The old dark lion moved along the beach as easily as he always had. He had lived at the sea for more of his life than he had any where else. Age was starting to slow the giant of a lion but he still stood tall and strong. He had seen many changes in the Bahari over the years and this was just another. He had always supported the lords and ladies of the pride and seeing this new union happen made him pleased. The pride was stabilising again and the future of its royal family was assured. Well as long as Ram made it through the ceremony.



Poseidon followed behind his father, his head held high, he came from a long line of sea lions and he enjoyed a celebration twice as much as most. The new queen would be crowned on the beach and there was no greater celebration in the eyes of the black and white male. Turning around quickly he nudged his older brother "Hey Vuai, try to look happy okay?" he rolls his eyes "Come on kids lets get this party started!"



Vuai growled at his brother. "alright, alright, stop pestering me I promise to be happy." He snorts speeding up a little to move between his younger brother and their father.



"Okay Pa! calm down we're coming!" she giggles catching up to her father and rubbing under his chin. "We've got plenty of time!"



Afina paused for a moment and gave a sigh "You know we aren't little kids any more father." She states rather blandly looking around for her mate and her own children.



Triton rushes past his mother, nudging her with his nose on his way past before running to catch up with his grandfather, great uncle and great grandfather. He admired them so much they were great warriors and he aspired to be one of them.


Nuzhah saunters up behind her deep blue mother and nuzzles in to her side. "hello momah." she whispers a sweet smile on her maw.



Leucothea sashayed on to the beach her head and tail held high. She was always confident, sassy and ready to go. This day was no exception, she was looking forward to the celebrations, and ready to have fun.



Liviyathan was keeping her distance. She was happy to watch the proceedings from afar, maybe she would saunter down at some point but for the moment she was happy to watch established families congregate on the rocky outcrop.

It seemed they had arrived at a prosperous time. The king was getting married. Desher hoped the king liked his new mate. Although there seemed to be some ceremony that the king had to complete first; he wasn’t too clear on all that. What he was glad to see, was so many members out and about. He wanted to start getting to know the members of his new pride. A gathering in celebration was one of the best ways to bring lots of lions together at once.

Desher approached with his mate, Lani, at his side. “There’s quite a few here already,” he murmured to her. His eyes noted the many booths set up; some occupied, and some not. He definitely wanted to go check them out too.










He was excited for the wedding celebration! Everyone could relax and have fun! Or well almost everyone. The king could too if he passed his trials. If he didn’t of course it wouldn’t be much of a celebration for him. Eade hoped the king made it. He headed up to the beach at an eager trot. There would be a lot of fun activities that he was looking forward to doing.





A young cub bounced his way through the sinking sand. Yang didn’t let the drag at his paws pull him down! This was a day for fun and games! He didn’t understand all of it, but most important was that he’d be able to play to his heart’s content. Yang wanted to run, and dig in the sand, and swim in the ocean. The dirtier he could get, the happier he would be.

Hima stood on the shore, watching the ceremony from a distance. Since arriving in teh Bahari from the Kizi she had come to enjoy the ocean, swimming in it at least one a day. Her fur had finally started to take on that natural curl from the salty water and air, making her look more like a member of the pride than she had been before she had joined. She felt like the look suited her and she made a point to keep the tuft on her head a bit longer than usual to make sure she looked as wonderful as possible at any given moment.

The lioness chuckled as she watched Ram pick his way carefully across the slippery, jagged rocks. He had told her abotu the rite of passage he had to go through to be a 'worthy' king, and she found it a little silly that all he had to do was trapse across some rocks. She had found the barnacle-covered stones by the shore rather painful to step on, but the rocks that were slick with seaweed and water were simply a matter of taking ones time and watching each footstep.

She knew this was important tot he pride and to Ram, to an extent, so she had kept her comments to herself. For hte most part. She had informed Ram that if he fell off she'd still share his den but he'd never hear the end of it from her.



The day was another beautiful one as Udayi made her way down to the beach where some sort of ceremony was going on. This was her first big event since joining the pride just a week or so ago and she was very excited for it. It would give her a chance to see how the pride worked as a whole rather than meeting individuals as she went about her day.

Deciding to watch the lions out on the rocks for the time being, Udayi sat down in the warm sand with her toes in the water as the waves lapped at the shore. Good thing it wasn't stormy or those lions might have been in a bit of trouble!



Starfire sat eagerly at the edge of the water as well, watching Ram step out onto the rocks. This was her first real assignment her mother Fireheart had given her to do on her own. Sure, there had been smaller tasks within the pride, but this felt like the first real step to taking over as Queen in the Kizi. Still in training, Starfire was going to be sure to be on her best and most attentive behavior today, trying to mingle and make as many friends as she could once this 'main event' was over.

Spotting her sister Nelly smiled and left Asker, with nemmie in tow, to go greet their future queen. "Starfire, It's wonderful to see you here as well." She said smiling as she took a seat beside her and gazed up towards Ram. "Are you anxious?" She asked curiously, it was sort of a double sided question. It was exciting though, and likely very tiring having to learn everything there is to know about not only your pride but the neighboring one. Though at the same time it would have to be terribly exciting. At least she thought so.



Asker watched as Nelly joined Starfire and turned his attention towards Pili curious to see how the young lioness was taking the mixing of the two prides at current. He was aware some of the younger lions were sometimes uneasy with all the strange faces and he wanted to at least help her settle her nerves if she was nervous anyway. "Hello there, I'm Asker." He said greeting her warmly.

She was almost startled as the large blue lion approached her and she shook her head and gave a smile. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Pilixcatzin, but you can call me Pili for short." She said with a grin. Her name was sometimes hard to pronounce so she didn't mind if they gave her a nickname.

Desher hadn't been looking long when a white coat caught his attention. He'd met her on the beach and talked with her awhile, but he'd never gotten her name. Silly of him rather. While he wanted to call out to get her attention he wasn't sure what to say. 'Hey lion' would be rude and get everyone looking at him. No that wouldn't work. Maybe he could get them closer.

Just as he was about to head that direction though, a black raven landed before them. He was slightly surprised Lani knew the bird, but accepted it. "Hello Fionnan," he greeted the bird. "I hope the stories have been good?" Desher didn't think Lani would tell bad stories about him anyway.


Eade wandered among the gathering spectators and guests. He moved toward the shore where he could better watch the king as he tried to pass his trial. The bright maned male gave a nod to the king's future bride when he saw her standing nearby as well. She'd really want her mate to succeed he'd guess. As a bachelor, he was mostly clueless about that sort of thing.


It wasn't long before he spotted another cub among the adults. Yang bounced over to the equally blue male. "Hello! What's your name? Let's go play." There was nothing better than having a friend along on an adventure. As long as said friend didn't mind getting dirty. Pink eyes regarded the other male impatiently. He wasn't going to wait around forever!
