Incanthis was sitting on the floor in his room, working on the task that was patching up the clothing for the twins. The two of them lead very active lives, one of them working with a bunch of beasts, and that lead to clothing that needed a lot of patching up. It was a rather monotonous task but one that Incanthis actually enjoyed because it was rather relaxing. The only thing that broke up that relaxing feel of the sewing was when he pricked him accidentally with the sewing needle. Save for those occasional mistakes though it seemed to be going well. "Once I get these done I think I might move on to working on something for myself." He'd gotten some rather beautiful blue cloth while he was getting the cloth for the patches. It was a pretty color, a nice deep color, one that he looked forward to making something out of. He just had to decide what it was that he wanted to make for himself. It would be something new, comfortable, and nice for walking around in. It would need to be airy as well so that the heat of Oba wouldn't get to him too much. Junior lifted his head from where it was resting on one of Incanthis's knees, looking up at him, then gave a little chirp as though agreeing. The emerald whelp let his eyes close again, looking as though he might doze off again when he was suddenly lunging up to his feet, giving a squealing sound before he rushed for the door. It was the reaction that said that his siblings were back. Pushing to his feet he set his work aside and said, "I'm coming Junior, give me just a moment and I will open the door for you." He unlocked his door, opening it up, and the whelp went rushing by, off to find the others, chirping all the way. Giving a little smile Incanthis moved to follow along after him at a quickened pace.

Abie walked back into the estate on the heels of his Caretaker. Kii was laying on the back deck with the other adults as well as the growing Janarim litter that was born alongside them. Borqet ran ahead when they entered into the great expanse of the back yard. Laqet looked up and stared long and hard at the whelp. Borqet slowed to hunker down as his father rose to circle him. Abie sighed. "Laqet, don't get mad at him...I was the one who gave the order." When he said the last few words Laqet snapped his jaws by Abie's side. Showing his displeasure at the scent of blood on his whelp. Orrio spoke up instantly. "Laqet...your whelp sliced open Parthlio's arm." At the mention of whose blood it was, Abie found himself being pulled by Kyri so the female could nuzzle all over to make sure he was okay. Abie snuggled her as he stood back up, hearing Junior he chuckled as Laqui ran ahead to tackle his brother. Abie caught up to him excited to see Incanthis. "Incan!" the youth ran up the steps to hug the elder shifter. Orrio called out behind him. "Abie, make sure Incanthis takes a look at your face. Parthlio hit you rather hard there." Abie slowly looked back to the elder as in the background his brother had turned the corner and had to be hauled off by Laofay before a scene was made.

Incanthis came upon the scene and heard a bit of what was going on, something that caused him to go a little stock still. Wait... what? One of the whelps had attacked someone? That was worrisome, did that mean the baby would get in trouble? He didn't quite think so given that nobody seemed to be upset with any one whelp. So maybe it was going to be alright? He hoped so, he wouldn't want one of the whelps in trouble for biting when they were so little still! Before he could really ask what was going on he found himself getting dragged into a hug by Abie, something he returned unconscious, "Welcome back, Abie..." His words trailed off as Orrio called out that Abie needed to get his face looked at because he'd been hit 'rather hard' as Orrio put it. It had his eyes going wide as he broke away from the hug so that he could start to inspect Abie's face, taking in the bruises now, and set to carefully checking him to see if anything was broken or if bruises were the worst of it. "Geez... In Serin's name... are you alright? Abie! What happened?" He asked as he reached into the pocket of his robes, fetching the string of beads that were within it. Once he had it he wrapped it around his hand, lifting it up so that he could gathering magic for a healing spell.

Abie sighed as he tilted his head to allow the Shifter to examine him. "I only got hit once..." he said as he leaned into Incanthis' touch. "My...old master came to me. Said he wanted to see how I've grown." he shivered as he felt the fear creep back in. The male started to shake a little, leaning more into Incanthis as he didn't feel secure right now. "Borqet...had him, Incan. He had him under his claws...he would of honestly killed him...I couldn't...Incanthis..." he whimpered.

Now there was a terrifying experience Incanthis thought to himself. The idea that his old master had returned... he wasn't sure what he would do if he ran across Muata or one of the others from his past. He would likely panic among other things and it would seem as though Abie was shaken himself. Knowing what he might feel himself he could sympathize with him at the moment. Wrapping one arm around him he hugged him closer, resting his forehead against that of the younger man, and gave him a smile, "I'm glad that you're alright after all of that... well... for the most part." He said as he released the spell he'd gathered power for, allowing the healing energy to flow through Abie. As Abie spoke up, telling him that he wasn't able to kill the man even when one of his whelps had the man in his grasp. He gave him a gentle smile, stepping back a little bit, and said, "Good. That isn't what you want for them and not what your family wants for you, Abie." He told him, glad that he hadn't allowed his anger at the former master to cause him to stain himself with blood. He wondered for a moment about Aqio, what he would think of it all, but he wasn't here at the moment so he would have to see how he was doing later. "Do you want to sit down and rest, Abie? We can go to the courtyard so that the whelps can play and you can sit in the sun, take a breath, and come back from what you had to deal with."

