Western Medical Tent
On the West side of the festival grounds is a sizable white tent with an admittedly poor red cross painted in the center of the triangle made by the tent structure. It's pretty clear what it is, one of the two medical tents set up to care for injured attendees or those suffering from heatstroke.
It's clear that Renegade Media cares about the safety and health of their patients because, were someone to glance inside, they would see a well stocked tent with a few rows of pop-up beds and a decent amount of staffing.
If you which to interact with a NPC medic please quote nuxaz. Otherwise, interact with one of the volunteers or stumble into the tent and see who can aid you!
(Please use the forms found in the main even thread when posting!)

Character Name: Tom Wolf Location: Tent entrance Action: Getting to the tent to start volunteering
It seemed that Tom had been the first to arrive at the tent, volunteer-wise that is. He had been giving a walkie talkie, map, schedule and the shirt he had already pulled over the one he had on. At least he hadn’t worn a jersey today.
It seemed that there were a few medics who were already there at the tent and he was glad that they had professionals working along with the volunteers. It would be interesting to see how they handled things, and he would be able to talk to them too hopefully at some point. He greeted one of the medics with a nod and a smile. “Hope I won’t be in your way too much but I really hope I can learn a lot from you guys.”
He was glad though that the tent seemed to be quite a bit aways from the music. He wouldn’t be able to stand staying here for long if he got a pounding headache from the, usually too loud, music.

Character Name: NPC Nurse Location: Tent entrance [Action: Showing Volunteers around the med tent!
Renegade Media took events seriously and had provided at least one certified nurse and a competent doctor in each of it's tents. And they'd also looked into making sure that most of their volunteers were CPR certified and understood the basics of first aid. Of course, they weren't expecting any sort of major injuries and had staffed appropriately as a result.
There was a middle-aged woman stocking the rolls of bandage wraps in the supplied cupboard near the front of the tent when someone entered the flap. Immediately her dark eyes darted over toward the man and a once over told her that he was a volunteer, the shirt was an obnoxiously bright color and terribly hard to miss.
"Ah perfect," she declared in a shrill, matter-of-fact voice and grasped at his sleeve. "Come, finish stocking this from these," she gestured towards the boxes surrounding her feet.

Character Name: Kit Paine Location: Tent entrance Action: Asking what he can do to help
Kit came over wearing the event team shirt and looking over the schedule he'd been given, his walkie talkie and map tucked into the back pocket of his pants. He had a small bag slung over one shoulder that already been checked at the front entrance of the festival.
The teen doubted they would be expected to do much, but he was prepared nevertheless. He had taken a Health class in high school that had granted him CPR certification, so he was confident in that aspect as well as keeping calm under stressful circumstances. Besides, they had actual professionals to help if something really did end up going wrong and major medical assistance happened to be needed.
Though he was unsure of where he was supposed to put his bag, Kit finally decided to set it down in the corner of the tent where it wasn't likely to get in the way. Then he glanced around to spot one other volunteer and a dark-eyed woman stocking rolls of bandages in a supply cupboard near the tent opening. He walked over wearing his usual, characteristic grin.
"Mind if I help?" he asked. "Or is there something else I can do? One thing I can't stand is being bored, so feel free to put me to work."

Tom was surprised as he was suddenly addressed by a somewhat high-pitched voice and then his arm was grabbed and he was told to finish stocking what was in the boxes. Well, at least I have work to do. He thought to himself as he gave a smile and a nod towards the woman. “Sure, I’ll get these done right away!” If he didn’t start this event feeling positive the whole thing would drag on and he had volunteered here for a reason after all.
His attention was drawn away from the stocking for a moment as another person entered the tent. It seemed that another volunteer had entered and he gave a quick smile towards him before putting up the rest of the bandages he had in his arms.
He noticed the guy walk straight to them and ask to help and shrugged a bit, though he wasn’t quite sure if the question was directed solely at him, it seemed to be directed more towards the nurse. “Sure, I better to have two people than one!” He replied, hoping that he wasn’t presuming anything such as if the nurse had some other ideas for the guy.
“I’m Tom by the way. Seems we’re stuck with each other here for now.” He said, extending his hand in greeting. I really need to be more social out here. Tom thought to himself, hoping he didn’t sound too much like a dork. He had surprised himself here in D.C. at how bad he was at introductions.

