Leviathan Stage
If one were to keep walking through the center of the festival, past the information booth and hordes of vendors from both musicians and local vendors, then one would find a large stage that was technically in the center of the grounds but also near the back line of the fences temporary constructed to control the crowds.
Across the top was a darkly colored banner, the shadow of a leviathan beast painted in the background with the words Leviathan Stage scrawled across it. The constructed sides of the stage also bore the symbol of the beast and a URL for a twitch user; Leviathan.
This stage appeared to be larger than the others, perhaps in part to it being, quite literally, center stage. Or because it held the line up for the local talents the company had signed for the event. Interestingly, save for Performers Jade Argent and Robb Anybody, the listed performers were all along the lines of EDM.
Perhaps this was the stage to come and dance at or, depending on your interest, the place to find party favors. Either way, talented DJ The Technicolor Butterfly would be kicking off the festival with her electric jams.
While the official line up is listed at the information booth when you first walk in, if you ask one of the helpful stagehands, they'll inform you of who is playing on this stage and when, but be careful to not distract them. They've got a job to do!
Lineup 12:00 PM The Technicolor Butterfly 2:00 PM Flume 3:00 PM Robb Anybody 5:00 PM The Chainsmokers 6:00 PM Flume 7:00 PM Jade Argent whimsical blue if it suits your mood, please kick us off with Sid and her rainbow jams~

Lights flashed rainbow colors in energetic bursts as the base began to thump. Electric pops and hums layered over the beat and a woman sang, her voice distorted. I wanna be your angel.... I wanna be, wanna be... Stationed in the center of a stage far larger than any she was used to, Sidney James leaned over her boards and her fingers slid levers upwards, bright rainbow nails tapping out sequence that came out of the speakers in ripples of sounds in response. The Technicolor Butterfly was in fine form today, a glow with vivacity and joy as she swam through her element, a pair of headphones casing light up into her hair from their pulsing LEDs. Bracelets slid over her thin wrists as her hands moved, slender arms showing tan skin through the mess of her shirt, nothing under it but a bikini top above a pair of cut of jean shorts. There was such a different sound, out here in the open, than the dark, enclosed space of a bar... and already, she was floating on a cloud that had only part to do with her excitement and part what she had swallowed before taking the stage. I wanna be your... wanna be your... angel, baby. Her arms lifted as she swayed, the lights picking up the beat as it poured out over the crowd.

