The Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park runs for two miles from Dempster Street on the north to Touhy Avenue on the south and displays more than 60 sculptures by artists of local, national and international reputation.

Saturday MARCH 24, 2012 at 12:30 pm Jillian was strolling through the park looking for some inspiration for a painting she she wanted to do. The park had lots of artwork itself and was fairly relaxing in it won right. She had a sketchbook with her in case inspiration hit. Though now she was wishing she had grabbed a coffee before coming here, but alas she was already a fair hiking distance groom her car. It was a warm day for March so she was out in a black band t shirt and jeans. At the school where she taught she had to keep most of her tattoos covered so whenever she got the chance she would let them show. Yaroki late night post bed now XD

Releasing a large yawn Brooke took a sip of her coffee, she was supposed to meet a friend from work but they'd yet to show up. Suddenly her phone went off alerting the young woman to a text. "Ugh why pick somewhere way out here if you're not going to show?" Brooke asked a loud wondering if she should head back or look around a bit. It was her first time visiting this park, quickly weighing her options the young hero shrugged her shoulders as explore a little won. Of all the arts Brooke had to admit sculptures were the ones she understood the least, as some of these looked like the artist gave up and called it done. Looking at one called "the hero", the young woman couldn't make heads or tails of it. "Wow I should make sculptures if something like this is good." Though not intentional Brooke spoke louder than normally, causing her to quickly sip her coffee sheepishly.  dream as if you'll ( live ) forever

Saturday MARCH 24, 2012 at 12:37 pm Jillian was examining a sculpture when another girl perhaps only a bit younger than her approached less than impressed about the sculpture. "Well do the same with paint toss a few buckets at a canvas bam thousands of dollars, it not necessarily in how or what it made of it more how you see it is what gives it value. While you might find this piece silly and frankly I do too, some one else can be inspired to create something on their own by it or it could just be the like how it looks." She explained still looking at the sculpture then after she finish she smiled at the girl to show she was friendly and not too much of an art nerd. Yaroki dear god this takes me back to my college years XD

Brooke was taken by a moment of surprise at the sound of another voice. However at the woman's comment on painting the young hero couldn't help but giggle. "True but unfortunately my artistic talents are in my own movements and voice as opposed to making things." The young hero responded to the tattooed woman returning the smile with one of her own. "Do you happen to have experience in throwing paint? Or do you just enjoy looking at it?" Having come out to see if this place was all it was cracked up to be and socialize, she thought might as well try socializing before heading home. dream as if you'll ( live ) forever

Once more the woman got Brooke to laugh, though this time it was more due to irony. "What a pair we make I can't do a thing on canvas but you can; likewise you claim to be less than graceful in tone or movement while I excel at those areas." Laughing a little more at her own words a realization hit her, the young woman had forgotten something that would've gotten her in trouble not long ago, her mother firmly believed I manners. "Oh by the way I'm Brooke nice to meet you Ms Art Teacher. If you ever need an assistant for performing arts let me know." Brooke said holding out her hand, it may seem silly but given she was far from her family little things like this helped her feel closer. Sipping her coffee again Brooke wondered if maybe she should go become a performing arts teacher. This woman seemed to be in good spirits, but could she really juggle being a hero with a job like teaching. Maybe a normal job wouldn't work since crime doesn't exactly fallow a 9-5 work schedule. "Well trying to get a room of hormonal teenagers to do projects i can somehow grade without half of them being artful d**k pics, it's definitely entertaining." She said with a smirk. Listening to Jillian talk about teaching Brooke couldn't decide if it sounded horrible or amazing. Sure dealing with teens would be tough but seeing them succeed at doing a dance or getting a song right would be great. But the hours still left much to be desired as being a hero was her primary focus. So unless she found a school for heroes to learn their powers and regular school, then again that kind of thing only happens in comic books. She thought with a smile, "wow you totally sound like a mom or something. Talking up your students even if they don't do more than circles" Brooke couldn't help but laughing a bit more before sipping her coffee. Laughing felt good yet it also made the young hero feel guilty though she didn't show it. She wondered if her sister would've been a good teacher. dream as if you'll ( live ) forever