Abie felt something push him towards doing something he knew the other would recoil from. So, the youth fought it down while nodding as he leaned on the Shifter. He clicked his tongue at the whelps, the whole group trilled in reply before skittering ahead to secure their usual relaxing spot. Lithe dashing into the estate while coming back out with a blanket that was from the whelps growing nest. Abie would have to figure out how to transfer the nest to the back of a wagon, he had a few ideas... As he led the Shifter out to the courtyard he let out a deep sigh. "Incan...I think Aqio would be upset with me...he's always said that monsters like the one who had us didn't need to breathe." he teared up again. "I'm scared of him abandoning me..." he couldn't help that fear. Aqio was the type that kept to what he said...

Incanthis watched as the whelps were gathered with a whistle, the lot of them moving in a group toward the courtyard a few steps ahead of the two of them. It seemed as though they were more then ready to go and play, which made him smile just a bit before his attention went back to Abie once more. Knowing that the whelps were going to behave and go to the courtyard instead of scatter or play games was good, it meant that they knew that Abie needed a moment to breath. It meant that he wouldn't have to go chasing after them because they wanted to make a game of it. Once they were out in the courtyard, the door closed so that none of the whelps could think of making an escape, he turned to him and gave him a gentle smile, "He's your brother, he will understand." He said, wanting to believe that. Even if Incanthis was terrified of his own brothers, certain that they all hated him for his many sins, this was far different. Aqio couldn't hate Abie because he decided not to sin, that would be too cruel. Lifting a hand he rested it on his head, ruffling his hair in a gentle manner, and said, "Abie you are far, far too young to think for even a moment about shedding blood or killing. You should instead of focus on better things, on training your babies, on having fun, not thins like that. It's a thought that could consume you and that man isn't worth it." Now if only he could follow his own advice... since he knew that he couldn't personally he could instead hope that Abie would do so in his stead. Withdrawing his hand he said, "When he gets home you should talk to Aqio, I am sure he will understand. He loves you after all."

When Incanthis had said, 'your' Abie's mind interjected with 'our'. Incanthis had been around the whelps long enough that they were somewhat trained to react to his words as well. Though the water male didn't feel the energy to correct Incanthis just yet. "Your forget Incanthis, I lost track of how old I am..." he chuckled. He honestly didn't, but trying to convince others he was older than he look had long been a pain in his hide. As they walked into the courtyard he instantly went to one of their favorite trees and laid out. Lazily waving Incanthis over like the spoiled child he was thought to be...

Incanthis made a circle around the courtyard, making sure all the doors were closed, made sure to count the number of whelps twice, then glanced toward where Abie was sitting and lifted an eyebrow, "Even if that is the case, Abie, I still know for a fact that you're too young to think of stuff like that." He said, clicking his tongue at the younger man. He knew that Abie was trying to act older and he would allow him to get away with it because he was at least smiling again. Walking over to him when he saw him wave a hand at him he moved to settle down next to Abie. The moment that he did so though Junior was shuffling over, climbing over Abie and then onto Incanthis, laying across the pair of them, chirping up a storm as he did so. Crossing his arms on Juniors head he rested his head on them, "They're getting a bigger, aren't they?" He pressed a kiss to the top of Junior's head before looking over at Abie, giving him a smile. "We are gonna have to train them not to crawl on anyone else but us or someone is gonna get crushed by their affection."

Abie nodded. "Junior...off. Your heavy." his command wasn't...harsh. Just a warning. He was already a tad shaky still. Laqui chirped rather harshly at his brother. The paler sibling explained the full situation they just came from. Abie needed Incanthis near him right now...the monster scared their surrogate parent. Abie blinked. "Laqui, easy." The youth could tell that Laqui was stressed from the situation. He slipped out from under Junior to stroke and calm down Laqui. Noticing that his hand shook a little he sighed as he ran a hand through his hair. Borqet walked over slowly, Incanthis would see that the whelp had blood still on one claw. Abie glanced down and a shaky breath left him. "Borqet...come on. Let's wash that." he took the whelp over to a nearby water basin. Kneeling as he washed off the claw. He felt himself breaking with every swish of the water. "You were never meant to be bloodied...never meant....I'm sorry..." he leaned on the whelp. Shoulders shaking as he silently cried. "I'm sorry."