The nurse turned when a new voice filled the tent. Her small, beady eyes squinted at the dark haired boy before a too-wide smile spread across her mouth. "Ah look, more eager worker bees!" Her shrill voice would be hard to ignore and she clasped pudgy hands together once before they settled on wide hips. "There are more boxes near the back entrance of the tent," the woman informed Kit before nodding at Tom.
"Both of you go fetch them and fill the second cupboard over there." She pointed to where the boxes would be found and then over to the cabinet on the other side. Looking very pleased with herself, but also mildly threaten in that way only older, assertive women could be.
"Chop, chop boys. Festival opens in mere minutes. No diddle-daddling!"

Character Name: Kit Paine Location: Back Tent Entrance Action: Introducing himself to Tom while following directions from the NPC Nurse
Glad to find the other volunteer so friendly, Kit grinned back in response to the smile he was given before turning to the shrill-voiced nurse and nodding in acknowledgement. "You got it," he told her, heading toward the other boxes she had indicated.
On his way there, though, he managed to clasp the hand that had been extended to him by the other guy as he'd introduced himself. "Name's Kit. Pleasure to meet you, Tom," he said brightly, giving Tom's hand a firm shake before releasing it. "Looking forward to working with you. Though I wonder if we're going to be here the whole time or if we're allowed to look around later. Can't imagine there's going to be a whole lot of people needing our help at a music festival."
He supposed one never knew for sure, but how badly injured could someone get at an event such as this? Smiling at the silly ideas that came to mind, he quickly got to work in stacking a couple of the boxes full of bandages so he could carry them over to the cabinets near the nurse.

Character Name: Kit Paine Location: Leaving the Western Medical Tent Action: Going to check out what's happening around the festival and see if he can find anyone he knows
After the cupboards were filled with the bandages, Kit began to get restless. The festival had opened and events had started to take place.
"Hey, if you don't mind, I think I'm going to take a break and check out what's going on for a bit, okay?" he told the nurse and Tom. "If you need me to switch with you, Tom, or if anything else happens that I'm needed for, feel free to contact me on the radio." He held up his walkie-talkie. "Be back later~!"

Character Name: Tom Wolf Location: Tent middle Action: Putting away supplies still
They had just finished filling the supply cabinets when Kit said that he wanted to check out the rest of the festival for a bit. Tom didn't mind, but they hadn't been at the tent very long. Hopefully they wouldn't get overwhelmed by anything.
He gave a nod to the young man to tell him it was okay. They had radios so it wasn't like they couldn't communicate with each other.
After the other left Tom looked at the nurse. "Do you have anything else you need help with? I'm won't go for a while if you still need me." He said, willing to stay in the tent. He wanted to check out the rest of the festival, but he didn't need to be out long. This was a music festival after all and even in a tent this far away he knew his ears would be ringing by the end of all of it.

Character Name: NPC Nurse Location: Tent entrance Action: Being huffy that her volunteers are leaving (or trying)
She'd been busy straightening the bed sheets and barking orders at the men who were setting the supplies down near the back of the tent and didn't get a chance to address Kit before he was gone.
The nurse looked like a teapot ready to start screaming as her hands found her hips and she narrowed her eyes at the remaining volunteer. "I am aware that volunteering isn't the highlight of everyone's day and that things might be slow right now but that doesn't mean you can just wander off without permission or an exchange of staffing." She spoke rapidly, words stringing together as her face grew blotchy.
Clearly this was an older woman who was used to having things done her way.
She calmed slightly after a few deep breaths and then her expression softened at Tom. "You may look around the festival grounds for ten minutes, but if I have to send someone to collect you I'm going to be very unhappy."
