[General Information]

Name: Evelyn Falk

Nicknames: Ev, Hellcat, Rookie (only called that by George)

Titles:

Age: 27

Birthday: October 28th

Star sign: Scorpio

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Alliance: Villain

Personality: Evelyn is a woman of contradictions. She's laid-back, yet lively. Intense, yet aloof. Impulsive, yet calculating. She is many things to many people, and it all depends on the situation and how she feels at the time.

Overall, though, she's a fun-loving person who hates feeling like she's standing still in life, seeking out thrills and adventure and able to adapt to whatever life throws at her in a snap. She will do what it takes to survive, even if it takes her down an unsavory path, like this one, leaving her cold and angry and bitter, with a deep grudge to boot.

She does have certain moral standards, though, which cannot be shaken. For example, she will not hurt children or put them in danger. Sinestro himself could order her to hurt a child, and she would still refuse.

[Personal Information]

Height: 5'5"

Weight: ~145 lbs

Occupation: Former Navy SEAL

Sexuality: Pansexual. Gender don't matter, honey.

Likes: Alcohol, fluffy or soft objects, music, candles, bath products, nightclubs, her guitar and keyboard, video games, certain cartoons and anime, scaring the crap out of people

Dreams: Used to be that Evelyn wanted to be as good a soldier as her father, and after that, perhaps a musician. However, now... she wishes to create a world where no one will have to experience what she went through.

Dislikes: People who leave others behind, broken guitar strings, overcooked food, lag

Fears: Being abandoned or left behind again. She avoids this by not letting anyone get close enough to do this to her. She's also afraid of being captured by the enemy.

Darkest Secret: She's got a nasty, jagged scar across her stomach, and she tells everyone she got it from a bar fight after defending her at-the-time girlfriend from some creep. It is not from a bar fight. It's from that one time she fell out of a tree while escaping through her girlfriend's bedroom window, and gashed her stomach on a broken branch. Her girlfriend's father had to take her to the hospital.... and he did so while giving her a talk on safe sex and how she could have just used the front door. Needless to say, Evelyn was mortified, and prefers not to talk about it.

Favourite Food: Swedish meatballs.... or maybe venison stroganoff. Possibly beef stew, or chicken pot pie.... If it has meat and gravy, she's pretty happy.

Favourite Drink: Cherry apple cider from Door County, and various wines and cocktails.

Least Favourite Food: Any kind of plain, steamed vegetable. Why the hell do people not add spices to their veggies?!

Least Favourite Drink: Koolaid and other fruity powder drink packets.

Loyalties: Herself, the Sinestro Corps

Intelligence Level: Evelyn's IQ is about 135, making her gifted. On her mother's insistence, she went to college before she enlisted with the Navy.

Dominant Hand: Right-handed.

Strengths: The ability to think quickly and improvise, precision, cooking, music

Weaknesses: Trust issues, doesn't always think things through, can sometimes be blinded by her own emotions, refuses to admit that she needs help sometimes, can't draw for s**t

Cherished Items:
Unit Photo: A group picture of her and the rest of her unit, including George. It reminds her of one of the happiest times of her life, though it now also brings feelings of anguish. She's considered blacking out George's face numerous times, but something always makes her hesitate.

Philosophical/social viewpoint: People need to stop relying on each other so much. They'll only get hurt and let down that way.

Religious viewpoint: Evelyn doesn't know whether there's a higher power or not, and quite frankly, she couldn't care less either way. After all, they didn't help her when she needed them.

Romantic viewpoint: After being abandoned by her unit, she isn't fond of the idea of letting anyone else get close enough to hurt her like that again. She won't turn down the occasional one night stand, though, and she will admit that she feels a bit lonely at times. When or if she does open up and allow herself to love, it will be deeply and intensely, and she will pour her whole soul into it.

Biography
Evelyn was born and raised in Door County, Wisconsin, growing up on her father's tales of being in the Navy. She'd always been enthralled by all his stories of traveling the world on the ships, testing the guns, and all the shenanigans the crew would get up to. She wanted to go on adventures like her father did. So with her father's help, she trained herself into peak condition, and after graduating from college, she went to the nearest recruitment station to enlist, at the age of 21. After going through boot camp and serving on a salvage vessel for about 2 years, she was approached by recruiters and asked if she would like to become a SEAL, on account of her spectacular scores in her regular physical tests. Of course, she accepted.

After 2.5 years of training, she was finally assigned to a unit, led by one George Wattson. His insistence at calling her "Rookie" was annoying at first, but she greatly respected his skills as a soldier and a leader, and he respected her just as much for her quick thinking and her ability to strike fear into their enemies, and they soon became fast friends. They watched comedy movies together every week. She would model poses for his comic books, and he would listen to her play guitar. They even drank together a few times, just staying up late and talking for hours over a bottle of whiskey. They were so close that the other unit members would often tease them about whether they were dating or not. They weren't, of course, though Evelyn would've been lying if she said she hadn't thought about it and dropped a few flirty lines here and there. And she could almost swear that he actually flirted back once or twice. But for the most part, they were just best friends, and that was more than enough for them.

However, it wouldn't last forever. It was a simple mission: get in, kick a**, and get out. But the moment she stepped foot in that building, something felt off. Something was very, very wrong here, though she couldn't put her finger on exactly what it was. She told George that they needed to be careful, that it could be a trap, but he didn't listen, just telling her to continue with the mission so they could get out of here as quickly as possible. And sure enough, she was right. The building was rigged to collapse on them, and when the bombs went off, Evelyn was trapped in the rubble. She's not entirely sure what happened next, she remembers being in a lot of pain and yelling for George, for the rest of the unit, and she remembers him telling her that they were going to get her out, that they wouldn't leave her behind, and the sound of rubble being moved.

But then there was the sound of approaching gunfire, and George was apologizing to her, and she was panicking and screaming and begging him not to leave her here, because she was as good as dead if she got left behind. But she could faintly hear him telling the rest of the unit to move out, and giving her one last apology before his voice faded away. He'd left her to die, either by suffocation, or at the hands of the enemy if they dug her out. Terrified and alone, she waited for death.

When the enemy found her still alive, she tried to fight, but with a dislocated shoulder and a broken leg, it didn't do her much good, and she was taken back to their base as a prisoner. Once there, she was tortured for information. For how long, she didn't know. After a while, the days all seemed to just bleed together in a haze of pain. She didn't tell them anything, though. Part of her training was how to resist torture. She kept hoping her team would find her and get her out of here, but after a while, she gave up. No one was coming for her.

Not long after that, she started severely dissociating as soon as the interrogator entered the room. Seemingly disconnected from her body, she watched as if through someone else's eyes as they hurt her, the pain not registering until they left and she started coming back to herself again. It was agony, but it could have been worse. She did get a bit of satisfaction from listening to the whispers of her guards, though. From the bits and pieces of their language that she understood, she could tell that they were afraid of her, because she didn't react anymore when they tortured her. A demon, they called her, with her golden eyes and face like stone.

She didn't know how much more time passed, but she knew she was getting close to death. She could feel the feverish heat of infection setting into her wounds, feel the agony of hunger and dehydration. She wasn't afraid, though. Death could be no worse than this. But it never came. That night, a bright yellow light slipped into her cell and hovered in front of her, revealing itself to be a ring.

Evelyn Falk, you have shown the ability to overcome and instill great fear. Welcome to the Sinestro Corps.

Without much thought, she accepted the ring, thinking that if it was anything like one of the green rings she'd heard about, she'd at least be able to bring retribution to her captors before she died. But instead, she was whisked away to Qward to be trained. They nearly tossed her back out when they saw how bad a shape she was in, but for whatever reason, Sinestro himself stepped in, and after hearing her tale, ordered that she be nursed back to health. Once she was in top shape again, her training began.

The training was hell, and honestly, she wasn't sure this is what she wanted. But there was no turning back. If she didn't throw herself into it wholeheartedly, she'd have been killed, so she pushed herself to excel, adopting the mindset that since the Sinestro Corps helped her when she needed help (unlike her former friend and her team), she'd be loyal to them instead and offer them her best, letting them twist and mold her the way they wanted. Besides, it still wasn't as bad as the torture she'd faced before this.

When it was time to get into the little pod to face her fears and spark her ring, she found herself facing the conclusion of that dreadful mission again. But instead of allowing herself to be captured, she killed the enemy soldiers, and then hunted her former unit down, killing George and nearly killing the rest as revenge for leaving her behind. With that, the pod opened, marking her a fully fledged Yellow Lantern.

Not long after, she was sent back to Earth with vague instructions: investigate and assess these new heroes.

Relationship explanation

Enemies:
George Wattson | Good | Former friend and unit commander
Though they were once the best of friends, possibly on the way to romance, his perceived betrayal/abandonment and the influence of her yellow power ring has turned her against him. She's not yet aware that he's become a Green Lantern, but when she finds out.... the fight will not be pretty.

