- Asian Dragon Physiology: Tuyet has the ability to take on the form of an 'Asian Dragon', in other words, a long and wingless serpentine being with four legs. In her particular case, when taking dragon form, aside from white scales her body is also coated in a white like fur.
Her size when in this form is 25 feet long (from head to tail) and 10 feet tall (from front legs to top of horns). The width of her body is approximately 3 feet.
Aside from turning into a dragon, this power also grants her certain abilities that come along with it's physiology, some of which can be used in human form.
Dragon Form - Abilities
- Water breathe: When in dragon form, Tuyet is able to generate powerful jets/streams/bursts/bubbles/mist from her mouth. The power can range from a playful splash to pulverizing stone, leaving dents in metal. There is a limit to how many times and how much she can use until running out for the water used is stored within a special glands which exist within the stomach and throat. Water to fill them is gathered constantly from the atmosphere (through the fur and scales, slower pace) and natural sources (e.g. drinking).
- Flight: As a dragon, she is able to fly in the air for certain periods of time. Due to sensitivity to extreme cold, she can not go up to extreme heights. Also while in the air, her body must be constantly moving to maintain airborne, similar to how a shark must move or it will drown, hence she will always appear to be coiling or twisting if in place.
- Enhanced Condition:
~Enhanced Durability: Higher resistance to physical attacks due to the anatomy of the dragon scales, which are as hard as steel.
~Enhanced Strength: As a dragon Tuyet is far stronger than when human, and far stronger that any animal in existence on earth. This strength goes for all of her dragon body, claws, jaws, head, tail, body everything. You wouldn't want to be coiled up in her grip.
~Enhanced Healing: She can heal her wounds faster than if she were a human. The degree of the wound influences its speed of healing, e.g. a scarp or small cut will heal instantly while a large gash would take maybe a few minutes. Lose of limbs take a day or two.
~Enhanced Senses: All of her senses are superior than those of a human. Her vision, similar to other reptilian animals is attracted to heat, in other words she can see and track any living creature by their body heat signatures even if they are behind other objects as long as the heat is capable of passing through. This vision is selective, she can in a way turn it on and off if she needs too. When not, her vision is that of a normal humans.
Hearing has risen in the sense she can pick up wave frequencies she could not before. Similar to a dog and other animals, she can recognize people by their manner of footsteps from a distance away, simply by hearing. The maximum distance she can hear from is a few miles.
Her smell, is actually the same as that of when she is human. What allows her to improve her sense of smell, is using her tongue to gather more information through taste and smell, like other reptiles.
~Enhanced Maneuverability/Flexibility: Her serpent like body can twist and coil in nearly any direction in various places without causing harm to her body much like a snake.
- Natural Weaponry: As a dragon, her body comes equipped with natural weapons, such as sharp as diamonds retractable claws, sharp and long teeth, two horns as sharp and durable as diamonds on her head, and powerful tail.
Human Form - Abilities
-Dragonborn: As a human she can call on some of her dragon form physiology to help her (except for the flight and water breathe), however she can only use one at a time. For example if using her enhanced condition she cannot use the natural weaponry vice versa.
And some will manifest on her human body a bit differently such as rather than claws her nails grow longer and are stronger. Scales only, no fur. Tail only 5 feet long and horns 1 foot long.
-Knife Throwing: Due to her childhood and boredom in her basement, she is extremely skilled at knife throwing. Her aim is quite deadly.
➳ What are their weaknesses?
General Weaknesses
-Hunger: Tuyet is constantly hungry. Her power taxes a lot energy wise, especially in dragon form. Dragon form hunger wise is worse than human, her craving for fresh meat, literally fresh off bone fresh, is always very high while in or shortly after leaving dragon form.
-Her brother: No matter what form she is in, she will always listen to her brother, or always do what is best for him. Put his safety first.
-Music: She finds it relaxing, soothing... depends on the type. But its always quite certain that she will eventually get lose with the beat if its a tune she finds enjoyable. This is quite effective in calming a raging dragon form.
Dragon Form
-Animal Instinct: In this form her basic instincts, or rather, animallikness is more noticeable. Tuyet becomes more violent, impuslive and relies more heavily on her instincts. The longer she is in her dragon form, the stronger these impulses become, or rather, the less reasonable (less humane) she becomes.
-Extreme temperatures: She is highly sensitive to extremely cold and warm temperatures. In other words, anything that is capable of freezing or instantly evaporating water leaves her more vulnerable as she can not easily resupply her water breathe, however she still will have her natural weaponry. However, her dragon form itself is not fond of extreme temperatures.
