At first glance, Oliver looks one in the same with his twin brother Shiloh. They got the same face; he looks aloof and angry and aggressive. It’s a skin deep statement, because they’re actually quite opposite. Poised, perfected, punctual: That’s Ollie for you. He’s never late for an assignment, never slacks a step in his routine, and he’s a meticulous stickler for detail—he’s a pretentious goddamn hardass is what he is, and he's fine with the label. He's got no time for you if you're not going to take this s**t seriously, and let me tell you, everything is serious. In fact, he's going to take it so seriously that it'll basically be the gospel, so don't be surprised whenever he runs himself into the ground. He'll pick himself back up. Probably.
▄ ▄▄XXX · · · ·TROUBLE ░░
Smack dab in the center of Oliver, running vertical into the ground, is a fault line. No one knows when it’s going to go off, but damn if he isn’t due soon, because it’s been a while. Oliver lives the life of expectations; he has to be the best, nothing less. It isn’t some innate, ambitious desire, it’s because he made the mistake of setting those bars too high and now he’s scared to fall short of them.
His anxiety is a mess, and he actually is pretty damn aloof because he can’t slow down enough to have meaningful relationships, or because he judges others for "putting in half of his effort". It’s hard work all of the time, and he’s got no room for distractions. Problem is, despite how capable he might be, he’s ******** tired. His brother was his one line of support, but Oliver runs off to college and suddenly they lose contact. He comes back and finds out his twin can barely remember him? Bullshit, there's something going on here, and damn him if he won't find out what. Only thing is that his patience is an absolute time bomb, and he's running out of gas.
So he's moved back to Ashdown, but that comes with its own slew of issues. He's back to a life of expectations because he knows these people and they know him. Wanna know the funny thing about expectations? It's conformity. It's fitting the perfect mold, and he's gotta reach those heights, except?. Alright, well he’s mostly come to terms with his sexuality, because he’s tired of fighting it and his brother is Bi and nothing bad seems to happen to him, so ******** it, being gay is okay. But gender? It would be one thing if he felt strictly one way or the other, but that just doesn’t match. Hell, he feels like neither, and that’s absolutely ******** confusing and exhausting.
Oliver doesn't know who he is, and Shiloh literally doesn't know who he is. and he's back at square ******** one. Wonderful.

XX◦◦ ⤿ Bottles, drawers, pockets… it’s all fair game when Oliver has a headache, because no matter the location, he can always find an ibuprofen when his head is hurting.
XXTASTE THE RAINBOW ◦◦◦◦ riser power
XX◦◦ ⤿ Oliver's perception of magic has slowly shifted over time, and now it results in a variety of different (and often times overwhelming) assaults to his senses. Magic now manifests as "auras" to him (for lack of a better term), and the way he processes each individuals magic is as unique as their own fingerprint. Every castor has a different flavor/color/sound/texture to their magic, though never more than one specific stimuli. To that end, he has no control over how it's presented or interpreted by his five sense. Someone's magic might be describable "a bright sky blue" while someone else "smells like sharp brine" while someone else can be summed up simply as "rough, like sandpaper". Oliver cannot tell if a person is magical in nature at a glance; he can only perceive their magic as it's actively being cast. He cannot turn this ability off, much to the dismay of his already frequent migraines.
XXI'M GOIN' GHOST ◦◦◦◦ beyond power
XX◦◦ ⤿ Oliver now, at will, has the ability to become ethereal. While like this he basically functions as your "average ghost"—he's somewhat transparent and has the ability to phase through otherwise solid objects as a result of being non-physical—but overuse can have a variety of negative effects on his body, such as temporarily losing the ability to become ethereal in general and/or moderate damage to his body as a result of his atoms getting all scrambled (nausea, spontaneous bleeding, fatigue, slower wound regeneration, ect.)
XXTRASH PANDA ◦◦◦◦ were power
XX◦◦ ⤿ Oliver is now a full fledged were, and this means he now has access to everything your typical run of the mill moonwalker does! His apparent animal-side is the raccoon, and his half shifted form affords him heightened senses, furrier parts, and a little extra sneak in his step. Of course, he still has to deal with being an actual raccoon once a month, but it isn't so bad.
XXRACCOON MOSH ◦◦◦◦ riser were bonus
XX◦◦ ⤿ Raccoons now recognize Oliver as kin. It doesn't really bother his activities much, sans for when they show up at his doorstep in the middle of the night begging for food.
XXTHESE SENSITIVE HANDS ◦◦◦◦ beyond were bonus
XX◦◦ ⤿ Oliver now has the sensory advantages (and disadvantages) of his particular were-side at all times, no matter how far out the full moon is or which side of the divide between worlds he is on.
XXWARD OFF THOSE BAD FEELS ◦◦◦◦ bonus power
XX◦◦ ⤿ Oliver has a basic understanding of wardwork and can now construct simple, three symbol wards. Each ward can only service one effect and must be periodically refreshed to maintain usefulness.
XXREANIMATED ◦◦◦◦ bonus power
XX◦◦ ⤿ Oliver can reanimate deceased mundane creatures. This isn't the same as bringing them back to physical life, as their bodies will still continue to rot until they're essentially magic skeletons with their souls attached to a frame. That being said, the initial casting is the most strenuous part, and as such Oliver can't revive multiple creatures at once without significant strain on himself. Size also has a bearing, so while you won't be seeing any undead horses galloping around, you can bet Other Ashdown is about to get an large influx of skeleton cats.
XXSNEAKY SNEAK ◦◦◦◦ meta 4 consequence
XX◦◦ ⤿ Oliver will find that he can now spot pathways into Other Ashdown at will--and that magical beings tend not to notice him unless he wants to be noticed.
XXALL-SEEING ◦◦◦◦ Chel mini-plot bonus
XX◦◦ ⤿ While carrying one of All-Seeing's eyes, your own eyesight is a bit better than average and can see further than a normal human's could. Shiloh was in possession of such an eye and gave it to Oliver for safe keeping.
XXGLOSSY ◦◦◦◦ 2k16 valentines bonus power
XX◦◦ ⤿ Never will you have to worry about chapped lips ever again! Your lips are always perfectly moist and at peak kissing condition.

XX◦◦ ⤿ Ollie is aware of deaths around him, from little bugs up to megafauna. Should a human being be dying within twenty feet of him, he may choose to intercede with their "death" and prevent it, creating an "undeath bond". Quote Shibe should you wish to use this power.