Family:
Alice and Thomas Falk | Supporters of Good | Parents
Evelyn is very close to her parents, but hasn't spoken a word to them since she joined the Sinestro Corps. It would raise too many questions and it might put them in danger. So as much as it pains her, she has no choice but to continue to let them think she's dead.

[Weapon information]

Yellow Lantern Ring: Considered by some to be one of the most powerful weapons in the known universe, yellow power rings have the ability to affect and use fundamental forces of the known universe, including electromagnetic energies such as gravity, radiation, heat, light, and powerful blasts of concussive force. It is also theorized that the ring also has a basis in other dimensional energies commonly called magic by users of such energies. The ring can also create fields of force formed from an unknown energy that was bound by the users' will. The limitations of such use are the skill, knowledge and imagination of the user. Yellow Lantern rings harness the power of fear.

Yellow Lantern Power Battery: The Yellow Power Battery is the source of energy for a Sinestro Corpsman's ring, and as such is a vital possession for a Corps member. A Sinestro Corpsman must recharge their Power Ring periodically.

[Other item information]

Item name: Any item that is neither a cherished item nor a weapon would go here. For example armour, med kits etc. Please include an explanation for each item.

[Ability information]

Yellow Energy Conduit: The rings use yellow energy, supplied by a Power Battery, which in most cases takes the form of yellow light. Yellow Power rings, considered by some to be one of the most powerful weapons in the known universe, has the ability to affect and use fundamental forces of the known universe, including electromagnetic energies such as gravity, radiation, heat, light, and powerful blasts of concussive force. It is also theorized that the ring also has a basis in other dimensional energies commonly called magic by users of such energies. The ring can also create fields of force formed from an unknown energy that was bound by the users' will. The limitations of such use are the skill, knowledge and imagination of the user.

Energy Blasts: The ring can be used to fire blasts of yellow energy or create weapons such as projectiles of them. The ring can project beams of force powered by the will of the user. The weapons power is more an indication of the will of the user.

Force-Field Generation: The ring can create various forcefields of various sizes and shapes to protect the wearer and others around him. With the cosmic scope of a Sinestro corpsman's duties, it is only natural that the power ring is designed for operation in space. The ring creates a force-field around the wearer, protecting him/her/it from the hazards of the void including filtration of stellar radiation and microscopic particulate matter which would ordinarily be fatal should the space debris strike the ring wielder at high speeds. An atmosphere appropriate to the ring wielder's biology is created inside the force-field, body temperature is maintained and waste products are removed. Gravitational stresses which could cause injury are stabilized for the ring wielder. Theoretically, a ring wielder could use the ring as his/her/its sole source of life support. The force-field seems to be created instantaneously, whether this is due to programming or an instinctive reaction from intensive training has not been established. It could be considered as a subroutine of the ring's automatic defensive system, but as of yet, this theory has not been proven.

Energy Constructs: The ring can form constructs of yellow energy. The primary function of the Power Ring is to provide a weapon capable of transforming the wearer's thoughts into physical constructs through the wearer's mastery of Fear. A Sinestro Corpsman can create any particular items or construct that they can imagine as long as they have the mastery of fear necessary to will it into existence. The constructs are made out of yellow energy, which is a tangible form of pure fear, and they exist only as long as a Sinestro Corpsman is fueling it with their mastery of fear. Items created by the rings are not indestructible and are only as powerful as the inspired fear of the Sinestro Corpsman creating them. The types of constructs usually reflects the ring wearer's personality.

Instill Fear: the Power Ring is unique in that its base of power, fear, can be manipulated by the ring user. An opponent's fears can be laid bare by delving into their minds. The power only works on the direct emotion of fear. This allows them to create the energy constructs of a opponent's worst nightmare. Also, once that fear is exposed, the ring's ability allows the wielder to amplify the fear to the point of irrationality and true horror on the part of victim and conversely empowering the ring wielder.

Phasing: The Power Ring allows the wearer to pass through certain solid objects, such as walls. Which objects that are not penetrable are not known, but it may depend upon the strength of the wearer's mastery of fear and the density of the object's molecular structure.

Kryptonian Charging: Similar to how the light of a Green Power Ring can be used to create artificial Kryptonite energy to harm a Kryptonian, the yellow energy from a Yellow Power Ring can charge the powers of a Kryptonian or Daxamite.

Environmental Playback: Upon request, the power ring can recreate a holographic environment based on data in its memory banks. The ring wielder can observe events in a ghostlike state, but the ring wielder cannot alter the outcome of the playback. All objects in the playback will appear in the full spectrum of colors, regardless of the wielder's level of expertise creating simulacrum's. The power ring will automatically end the playback if outside interference warrants the ring wielder's undivided attention.

Invisibility & Light Refraction: A ring wielder can render him/her/itself invisible by willing the ring to bend light waves around his/her/its form, as well as that of the power ring. Presumably, a similar action allows an experienced ring wielder to create objects of colors other than green. As Hal Jordan's experience grew, he was able to create power ring illusions of people and objects. It can be assumed the ring wielder would not risk the extra time and effort to create other colors in a combat situation.

Energy Twin: The power ring allows the wearer to create an "energy twin" of his/her/itself that can travel at far greater speeds than that of the ring wielder's physical form. While the energy twin is active the ring wielder remains motionless, his/her/its life force is needed to guide the energy twin. The energy twin can not alter its surroundings, and may only be perceived by another ring wielder as a yellow, ghostlike image. Any knowledge gained by the energy twin is transferred back to the ring wielder's physical form upon recontact with the body.

Energy Absorption: The ring can absorb and store most other energies. Unlike the Green Lantern power rings, a yellow power ring can replenish the normal store of energy the ring has. A ring that needs recharging, but contained a store of electricity could only discharge that electricity, for example.

Flight: By the manipulation of anti-gravitons and directed molecular movement, the ring allows the user to fly at incredible speeds. In atmosphere, a Sinestro Corpsmen has been known to fly as fast as Mach 10 in atmosphere by creating an aerodynamic envelope around his body. Towing others, usually within a bubble, his speed is limited to the twice the speed of sound or 1440 mph. In space, Sinestro Corpsman's speed can be significantly greater and has been known to approach 80% of lightspeed in normal space. Flight is possible at velocities exceeding light speed. In atmospheres, air friction is not a hindrance, since heat is either absorbed or reflected by the ring's field.

Wormholes & Spacial Warps: The power ring grants its wearer access to wormholes in space, enabling the ring wielder to rapidly cut time and distance needed for transport. Black holes can be navigated by experienced ring wielders.

Limited Cellular Regeneration: This ring has a limited ability to heal physical injuries and this seems to be a feature held over from the previous incarnations of the ring. Sinestro Corpsman can use the ring to repair minor injuries in himself or others.

Electromagnetic Scanning: The ring has a wide range of detection abilities based on the imagination of the user. If one can conceive of it, he can probably detect it. Magical effects like clairvoyance, seem to be beyond the scope of the ring. Most normal electromagnetic phenomena are within the range of the ring, including radio, television, infrared, ultraviolet, and high frequency band communications.

Universal Translator: Keeping in mind the myriad of worlds, life forms, and cultures throughout the cosmos, it is understandable why Sinestro added a translation system to the power ring. The power ring can translate virtually any language in the universe, facilitating diplomatic encounters rather than violent confrontations.

Material Alteration: The Sinestro Corpsman's uniform is not made out of fabric. It is created by the Power Ring whenever the wearer wills to wear it. It automatically appears over the wearer's normal clothing, and vanishes when the wearer wills to return to their civilian attire. Most Sinestro Corpsmen wear similar uniforms that are programmed into the ring by default. However, each Sinestro Corpsman is able to adjust their uniform to fit their own needs, personalities and whims. The yellow parts of the wearer's uniform are usually very warm or hot to those who touch it, while the black parts are very cold.

Ring Duplication: Most Power Rings are capable of automatically duplicating themselves. Each duplicate typically shares the qualities and capabilities of the original ring. While the thought of an unauthorized person getting a hold of a power ring and making duplicates for nefarious purposes, their ability to inflict damage is limited because each duplicate still requires to be recharged by a personal power battery.

Emergency Beacon: A Sinestro Corpsman in distress can use his/her/its power ring as an emergency beacon. The alert can be directed to a Sinestro Soldier's neighboring sector, or it can be a Corps-wide alert.

Homing Beacon: A homing beacon in the power ring can lead one Sinestro Corpsman to another. The power ring can be ordered to disguise itself to elude power ring wielding trackers. Most often ring wielders will allow the beacon to signal their location to others.

Mind Alteration: As the power ring relies on thought and will to operate, mind tampering is not impossible, the real difficulty lies in properly applying the power. There lies a risk of catastrophic damage to the mind should mistakes be made. A ring wielder can use the power ring to erase portions of an individual's memories. Sinestro Corpsmen have used mind techniques as part of training. New recruits may be subjected to mind scans by other Sinestro Corpsmen. They are taught to build mental defenses to protect themselves from psionic attack. The power ring can also be used to beam information from the ring wielder to another being. Sinestro Corpsmen have used this technique to share information regarding their enemies during combat situations.