Junior turned to Laqui, giving a little hiss in return between sharp teeth. Not that he was against anyone in particular, he just knew that when others were shaken up that Incanthis would get shaken up too. Empathy could be a powerful, painful thing, and Junior wanted to be at his side... but since Laqui seemed to be so insistent he moved. Well, ninety percent Abie telling him to move and ten percent his brother, but still it worked out to him moving in the end. He moved to flop down at Incanthis's side, tail thumping against the ground in a grump manner. It seemed the mood was palpable and was effecting everyone in the courtyard. Incanthis turned to the emerald whelp, about to tell him to behave himself when suddenly Abie was moving off. He turned is head to look that way, taking in the blood on Borqet's claws, then pushed up to his feet. He moved to close his distance between himself and the pair that were at the water basin, taking in the manner of with Abie seemed to be shaking as he leaned on Borqet. He gave a soft sigh, feeling that it wouldn't be that easy for Abie to just brush aside, especially not when masters were involved. Taking a knee Incanthis reached out, wrapping his arms around Abie, and dragged the young man over to him, hugging him tightly, "It will be alright, Abie. It was just a little blood, Borqet isn't stained by it, neither are you." He murmured in a soothing tone.

Laqui snapped at his brother just a little. Junior was so caught up in being nowhere near the one who raised them, that the slightly smaller whelp was starting to get irritated with his so-called sibling. Before much else could be conveyed between them, Lithe's small frame was instantly in the space blocking their views of each other. A sharp rather loud hiss from the extremely small thing was rather shocking. It shocked Abie. Who wiped his tears as he held onto Incanthis. He looked at Lithe in mild shock. "He can be loud?" shaking his head the youth took a deep breath. Keeping his body calm and willing the fear to that part of his mind he always locked it away. He found his center, looking up to Incanthis he thought of something. "Incanthis. I'm never leaving you." As he made this small promise the youth leaned up to capture the elder's lips in a gentle kiss. He quickly pulled back to hold the other as he blushed all the way to the tips of his finned ears. Crap. He most likely just sent Incanthis off on a panic attack.

Incanthis glanced at Lithe, then gave a soft laugh, "It's always the ones that you least expect." He murmured, amused that one of the smallest of the whelps had decided to get between the hissing brothers to stop their arguments. It wasn't something he'd of preferred but at least for the time it had seemed to stun Junior and Laqui into silence. Hopefully it would be a lasting one as the last thing they needed at the moment was for a fight to break out between the siblings. He glanced at Abie as he spoke up, "Huh?" He was never leaving him? Kind words he supposed and ones that he would like to believe. He supposed that only time would tell. Before he could think of anything else to say other then 'huh' he found himself being kissed by Abie, something that startled him more then a little. He shifted, as though he were attempting to push himself away from Abie... but given their position and his awkward footing he ended up pitching over backwards, dragging Abie along with him, the two of the ending up in a tangled heap.

Abie felt the other push back, intending to let go before the two toppled. Reacting quickly one of his arms had slipped to catch Incanthis' head as the other tried to brace Abie above the other. His eyes were wide and he felt slight panic. He screwed up he totally just screwed the heck up and now Incanthis would avoid him like the plague. As they laid there tangled, Abie was partly figuring out how to untangle their limbs while trying to think of what the heck to say. He was halfway done with the talking bit when he felt something lay over his back. He turned his head to Borqet. The whelp sat there with his tail draped over the two males. Abie stared at him. "Borqet. What are you doing? I hardly think this would be a comfortable napping position for either of us...please move the tail." the whelp didn't move. Abie let out a long breath. "Incan....I'm sorry...I...I don't know why I kissed you. I'm sorry it scared you. That's...not what I want to do. I never want you to fear me..." as he spoke the youth looked back to the Shifter.

Incanthis's mind was in a panic. It wasn't that he was upset with Abie exactly, it wasn't that he wanted to lash out, instead he had just gone stock still. It wasn't him at all, it was the position that they found themselves in... with Incanthis pinned in a manner that made it hard to breath. He didn't like it, being pinned down, unable to escape, and despite knowing somewhere in his mind that he was in a safe place there was a part of him that was still panicking. He could barely hear Abie's voice over the sound of his heart pounding in his ears and his own slightly ragged breathing. There was that part of him that wanted to yell at Abie, to tell him to get off... but he didn't knowing that it wasn't Abie's fault. Not to mention that Abie was having a rough day himself. He didn't want to be the cause of more issues for him... so he could do nothing but sort of lay there while trying to talk himself down from the panic attack he was having. Giving a shake of his head he finally found words and said, "It's fine... it's fine..." Wanting to reassure Abie, but also himself, while trying to figure out an escape strategy. To add to the problems at hand though was Junior as he turned from Laqui and Lithe, seeming to forget about them for a mount, so that he could round on Borqet. The green whelp gave a hissing sound before he started to snap his teeth at the bigger whelp, as though in an effort to chase him off of Incanthis. His charge was being squished and Junior didn't like it, to the point that he was about to start yet another fight about it.
