hi.
That wasn't to say that there wasn't and hadn't been meanies - because Sadalsuud guessed that every school probably had them - just that she was lucky enough to have mostly managed to avoid them.
At his suggestion that learning a bit of Korean was something that could maybe help with the bullies, Sadalsuud nodded "Well I especially don't mind if it's something that might be able to help with your bully problem."
Her lips quirked up in a smile as he asked her how to say 'I don't understand', before giving into gentle laughter, although there was no malice to it.
"There's actually three different ways to say that" she admitted "Depending on how formal the situation calls for you to be."
She absently tucked some of the chin length strands of her black hair out of her hair as she continued "The most formal is ihae mothamnida" making sure to carefully sound out the words "And would be used with someone who is either much, much older than you or of a higher status than you."
She continued "The more standard way is ihae mothaeyo" and as before she again made sure to carefully sound out the words "Which would be used with people who are older but not strangers or with people who are your age or younger who you don't know."
She smiled again before adding "And finally the informal version is ihae mothae and would be used with friends."

"Oh, it's not so bad," he was quick to assure her, waving a hand in a dismissive gesture. "If I did what they wanted, they might have left me alone a long time ago, but I figure it's more fun to try to outsmart them. But when I outsmart them, they just hate me more, so it's a vicious cycle. We have a pretty complex relationship." Gesturing to his wraith, he leaned in to whisper conspiratorially, "But it helps when you can drain their energy without them knowing what hit 'em."
His thick brows rose when he was told there were three different ways to say what he had asked. "Oh." Then he laughed. "It's weird...if you don't know Korean, how would you even know there were three ways to say it, let alone who to say what version to? But I guess I'll try sticking with the standard version since that seems like the safest bet." He doubted he would every try subjecting anyone who wasn't a peer to his horrid attempts, anyway.
"Ee-hey mootay-ah," Sinope tried repeating, sounding it out and speaking slowly. Then he tried faster so the words flowed together. "Huh...tricky. I'll get it, though! Just gotta keep practicing."
The term 'friends' caused him to hesitate, but he quickly gathered himself. "Hehehe...well, I don't really have any of those, so guess that's not one I've got to worry about. But thanks, Sadalsuud." He pulled out his compact mirror. "Say, do you know how to use these? I was told we could use them to contact each other. Just thought if you wanted, we could keep in touch. Tell each other where the best places are to set Mirrorwraiths loose and stuff. As...colleages. Fellow members of the same court."
Sadalsuud nodded at Sinope's explanation that it was complex, because it was something she could believe given that the taller senshi's explanation sounded pretty complicated - well at least it sounded pretty complicated to her.
"I guess I'm kind of used to it" she admitted when Sinope mentioned that it seemed kind of weird that there were three different ways to say the words 'I don't understand' in Korean and whilst she noticed the slight hesitation from the other she didn't comment on it, although she wasn't sure what had caused it.
Instead she continued, the friendly amusement was still in her voice "As I'm used to English" because between her father and mother she had always had both languages around her in her life, "But I'm sure that some native Korean speakers probably think that English is weird."
Sadalsuud nodded again when Sinope mentioned the compact and pulled hers out "Yes I was told that too" she said, smiling as she continued "And I'd like that - to keep in contact."
She hesitated for a moment before admitting "I don't really know that many people in the Court at the moment."

"Yeah, it's pretty amazing you're bilingual," he told her, clearly impressed. "Not to mention your ability to speak both languages fluently."
"You're fine; we're both new," Sinope reminded his fellow court member. "But that means that if either of us learn something new, we can tell each other and find things out that way. I think they said to use our compacts, we just have to look at the mirror think of the person we want to contact. I guess if we do, that person's compact will let them know and vibrate or something until they open their own mirror."
He glanced at the sky to check the time. "Oh, shoot, I didn't realize how long I've been out. I better head back. Nice to meet you, though, Sadalsuud!" The Senshi of Slyness turned to go. "See you around!"

Whilst Sadalsuud wasn't sure if she would personally call the fact the she could speak Korean and English both 'amazing', she was well aware that she was lucky to have grown up having both languages around her.
She nodded when Sinope mentioned the time, her smile turning slightly rueful as she admitted "I should probably be getting home too - but it's been great meeting you Sinope."
She raised her hand in a wave as the other turned to go as she added "And I'll definitely keep in contact."
A final wave and then Sadalsuud was also turning, because there was a mirror that wasn't too far away from where they were and from there it would only be a short hop to the alleyway that was close by to her home.