Security Protocol: The rings can be programmed. They can be coded to the wearer so as to make them unusable if stolen.

Preset Conditions: Commands can be stored in the ring to be executed at a later date, even if the bearer is not wearing the ring.

Advanced Hand-to-Hand Combat: Thanks to her time as a Navy SEAL, Evelyn is excellent at MMA-style fighting.

Advanced Weapons Training: Part of her SEAL training involved her having to learn how to use almost any weapon, be it a knife, gun, baton, whatever, including enemy weapons and improvised weapons.

Expert Marksmanship: After years of training with the military, her accuracy is remarkable.

Bilingual: Evelyn knows English and American Sign Language.

[Weakness information]

Recharge Protocol: Formerly, the rings needed to be charged after a period of 24 hours, regardless of how often it was used. Currently the rings retain a charge until they run out of power. This variability ensures that the wearer takes greater effort to keep it charged. Sinestro's ring was originally charged by attacking Green Lanterns, presumably to tap into the yellow light of fear provided by Parallax who was trapped in the Green Lantern's Central Battery for eons. With the construction of the Sinestro Corps' Central Power Battery, a Yellow Power Ring has the same power limitations as a Green Lantern Ring.

Hope Weakness: The transmission and power of one of Sinestro's rings can be greatly disrupted by the presence of a Blue Lantern Ring.

Stubbornness: Evelyn hates to admit that she's wrong, and hates even more to admit that she might ever need help, so she tries her best to avoid situations like this. Even so, she can sometimes get in over her head, and it will be difficult for her to admit that, which may result in severe injury or even death. She also works best as part of a team, but won't admit that, either.

Lack of Foresight: Evelyn sometimes doesn't think things through very well, or a least, in terms of the big picture. For example, she wants to create a world where no one will have to suffer like she did. Problem is, she has no idea how to go about doing that. But is that gonna stop her from trying? No, not really. Best she can do is follow orders and take opportunities on her own as they come. She can usually plan little things just fine, though.

He may also be brash at times when he has to make hasty decisions, or speaks bluntly on his ideas of matters due to how long he's lived his life and seen similar events play out. Along with this, he tends to toy with people when he faces them and they underestimate him, making observations on their attacks and movements while he anticipates their next move. Behind the warrior, however, is a scholar. When ask, he is willing to aid those who wish to know more, and holds a love in seeing people learn and grow through their actions.

Dominant Hand: Ambidextrous
Strengths: Intimidating aura when serious, looks beyond the concepts of good and evil, strong presence, can talk his way out of a problem
Weaknesses: tends to talk if he's fighting someone he's not serious against, lets his guard down when he's absolutely sure that he's won, tends to get lost in his past if he tells someone about it.

Cherished Items:
An old Amulet that bears the symbols of Hades, Zeus and Poseidon on one side, while holding the Slavic gods upon the other. It was an amulet which his mother had made for him several years before the attack on the village, to symbolize his birth being a joining of two differing religions. This amulet rests within his home on the top of a desk, as a memento to why he continues on.

Philosophical/social viewpoint: He bears an understanding that good and evil must be at balance, but not to the point that order or chaos is absolute. He believes that in order for humanity to grow stronger as a species, it must face changes within the order of the world itself. This ideology was only solidified during his view over the Hundred Year War, watching heroes, villains, and warriors rise and fall in the battles that encompassed it. However, he still holds a need to protect the world itself, and will go out of his way to do so if he see's that there is no other choice. Because of this, he does only what he deems necessary while also causing the least amount of casualties, though there are some exceptions.

Religious viewpoint: He holds the belief that all the gods exist, and that each person chooses who they go to. This was only strengthened during his time when he witnessed the events of Wonder Woman's arrival and of the Greek Gods that had made her equipment. The path he follows, however, is the old Slavic paganism, back before the time of its fall from the Varangian courts.

Romantic viewpoint: Despite his own belief that there is someone for anyone if they search long enough, he feels that those who may have ended up being with him have long since passed from this world and has no plans to find love.

Biography
To understand Alegar, we must go back, back to the time of the Knights of the Cross, the Teutonic Knights of old. Deep within a forested region in Lithuania was a village, where there resided a people who held belief's of the old gods. This village was composed of various people who wished to flee the weight of the cross had fled to, and had come from several different lands. Among these people was a young 18 year old man who was the son of a warrior chief and a mother who followed the Greek Gods. These people lived in peace, and worked in tangent to try and keep their way of life preserved. One day, however, a division of the Teutonic knights arrived during one of their festivals, demanding that the village convert to christendom for several days, all the while remaining among the outskirts of the village. When that failed, however, the knights turned to bloodshed. The warriors of the village and the people took up arms against these knights, but were easily overpowered as they were facing a professional army. By the end of it all, only two people of the village remained alive: the young man, and his father, both of which were prepared for execution.

The father was the first to die, being killed in the form of a Blood Eagle, an ancient execution that had been tarnished by the knights as the way of a scare tactic, never uttering a word as he looked to his son, dying with fear for the boy's life. As the knights prepared the boy for the same execution, however, he let out a shout into the sky. He called for the Greek God Erebos, the God of Darkness, to grant him freedom from the hands of this execution. He offered his life in return to being freed if this was done, which now hung on a thread as they moved him to a stand he would meet the same fate as his father.

What happened next, however, sealed his fate. The sun grew dark, and a black hole tore open under him, swallowing him up into a plain covered in darkness. He was soon enraptured in an unseeable force of the darkness, it's tendrils going into his wounds and pushing through them, causing him to writhe in agony from the pain as it seemed to also push into his mind. This torment lasted for an hour, and the boy thought he was to die then and there, but still he pressed against it. Then, with a loud cry, he pulled himself free of its grasp and landed upon the surface he had first arrived on. However, he found himself feeling the tendrils surrounding him again as he fell to his knees, the wounds he had from the battle now weighing him down from how they had been festered. However, what came instead of it's grasp again was a question, the voice echoing from everywhere in a low, but familiar tone:

"Do you wish for power to avenge those you've lost?" is what the voice had spoke, shocking the boy as he looked around the darkness, only to find nothing as he felt what seemed to be a slumbering presence loom upon him. Then he heard various voices whispering within the darkness, making him turn to find those of his people being killed around him, the events that led him near to his death bed playing as if in a recording of his memories as he closed his eyes to try to shut his gaze from it. Then, he reopened them, looking on as he felt a swelling anger in his chest, before he walked towards a memory of one of the knights that was about to cut through a child, slamming his fist into it's armor. He then heard a chuckle as the knight itself shattered, along with the entire area as he felt the voice that spoke to him speak within his mind. He would bear power over the darkness and in return he would mark the world with it's power, forging an understanding of the balance of light and darkness. This, he gladly accepted, and with it he took the title of Alegar through the darkness itself, stripping him of his former name.

With this new title, a deal had been struck, granting him unbelievable power over the darkness that reminded him of the tales of the heroes of old. With this power he took down the group of knights that had decimated his people, using an army of darkness that he commanded through it, and avenged them in a single night. After that, however, he found himself searching for what else to do now that it had been done. As he looked upon the rest of the knight order that the group was a part of, he knew that he wasn't able to do the same actions he did with the group, so he spent his time within the Shadowlands, learning and harnessing the power he could now command. When he had what he believed sufficient power, he turned his gaze upon them to find that the order had long since disbanded. This left him without a cause, and so he wandered the world, learning and understanding what he could as he learned more and more behind his power over the darkness.

His insight, however, came to him from the Hundred Years War, when he witnessed the shifts of power between France and England due to the actions of a single individual, a woman that he hadn't expected to last. Alegar came to the understanding that there must be an order of balance, between the concepts of the empires and governments of the world and how, when an empire tries to expand, the world forces a change into it that tries to halt the process through it. This was made with the actions of Joanne of Arc, as he saw when he was under the guise of a wandering merchant while watching the battle of Orlais.

With this in his mind, he decided to momentarily vanish from the world, overlooking the events of it from the abilities that he had mastered. He watched the events of the world from there on in as he worked upon forging several fail safes for when he would need to take it upon his own hands to change the balance of the world itself if it was forced to not accept it, and watched several events of history. During these events he joined in the fighting while rarely using his abilities outside of keeping himself alive, from joining the battles of the American Revolution to marching with troops through the Napoleonic wars. He even marched with the troops who charged up the beaches of Normandy during D day, witnessing the forces of the world in motion as he continued his own work upon it. He even witnessed the actions of the movements of the Great Darkness and it's joining with the Creator, completely shifting the balance of creation itself as he witnessed it in awe.