-Enhanced senses: With enhanced senses, there is always the downfall these may always be over loaded somehow. Within the city, hearing a specific thing is difficult as her sense is so acute it picks up nearly everything. As for her vision, sudden flashes of heat will leave her temporarily blinded.
Human Form
-Mortal: As a human she is susceptible to dying or deadly wounds etc.
➳ How do they act?
- Tuyet to put simply comes off as naive and childish at a first impression. She does not appear to take things serious or as if she is understanding complicated situations (even though she actually is). One thing about her that is important to not, she has a playful outlook or as slang would put it, she at times may tend to troll, nothing major just for a little bit of fun. On a side note, she is also seen as a glutton, which is for those unaware of her powers, seen as just another part of her childishness. To some, this side can make her come off as immature, especially when she gets too clingy.
If by chance she is not in the mood above, she is on the opposite side of the spectrum which is either deadly serious, violent or angry. In rarer scenarios she can show signs of extreme panic or fear. Due to little social interaction she has never learned to filter emotions at a moderate level, only at extremes.
In general anger and violence only shows when she is dragon form, as a result of animal impulses, or in dangerous situations. Despite how she may act or appear, she is more perceptive about what is going on than she is often given credit.
➳ What's their backstory?
- Senator Noble, while he was still serving in the Military was posted in a Vietnam base for a couple years. Since his two boys were in school, he and his wife had decided it was best for the family to stay in the States, a decision his wife would come to regret years later. The man was only human. He met a mysterious Vietnamese woman with an ability he had never seen before. He came across her by chance. Rather than fear her, he was in awe. One thing lead to another. However, the time came for him to go home. The relationship between the two ended when she found out he was married, however by then it would be too late for her, the consequence was already in effect. Although Noble still remained in Vietnam for some time after, she would never come to tell him of their daughter, Tuyet, snow white, named for her uniquely colored hair.
For the first two years of Tuyet's life, they were that of a normal child. However, it soon became evident that she had inherited the same abilities as that of her mother, although in a small size and with a higher animalistic tendencies. Unbeknownst to her mother, they had been watched for quite some time. A secret government agency (the country for which it belonged they never quite learned) had been watching Tuyet's mother for a couple years but once she was born there eyes had no shifted to her. They saw potential in the child as a weapon, a machine for war against other nations and supers. What better way then to begin from a young age, which they would never have been able to do with her mother. One night, a well trained group was sent in and the two were taken in. Her mother tried to put up a fight, but it was difficult without putting her precious daughter in risk.
The following years would occur in a sort of blur. Tuyet was not separated from her mother to help with the training process, but it was a rewarding system for whenever she behaved. If she didn't do as they asked she didn't get to see the woman. Until the age of 9 she was taught various languages and forms of physical combat. Nothing else was really taught as they agency didn't think it would be necessary for a killing machine. Aside from strict training, she suffered hard testing on both her body and mind. Finally, it got to the point she snapped. She wanted freedom. It may had appeared to them she was submissive for years however she had her mother had be waiting for the best opportunity. It was during this escape that Tuyet ate a human, a man who had taken considerable pleasure in causing her pain.
The escape and the ordeal suffered over the years had greatly weakened her mother. Aside from her, Tuyet had no other family other than the father she had never met. Her mother, finding herself with no choice, took her to find the man she had once been involved with. One can only imagine the look on their faces when they opened the door to them. They were not cruel people, they took Tuyet in, but it was hard, mostly on the wife. Of the family, Jamie was the nicest to her. Somewhat more understanding of her situation that what she made apparent, Tuyet avoided anything that may cause them trouble, doing her best to hide her powers, after all.... she did turn into a dragon it wasn't something most took... well...
For years, she managed to keep things in check, only using her gift when alone in the woods for brief periods, or when slipping out at night for late night 'strolls'. However, when she hit her teenage years, the hormones... everything became worse. The anger, the animalistic impusivness got worse. An argument with her stepmom ended up with her going into full fledged form for a second. The family's reaction? Keeping her in the basement. One might think it was cruel, but, she understood. She herself felt she could not control herself and her biological mother was dead. No one was around that understood her. That could help her. It wasn't all that bad, Jamie would still come and visit her, usually sneaking as his mother wasn't too fond of the idea of a dragon maybe eating him. Her father whenever he had the time, would also take her out to the woods for her to get fresh air. After all, being in a basement for so long can do things to a person... he knew she needed to get out. However, until she could be 'normal' they couldn't risk her being near other people often.
When Jamie left for the military, those were the worst times of her life. She was basically alone. So, when hearing he died, she was devastated. The family, however, allowed her to go to the funeral, which to their surprise, he showed up well alive. While others were shocked, she was joyous. Sadly, he vanished about just as fast as he came. Tired of being in her basement, Tuyet made the decision to go looking for Jamie.
