
Philo was almost half way there. School had become such a nightmare for the little hybrid, that there was rarely ever any enjoyment. Philo couldn't wait to grow up, to be down with this place, to be able to say "Good Riddens!" to the vast majority of the student populous. He wanted nothing more than to graduate, to say goodbye to all those teachers who had no idea of the torment he suffered at the hands of people like Wednesday. Granted, there had been a few teachers who had been kind to him. Had showed him gentleness and offered him cookies whenever he'd be upset. In his heart, he felt the odd few teachers knew he was lonely. Though, being teachers, they couldn't really do anything more than let the caretakers know to pay a bit more attention to him while he was at school. But, Philo didn't love at the academy. He lived with his mom, Talfia -- the Life Skills teachers with the bad reputation. Philo had heard the rumors. He was aware his mother might be in love with one of her students ... but Philo never wanted to acknowledge that.
Philo wanted to grow up so he could bring his moms back together. He wanted their family to be happy and whole, instead of constantly feeling this rift between everyone. Maybe, with enough careful action and dedication to his goal, Philo might one day see a happy ending to his family story.
That was what kept him going. That was what made him feel like tomorrow was a concept worth facing. He just had to keep moving forward ...]