Now, he lives under the identity of a Professor Herman Braun, a history teacher who works in teaching at the University of California, and has accumulated his own form of a fortune through the centuries from selling coins and trinkets he had left from his travels through the various lands. His actions through time have made him a myth, a dark entity that has been called "King of Darkness" due to his command over it, and making him a form of idol to those who had also awakened the Great Darkness itself. Because of this, he made a book labeled "Legends in Darkness: The Dark King" that holds several tales that he's heard through the ages that have been based on his feats, along with a speculation and theory of all of them being the same person as each legend held features that were similar to each individual. Through his research into his own history and of the power he possesses, as well, he has learned that the voice he had heard was of his own mind reacting to the shadows, and that it was through his own will and power that he attained his abilities.

He has recently taken a position in the University as a teacher, and had planned to watch events for longer, planning to wait and see if the heroes grew to be more than what they were at the time. However, with the flashpoint paradox, his mind felt a twist within the darkness, a return to his old promise as he felt the bones and flesh that made up his body shake. There had been a rift formed in this world, and it would need to be filled by those who had the potential to become heroes and more, if given the right nudge. He would need to find a way to have these heroes surface, and rise to the occasion in order to stand above others and be an example for civilians to stand on their own feet, and to find their way.

He has recently taken a position at both Universities as a history teacher, with flights arranged and paid for by the colleges for him to move between the two on certain days. He has Gaius take these flights while he himself gets the next classes ready, or works on his own plans. He had originally planned to watch events for longer, planning to wait and see if the heroes grew to be more than what they were at the time. Regardless of what he would have to do to ensure it.

Friends:
Gaius Aurelius | Neutral | Minion
forged from Darkness four hundred years ago, Gaius is a complete copy of Alegar himself and made as a master swordsman and strategist, being made as a double for times when Alegar's life is in potential danger. Bearing a will of his own, the minion serves Alegar to the letter, holding honor and one's word in high regard and not caring who or what he fights, so long as he defends and fights for the man who he is sworn to. His core, a small red gem that rests within him and shifts through his body, is the thing that keeps him alive and from dying outright, allowing him to take more damage than Alegar could and feigning death until the time he needs to appear.

[Weapon information]

The Kings Sword: forged two hundred years ago with the knowledge he possessed, this longsword is made of crucible steel, taking four days to forge and enchant within an ancient forge he had made within his current home. This blade is able to cut through several feet of metal that has tank armor covering it, having been enchanted by Alegar with Dark magic that allows its edge to stay sharp. The enchantment's also allow him to channel his powers through it, channeling them into a single black blade that can cut through both physical and ethereal entities, while also being able to use the blade as a focus point to fire any attacks from.

Gaius Aurelius: Born from Darkness, Gaius serves as Alegar's bodyguard and servant, being granted his own sword that Alegar himself had forged, while also bearing an uncanny resemblance to Alegar himself. As his copy, created four hundred years ago from Darkness with the same physical prowess as Alegar, Gaius is among one of his greatest assets, as his ability to look like Alegar is only one of two forms. His second form is a set of black armor, in which the gem that keeps him stable moves through his body quickly. His own abilities, while in either form, are minimized to four main abilities:
-Umbrakinetic Teleportation, or the ability to use the darkness around him to allow himself to teleport to specific locations that Alegar requires him to be at. Due to he himself being forged from darkness, he is capable of vanishing into thin air without anyone realizing what had happened. With this, as well, he can hide and bring forth his weapon from the Shadowlands if he is required to.
-Umbrakinetic attacks in which he can channel the darkness into his blade and fire a sword beam through each slash. He can also use this ability with one of his hands, but that is after concentrating for at least a minute into it.
-Umbrakinetic manipulation in which he can use the darkness to create a large fog around himself, allowing him to move through it in a flurry and speed that can seem godlike, while also strengthening his body to allow him to take on a multitude of enemies while retaining his flexibility, the most he himself has faced alone being fifty-three soldiers with guns. Outside of this, he can only form as much as a shield for use if he requires it with his sword, or a second melee or ranged weapon (sword, axe, or bow and arrows) if he requires it.
-Darkness Conduit, which means that while Alegar himself is in command of Gaius' body, he can use a fair amount of his abilities that would normally be restricted from Gaius himself.

[Other item information]

The Dark Forest: Within the area of the former village that he lived in, where few humans dare to venture, lies a small mansion that compares in splendor to the old roman cities, a mixture of greek, roman and northern styling that makes the mansion stand out within the forest. This forest the mansion lies within is a place planted by him and nurtured, both physically and magically, for several hundred years, and has remained untouched despite the wars that waged around it. Any who have dared to venture into it soon find themselves back at the entrance, the magics worked within it's growth clouding the direction they go. Only those who have been led through, or those who know the magics within it, may be able to enter to the mansion, which in itself is unable to be opened without the power of darkness that Alegar possesses.

The Eye of Erebus: a silver ring with a black gem in the center, the gem itself too small to notice unless you looked hard on it. this item can allow him to recharge in his abilities if he uses up his power at full, though only enough to allow him to defend and escape. Once it is used, however, the gem planted in it will break and render it unusable until a full day has passed with it sitting in complete darkness, by which time the gem will return. This item is always a last second precaution, and is only ever used sparingly.

War: A horse as black as the night itself, it is a war horse that has been with Alegar since the very beginning, being a mare that he took into the Shadowlands which partook in living within the lands itself. This put the horse and Alegar into having a connection that allows the two to communicate, while granting each the ability to teleport to where the other is at. Because of this, the horse can tell if Alegar is in danger, and will ride to his aid and allow him to escape upon it. The horse's speed is beyond that of a normal horse, bearing enough speed to match a small plane while also able to maneuver through areas with ease.

Alegars Coat: Though it may not look it at first glance, his coat bears it's own magical properties. Within it is an enchantment that allows him to carry a vast array of items, each pocket itself leading to several areas within the Shadowlands. Because of this, he could easily carry items without anyone noticing them, as well as his own sword which he keeps within the inside pocket on the left side of his jacket.

Creature Catalysts/Dark Cores: Gems Alegar has infused with darkness, he can use these to enhance the strength and durability of his minions when he creates them by placing them within the creatures, while at the same time lengthening the time these creatures are up so long as they bear the gems inside of their bodies. When placed, it becomes both a creature's weakness and strongest asset since it becomes the source of their manifestation. Alegar himself keeps five of these on him at a time that are made for simple commands, while he holds one stronger gem for creatures he needs to be at their peak. When removed from a creature after it is destroyed, however, these gems are rendered completely useless, a black sphere being all that remains within the gem itself. Due to the power emanating off of them, as well, they are unable be touched or have anything stick to their surface for long amounts of time. Because of this, they lose any fingerprints that may be on them and end up untraceable.

[Ability information]

Darkness Embodiment: due to his connection to the Shadowlands, he bears the complete control over the darkness in order to do as he pleases with it, granting him abilities and powers beyond the strength of others if he focus' his abilities into it. While he doesn't bear his wide array of abilities outside of the Shadowlands, he can channel what power he has to grant him the same strength as he bears for a time. This allows him to enhance his array of abilities to their highest potential output, but can only be done when he is adamant on this and is willing to push his body beyond it's known limits. This does, however, come with a price: while he may be able to do this for a time, though indefinite in the Shadowlands, he can only use these abilities for a max time of ten minutes while outside of the dark plain, this depending on the amount of power he has at the time. Along with this, he will be unable to use his abilities for a half hour because of the amount of power that surges through him all at once, and will render his body near exhausted through this output. Because of this, it is a last resort ability when he is outside of the Shadowlands.

Darkness Armor and Shapeshifting: Alegar can craft a suit of mystical body armor about himself which makes him invulnerable and increases his strength and endurance to their peak. Along with this, he can manipulate it to change its shape at will. He can fashion blades, protective spikes, hammerfists, and chains, allowing him more weapons than just his own sword. Alegar can also use this armor to change his appearance, including his voice and mannerisms. Against light based attacks, however, this armor can only last around five to eight hits before chipping away.

Darkness Enhancements: With his affinity to the darkness, he can use it to allow himself to gain superhuman abilities, which he has spent a good amount of his time to try to master. Because of the amount of time he's spent, he's gained abilities above those who have held a similar affinity to the darkness, but he knows that he still has far to go with the potential possible. These abilities that he has gained are the next set that are after this. He does, however, only use these enhancements when he faces super humans themselves, otherwise he will stick to only twice or three times his natural abilities.

Durability: while using his control over darkness, he can channel the darkness to strengthen his body to the point that he can take the same amount of damage as a tank shot without getting any more than a bruise from it. The max for this ability, however, can rival those of atlantean and amazonian physiology, and possibly higher if he has need for it.

Super Strength: while using his control over darkness, Alegar's strength becomes superhuman. He has the ability to shatter wood and stone, crush metal, and lift cars with ease. He can stand against and even overpower other supernatural beings with a strength that can be around 150 tons of force if he's channeled into it long enough (his concentration needing to be around thirty to forty-five seconds). While with his other abilities, however, the amount of damage he can do is dropped to 100 tons, whereas the light out right halves the force of his attacks.