Character Name: Colin HargroveLocation: On the Leviathan stage Action: Performing with The Technicolor Butterfly and 9 other dancers from DCBC! To say that Colin Hargrove was excited about Anthemusa would have been an understatement of the most grievous sort. Even having to take his snooty cousin Ian along hadn't dampened his enthusiasm for it. Not only was he able to get a group of his fellow ballet dancers to dress up and do non-ballet dance while one of his friends spun the sound, he was able to test out how well his body would hold up to an actual on-stage performance. He'd been a bit wary - and also extremely anxious - to get back on stage after being injured so badly, but his body was ready. The doctors and physical therapists all said he was healed well enough to return to his previously intense schedule...but sometimes he worried about it and being part of the program was a really good stepping stone back to taking his place as the Prince of DCBC. It hadn't even taken much to get nine other dancers to agree to taking the stage with Sid, especially once he mentioned that it was likely to be highly televised. And Sid, bless her beautiful rainbow heart, had been extremely enthusiastic when he'd made the proposition. That she got to oogle ten very fit, very beautiful dancer bodies during their practices hadn't hurt anything either, he was sure. There had been several back-and-forth conversations about costuming; Renegade Media's liaison had requested that the dancers wear something that identified them as being part of the venue (rather than some crazy folks that just hopped up on stage to join an act) and Colin had been very pleased when they'd gone for white t-shirts bearing both the DCBC and Anthemusa logos (donated by some of the ballet company's favored patrons, of course). He'd initially suggested a sort of dance leotard under the t-shirts that fell to mid-thigh and covered the dancer's torso, but his friend had shook her head and made what was actually a much better suggestion. "I was thinking more like...fishnets and denim shorts." Sid had laughed when he'd responded that she only wanted that so she could see him - and the others - in booty shorts. In the end, they'd agreed on an 'airy' costume with respect to the heat they'd be working on. All ten of the dancers wore cut-off denim shorts that were as brief as possible while still offering some measure of modesty, their muscular legs clad in black oversized fishnet tights, with white logo-bearing t-shirts that had been cut into sleeveless, v-neck crop-tops to finish the 'uniform'. While it was suggested - but not required - many of the dancers had also opted to use brightly coloured hair-chalks to give themselves rainbow hued hair as a means of better matching with Sid's Technicolour Butterfly aesthetic. Any accessories followed a similar theme, as did the stage make-up. Colin himself wore an obscene number of jelly bracelets in vibrant colours and had put on a minimal make-up of dramatic black eye-liner with a rim of red eye liner that had been smudged out slightly with a matching eye-shadow and a bubble-gum pink lip-tint. He'd also gotten a temporary tattoo compromised of several small, glittery butterflies to put along the inside of his left arm, over his scar and up to a larger one on his left shoulder. He rather liked them, but knew he'd be finding glitter everywhere for months to come. Waiting at the sides of the stage for the music to start so that his group could make their entrance, Colin smiled brightly and picked at the fraying edge of his crop top; he'd spent a few days with Van to work on getting his costume perfect for Anthemusa, picking his make-up and making sure he could apply it the way he wanted - even checking that it would hold up to heat and sweat. Van had helped him find all the jelly bracelets climbing his arms, helped him pick out the brightly coloured plugs he'd bought just for this performance, and helped to cut his shirt per what the dancers and Sid had finally agreed upon. She'd laughed when he'd held up the butchered denim shorts, had fallen over giggling when Colin had wondered aloud if he'd cut them 'too short' - and then assured him he looked fine when they were on. Her companionship and help had been appreciated and enjoyed immensely - as had the reaction of her brother, John Jr., to the whole get-up the first time Colin had put it together. She'd taken photos for him to put up on social media, smiling brightly when he suggested she dress up too so they could be 'twins'. And yesterday evening, she'd helped him to get his hair sorted and coloured up the way he wanted (his nails had also been painted, but his sister had insisted on doing that bit for him). Van had listened to his halting admission that he was afraid his body would give out, that despite what the medical professionals said he wasn't ready, and she'd encouraged him in that warm, loving manner of hers. Sid's set started, the lights flashing just as they had during their practice run the day before (the last run); dancers strutted out from either side of the stage to frame the Technicolour Butterfly at work, ten beautiful dancers moving in sync with each other and with Sid's music - it wasn't ballet, but it was beautiful and fit - the product of hours and hours of work and preparation to create a whole that was energetic and (hopefully) pleasing to the crowd. Colin was absolutely, one hundred percent, in his element and loving it. He - like Sid herself - belonged at the center of attention. They were creatures of bright lights and music, of sensation and sound. Being on stage, performing was what they did, it was - perhaps - how they related best to the world around them. As he spun and twisted, the crowd a blur of colour and appreciative sound, he couldn't help laughing a little from the joy of it; his heart was bright, his head filled with the music Sid created. It felt good. It felt right. It felt like home. Whimsical Blue Sid has 10 beautiful dancers - 5 males, 5 females - attending her <3 <3 <3 Feel free to move them around/interact with them as you want/need/like! You know I'm down for it~ biggrin