Jillian replied "I pretty much am the punk mom, though I more of a metal fan. Well what is it you do? You still seem young enough to potentially still be in college, or you look young." The question of what she did surprised Brooke a bit, it was almost funny. She had just been wondering what she was going to do with her life. "Actually right now I'm taking a break from school; so I just do odd jobs while trying to figure out what I want to do." Scratching the the back of her neck and smiling she continued. "That's why I was asking about teaching, I finished liberal arts in college but I'm totally lost on what to do now. " Laughing at her own inability to choose a career, it was more than a little pathetic in her mind which is why all she could do is laugh. dream as if you'll ( live ) forever

Saturday MARCH 24, 2012 middle of the day "Its more personally rewarding than financially rewarding." Jillian said. "Totally should peruse the acting thing. Takes time and dedication to do it but hey they always need new faces with talent. Though singing is more open of a market than it use to be." The young girl was pretty and could go places with that. "I sorta limited myself with the tattoos. Not too many profesiobal jobs like tattoos." She didnt regret them at all. Not like she couldn't hide them in an instant. She wasnt to uber professional type anyways, she was more the down and dirty type but with paint. Yaroki I've worked with way worse in my years or rping. You're just fine. XD

To say she hadn't thought of pursuing a acting or singing career would be a lie, yet she couldn't help people if she wasn't aloud privacy. "I would love to be an Actress or make music but I have a community service project that demands a lot of attention. It may not sound glamorous but it is close to my heart. Unfortunately it doesn't pay the bills, thus my career dilemma." Brooke couldn't help but laugh a bit at her situation, she was really having to choose helping the people or herself. The mark of a hero some might say. "I don't think your tattoos limit you, Jillian. I mean if you go out there and become some hotshot artist people would adore your tattoos. Of course if you do become famous don't forget the gorgeous indecisive girl you met in the park, kay?" This time the young hero chose to joke with her new friend rather than at her own expense. "That said if I somehow become a famous actress or singer I'll be sure to thank you on camera. I'll tell everyone while accepting my first award that this awesome tattooed art teacher told me to go do it." dream as if you'll ( live ) forever

Saturday MARCH 24, 2012 middle of the day "Oh may I ask what is the project is?" Jillian asked interested. "I've done murals for charities. Have you seen the one on charles street? That's all me. Well a few hand prints near the bottom from a kid that really wanted to help." She smirked when Brooke mentioned they should each mention each other when they are famous "Sadly in this day and age it hard to follow artistic passions, not impossible though." Yaroki we should totally have something happen that makes them reveal their powers to each other. spice things up. pm me if you got an idea. ill think of one too

It wasn't much of a surprise when Jillian asked about the community service project, unfortunately Brooke wasn't sure how to say she saved people. While some older heroes may have been able to answer easily, this young hero was at a lost. Just as she was going to make something up fate chose to intervene. A scream from further in the park and the rushing of people towards the source. Looking around quickly to see if anyone but Jillian was close to her. "I'll show you but hold this please." Brooke took off her jacket before stepping away from her new friend as her body began glow blue. Luckily she had made lead lined pants and boots to match her one piece, so as her body and hair took on their neon blue glow only her t-shirt burmed away. Kicking off Atomic Bombshell shot off towards the situation; it was simply boy stuck in "ANDREW MACGUFFIE – MUNICIPAL WATER CARRIER". Normally it'd be a simple fire rescue but the fire department was having trouble getting close due to the sculptures. It took but a few minutes to fly there save the kid and fly back to Jillian. Returning to her normal self Brooke looked a bit sheepish at the art teacher. "Can you guess my project? Three guesses and if you're wrong first two don't count." It wasn't like Brooke cared about hiding her identity as much as not getting in the limelight. dream as if you'll ( live ) forever