Super Speed: while using his control over darkness, he can channel it to where he can increase his speed to be faster than most vehicles, ranging at speeds of 150 mph. When mixed with his super strength, this is reduced to be 100 mph in both running and fighting at max, his actions while fighting against actual opponents ranging around 50-70 unless he's forced to act serious. While in the sunlight or a bright space, however, his speed is reduced to 50 mph at max due to the source of his abilities, the darkness and shadows, being scarce in these conditions.

Super Senses: Alegar has a sharper sense of sight than Humans due to his control over the darkness within his own body. this also allows his hearing and reaction time to increase as well, this extent itself being able to hear past doors that are soundproof if he concentrates hard enough.

Nightvision: Due to his affinity to the darkness, he can harness it to the point where he can see clearly at night, even in total darkness.

Longevity: As one of the few whose life has tied itself to the Shadowlands, he has attained the ability to call his power in a form that allows him to prolong his life and rejuvenate himself, while also keeping his body in peak physical condition. This can, however, only be done in the Shadowlands themselves due to his connection to them, which has him remain in that realm for the periods he has trained.

Umbra-kinetic Creature Creation: due to his connection to the primordial darkness, Alegar has an ability to create different creatures with the darkness itself. This is what allowed him to use an army of darkness during his attack on the squadron of knights who had decimated his village, and has only grown in power as he has aged. Though Gaius is one of these creatures, a majority of them do not bear the free will to move outside of a simple command or what they were designed for. In total, Alegar himself can forge a total ten small minions that can be at least half a meter in height that are weak to a single hit while being fast, three moderate sized creatures that can rest at 1-2 meters in height while being able to take hits that can average a humans defenses, or one massive one that can scale up from ten to twenty meters, it in itself only able to be taken down by strong opponents. These creatures can be any form that he wishes to imagine them in, but only have a time limit of three to four minutes if he hasn't spent the required time to give them a core. Outside of this fact, he bears the ability to communicate to all of his creations telepathically, and can command them through this alone unless the terms of their creations call otherwise.

Dark Core Creation: In order to create a minion that lasts, he must forge a catalyst that acts as a core for the being, a gem from the Earth imbued with the power of darkness. Once this is placed within a creature, it allows the beings which are imbued with the gem a will that coincides to the purpose the gem was made for. It takes a day in order to do so, and during this time he can make a total of four gems at max. However, the higher the number of gems made limits the amount of freedom the creature it's imbued with has, along with it's ability to move without Alegar himself commanding it. Gaius himself was imbued with a diamond four hundred years ago, the gem itself turning red after taking a full month for Alegar to ensure it's power to be as strong as possible, making Gaius among his most resilient creatures. At the moment, he carries five cores on him for simple commands at the moment, with three full powered stones that he carries with him.

Darkness Manipulation: As he has command of the darkness, he can shape shadows and the darkness itself into any weapon or object he may wish. This can include guns, swords, bows, and even bombs, while also including a ramp or stairway, or a wall of defense. These abilities also allow him to summon a fog, make illusionary images, or create obstacles for those who try to reach him. However, this ability is limited in the light to a three meter radius, limiting his defenses and options greatly.

Dark Arts: During his time in control of darkness, he has focused his time in understanding both the concept of the darkness along with the abilities of magic based upon harnessing the darkness itself. Because of this, he bears a form of mastery in the ancient dark magics used by his predecessors, and can use these abilities to view areas of the world or people that he wishes to learn more on. Focusing only on the old magics in forging and enchanting, along with the ability to use the darkness as a looking glass or communication array, he can use these magics to devastating effects.

Dark Arts: Weapon forging: As a warrior and a son of a warchief, this was the very first magic that he learned through the darkness itself through channeling the darkness itself. With it, he can forge weapons to be ten times stronger than their max capacities, while also retaining their edges for longer periods of time. To add to this, he can increase it's potency by placing markings laced with darkness into the weapons in question, allowing them heightened effects while in the dark or allowing them a better way of channeling abilities they're used to. It was through this art that he managed to create his sword, which is the pinnacle of his abilities through it.

Dark Arts: Enchanting: the second ability he had learned through is training through darkness, this allows him the ability to enchant items into various kinds of things, from holding their own pocket dimensions like his coat to creating an item which can change shape. It does not come cheap, however, as it takes him a great deal of time to enchant these items to their needed specifications, the average time for simple enchantments being two days submerged in darkness after he has laid the enchantments in. His own coat took three months to create, itself, and is by far the strongest enchantment he's made. Therefore, he only uses this when he needs to, and when he has the time necessary to do so.

Dark Arts: Communication: The third and final ability he mastered through the dark arts, he holds the ability to use the darkness as a form of communication. He does this through concentrating on imagining a glass panel in front of him, and the item acting like a looking glass for him to see and communicate with whoever he wishes to speak to. This panel itself can vary in size, from being one foot to a three feet radius. It does, however, require his complete concentration, so he cannot fight while using this.

Indomitable Mind: As was key for him to take control of the darkness in such a form as he did when wounded from the events of his village, his mind has the ability to push against even the strongest of forces trying to take it over. Because of this, he is not as susceptible to mind control as many others.

Darkness Teleportation: as one who can control the powers of darkness, and one who has traveled the world several times over, he has the ability to teleport to where he wishes with ease. This is, however, limited to the factor of how long he has to concentrate upon an area, and can only go to areas which he has been to several times, which has been limited to the major cities of America and a majority of the cities in Europe and Asia. Outside of this, he can easily teleport himself and different objects around him if he has the freedom to do so, and can concentrate in the middle of a battle to escape near unwinnable odds.

Swordsmanship (mastery): Born as a warrior, he has trained himself tooth and nail in becoming a great swordsman in his own right, his skill with a sword being among his strongest suits.

Creature Possession: As he holds the ability to create physical creatures, he also bears the ability to take over their bodies and move his mind from his own body to theirs, allowing him to move around with them as he pleases. He has used this ability several times with Gaius when he has potential fear for his life, which has proven true on several occasions over the centuries.

Strategic Mind: with insight he has accumulated over the centuries, he bears the mind of a general and can use this to outmaneuver people when he has to. With this he implicates the actions of historical battles that it may remind him of, tossing his own spin into the mix of it in order to ensure either a victory, draw, or a retreat with minimal losses.

High Intellect and Wisdom: having lived for over seven centuries and learning through the time he's spent on earth, he holds one of the brightest minds of his time while also having the insight to know if an action would prove beneficial or not.

Umbrakinetic blasts: with the darkness around him or under his own clothes, he can shoot small blasts of dark energy that can deal devastating damage to people if concentrated enough. He can even concentrate them into beams if he uses a finger or two. However, in the light this is only to the point that it can blast people back or shake them, limiting his damage with these abilities by a severe margin.

Martial Arts (master): learning under the various forms of hand to hand combat, from the shaolin monks to the old greek fighting styles used by Alexander the great, he has formed his own way of fighting that fits his own form of combat, allowing him more leeway through his fighting if needed.

Weapon Mastery: Having fought in multiple wars, Alegar has an understanding of multiple weapons that he's used, be it from a bow to a rifle, from a slingshot to a pistol.

Healing: While in the Shadowlands, he is able to heal himself of wounds sustained in battle or by facing others. However, he cannot heal himself outside of the shadowlands itself, even when using the full scale of his abilities.

Multilingualism: as he has spent over seven hundred years on Earth, he has taken his time in learning close to every language he could in Europe, Northern Africa, Asia, and even North and South America. due to this, there are very few languages that he doesn't know on earth itself, with an example of this being his inability to understand Atlantean and several other languages.

[Weakness information]

Connection to the Shadowlands: As he has tied his soul to the Shadowlands and the Great Darkness themselves, his power is tied to those lands. Because of this, however, he is unable to use his powers to the degree he can in the Shadowlands and is limited in the variations of abilities he uses. This limitation places him only able to heal himself after a long amount of time, unable to create any creatures any bigger than a mouse or bird, and only able to use his ability to create objects that can only last for a minute if he isn't having direct contact with them. However, his abilities over the darkness are still heightened when it is nightfall or if he's within a cavern or tunnel without light, making him still among the deadliest forces you can face.

Weakness to Light: As he has remained within the Shadowlands for long periods of time, he has gained a weakness to light magic and light based attacks. As such, weapons and attacks that have been imbued with or are concentrated light can damage him to where he can't immediately heal from them, while highly concentrated beams can end with wounds that can potentially kill him, though his own armor can be able to defend against a few hits of this magnitude. The only way for these wounds to heal is either naturally or by him returning to the Shadowlands to be encompassed by the shadows there. Along with this, he can be rendered powerless if held under high powered beams of light for a long period of time with little to no shadow, though he can still communicate to War and Gaius through his own mind due to his link with them.

Creature possession: While he has control over his minions while he possesses them, he bears no connection to his body and can't move until he returns to it. This also makes him liable to being killed or knocked out, making it a key moment for someone to take him out if they wanted.