Character name: Delphine RousseauLocation: Leviathan stage Action: Preforming with DCBC and Technicolor Butterfly This really wasn't the sort scene Delphine was comfortable with, but, when Colin had approached a group of dancers at the DCBC the petite girl had been unable to decline the request. And if she were honest with herself, she might actually have been a little excited for it. Hip hop was a side hobby. A guilty little pleasure she didn't let most people see, but it was one she was good at, and Colin was well aware of that fact. It hadn't taken much convincing, but if he'd needed to, it wouldn't have been hard for him to talk her into it. Now, the day of, lingering back stage, Delphi couldn't pretend she wasn't a little nervous. It was ironic, she thought, that she could wait behind the curtain as Cinderella for an opening night and feel only the barest hint of butterfly wings fluttering about her stomach, but this? This had the palms of her hands clammy, her pulse speeding as she waited with the other's stretching, waiting. It might have been the outfits. She'd worn things as revealing before. In fact, her powered attire left less to the imagination, but this was different. Purposefully meant to be alluring, to draw the eye, not merely an extension of the dancing. Not for the first time since she'd arrived the girl tugged at the back of her shorts, trying to get them to slid down another inch, to no avail. She'd allowed one of the other girl's to to her hair, and it was up in a stylish mess of bun, colorful lengths of chalk tinted silver hanging down the back and at her cheeks to frame her face. Her make up was darker than was usual for her, but again, that was to match the theme. When she looked in the mirror, her reflection bore only a passing resemblance of herself. Still pretty, just not... her. Ah well. When the music started it was startling, but the in an instant the nerves were gone, replaced by excitement, and she was following Colin and the other's out on stage, just as they'd rehearsed. Like him, like the bright girl they were accompanying, Delphine craved the weight of attention, the sure and unwavering knowledge that, even in a crowd, she could still draw the eye and capture it. Almost as much as ballet, this was her element, and she shone. whimsical blue HI, one more PC dancer, but you can puppet her around too. <3

Character Name: Jade Argent Location: Towards the back of the crowd Action: Watching Sid and DCBC
Jade had been making her way across the festival grounds to observe the set up and to make sure that everything was functioning as intended. Logistics were more Levi's thing, but the woman liked to check in on things as she could. Plus, per Mr. Renegade's insistence, it was important to make sure her face was seen by as many people as possible. The intention was to boost her viewer numbers and general ratings as well as reinforce that she was the so-called face of the company.
Her outfit was simple enough, nothing flashy enough to immediately draw attention to her but also something relatable for the people who recognized her. The shirt was loose fitting and airy, her shorts bright enough to draw attention to her legs, which she'd deemed one of her best features, and her hair had a pin to keep too much from falling into her face.
Somewhere her brother was lurking in the crowds and would surely surface when it was time for them to go on stage.
Until then, Jade stood at the edges of the crowd that had begun to gather for the Technicolor Butterfly's performance along with ogling the dancers that were on stage with her. She watched, amused, as they moved with a coordination she'd never replicate.
Oh, she was definitely rubbing in that the dancers had been an excellent idea.

Character Name: Ian St. GeorgeLocation: Leviathan Stage Crowd Action: Talking to Penelope and watching the show! Ian and Penelope followed the flow of people meandering towards the Leviathan Stage, the sounds of music and excited people growing louder and more defined the closer they came. The walk was pleasant enough, with expressions of interest for the quality of talent as well as a quick explanation as to why Ian's cousin would be on the stage. Up on the stage, the Technicolor Butterfly held court; her musical creations thrumming and pulsing over the growing crowd and - Ian took a moment to count - there were ten dancers on stage moving with the music in their brief-but-matching costumes and brightly coloured hair. Colin was quite easy for him to spot, of course, and others were somewhat familiar (though Ian did not spend much time with his cousin's co-workers as a rule). But then his eyes caught a second familiar face and he made a bit of a surprised sound. "Delphine's performing as well?" Fascinating. Ian had released Penelope's hand once they'd made it close enough to the stage and he turned further towards her, leaning in so that when he spoke she would have the best chance of hearing and understanding him clearly. "My cousin is the curly haired guy right there--" He pointed first to Colin and then to Delphine, "--and that young woman is Delphine, a friend of ours." Whether or not his lovely companion were actually interested in knowing whom his cousin was (never mind the young ballerina), Ian was sharing information and factoids. She had, after all, mentioned interest in 'local talent' and both the DJ, his cousin, and the other dancers were just that. "Colin is a principle ballet dancer at a local company, they're quite good and often have guest instructors and the like. I believe Misty Copleland came out at some point." Colin had mentioned it, but the dates and times were of no concern to Ian so he'd not held onto them. "The DJ apparently works several clubs and has become quite popular..I believe she and my cousin on something of a friendly basis, though I couldn't say more than that." He paused to watch and listen a bit, smiling, "They're actually quite good, don't you think?" The organic way that the dancers moved with the music - not just to it - was something else; they worked as a group, flowing around the DJ without crowding or covering her from the audience...and the music itself was rather electrifying. Ian was fairly certain he'd be stuck with parts of it tickling at his brain for days, which wasn't an awful prospect really, but 'earworms' could be bothersome if they stuck around for too long without resolution. I wonder if she puts her mixes online, it would be fortunate if so. Catchy as her work is, I could do without song fragments haunting me for weeks.

