The Results Are In!


Hey members! As some of you may have noticed, we've released quite a few polls recently! Thank you to those who voted! Some of these polls have contained extremely important matters, including changing a few aspects of the battle system! We wanted to give time for consideration and voting, and now, the results are finally in! So, please read below to see all the changes that will be implemented as a result of the recent polls!

Start Up Fakemon Fixes

As most of you know, we had a poll for whether the start up fakemon could be revised by their creators in order to fit the guilds current standards. These fakemon were carried over from a past guild so that the guild would have fakemon to begin with, without needing to hold a contest immediately. However, because they didn't undergo the same process as the other fakemon we have, they aren't all as thorough, and some were put together more hastily. As can be seen in the poll, the overall vote was to allow some revisions. These revisions will be released with the fakemon giveaway, which will be put out shortly, once the entries have had their final revisions and their sprites made.

We want to give some previews of the edits that are being planned, so that members can know what to expect:

Larverra has had breeding information added and elaborated behavioral and biological information. Additionally, it has also had tutor moves added.

Aklor had it's movesets adjusted, with some moved to tutor moves. Swift swim in the evolutions has been edited to sheer force.

Chifaera will have a revised moveset, and a pre-evolution added. We realize this is a large revision, but please remember all revisions to all fakemon will be heavily reviewed by the mods.

Finally, Mareve will have some minor level-up move pool changes, namely Mareve learning Air Slash at 30, and Bounce at 37, and Maveretta no longer learning bite, and now learning Fly at 30 and Fire Fang at 35.

Again, we want to reiterate that these changes will be carefully reviewed by the mods. We appreciate your permission to allow the creators to revise these, and we hope the changes will make them more enjoyable and fitting for the guild. Battle System Changes
In a recent poll, it was decided (by a very close vote!) to change the defense component of the battle system! This will only change the order of calculations at the end. Additionally, it was clarified that recoil is calculated based on the final damage dealt. This means that less damage dealt would be less recoil.

Defense calculations are reorganized so that the defense buff is at the end of calculations.

This means that an attack that deals damage as such: 80 + 40 [level attack boost] = 120 x 1.3 [attack stat boost] = 156 x 2 = 312 - 40 [level defense boost] = 272 x .7 = 190.4 = 190.4 = 190 damage

Is now calculated as: 80 + 40 [level attack boost] = 120 x 1.3 [attack stat boost] = 156 x 2 = 312 x 0.7 [defense stat boost] = 218.4 - 40 [level defense boost] = 178.4 = 178 damage

so that defensive tactics can have a slightly better tactical effect.

Thank you again to those that voted and gave feedback! These new systems will be implemented effective immediately, and will be edited on the Battle Page. We understand that this could take some getting used to, so mods will allow some leeway in gym battles; if we see you use the old system, we will not require you to change immediately, but we will remind you. After a few months/battles, however, we will begin enforcing it, and request you edit before approving the battle : )