Energy consumption: While it is true that his abilities are vast in their own right, they have their own faults as they use up what energy he himself has. while in the Shadowlands, this is near miniscule. However, while out on Earth itself, he can only maintain his abilities for a total of eight hours before needing to eat or refuel his abilities. When he's using his full abilities, however, he can only maintain it for ten minutes at most, after which he cannot use his abilities until he either eats or waits for thirty minutes for his abilities to return. If he tries to use his abilities during this wait time and actually manages it, however, the after effects WILL be fatal, if not near.

Enemies in Light: as a user of darkness, it is only natural that his enemies are those who are of Light Manipulation or of Light Embodiment.

Repercussions of using his full abilities: He can only use his full abilities without restriction for ten minutes outside of the Shadowlands without rest, but the moment those ten minutes are up is when he is vulnerable. He will be unable to use his abilities for a full half hour, making him open to being attacked and killed if he hasn't laid waste to his enemies or has escaped by then.

Titles: Omega
Aliases: Julio Lopez, Gabriel Rubio, Julio Vega
Age: Eighteen
Birthday: September 5th
Star Sign: Virgo
Gender: Male
Race: MetaHuman
Moral Alignment: Evil
Personality The entirety of Rivera's character is hard to distinguish based on how he lies and tricks people for a living. He is capable of convincingly portraying friendly and flirtatious, timid, vulnerable and scared. For the most part though, he is a level-headed, strong-willed and independent young man. Though he is a mercenary and an assassin he is by no means stuffy and has a sarcastic sense of humor and an ever-present smile on his face. Unlike Deathstroke, who he was trained to be superior to, Julio enjoys having fun and and enjoys the thrill of his job. Despite this friendly personality, Julio realizes that there is a time and place for everything. When he worked under the LoA, Julio was known for getting the job done in the quickest most efficient way possible and became their best assassin within weeks. Likewise, if it comes to it, Julio is able to kill in cold blood as though it were as natural as breathing and will feel no remorse after the fact. It should be noted though, if Julio doesn't think he'll win a fight, he has absolutely no problem withdrawing from it.

Dislikes: Bugs, The Cold, Being restrained, Feeling weak
Fears: Spiders, Being Buried Alive, Losing Jorge or Letting Him Down
Darkest Secret: There is a part of Julio that truly enjoys snuffing the life out of others. The thrill that he gets from killing is a thrill unlike anything else and he's afraid that one day it'll take over.
Favorite Food: Beef Stew
Favorite Drink: Orange Soda
Least Favorite Food: Sushi
Least Favorite Drink: Grape Anything
Loyalties: To say that Julio possesses a loyalty would be just as easy as lying and saying that he has never killed anyone. It's a lie. While he may not be against aligning himself with others in order to achieve a common goal, he has never once placed his trust or loyalty in them. Now despite working alongside others he is always ultimately looking out for himself and his own survival. If things become too drastic while he's aligning himself with others then it is not out of his nature to initiate a tactical retreat without saying anything to his partners. Having said that, should an individual actually gain Julio's trust and friendship than there is nothing he would not do in order to make sure his friend survives with him.
Intelligence Level: As a child prodigy, Julio has gone through most of his life without trying hard intellectually, and with a family of scientists, it was only natural for him to pick up on certain subjects. The bulk of his intelligence is more on the psychic side though. Due to his telepathy he possesses advanced cognitive and mental abilities allowing him to organize and construct his thoughts at accelerated rates, process data at high speeds, construct and formulate his thoughts with vast quantity and quality, project ideas and impressions into the minds of others. His intelligence level currently stands at two-hundred and forty-three [243].

Dominant Hand: Right
Strengths: Close Combat, Assassinations, Telepathic Combat, Self-Preservationist
Weaknesses: Better Trained fighters, Stronger Assassins, Superhuman Combatants

Cherished Items:
Worn around his neck and kept beneath his catsuit is a silver necklace with two dog tags currently on the chain. These dog tags have the names of his little brother and of a girl he failed to save from the League of Assassins. On the back of her dog tag are the names of every member he failed to save when he escaped. Their names are there so that he can carry them with him always and never forget the sacrifices they made.

Philosophical/ Social Viewpoint:
Only the strong survive and the weak live only by the mercy of the strong. Such was the teaching of the League of Assassins, drilled into his head from his childhood. This viewpoint has stayed with Julio all his life and now he believes it to true in light of his own life. If one wishes to change their life they simply need to get stronger and if change cannot be made then they must learn to optimize their strengths and cancel out their weaknesses. If you decide to help someone weaker than you, you must be prepared to accept whatever consequences occur as a result.

Religious Viewpoint:
Despite being from a religious family, Julio's belief in a higher power has dropped significantly because of his time with D.E.A.T.H.S. Seeing as no higher power, nor any assistance from a good Samaritan [i.e Batman] was enough to free him, he believes nothing helps but one's own strength. Does he still believe a higher power exists? Yes, and mostly because he knows there were some assassinations that he survived simply by the skin of his teeth, i.e - he shouldn't have survived. Having said that, he is still teaching his little brother about typical Roman Catholic beliefs so that the boy doesn't view the world in the same way that he does.

Romantic Viewpoint:
Let the record show that Julio fully understands and comprehends romance. However, in his line of work romance has never been something of an option. Romance and in turn love have only ever been used by him in order to get what he needed out of a target or a person close to his target. He's never been given the time or an opportunity to actually pursue a true relationship but he's also never thought about doing so either. There's simply no time to fit romance into the life he currently leads.

Biography

D.E.A.T.H.S - Deliver. Excellent. Assassinations. To. Horrible. Scum.

An organization run in the underground world of Gotham, borne out of the League of Assassins Stronghold that catered specifically to children ranging from ages four to nineteen. Its purpose was to create more child weapons that could be used without fail and the reason for this was simple. Slade Wilson and Damian Wayne represented the pinnacles of what could be done through training on both sides of the age gap. Since both assassins managed to either leave or escape the League, replacements that could be controlled were necessary and thus D.E.A.T.H.S was born. All members of D.E.A.T.H.S were children given up by assassination targets in order to stay alive and those members of the League that managed to bear children immediately lost them to D.E.A.T.H.S. Every child or teen placed into D.E.A.T.H.S immediately received injections of an altered version of Slade Wilson's DNA that would aggressively strike the child's own DNA in an attempt to overtake it. Only those who possessed strong enough bodies were able to fend off certain death via injection and after surviving they were immediately placed into the N.S.S [New Slade System]. Julio Rivera , however, was a special addition to D.E.A.T.H.S as his uncle, and various members of his family had done the scientific work needed to grant average humans the genetic mutations via Slade Wilson's DNA.

At the age of four, Julio was writing system programs for D.E.A.T.H.S security under the pretense of "learning to write a video game code" for his Uncle's elaborate facility. By the time he had turned seven a family trip had been planned in order to "begin his new life." The "trip" took a turn for the worst when his parents drove off a cliff into various rows of trees below, and while the gamble to see if Julio would survive was high, he pulled through only to wake up within an underground base alongside other children near or within his age group. Each child was told that if they wished to see their parents again, they would need to survive the training they'd be put through, along with any means of testing administered.

Julio and the other captives were put to work. Friendships that formed in the training facility had broken because of an order to fight until only one survived, and when freedom rested in whether or not they performed well, children that would have never hurt a fly became killers. At the top of the food chain, was Julio Rivera. While he would laugh, smile, and play with the others, when it was time to get to work, he acted mercilessly and would not hesitate to seize a chance at victory. When it seemed as though there were no others in the facility that could take on Julio and come out alive he was put up against members of the actual LoA. Initially, he had lost each of his fights, but the losses were only because he was not used to fighting actual adults. By time of his fifth fight, Julio had snapped the Assassin member's neck, broken four of his ribs, and dislocated both of his shoulders. That one battle served as his first kill in his entire life. The children he had fought before had not died, but had been placed into comas because of Julio's knowledge on the body and its functions. While the children all awoke within months, the male he had killed remained dead. Strangely enough, after he had killed the male, there were no tears. No remorse, and no regret.

From there, it was decided that Julio was the perfect candidate, and after being brought before his superiors, a computer was placed in front of him. The same "game code" he had written as a kid was in front of him once more. This time, the ones who had placed it in front of him were both of his parents and his uncle. Initially, he wanted to run and hug them, but guns were pointed at him, and so with orders given to him, he finished the game code. Later that day, the game code had been revealed as the N.S. S that had killed multiple amounts of children before his eyes. After dismantling the guards that attempted to quell his rage, he went after his uncle, only to have the N.S.S injected into his neck as he grabbed the male by his throat. The room grew dark and within moments he had blacked out. When he awoke, he was shirtless, and strapped down to an operating table with multiple scientists around him. They had begun to clap, for as time would tell, he was the only one to survive having the N.S.S injected into him. What they did not know was that the N.S.S had awakened the dormant MetaHuman gene that resided within Julio's genetic code.