Character Name: Penelope Rey Location: Leviathan Stage Crowd Action: Listening to Ian
Penelope had slid her arm into his and allowed him to guide her towards the stage where his cousin was performing. Blue eyes swept across the still gathering crowd, watching as girls in shorts and things that barely constituted shirts danced happily and freely to the music the DJ was playing. What boys she saw amongst the crowd seemed to be enjoying themselves too.
Clearly, whomever had designed the setlist had chosen well when they'd picked the thin, rainbow haired woman for their opening act.
Penelope didn't miss the way Ian dropped her hand once he'd spotted Delphine. Curious, she thought, head tilting as she took in the lithe dance moving skillfully with the rest. Carefully, as though testing him she said, "she's cute. Are you sure she's just a friend?" Her tone was light and playful enough to make it seem like she was merely curious.
"The DJ seems to have quite the ear for music, checking her out at a club sounds like something worthwhile."

Character Name: Adrien DavidsLocation: LEVIATHAN STAGE? Action: Still wandering like a loser boss The music was pounding by the time Adrien arrived at the Leviathan stage, his eyes wide with curiosity and interest. There were people performing, jostling crowds, and a great deal of noise and laughter in general, and Adrien lapped it all eagerly up, drinking in the atmosphere with relish.
He'd always loved this sort of thing - chaos and madness and excitement. The thrill of being around so many people, and the thrum of music in his veins as he stared up at the band on stage, Adrien winding his way through crowds to get closer.
He didn't recognize anyone, of course, but it didn't hurt to come and see what was happening anyway.

Character name: Delphine RousseauLocation: Leviathan stage Action: Preforming with DCBC and Technicolor Butterfly Absolutely lost in the music and the movements of the dance, Delphine was rather oblivious to the crowd that had had gathered in front of the stage to watch them and DJ hey were providing back up for. It actually took her quite some time, and a very slight lull in the transitional music for the girl to even begin to pay the patrons any mind. Unlike the stages she was used to preforming on, there was no bright lights to mask the crowd. They were, when the chance allowed to focus on them, clear as day. though there were a good number of bodies now, and picking up on any one individual was not an easy task. Besides that, was there much reason for it? Which meant it was luck, more than anything else, that let the silver haired dancer spot the tall blonde in the crowd, and a a second look(in the middle of a flawless twirl) to be sure it was indeed Ian she was seeing. Colin hadn't mentioned he'd be here!Did it matter? A little bit. These were certainly not the sort of clothes he was used to seeing her in, nor was this even remotely the sort of dancing he'd come to expect from the delicate ballerina. This was a part she tended not to flaunt around much, but...there was nothing for it now. He was there, and she wasn't about to let his presence throw her. Much. But who was that with him? The lovely woman with the corn silk colored hair. And just what were they talking about?