From the day of his fifteenth birthday, he was transferred into the LoA [League of Assassins], and from there he began to gain an understanding of just what the New Slade System had done to him. Enhanced abilities in every aspect had made things easier for him, but harder in response to the missions he was deployed on. It also didn't help that he could hear the thoughts of everyone around him but he would cope in order to do his job, practicing with his powers on the side as needed. Assassination contracts were given to him, and while he did not want to do them, they were all completed without hesitation. Prime Ministers, Ex-Council Members, Aristocrats, Ex-Parliament members, and the list continued. Each one of his targets had been killed in such a way, that the authorities in each country, city, etc could not identify what had caused their death, but assumed suicide. He had become a killer, and on his fifteenth birthday, he grew tired of the treatment he was receiving, and the treatment he was sure the League was putting other children through. On a visit back to D.E.A.T.H.S, he was greeted with the same disgusting sight as when he was a child. Children throwing up blood and dying from the physical trauma of taking part in the New Slade System.

The failed test subjects were labeled as Alpha, with Julio being named Omega because he seemed to be the end product of their testing. On a routine clean of the LoA's systems, Julio downloaded and saved all of the League's information onto a us for his later use for in the days to come everything would change. On a simple training exercise to show the kids how the real world was, a revolt began lead by none other than Julio. Within two hours, they had completely taken over the D.E.A.T.H.S facility and realizing that it could just start again, Julio killed the man who had orchestrated everything. His uncle. His parents were given death promises should they attempt something like that again, and when the children were all evacuated, the underground facility was destroyed.

On his sixteenth birthday, Julio made a blood oath with a child within the former D.E.A.T.H.S program. He would go across the globe and eliminate the assassins that he could in whatever hiding places they remained in. The very first trip, took him to the Secret Service of the United States. His next trips involved the KGB, and various assassinations of LoA members across the globe. When the LoA had finally gained wind of Julio's betrayal a permanent hit was placed on the young man. They gave him the codename La Muerte [Meaning Death] and were told to approach with extreme caution because was A.E.D [Active and Extremely Dangerous]. Having finally been freed from the LoA hold on him, he began his life a new, though is never truly able to return to a normal life because of the things he saw, committed, and learned. It's been two years since his complete liberation from the League of Assassins and since then, he has made quite the name for himself as a mercenary and as a contract killer. As of late though, he's been seen at the side of Owlman.

[Relationship Information]

Friends:
Thomas "Tommy" Wayne, Jr. | Evil | Business Associates/Self-Proclaimed Best Friends
As Tommy would say, "they aren't friends" and Julio is perfectly okay with that because they're actually BEST friends. However, he's pretty sure that he knows far more about good ol' Tommy than anyone else. Hell, he gets away with calling him Tommy so there's gotta be some form of a something there. The two met thanks to The Penguin hiring Julio. His job was to kill the man dressing as a bat despite the recent disappearance of Batman. Needless to say it quickly became apparent that the male before him was not the Batman that he had been hired to kill. Julio was then offered more money and a better career in the long run should he work for him. So he's been at Tommy's side ever since.

Enemies:
The Bat Family | Mostly Good Guys | Enemies
Julio holds hatred in his heart for the entirety of the Bat Family, new and old. The proclaimed "protectors" of Gotham allowed D.E.A.T.H.S to go on for years right underneath their noses. Batman, his Robin and their associates each had some kind of tie to the League of Assassin. Yet, they all managed to fail to notice that children were going missing and if the greatest detectives on the Earth had noticed, they chose to do nothing. The amount of children that died in that facility will forever haunt Julio and as result of all of this, he will never forgive the BatFamily or anyone who dons his symbols for what they let happen to his life and the lives of so many others.

Family:
Jorge Espinosa | League of Assassins [Formerly] | Adopted Brother
A relationship born out of comradery; Jorge Espinosa, now age 7, was a boy who was placed into D.E.A.T.H.S alongside Jorge. Unlike Jorge though, the boy had no family to call his own and as such, when they took over the facility, had nowhere to go. Having disowned his own family, Jorge made a blood oath with the young boy, promising that the two of them would remain brothers well beyond the end of time. Since his freeing himself of the League of Assassins Julio has been taking care of Jorge full time. The money that he earns from his contracts is put into a secret fund for Jorge so that in the event that he is killed or must leave the boy, there will be more than enough money for him to survive without worry for the rest of his life.

Romantic Relationships:
Selina Kyle (Catwoman) | Evil | One-Sided Crush
Does this even need an explanation? If someone has seen Selina Kyle then they'll understand why he has a crush on the Queen of the Cats.

[Weapon Information]

Catsuit: The red and white catsuit that Julio wears was a suit made by the LoA that was ultimately stolen by Julio. Despite its skin-tight appearance, the red and white catsuit worn by Julio is made of high-density polymerized titanium that serves as flexible armor, and has resilience to heavy artillery. The Catsuit is also able to resist various kinds of high-intensity flame, even that generated by superhumans, and is likewise insulated for when dealing with colder environments. In a similar sense the catsuit protects him from some blunt force trauma, allowing him to battle those possessing Superhuman Strength for a short amount of time. It is further enhanced with tiny suction cups that allow him to cling to walls and even ceilings.
  • Nanite Tech: Woven into the fabric of the catsuit are small nanites that operate in tandem with his thoughts. These nanites are able to repair his costume and restore it to it's original form before any fights, burns, tears, etc occurred. So long as a piece of the catsuit remains intact, the rest of it can regenerate like that of his healing factor. Likewise, the nanites are also capable of discharging electricity on command with his thoughts. This is typically used whenever Julio has been grabbed during combat.
  • Utility Belt: In comparison to utility belts worn by Batman and likewise other members of the Bat Family, the stolen utility belt he wears only comes with a small amount of items. These items include a 50GB USB, a mini re-breather, a grappling hook, smoke pellets, fire extinguishing pellets, wing-dings, and small flash bombs.

[Ability Information]

Telepathy: Before being an assassin, Julio is a Metahuman. Julio's metahuman ability allows him to affect and manipulate the minds of other sentient beings. He can read minds and communicate mentally with others over long distances. Despite being a self-taught telepath, Julio's power in telepathy is unmatched by many. Julio is also capable of using deep and subtle influence. Julio is also capable of displaying various psionic feats with the minds of others including reading and communicating with thoughts over vast distances, controlling the mind of weaker humans and detecting the mental presences of those around him. Using a combination of these methods, he can also interpret unknown alien languages and slowly begin to learn them. The strength of his self-taught telepathy is so great that he is able to psychically dampen his pain receptors in order to prevent himself from feeling pain. He is by no means on the level of a being like the Martian Manhunter but he is quite powerful in his own right and can put up quite the psychic fight against someone of the Martain Manhunter's caliber. While utilizing his telepathy, Julio's eyes glow white.
  • Psionic Blasts: Julio can project psionic force bolts which have no physical effects, but which can affect a victim's mind so as to cause the victim pain, unconsciousness, or even death.
  • Telepathic Cloak: Can mask his presence from being detected by others. His abilities can at times go undetected or be counteracted by other more powerful telepaths depending on their level of skill in using their own psi abilities.
  • Telepathic Relay: Other wise known as a telepathic link. Julio is able to use his telepathic prowess as a relay station for a group of minds, who can then "speak" to each other through him. It goes without saying that it is impossible for him to hold a relay with beings that are not on Earth and if they are in another city or state it takes a considerable amount of energy to hold the connection.
  • Telepathic Tracking: Enhanced psionic senses enable him to detect and track other sentient beings by their unique psionic emanations especially if they pose a threat to his well-being in his immediate vicinity.
  • Absorb/Download Information: He has the ability to quickly process, learn and store information via mental transference. In a similar sense he is able to place large amounts of information in another's mind like the knowledge of how to do a cartwheel for example. Due to being self-taught, this is by no means a pleasant experience for those whose mind he's delving into. Some of his targets have died from the mental trauma after having the information stripped out of them. As of late he has been learning to do this more carefully so that valuable targets do not die immediately.
  • Astral Projection: Julio can project his astral form from hisbody onto astral planes or the physical planes. In the astral plane, he can mentally create psionic objects and manipulate the aspects of his environment.
  • Telepathic Camouflage: The ability to telepathically mask himself, and other peoples' presence from those around him. Can telepathically disguise himself, making his appearance to those around him quite different (changing the appearance of clothing, etc).
  • Empathy: An offshoot of his telepathy would be Empathy. As an empath, Julio can psychically feel and perceive the emotions of the those around him. Through their emotions he is capable of discerning their mental states.
  • Psychoscopic Awareness: This newest ability brought on in recent months; Julio possesses the ability to read the mental impressions left by events in the fabric of time and matter. In essence, this allows Julio to replay the events that occurred at a given location using only the residue mental energy. As mental energy fades over time, there are times when he can only piece together half of what may have happened at an event and other times in which all he is able to see is someone running away. He can also extend the awareness to other people, showing them what he sees.
  • Psionic Siphoning: He is able to siphon the psychic energies from other psionic individuals (telekinetics or telepaths). Julio can then use the stolen psychic energy to boost his own powers or channel the energy into someone else, in order to augment their own powers.
  • Psionic Immunity: Julio has been shown to have an immunity to certain psionic attacks such as; mind reading, illusions, and telepathy. While he may not always be fast enough to protect the minds of others, his own mental defenses have been reinforced repeatedly over time. His telepathy keeps him more aware of the fact that they exist, though he may not always be able to defend against them.

Artificially Enhanced Physiology: Due to the League of Assassins enhancements on his body through the N.S. S, Julio Rivera's physiology was changed permanently. Through intense training, specialized diet, and biofeedback treatments, Julio has become one of many who represent the pinnacle of human physical prowess. His physical attributes exceeded that of any Olympic level athlete that has ever completed. Having begun his physical and mental training at the age of seven, he's gained total control over his body, similar to that of the man whose DNA was injected into him.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor: With an enhanced ability to heal damaged tissue, the rate at which Julio's body recovers from injury and capable of being repaired before death. As such, Julio's body can take a tremendous amount of punishment before succumbing to death. Simple gunshot and stab wounds, cuts, and broken bones can heal faster than normal. He was once impaled clean through his chest with a blade, and while it did not stop him due to his endurance training, it did greatly slow him down and cause great pain.
  • Enhanced Immunity: Julio's regenerative abilities have some affect on his body's ability to process through harmful, foreign substances and he has become naturally immune to deadly poisons and illnesses.
  • Enhanced Reflexes: Julio possesses enhanced reflexes. The speed at which he reacts allows him to dodge fast-moving projectiles such as arrows and bullets. He can usually out-react even the fastest humans. He is shown to be able to scale city buildings, can leap the length of a rooftop, and maneuver the through the air in battle with ease. Julio is also capable of performing somersaults, front and back handsprings, and all while in motion. Having been to make his entire body a weapon, he is able to twist, bend, and contort himself into positions nearly impossible for an ordinary person to achieve.
  • Enhanced Speed: Julio is able to run at speeds of up to 45mph and long distances far out-performing any Olympic athlete.
  • Enhanced Endurance: His endurance is comparable to that of the finest Olympic Decathlon participant. Julio's lung capacity is so great that he can hold his breath underwater for 2 minutes and 15 seconds.
  • Enhanced Stamina: Rivera can exert himself at peak capacity greater than any human could. He is able to go for 4 days straight with no sleep. Granted, the longer he stays conscious without sleep, the less effective he is.
  • Enhanced Strength: His entire muscular system was hardened and strengthened making Julio many times stronger than an average human. His strength is sufficient enough to press about a 1 ton with ease.

Master Hacker: Thanks to both his high intelligence level, and the consistent training via D.E.A.T.H.S, Julio has become something a skilled hacker. He is skilled enough to hack into both Wayne Industries, as well as Price Industries, although his skill doesn't stop them from tracing whatever device he uses back to him.
Weapons Proficiency: Although he is not known to use close combat weapons, Julio's incredible reflexes and hand-eye coordination allow him to wield weapons very efficiently. Julio is skilled with swords, knives, nunchucks, and staffs. His weapon proficiency even allows him to make a Sai (A traditional Japanese weapon) out of paper with enough sharpness on it, to kill someone with a quick jab to the throat.
Multilingualism: Due to the various missions Julio was deployed on during his time in D.E.A.T.H.S, he has learned to speak Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Mandarin, Korean, and Portuguese proficiently alongside English and Spanish as well.
Stealth: Julio's Ninjutsu training has also made him capable of breaching high security facilities, offices, cities, and countries without being easily detected.
Hand to Hand Combat (Advanced): Julio trained in hand-to-hand combat growing up in D.E.A.T.H.S facility, and when he was sent across to various countries, he proved himself to be one of their best special-ops fighters. He is so well versed, that he is able to go up against multiple trained military personnel with his hands bound behind his back by rope. Having been trained so that he could one day go up against the Terminator, his combat prowess is not to be looked down upon.
Acrobatics: Although not on par with persons like Batman or the Robins of old, he has shown to be a proficient acrobat, and has used this skill to survive fatal falls by rebounding off building sides and somersaulting to create more drag.
Expert Spy/Assassin: Julio is a dangerous agent trained in espionage, stealth, disguise, infiltration, and demolitions. He displays an uncanny affinity for psychological manipulation, partially because of his telepathy, and can mask his real emotions with little to no effort at all. His talents and years of experience enabled him to reach a high ranking as an agent of D.E.A.T.H.S, and later allowed him to become a high-valued target for the League of Assassins.

[Weakness Information]

Programmed Sleep: As a fail-safe program, all members of D.E.A.T.H.S had code words or phrases implanted into their subconscious. Once the word or phrase is repeated aloud to the operative, in this case Julio, he'll blackout for an undisclosed amount of time. During this time, he can be ordered to do whatever the person wishes of him, save for killing himself, and he will follow the order without fail. The phrase that puts him into a trance like mode is "Luz de la muerte" meaning "Light of Death."
Entomophobia: Entomophobia (also known as insectophobia) is a common fear of or aversion to insects and similar arthropods, and even other terres bugs. This condition causes a slight to severe emotional reaction, a form of anxiety or a panic attack.
Pediophobia: Pediophobia, also known as the fear of dolls, is a relatively common kind of phobia. It is an anxiety disorder that can be associated with a range of dolls from old-fashioned china dolls and porcelain dolls to dolls that talk and move. A porcelain doll in the right place will easily get Julio to turn tail and run away from the area.
Children: Every person has one thing that will stop them at all costs and for Julio its kids. No matter what Julio will never fight or harm a child. For him to have his childhood stolen, he refuses to do anything even remotely similar. He would stop in the middle of a fight in order to save a child.
Human Clause: For all of the modifications made to his body, Julio is still essentially a human being and as such can be killed and wounded like one.
Emotional Influence: While there are not many things that can suppress his telepathy, the main factor that proves to be the most difficult are his emotions. When Julio's emotions are out of whack, he can't concentrate, and usually finds himself helpless. His powers have a direct link with his emotions so when confused or afraid of making mistakes, or just being scared in general, his powers shut themselves off. Even if Julian suppresses his fear, he is unable to connect with his powers until he admits he is truly afraid.
Mental Overload: For as strong as his powers may seem he is still a telepath by nature with the same telepathic weaknesses as everyone. For starters, too many thoughts at once will cause him to have a massive migraine before passing out from the pain if he cannot mitigate it in some way. In a similar sense, if a mind, like the Joker's for example, proves to be too much for him to handle he'll receive a powerful mental backlash of psionic energy that may or may not knock him unconscious, and at worse, put him into a mental coma. When in this coma, only a telepath rivaling his own abilities would be able to bring him back faster than his mind simply repairing itself slowly. Likewise, when dealing with an unstable mind, Julio runs the risk of picking up any mental disorders that they may have if he does not tread carefully when searching their mind.
Astro-Limits: Julio is only capable of spending a small time [4 posts] upon the astral plane before he must rejoin his ethereal form with his physical one, lest he succumb to corporeal deterioration leading to bodily death and eternal suspension as a spirit. The physical form remains in an inert, death-like trance, vulnerable to both physical and magical forms of harm while the astral form is absent. If harm were to befall his physical form while he was in his astral form, he would be stranded in his wraith-like state until placed back in his body by another magic user.
Psychic Sponge: When it comes to his Empathy, Julio is in a class of his own. Where most can redirect or control the emotions, or feelings attached to memory that they pick up from others, Julio absorbs them all like sponge. This absorption can not only alter his mood, but also stun and overwhelm him depending on the strength of the emotion. Then, as if adding insult to injury, he is not, for lack of better words, a "true" empath. He cannot manipulate the emotions of others, merely feel them.
Psionic Siphoning: First and foremost, in order siphon the psychic energy of another being, he must be making physical contact with them, similar to that of the Parasite. Secondly, in forcibly taking the psychic energy of another in exchange for augmenting his own abilities, he must deal with the consequences of temporarily overloading his own body with energy. The consequences range from a bloody nose, migraines, passing out, slipping into a psychically-induced coma, or at the worst, death. Furthermore, when siphoning off the energy of others, it's quite possible for him to become "high" off of their energy, driving him to take more and more energy until the energy overloads his body and kills him on the spot. Lastly, the siphoned energy does not remain with him permanently and gradually disappears as the person he takes the energy from recovers naturally.
His Little Brother: Jorge means the world to Julio and as a result, is his greatest weaknesses. Should someone manage to get a hold of the boy and use him as leverage, Julio would do whatever was asked of him in order to keep the boy alive and well. It goes without saying that he would turn on anyone if it meant saving his little brother.
Tickling: Julio is very ticklish.