The Technicolor Butterfly and the dancers from Destiny City Ballet Company have been killing it with their moves and grinds to the beat of the DJ's incredible mixes but the time is winding down and it's nearing the end of the set. Up next is Flume who will be followed by Robb Anybody another local act that Anthemusa is dying to share.
It seems like Techincolor Butterfly has enough time for two more songs before she's gotta vacate the stage.
Audiences are encouraged by surrounding festival staff, and the constant cameramen filming, to look up the woman and her sick playlists.
whimsical blue in the interest of moving things along, we're ready to move to the next set <3 syrie dancers are welcome to stay for all DJ-esque sets and for Jade's but check with Tatter before sticking around for Robb's! They also are free to wander the grounds and sets as desired~ tatterpixie letting you know things are moving forward

Character Name: Penelope Rey Location: Stage Crowd Action: Collapsing on Ian
It was too easy to get swept up in the beat of the music and watching the dancers. Penelope was incredibly curious about this Delphine figure but she was also more preoccupied with assuring that her companion's attention was properly directed on her.
If she found an excuse to let her hand linger on his arm or to slide a little bit closer, well it wasn't just for show.
She enjoyed Ian.
But suddenly she felt incredibly light-heated, ability to focus marred even as the technicolor butterfly and her dancers were finishing up their last set to switch out for Flume and someone called Robb Anybody.
The world seemed to tip beneath her and Penelope fell into Ian because suddenly standing wasn't so easy.
"I don't - I don't feel so great..."

Character Name: Ian St. George Location: Stage Crowd Action: Being collapsed on and going to med tent! Delphine on stage, Penelope at his side. Interesting. Would the delicate dancer be threatened by his friendship with Penelope? Ian did so enjoy the attentions of women being possessive - to a point, it was charming and flattering. Good music, well spun, paired with lithe bodies in motion - the set really was engaging, so it took him a moment before he realized that the woman at his side was swaying not with any lingering music, but for another reason. Ian managed to catch Penelope before she collapsed, brows going up with surprise and dismay. She said she wasn't feeling well and he believed it - she was pale and weak; clearly in need of the medical tent and incapable of making it there on her own. "Well then," He slipped an arm around her shoulders and dipped to put another under her knees, scooping her up into a princess-style (bridal) carry; it required him to jostle her a bit for a proper hold, but once settled she was manageable without trouble. "I think we ought to take you to the medical tent." Ian made his way through the crowd, back towards the medical tent near the entrance. [EXIT to MED TENT with PENELOPE]

Flume has come and gone while some of the crowd experienced dizzing spells. Anyone who's display too many attributes of heat stroke have been whisked away by their companions or some of the festival staff that had been waiting on the sidelines.
Looks like one Robb Anybody is up and ready to perform a set sure to slay what remains of the crowd. It's looking a little thinner, but it's not due to the lack of interest but because some silly attendees didn't drink their water!whimsical blue sid is officially off stage and free to wander grounds as she pleases tatterpixie robb's set is up for your leisure

Character Name: Sailor Sparks Location: On the outskirts of the stage perimeter Action: Observing the crowd
Sparks had their mouth in a thinly pressed line, hands curling and uncurling into fists. Tension lined their shoulders and it was clear that the cogs in their mind were clinking and churning slowly but forcefully. They didn't like the way they'd been forced into something so serious when it was a festival designed to be filled with fun and music and joy.
But they had, the whole team had, been watching Renegade media ever since the Ally Argent videos had gone viral.
"Look around us Castalia," Sparks snapped unintentionally. "There are cameras everywhere, what makes you think anyone can power up here?" That had been the whole reason the team had come in disguise despite the way the heat pricked and poked at them. "I don't think he's one of them," Sparks admitted, seemingly checking on the inside of their cheek as their gaze swept across the crowd. "But we'll manage if it comes down to it. I mean, at least it'll be six against one."
Until the man summoned lackies.
They'd cross that bridge when they got there. "The main point of the mission is to shut the operation down." Their gaze settled upon one Jade Argent, who looked concerned near one of the stages. Her brow had furrowed as people were being carried off by others when they started to get weak on their feet.
